Dr. Margolis was very knowledgeable about my diseases , however, on pre-surgery evaluation his staff was very rude. I was spoken to like a child, as were several other patients. They did not acknowledge concerns or problems. After filling out the 45 minutes of paperwork for pre-existing conditions, they called before surgery to ask the same questions again. Are they unable to read? The day of the surgery I had a reaction to the anesthesia and vomited for four hours before i called and they phoned a prescription in. I continued to vomit. When I returned the next day for my post-opt check, my niece and I told them I was still vomiting. They replied that I had prescriptions for pain and nausea in my Ziploc of drops. We both told them there were none. We still never received any that day. I left still vomiting. I was also told my regular optometrist would be in charge of all post-operative care. He wasn't the surgeon, so i have to pay him in addition. I called today needing more drops, only to be told i had prescriptions in my bag and be called a liar by the nurse in charge. This is not a professional staff's reaction. I am not a person dependant on drugs. I am a college educated person who is 63. I do not have dementia or Alzheimer. I only told the truth that they had not given prescriptions . I would not recommend this facility for competent eye care from the staff.

Really good doctors and always friendly and apt to answer questions, however, the wait is TOO LONG. we even got there early and ended up waiting 2 hours before we got put into a room and another 30 min before the doctor came to see us. Unfortunately this is the only specialist for corneas in NEA, so we are stuck driving 1.5 hrs every few months to come here.

He was killed in an automobile accident. Well that is how long I've trusted these doctors with my eyes and I know that they and the staff are looking out for me and my eyes. Oh yessssss,if ya ever need any eye surgery, this is the place to go get it done...I had both eyes done & never felt a thing..now I don't have to wear glasses..it seems so strange to set at my computer & no glasses..had to wear them for years.. Went in with an issue and even though the waiting room was somewhat full, I was called back quickly. Worked up by Autumn Mathews, assisted with paper work from Jessica Halcomb and lastly seen by Dr Vanessa. After examination everything was explained to me in detail and they made sure I knew what was going on. All very friendly, fast and looking forward to going back. Thanks ladies!

This is the worst place I have ever been. It takes ages until they can attend you. I'm under 30 years old, they diagnosed me with cataract. I never had any signs of cataract in my whole life. I have undergone surgery with them. After that my eye couldn't have been worse. Before I could see for close distance, now I cannot. After surgery they said that I was going to need glasses, but they said they were not going to prescribe any. They said that I should go to Walmart and buy one over the counter. Impossible to buy one to satisfy my needs due to I needed prescription lenses only for one eye, and it is not possible to find it at Walmart. I went to other ophthalmologist and they said that I have no signs of cataract. Southern Eye said that I had it in both eyes, but for the moment I was going to need surgery only in one. I'm gathering together information with my lawyer to sue them. Also before surgery they are supposed to offer you which lenses you want bifocal or monofocal and they just put monofocal without asking me first. Bifocal allows you to see close and far distance.

Dr Margolis is awesome and the techs are too! I am diabetic and have had Laser Vision Surgery. Dr. Margolis is very attentive and listens to you along with the staff make it such a great experience. I highly recommend Southern Eye Associates for the best eye care in town.

Worst place to have an appointment in Jonesboro. Wait time and crowded waiting room is terrible. I was never contacted about an appointment to get my retina repaired in Memphis. After leaving numerous messages and not getting a return call back I decided to stay on hold an hour to speak with the appointment scheduler. She made an untrue statement. Not organized at all!!!!

Waited 6 weeks to see Dr Stank, the day before my appointment I expected to get a call to confirm but didn’t so decided to call. They had changed my appointment From October 31 to January 9th without contacting me. They 1st said someone had called and changed the appointment. When asked who had called they changed the story to being overbooked. The day I was to go I got a card in the mail saying the dr was going to be out that day. Which of the 3 stories where the truth or maybe none of them. Elite eye care of Paragould who had made the appointment was able to get me in at vision Care on the 31st when I had already took off work and will have the cataract Surgery in November well before I would see Dr Stank. I will not be going back to southern eye. The Doctors and staff at Vision Care are wonderful. They will have my business from now on.
