Had two different consultations to get LASIK here. Get to the procedure and the doctor (McCulloch) literally messed up 4 times and told me I wan not eligible for LASIK during the procedure. My eye is bloodshot read and burns and I’m stuck here with pain for who knows how long. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I, too, had an issue with the clerical staff at the Scottsdale office, but I did have a positive response to the issue from the office manager, Daisy. I went in for a routine check up and script for new glasses. I paid my office visit co-pay and within about ten minutes I was seen by the tech. He and the opthamologist were very good, thorough, and answered all my questions quickly and professionally. No problem. Got to the check out area and was told that I owed an additional $55. I questioned it, but didn't want to get into a back an forth without checking my with my insurance company first. My insurance company confirmed I didn't owe the extra and I called Horizon to see what they would do about it. They answered within a few rings, I explained, they said they would get back to me. About 15 minutes later, Daisy, the office manager explained what had happened and that it really was a clerical mistake. To my surprise and thanks, she said she would refund the overpayment immediately, no problem. The mistake shouldn't have been made in the first place but Daisy's friendly and professional response was the bottom line here. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's the recovery that counts. Kudos to Daisy for the way she handled the clerical oversight.

Dr Angela Kovacik is by far the best eye specialist I have ever had!! I have a concern with my eyes that began several years ago and I must be closely monitored . I visit Dr Kovacik for eye exams every 6 months. She takes very good care of my eyes along with any related concerns that may be linked to my physical health!! She has a wonderful and very sweet personality that is genuinely kind and caring!!

Professional excellence. The staff is efficient to a fault. Dr. Levin's surgical skills in my experience are superb. I had cataract surgery with correction for astigmatism - the whole nine yards pretty much. No regrets. After the first surgery, Dr. Levin actually called that evening to check on me. Dr Levin has now performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, the left having been done on February 5. What can I say beyond the results are perfect! I am no longer restricted on my driver's license and my vision is far better than it has been since I was in my 20s. Aside from his expertise Dr Levin has a very pleasant demeanor and a wonderful "bedside manner." I heartily recommend him to anyone seeking vision care.

The doctors never know what they will find or what a patient will need. This is not an assembly line they are taking care of patients one at a time. I never felt rushed by my doctor and that is one thing I really appreciate.

This place is awesome!! The staff is so friendly, their offices are super clean, and they have some incredible technology! I went in for my assessment and they found that I was a good candidate for Lasik. I wore glasses and contacts since I was in second grade so needless to say I was pretty excited to get rid of them! I scheduled my appointment and they gave me a lot of info and instructions that made my surgery day very stress free. They were very thorough with explaining everything in a way that I could easily understand. I got the surgery and I couldn't be happier!! My vision was a little cloudy the day of surgery but when I woke up the next day everything was clear! I was seeing better than 20/20 less than 24 hours after surgery! AMAZING!! I am so happy to finally be able to trail run without worrying about losing a contact lens! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I had been having eye issues for several months, and initially thought it was due to allergies. It wasn't going away, and I called to see if I could get a same-day appointment as a new patient. The folks at Horizon Eye Specialists were very accommodating and actually squeezed me in that day. I saw Dr. Kramer, who was very thorough, and she knew immediately what needed to be done. Since then, I've had another appointment, and I have a treatment plan in place. Dr. Kramer is very astute and has a solid understanding of my condition. The staff is very courteous and kind, and the wait times are very minimal - my appointments started on time. I would recommend Horizon Eye Specialists to anyone needing eye care!

Don't trust them. I came out with double vision, one eye far sighted the other near sighted and one eye slanted. Then the Dr tried to convince me I always had double vision. Sure. I'd like to give them negative stars.

Dr. Kovacik and her staff at Horizon Eye Specialists removed cataracts from both of my eyes this past summer. Their work was nothing short of outstanding. I was treated well, appointments were always quick and on time with very little waiting. Dr. Kovacik is brilliant. She's easy to talk to, down to earth, yet you sense she is great at what she does. She recommended mono vision for me (distance lens in one eye, reading lens in the other). I still use glasses for perfect correction, but without glasses I can now see fine; I no longer feel handicapped without my glasses. I would highly recommend Dr. Kovacik to any and all of my family and friends and trust that she would do a perfect job.

I had LASIK performed by Dr. McCulloch on June 29 and the entire experience was amazing. The employees are so friendly and efficient, and everyone that I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the process and procedure. Dr. Cook answered all of my questions and thoroughly explained what to expect. .Dr McCulloch talked me through the whole procedure, which kept me calm and entertained. Before LASIK I struggled to see more than a foot in front of me - at my same day post op visit I was seeing 20/20. I could not be more happy with my results! My Mother had a cataract removal performed by Dr. Herro in August of 2017. She has had three retina specialist confirm that Dr. Herro ripped the sac that the lens goes in. She has had excrutiating pain in her left eye since her surgery. When my Mother called she was told she can come to the Scottsdale office for a consultation but her surgery would not be corrected. She was negated by this office several times when she would call about her concerns of constant pain. Perhaps, if this office did not schedule back to back surgeries more time and care could go into their patients. I will be researching malpractice suits.

Better than Botox! I wore contacts, then glasses, and I did a lot of squinting. Finally, I went to Horizon Eye. My only regret is not going to these fine people sooner. After doing refractive lens exchange in both eyes, people tell me, "You look so refreshed!" Yes, that's because I don't squint anymore. Now, thanks to Horizon Eye, I wear no glasses or contacts - not even reading glasses! And, I am in my 50s! Perfect vision has changed my life in wonderful, unimaginable ways. It's like seeing for the first time. Listen, I didn't have any cataracts and I will NEVER get cataracts. Now, I simply have "bionic eyes!" Best part of going through this process? The entire staff is great, especially with their care in explaining everything and dispelling any of your fears. They even have great financing options Jamie was my surgery counselor and she is professional, organized, and very kind. Dr. Duncan was my surgeon for both times, doing 1 eye at a time. You can tell that Dr. Duncan is passionate about surgery and focused on the best outcome for you. I saw at least 5 technicians and 3 doctors in this practice, and each time, I was pleasantly surprised at how much they LOVE their work and value each contact with patients. Even the front desk has it all together, and I think it is because they hire well, manage well, and the top management sets a high standard.

Very disappointed with their lack of time management at their office and the difficulty in getting anyone to answer their phone. Expect to wait about 30 min for your appointments. The surgery itself went ok. I was very nervous right before the surgery and just wanted them to check my prescription again. It would have taken less than 5 min to do so, just to calm my nerves. I was disappointed that they would not. They just kept telling me it would be fine. My eyes were severely blood shot after the surgery and it lasted 3 weeks before finally dissipating. It's been over 4 weeks, and I still have issues with focusing and “floaters” in my vision. I believe that's not too uncommon of a side effect. My problem now is trying to get a hold of a person to make my follow-up appointment. When I was lucky enough to get someone to answer their phone, they put me on hold and disconnected soon after. I was on hold for over 35 min. So don't bother calling anywhere close to closing time at 5:30 or leaving a message.

I went originally to see Dr. McCulloch for cornea replacement surgery, which I did not want to do.The thought scared me to death. But Dr. McCulloch said he was bringing in Dr. Duncan with a new procedure to do a cornea graf. A lot shorter recovery time and better results for my problem. Dr Duncan is one of the Best. He did a cornea graf on one eye and because of his calm attitude he really made it a lot easier for me. I was really upset when I went in the first time and after talking to Dr. Duncan I felt like I was in good hands. In 4 days I was amazed at how good my vision was, 20/30. Now I can see 20/20 in that eye. Other eye is scheduled and I am looking forward to it. Thank you Dr Duncan, Dr McCulloch, and Horizon Eye Specialist.

After much reading and searching for an eye Dr. I called Horizon Eye Specialists. I have moved 18 times and lived in 2 other countries, so with that I can say I have seen Good, Bad and in between Drs. If I am not comfortable with the office staff or Dr. I simply pay and find someone better. I can honestly say from the first phone call to schedule an appointment all the way through, I was never disappointed. My first appointment was with Dr. Jeffrey Smith, at that appointment I was advised of scar tissue and other issues from a previous torn retina, and needed to see a Retinal Specialist. He referred me to Dr. Goldenberg, another excellent Dr. I was very happy with. Dr. Smith also advised me of cataracts on both eyes, which I knew about before moving to Scottsdale and just put off, but realizing they definitely needed done. At that time I booked an appointment with Dr. McCulloch....I now know why he had so many many good reviews...I chose Precision Vision, Dr.McCulloch explained all my options and never once did I (or my Hubby, he did go to the appoints with me) feel he tried to talk me into anything. It was very clear and we had time to discuss what would be best. After 60+ years of glasses and contacts I can SEE without them. Thank You Dr. McCulloch! I then returned to Dr. Smith for a followup visit to perfect my vision to perfect and did get glasses for night driving, but daily I don’t even wear them. I have never had this crystal clear vision before so everything is so good....Thank You Dr. Smith! And I can’t forget the Staff....never, never have I been to a Drs. Office with such a GOOD STAFF. If you are just looking for an excellent eye Dr. Start with Dr. Jeffrey Smith! I’m 72 years old, don’t usually write reviews but this group deserves another 5 ⭐️

My husband is a patient of Dr. Angela Herro Kovacik. He needed to get looked at because he was losing side vision due to his drooping eyelids. Our experience with Dr. Kovacik was wonderful. She is knowledgeable and kind. The office seemed busy when we were waiting for the appointment but we never felt rushed with her. She carefully listened to our concerns, discussed our options thoroughly, and recommended a good surgeon to take care of the eyelids. Today was the fourth try to get the prescription for eyeglasses. Every single time the prescription numbers was different. The first three times the reading was done by cute little girls. They offered me for an extra $55 an optometrist going to do that and that's going to make a big difference okay go for it I thought. Then here comes the fourth visit again different numbers. When your optometrist using the word I don't know or I have no idea it doesn't really appear to me professional. Of course there is no reason to believe the final prescription would be the right one so I have no reason to get another eyeglass. Place look great clean but I have zero confidence with this facility. The office manager graciously try to refund me the co-pay ($5). After they unable to doing their job. I can imagine how much they charge my insurance company for the four visits. it's a joke I never going to go back there.

Why don't I see any reviews or history of any of the doctors at Horizon? I am the kind of patient that prefers to know a bit of history of the doctor I am about to see, and by the way, I was given no other options. I was asking for Dr. J. Levin but he does surgery only! I was told.
