I've been a patient of Dr.Olson for several years. I have wet macular degeneration and have lost vision in one eye and am now experiencing the same in the other eye. My experience with this office was not pleasant, to say the least. It's a shame the owners/Dr.'s do not know their receptionists are running off patients. I called to make an appointment for my special needs son. After waiting on hold for several minutes, the receptionist asked for his insurance information. When I stated he had Arizona Complete Care, she rudely interrupted and informed me "those patients are sent to Nationwide Vision". I informed her I had received Barnet Dulaney Perkins from an online referral list, but that I certainly wouldn't bother her and I would find another office. I suggest this office provide employees with a diversity training course.

I was very impressed with Dr.Olson and will return when my eyes are in need. I also really liked his assistant she was very personable and down to earth which was very calming. I read some reviews on here of others coming down on the actual office space, office staff, and waiting room which is unfortunate because I would wait in any kind of room to see an excellent doctor. I am a very picky person, but like I said, I see many specialist; some in very fancy office settings who lack in their ability to show up in the way my health needs them to. All in all , I highly suggest making a visit.

Staff is unorganized inefficiency is rampant, old technology, long waits. The place is meant for old people with glaucoma, not for a simple eye appointment for a contact prescription, which I did not realize. The doctor himself was nice and seemed knowledgeable, however.

I called 5 before I was treated with respect and dignity by the intake operator from Barnet Dulaney Perkins. She made arrangements for me to see an ophthalmologist within a few days on an emergency basis. Even though the office is a distance from where I live, I feel very satisfied with Dr. Olson and will see him in the future. All personnel were pleasant and professional....and I didn't have to wait long. Dr. Olson was all business but with a gentle manner and gave me assurance that my eye would heal quickly.

I asked when I get checked in if they were running on time or if they were running behind, and she did not indicate they were running behind. I am working today, apparently to them my time is not as valuable as theirs is. Certainly they could call patients and let them know If they are running more than an hour behind schedule and allow patients the ability to reschedule.

The is the most fraudulent company I have ever gone to. They lie and make you pay charges that other companies do not. They claimed I had things wrong with my eyes that I did not so that they could collect more money. They also said they had to use a certain machine on me immediately that would have cost me $180.00. I ask the girl in the back if this machine was brought in from another facility, as I was told, and if she was only there for that day. She said no....they cancelled me continually. I finally went some place else, Hodges, and had my surgery done. I am turning this company into the Attorney General's Office for fraud. Please I beg you to call another facility. I am so pleased with Hodges. No extra fees and no extra co pays for the visits....This company is a rip off to all of the elderly......

The receptionist here is very rude. After asking if the routine eye exam would include a contact lens exam, she insisted that she didn't know what the insurance company would cover. After trying to clarify several times, she was very snotty and would not answer my questions. I would be happy to try using this center, but the receptionist is not worth dealing with again.

They were very helpful and the wait was not long at all, update : my second and third visit didn't go well. I was treated like an idiot and told nothing was wrong with me.. They agree that I have blurry vision but they tell me i'm fine. My last visit was for floaters and lightning flashes, and I could sense they felt I was being a bother to them including the prissy medical aid trying to talk in code to the doctor. I will not be returning to this place, there are plenty of other options out there. They better hope that the latest diagnoses Of my eye was correct because I only have one eye, the other was born blind.

Went in for a 10am appointment. Never got past the front. Medicare and AHCCCS no good here. Cash only not check, debit, or credit in my case. Was there for cataract evaluation. Was sent by Chris Began O.D., Nationwide Vision, who said he was a patient and they're the best. That was 7/21/16. Cataracts have altered things drastically. Can't see much any more. Dr. Olsen is very proffesional. Gave me knowledge I had not had in the past about my eyes and very informative... Very much appreciated. I would recommend him 10 times over, to my friends, since my family does not live in Tucson. Lol! Staff was very professional as well. The receptionist here is very rude. After asking if the routine eye exam would include a contact lens exam, she insisted that she didn't know what the insurance company would cover. After trying to clarify several times, she was very snotty and would not answer my questions. I would be happy to try using this center, but the receptionist is not worth dealing with again.

His gentle approach calmed my fears, and he seemed to understood my fears and completely dealt with each of them. What a pleasure it was to meet a Doctor who actually cared about his patients. They were very helpful and the wait was not long at all, update : my second and third visit didn't go well. I was treated like an idiot and told nothing was wrong with me.. They agree that I have blurry vision but they tell me i'm fine. My last visit was for floaters and lightning flashes, and I could sense they felt I was being a bother to them including the prissy medical aid trying to talk in code to the doctor. I will not be returning to this place, there are plenty of other options out there. They better hope that the latest diagnoses Of my eye was correct because I only have one eye, the other was born blind.

I would not even give this place one star if I could have done a review without it... I had an Appointment at 2:20 and it is now 3:45 and I have yet to see a Doctor, Absolutely ridiculous!!! If I showed up that late for an appointment they would make me reschedule I can't believe they run a business like this with absolutely no regard their patients schedules in their life. Went in for a 10am appointment. Never got past the front. Medicare and AHCCCS no good here. Cash only not check, debit, or credit in my case. Was there for cataract evaluation. Was sent by Chris Began O.D., Nationwide Vision, who said he was a patient and they're the best. That was 7/21/16. Cataracts have altered things drastically. Can't see much any more. Benjamin Banghart was seen about 5 mths. The front office staff is terrible, rude. Unacceptable! I went in to get a copy of Benjamin prescription. He was waiting in the car. He just had a chemotherapy treatment. I sat for a hour. Finally I told them, I couldn't wait. Benjamin was in the car. Not even did anyone acknowledge my concern. I left with no copy. Called asked for copy to be faxed to National eye wear. No faxed received. National also called for fax. They were rude to them. Told them a fax would be send. Did not receive. National called yesterday. Refused to give them prescription. Here we are for appt 2/2/18 No fax of rx. We called several times. By me & National eye wear. Very upset with their customer service. Benjamin has Medicare. I will make sure United Health is aware of how we were treated!! Your all about quantity not quality! I'm tired of the cat, mouse game you play. We are patients referred by our insurance. We would think you would act in a professional way!

She explained every test, what it was for, as well as what I was to expect and she answered my questions. The Doctor was also kind, welcoming and gave me a thorough eye examination. I called immediately upon discharge from urgent care. The receptionist proceeded to yell at me and tell me that I was late for an appointment that I had not yet made. After explaining the situation, she continued to yell and insist I had missed my appointment. I ended up hanging up and asking to be referred elsewhere.

Pretty terrible start to my adventure with this eye center. I called to make an appointment and they told me I had to wait a month just to get an eye check-up for contacts. So I did. When I got there, the receptionist had issues verifying my insurance card and wouldn't let me go in for my appointment (about 30 minutes) after my appointment time. The nurses are neither extremely warm nor rude. The actual doctor though was a lot nicer than the rest of his staff. They also have an optical so you can order frames and your glasses immediately. Overall the visit was bittersweet.
