My doctor set up a retina appointment at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center only for them to cancel my appointment twice telling me I don’t need a retina Doctor. Finally at the 3th attempt to schedule with retina we see Dr Horseman who was Amazing and patient and told me I have a detachment that needs Emergency Surgery immediately. Just would like to tell Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center to please take your patients referrals seriously

I had my cataracts done here in January 2019. While I liked the doctors and most of the staff, I was not pleased with the manner in which patients were herded through the processes like cattle. But the worst part of it was their "patient care coordinators" - it wasn't about patient care - it was high pressure sales pitches to get you to pay extra money for extra treatment. No means no - or it should. Yet the first one I met with pushed the same procedure 6 times AFTER being told no. The main reason I'm dissatisfied with the results from my surgery is that they neglected to tell me that I would lose ALL of my up close vision. It is so bad now that I can't even see myself in a mirror unless it's more that a foot away. Needless to say - my eyebrows have gone unplucked since the procedure because I cannot see to pluck them. The irony? I was supposed to be getting my reading vision better. Only if I hold the book at arms length. I waited months to write a review - because I was too angry to be fair and I thought that time might help me adjust to it. It didn't help.

Not going to be coming back. First, they have the techs do your vision correction w the different lenses it was never checked by the Dr but she signed off on it and gave me prescription based off the techs job. Ordered new glasses online and can’t see out of them. I called today to see if I could come back in to have the prescription checked and the girl stated that I have to come in to have the optician check to make sure they fit correctly “because most of the time they are made wrong, ok fine I’ll do that. If the glasses fit then I can go back to have the Dr check the prescription again?? So I have to go back twice because they can’t manage to do that in the same day? My prescription change over 1 point in both eyes yet I was told by the Dr that I had a minute change? Doesn’t seem minute to me. So I basically have to go back twice due to their error. Wouldn’t waste my time. Most of the office staff was friendly ( only reason for 2 stars or I would have given 0) but whoever I talked to today was a real peach. I’ve been wearing corrective lenses for 20 years this ain’t my first rodeo. I know when my prescription is wrong and why would I want to come back in the first place.

She is informative, provides options for everything I may need. She never shows any kind of stress or signs of being hurried. No matter what, she always takes her time to be thorough and answer any and all questions to mine and my husband complete understanding. Her clerical staff always makes sure that all my paperwork and authorizations are in order prior to my visit so I never have to focus on anything but my eye health. Her chairside assistants are patient and knowledgeable as well as providing the highest quality of pre work before Dr. Olivetti arrives in the room.

My mother was seen at BDP Eye Center for an annual appointment. Tests revealed that she was unable to see from her left eye due to blood behind the retina. An appointment was made with a retina specialist who reviewed her case and performed additional tests. Surgery was recommended and scheduled for the following week. The next day we received a call in the morning indicating the surgeon wanted to do the surgery that day!!!! She had already eaten breakfast; we live in Sun City West and the surgery center is in downtown Phoenix; it was around 9:00 am and they wanted us there at 11:30 am. Did not appreciate the confusion with scheduling and unexpected next-day surgery. Satisfied with the surgeon and surgical staff. They were professional, efficient and personable.

Very nice people very nice place the bad side of things Is when I went to get my eyes checked to see if I needed glasses or not one of the nurses was checking my eyes and was going through all the test on my left eye I couldn’t see very well when it came to the test I told her that and her response was “you’ll be fine” so for two weeks I was wearing messed up glasses I was dizzy light headed so I went back to find out my prescription was wrong so got a new prescription again they were to strong I told the doc and she told me you’ll have to adjust and if there still too strong we’ll lower the prescription so now I’m having to go back for the third time to get the right prescription Ps never had glasses in my life so this is very frustrating cause I got a busy work schedule

Barnet Dulaney Eye Center is one of those recommendations.Both my wife and I needed a check up, we were able to get an appointment in less than two weeks. Both of us were very pleased with the service and the treatment we received from everyone in the practice,This was the first time I had to find a new eye doctor in 35 years, I was treated like I had been their patient for the past 35 years. I think I finally passed the test, "is 1 better than 2 is 3 better or is 2 better" because they spent time to repeat if I had questions. I Definitely recommend Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center.

My mother and I had a horrible experience with the Surprise location. One of the staff was completely rude and put off by the fact that my mother needed to utilize one of the two wheel chair accessible rooms. The optometrist assistant stated if I needed one of those rooms we would need to reschedule. However, I had requested one of the two handicap accessible rooms when I checked in an hour prior. We were not able to reschedule. When transferring my mother to the chair she nearly fell. It was a very stressful experience. This incident happened to us more than once. If we hadn't paid for her eye surgery ahead of time we would have gone somewhere else immediately. I would not recommend Barnet and Dulaney due to the long wait times and unfriendly staff. Please consider another option.

Basically donated a couple of hundred $ for nothing..front office no complaints..back office ok.except for the girl with the nose-ring.. bit rude and unpleasant..maybe having a bad day? The main issue however was that after paying for 3-4 office visits and 3 different sets of eye drops. (Process of elimination).. Doctor sent me away telling me to take the second round eye drops that she prescribed ( that didn’t work the first time)..and that she would see me next December.... I had my doubts about continuing with the same doctor after the second visit, but figured I would give her the opportunity to diagnose..Whole experience nothing but a waste of time and money..Will do my homework next time..

I had a full eye exam. When I left the office i forgot to ask for a prescription for new glasses. Called the office to request prescription and was told it would be $45.00. When I asked why I was told my insurance doesn't pay for that. If I do not have to come back for any other exam then they have the information needed to write out the information to obtain glasses. That should not be an extra charge. Is this because I am not purchasing the glasses from them? If I purchased the glasses from them would I have to pay the extra charge. I am thinking NOT. Will go to Costco or Vision Works to get my glasses from now on.

Barnet Dulaney Perkins is a great place to go for eye care. I had a eye condition diagnosed with them and have to say that I am grateful for the helpful services. They are always busy and I would have given them a 5 star how ever their phone system I think needs work. A few month ago their phone system was down and today I tried to pay a bill online however I am missing login info. I tried to call multiple numbers with no help. Was on hold for more than 30 minutes with each number. Finally got through to a person for new patients. She was able to send a message to billing to have someone in billing call me back....Waiting for them to call me......

They have top-of-the-line equipment and make sure that you understand what is going on with your vision health. Even though my situation does not have a treatment plan, this center made sure that all testing that could be done was completed so that the full extent of the damage could be uncovered. In fact, after I completed my evaluation with a doctor of optometry, they made sure that I could be evaluated by the retina specialist on the same day and "fit me in" to the already busy schedule!! Thank you Dr. Fisher, Dr. Horsman and support staff!!

My husband had lasix surgery at Barnet Dilantin in 1999. To this day, he is told that whoever did his surgery did a great job. I recently had bilateral cataract surgery. I found the staff to be well trained. There is adequate education and follow up. All the physicians are great. I particularly like Dr. Perkins and Dr. El Gaslin. I highly recommend the Eye Center.

If I could give zero stars, I would. 2 years ago I needed to have emergency eye surgery for retinal detachment in both of my eyes. I now need to have regular retinal specialist appointments. In July of 2018 I went In for a check up for my eyes. I am required to pay a copay before being seen at the facility which is standard. A couple months later I am billed for a copay that I had thought I had paid for. I call in to billing and they told me that they made an error and accidentally double charged me and that it would be taken care of. They also said it could take a while to be fixed and ignore any more bills that come in. A couple more months pass and I am still receiving bills. I finally call again and they thought that it had been cleared and that they again would fix the situation. Last week I received a letter from a medical debt collector saying that I still owe Barnet the copay. I wrote a letter to the debt collector stating this was an error and I provided my paid receipt and asked for this to please be taken care of because I do not want my credit affected by this. TODAY I call in to Barnet AGAIN and this time I was told that the double billing was not an error and that I had (unknowingly) saw TWO different doctors in the SAME office at the SAME appointment. I was never told I was seeing two doctors and I was never told I'd be double billed and I feel that is WRONG. I asked the billing lady how this could be fixed and she told me to just pay my bill. I will never be returning to this facility, I will never recommend someone to go to this facility.
