My husband Called ahead to get appointment set the document we wished to get notarized was a private payment agreement between two people, asked politely for Notary ID number so we could cross check her credentials on the virginia common wealth site. At this point she got extremely rude and loud. I then said I can just get her first and last name and between all her yelling and such we couldn't make out what the spelling she gave us was. I tried to explain that it was just to make sure we were not paying for someone to come stamp our document and walk away with money just to find out the document doesn't hold up in court. She then hung up on me. All in all she is a notary who denied me the basic rite to cross check her legal legibility using my rite under the freedom of information act just like I can ask an officer for their badge number. My tip to you Tanya is next time just politely say "I do not give out my ID but I will provide you with me First and Last name to do your check and feel more comfortable with my services" hope you learn some basic phone manners out of this.

We needed a notary to help legalize a will today because someone in our family is close to passing or going home as I like to say. The hospital had a hard time getting hold of their notary and then when they did she said no. So we were left in a bind since our loved one cannot leave the hospital. We google notaries and this one popped right up. My momsnlaw called at 5:50 pm and this wonderful lady was in the hospital room with us by 6:25 pm.
