The ladies at the Concord DMV were very helpful and pleasant. They went over and above to help me get the forms I needed and ensured that I didn't have to walk far since I have a walking disability.

Jamie Pendexter

This DMV went above and beyond for me when I was in need of an ID quick. Thank you all for all you do. The girls working that day was very kind and smiling.

I’m military living out of state and when I had mailed in paper work for a duplicate license it was lost in their warehouse. The way the staff handled the process and keeping me updated on the status was amazing. Every time I called (by luck) I was answered by Andrea. She was extremely helpful and In no way lives up to that nightmare stereotype the DMV is known for.

James Elliot

Was on official business unrelated to DMV type

People working the counter/on the phone were very friendly. I was failed on my test for my youth operators license. I believe I was judged pretty harshly. I forgot my blinker while merging (but did my head checks) and didn't stop for a mail truck, but apparently I caused other drivers to "drive evasively." But this comment goes out to the nice lady at the counter that saw me crying and told me to take the test in my home town and tried to calm me down because she was super sweet then and on the phone when I called to schedule. I think I must have gone when it wasn't very busy (1 pm on a Tuesday) but I was served pretty quickly (I did have an appointment tho lol)

Glenn Patterson

Fast and courteous

Mahdi Bagheri

This place is always crowded, no matter when you go there.

Nick G

Its been 5 weeks since I settled on an agreement with the uninsured driver that totaled my vehicles and the DMV has had the check the whole time and has still not even processed it. their system is a total joke. NH really needs to reevaluate how uninsured accidents are handled. For the people that pay for liability on their vehicles we sure get treated way worse than the people that drive uninsured and have zero consequences

Sougata Sen

Friendly staff and very efficient.

Good saffing and service.

No Saturday hours anywhere. Just another crappy service from the state.

First time I went there the waiting time for non-us citizens was 180 minutes and decided to leave. The second time I went right before they open and only waited for 20 minutes. Employees were always really nice and helpful and I could get my license in the same day! Really appreciate it! Ps: I was also offered to take the written exam in Spanish!

There was no line at the motorcycle rider training window. The employee was very helpful and processed everything quickly.

The only good thing about the DMV is we can register our vehicles in our town. Last year we had our vanity plate refused. The plate said MNJEAN. OUr yougest son always kidded his mom about how she made him do his homework. He would call her meanjean. Apparently the PC bureaucrats decided for us what MNJEAN meant. We went South for the Winter a few days later. we got a fine from NH E-zpass for our plate which they said we did not pay the fine. That day we passed through about 4 more e-zpass locations with no problem. I had not changed the plate on line because I anticipated a return of my MNJEAN plate. At any rate the other e-pass stations had no problem-just ours.

The DMV, now strictly a branch of the Dept. of Safety, is a pseudo 'State' organization that is in reality part of a national billion dollar behemoth. Organized with Safety (and therefore the process of identification), the Police, and various Federal organizations, such as Homeland Security, the NSA and the FBI, this is another typical demanding and imperious, truly Federal, entity. Your "driver's licence", as they still call it, is actually first a Federal ID, and a Driver's Licence secondarily. This institution is often manned by young immigrant people, people that just graduated from High School, the lower class, and etc., and so people that the (Federal) State believes that they can so mold and transform to their own Will, with a decent jobs and promotions. They are near impossible to deal with. However, noting that both authority to drive, and identification, is wrapped up into one card, now, it makes it unpleasantly necessary to (at times) go there. I have found that they will conceal their true thoughts and intentions often, without strictly 'lying' - although sometimes doing precisely that - and that therefore one has to be very careful, and circumspect, when dealing with them. Just as with any Federal establishment. Be also cautious about what you give them, about what forms and property they literally get their hands on. I have described DMV, with its parent organization "Safety" almost as hostile, or alien, business syndicate. And so they are. They are not meant for the benefit of the People, but rather, for the identification and control of the people. So take due care and notice when dealing with them.

10 people 1 ladie at the counter, stuff very rude and with attitude, poor costumer service. Total waste of people's time and taxes.

Haber Cornish

KAREN Horn

Great friendly service. Anyone not liking NH DMV TRY California.

Joshua Gaultier

Extremely unprofessional. Got my cdl in mid Dec and have yet to receive it. Called and Dmv said they don't know what happened and now they have to make a new license and send it in the mail.

Michael Sherpa

Extremely nice staff and organized, however wait was too long which is typical of any dmv.

Varun Cherukuri

Extremely poor, when i was calling them they didnot answer properly. They were always trying to avoid the call and passing call one to one like game play. Finally the call goes to voice mail. Worst service

James Rosenberg

Never in NH have I seen this - a wait hours long for simple license renewal, requiring an afternoon absence from work. The packed waiting room reflected the sluggish red tape of a third world country. In a process that makes the state money, responsible staffing of the counter is a simple fix that would both improve the State's ability to make a few bucks and return hard working citizens to work. The simple process is laughably slow and a grotesque reflection on the condition of state government and its fitness to tend to the simplest tasks for its citizens. Sad.

I took the driving test to get my youth operators license. I got a 100 on the test but at the end the instructor failed me without explanation for "coming close to colliding with another motor vehicle". I asked him what he meant but he wouldn't tell me and ran away without any explanation.

I have to admit that I was expecting to have a horrifying trip to the DMV to renew my license from what people say, but I experienced the opposite. I chose the Concord location because it was the closest to me. I arrived at 8:23 a.m. on Friday Oct. 27th & left by 9:10 a.m. When I walked in through the clearly marked entrance, I was able to follow signage to the Customer Service desk where there was a line of maybe 4 people. A staff member approached me with a smile & asked me if I needed any assistance. I told her that I was there to renew my license for the new Real ID & had the necessary paperwork, except she noticed I had not filled out an application for the license. She guided me over to where I could fill one out right near where the line forms. I then returned to the line where I was next. The gentleman at the Customer Service desk was very friendly & efficient. Once I was all set checking in, I was handed a ticket with a letter & number & sent to the waiting area. The waiting area was very clean & there are TV's to keep people somewhat entertained. Once I was called, the girl at the counter was friendly, I believe her name was Alyssa. It was as easy as handing over my paperwork, having a new picture taken (ugh) & payment. After having read other reviews & experiences, I can certainly agree that TIMING IS EVERYTHING! When I walked out after 9, the line was forming almost back to the entrance! If YOU come prepared, it makes the process easier for the staff & helps to speed it up for EVERYONE. They staff at the DMV do as much as they can to make sure people get in & out - it all depends on YOU as the customer how your experience will most likely go.

Laurie Bernier

She was very nice, unfortunately the information was incorrect.

Extremely helpful employees that are prepared to help you. Never had to wait very long being there.

Erin Rauch

It’s a DMV. I can tell they’re trying to run it as efficiently and quickly as possibles. Not much to say about it though. I do like that you get a number and sit rather than standing in line for hours.

We came up from Boston to take our grandson for his written and road test. Every person we dealt with was incredibly pleasant and professional. This is just a great department.

People who complain about the New Hampshire DMV have never had to deal with the DMV in other states. The wait in the lines at the DMV is rarely over 1 hour and that is if you go to the DMV at the peak hours. If you go early in the day you can get in and out. Some people get their license renewed on their lunch break. This is unheard of in a lot of places. The forms are easy to figure out, if you have a brain, and the staff is usually courteous and will help people fill out the forms. In other states you can wait at the DMV for hours and if you fill the form out wrong back to the end of the line you go.

As a out of state dealer calling the NHDMV, I was pleasantly surprised how helpful they were compared to my state's DMV. Ian was courteous and friendly and answered all of my questions in a timely manner.

The worst service ever. I wish dmv was more professional. This is the only DMV I had a horrible experience.

Branch manager Ray is very nice person he has the humon sense and understands your problems with respect.

Pete Surette

Only the registry can screw up moving the line along. After waiting for 90 minutes, They came in and removed the end of the line. How does that make any sense at all? They got in and out. I've been here for 2 hours. Really?

(Translated by Google) Very friendly and professional. All very well organized. Two suggestions for improvement: 1. The theory test for driving license is performed on a touch-screens are not going very well. They are old and have much delay. 2. We were informed that the review was in Spanish of Spain and it is not. There are words and expressions that do not know what they are like sidewalk, moonroof or wheels. Not a criticism, Okay so, but say it is Spanish for Spain because it is not. (Original) Muy amables y profesionales.

I am in the process of getting my license back after being suspended for dwi. Anytime I have called I haven't had to stay on hold more than 5-10 minutes. I have lived in Mass and their DMV is not as easy to deal with plus the fact that Mass DMV fees are 5 times what NH fees are for licensing and reinstatement. So 5 stars and anyone that doesnt like dealing with NH DMV ...move to another state and good luck.

Clean, well organized, streamlined, but of course not without the wait. Overall, one of my best experienced dealing with DMVs across multiple states.

Jessica Emanuel

Waited an hour and a half, paid $25, gave every document possible to get a duplicate car title and somehow my application gets denied.

Brian Schoech

Paid a ticket in February, they never reported it as paid. They’ll be reimbursing a impound fee for sure! Come on, do your job!

Temporarily living out of sate, and trying to get my Real ID sent to another address is like pulling teeth. No willingness to help, and ruder customer service by Denise, who only asked if I could help with anything else after I asked a hard question.

Dear DMV, I NEVER EVER HAD EXTENDED MY "TEMPORARY LICENCE "-- THIS CREDIT SHOULD GO TO CONCORD DMV FOR GIVING ME THIS OPPORTUNITY. HOW FAST THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THIS DMV. I just recently moved to New Hampshire from NC. I had driving license till 2018 sep. Since I moved out of state, I had to change the driving licence to NH. Here my journey started with "NH DMV" and still on. I have applied the driving licence by submitting all the required documents and gave me temporary licence for two months until I get permanent one. I was keep on checking mail for license and but no luck. then I came to the situation anybody will never gone to. I realised that my license to be expired tomorrow. I called DMV and asked for status and they said go to any nearby DMV and extend the "TEMPORARY LICENSE" until you get the permanent one. Then I rushed to dover DMV and there were around 50 people waiting before me. I had to wait almost 3 hours for extending temporary license.Finaly called me and gave my token id. She did not understand scenario because she never had this before. then I explained the whole story from top to bottom. She does not know what do to for this case. She said she has to check with the great Concord DMV before giving it to me.But unfortunalty time was 5:00PM because it will be closed 4:30 PM. She asked me to come tomorrow. "I came to NH for work but here I am tired of getting licencse even though I have all the required documents and following all the rules" "WAITING WAITING WAITING NO RESULT" I REQUEST GOOGLE REVIEW BOARD TO ENABLE POST BUTTON WITHOUT RATING SELECTION. BECAUSE I DO NOT WHAT TO GIVE RATING TO THIS NH DMV"

My mom took her instructor test today. She passed the paper test but failed the driving test. She drove with the Chief of Licensing and he failed her for not doing head checks. She did her headchecks, especially when merging onto 93. He said that she didn't do that. However, he was looking away from her which means that he didn't see her do a headcheck. Should have been paying attention. What an a** hole!
