I brought my own small box 6"x 4"x 2" and asked them to fill it with a hand full packing peanut and they wanted to charge me $8.00. I was disgusted enough to leave immediately and went to the post office instead. These people are delusional.

Nightmare. I had an urgent package which ups majorly messed up. They told me it was to be picked up in store. I contacted them to check if the package was there already since it was supposed to be delivered days ago. The lady on the phone was very rude and condescending. She told me the package wasn't there in the most annoyed way possible. I was not having her so said thank you and I hung up. Later I went in the store to have someone check for me if the package was there yet since it was urgent and while I was giving my tracking number to one of the employees, she came up and said that she had told me they did not have it already. I wanted to check still but she was very pissed and intolerant and kept saying they did not have it and she had already told me on the phone. My mother stepped in and called her rude. She told us our package was in Chantilly and when I asked why she didn't say that over the phone she told me because I hung up on her (which of course I did, she was being awful). We could not reason with her so we just left. As we were leaving she said thank you have a nice day in the most condescending ironic way. It would have taken 10 seconds for the other employee to simply check my tracking number and tell me the package was not there yet but she decided to step in to scold a customer for being worried about an urgent package. It's unbelievable. I don't understand how she is able to keep her job at all. I can safely say I do not plan to order anything that ships through UPS again, specially time sensitive orders. Anything to avoid dealing with employees like her again. Sadly I'll still have to go back on Monday to see if my package is there already, hopefully there will be someone else there that I can file a complaint with. These people need to understand that some customers have packages that they need urgently, it maybe be a medical device or a work tool, and when the package is already delayed you can't be angry at the customer for being concerned about it. I've seen them replying to bad reviews about their service trying to pin it as a "misunderstanding". No. This girl was incredibly rude and should not be working in customer service at all if this is how she treats customers. Trust me, it's not a misunderstanding. The service is absolutely dreadful. I don't want to make assumptions about the other employees but if the girl the other reviewer I saw was the same one that was awful to me today then I can guarantee it was no misunderstanding.

If you are shipping UPS you are better off using the UPS website, *NOT* the UPS Store, to pay for shipping, generation of the address label, etc. (You can then drop off your package at a UPS box or a UPS Store.) The shipping rates here are inflated, and the insurance rates charged are DOUBLE ($2/$100 vs $0.90/$100) what UPS charges with NO value added! I had a quote from UPS for $22. When I went to this UPS store they charged me $39! I asked why the difference and was told "that's what it costs, do you want to send it or not?" Nice attitude! Wouldn't give me an itemized receipt. Found out later that UPS Stores are franchises, and the owners pad their rates for additional profits. Generally disappointing experience. Will never use them again!

This was the most unsatisfactory shipping experience I have ever had. Grossly inaccurate advice regarding shipping method to meet my delivery date, staff did not know basic functions of their own systems, poor communications. I will NEVER use UPS again based on this experience.

I went here recently, I wanted to send out a copy of my diploma for my grandma, since she lives overseas and I wanted to send something meaningful to her. Great customer service, I believe the girl that worked there at the time, Nil I believe, was understanding an helpful with the process, copying, getting info, etc. My grandma got her package in record time, overall great service. This store emanates a plethora of distasteful qualities; however, if only chosen one, I would characterize this store as a ripoff. I DO NOT recommend anyone coming here. After paying over $90 to ship a package within the United States, I realized my naivety in choosing to do business with a store that exudes inexperience and needless victimization of its customers. You will be better off going to the FedEx down the street, USPS, or any other form of shipping.

Totally overcharged. I brought a couple of boxes of computer parts in and the guy said they "arent allowed" to ship it like that, babbling something about insurance. I said OK, so I can wrap them in brown paper right? He inexplicably said no, that wouldn't work. Instead, he placed my items in bubble wrap envelopes and charged me $4 each. Then he proceeded to measure the package sizes from end to end of the still-unfolded envelopes. Pretty sure he charged me to put the boxes inside as well, but I can't be sure because the receipt he gave me only lists the totals. The big stickers they print out that have the breakdown of the individual charges, but when I asked to see them, he said "no, these are mine". WTF? Stay far away from this place. Total rip-off, post office is way cheaper.

Zero defensible process. I have dropped a box for DHL and they have confirmed that it was given to DHL but DHL said there is nothing picked by DHL. The store couldn’t provide any kind of prove that it was given to DHL, no phone log, no request number and even the store cameras were recording nothing. And simply they said to me, there’s nothing we can do as you need to claim from DHL. DHL couldn’t find any single prove to compensate me. I just lost my item with no compensation.

I've checked on the UPS website for 10332 main street Fairfax, va 22030 address for opening hours and they've listed that they are open on Sunday from 10 am. to 4:30 pm. but when I arrived there with my wife and two kids they were closed, in spite of the fact that they've displayed on their glass "extended holiday hours" that showed Sunday opening hours from 10 am. to 4:30 pm. I was there at around 2:15 p.m. but no one was there. I found other customers also facing the same opening hours problem. I don't know how many people drove to that location on that day but while I was standing there were two persons beside myself waiting in vain.

Good rates for making copies for a small business and the owner is very helpful. He will save your forms in PDF so you can email him to have all your copies ready whenever you need them. I have also walked in and had copies made in a very efficient and timely matter by him.

I recently went in to ship a package to one of my friends in college (Virginia Tech) since it is her birthday on Monday. Even though it's the holiday time, and the store was busy, I was able to get great/fast customer service and have my shipment sent on time.

THEY AREN'T OPEN TILL POSTED CLOSING TIME. LOSING BUSINESS. Had an important business item to send, and we along with two other customers waited outside on the Friday before Memorial Day. Holiday hours are posted but the place is locked up 10 minutes before the posted closing time. Losing business because of poor employee judgement!

I've only visited this store for two reasons -- dropping off Amazon returns, and getting documents notarized -- but have had great experiences doing both. Granted, it's pretty hard to mess up accepting something that's been pre-packaged and pre-addressed, but the staff have always been friendly and prompt. And the fact that they have a notary public available pretty much any time of day (it seems that way, at least) is wonderful -- they've saved me considerable hassle on more than one occasion.

I went to this location on a wimb because it was closest to me at the time. Boy am I glad I did! I needed a gift package shipped to Colorado by 20th to be ready for my friend's graduation on the 21st. I didn't think this was possible given the short notice, but the young lady that helped me, I believe her name is Nilüfer? Assured me that she would do everything she could to get the package there on time. She took me through the process and I felt reassured that we might be able to pull it off. Low and behold a couple of days later I got a call from my friend that she had received the package and everything was a success! Thank you again to the young lady for everything I could not be happier with my experience! I will definitely only be coming to this location moving forward!

This is my go to spot for dropping off packages and I come here almost every other week. The owner is always very nice and friendly. The other female associate is always quick and pleasent. Never ran into any issues. Not sure about the negative reviews. Personally I really like this location.

I went in to mail my textbook rentals after work on December 18th. I was talking to one of the associates and found out that we were both college students. She told me which package to pick out [poly file] and quickly put everything together for me and was quite polite. This is my third experience with the associates of this particular UPS, and every time they have been polite. If you're a college student, I would definitely recommend mailing your rentals here [unless you have a UPS on campus, it would save you the trip]; they have always been kind and professional.

UPS dropped my package there on a thursday ,went to pick up on saturday , the lady that was at front desk said my package wasn't , she didn't even attemped to look for it . Made me call 1800 number call them , they said the package is at the store , went back to the store the lady keep saying is not there , once again not even trying to find the package . So went back after christmas day one more time to make sure someone else could help me , ask for the package gave my name , there was the package , been there for almost a week . Not afford at all from this lady to help me . Very disappointed because my son did not get his Christmas gift on time , because someone did not want help me , not even look for the package as she was suppost .

I am a harsher reviewer and I'm honestly trying to figure out how this UPS manage to get anything below a four star rating!? I've never been inside of the store for more than five minutes because that's how fast these guys work. And for anyone complaining about the price versus USPS.... everyone knows how rude USPS can be so I'll take UPS any day

Rude girl (Nell). Dropped off 2 package with a polite young man. He read the info off my phone and made the labels wo making me fill out a form. Then, came back 15 mins later to drop another one. Nell did not greet us when we came in and had a disgusted looking frown on her face. Showed her the info on my phone and she said well you can fill out the form. When I said I didn't need to do it last time she said it's better for new customers. I said I was not a new customer as I had just dropped a package. She said well, in going to keep it for my records and walked away to the back. Never came back and the other young man completed our transaction. She needs some retraining.

Can understand variations in pricing between these boutique shipping stores, but this store is outrageous. Price quoted was twice another UPS store 5 miles away - talking hundreds here. These are individually owned and pricing is not controlled by UPS. UPS delivery man noted that they have HUGE mark ups on delivery charges - one reason they won't let you use your own packing slips/labels. If you HAVE to have it packaged, have a store pack it up, then take it to the post office!

Packing and shipping services are made easy here as well, and they are great at getting the item into the most sensible package possible.
