The man behind the desk took care of business quickly and kindly after USPS hours on a Saturday. The mark-up, at least for USPS first class with tracking (one package, only personal experience) was very reasonable. I think a lot of reviewers are spoiled by Amazon and are expecting free 2-day shipping. Welp, welcome to the other side of the equation, where you have to pay for it without countless billions of dollars of scale and your own distribution facilities. Or factoring in how it is "free" after you pay $120 per year. Have you been to USPS where the only help you get is a kiosk with pre-labeled envelopes/ boxes with big mark ups for anything (read as everything) overweight? Or paid for custom UPS/ FedEx pick-up? I assure you this is a good in-between. Sorry if I sound a bit salty here, but c'mon. You pay a couple extra bucks and they're keeping the doors open and their hours longer for people like me (and probably you) that need it.

The staff is helpful, friendly and process quickly orders quickly. They email you a receipt if you send through UPS. I highly recommend using them to save time rather than heading to the post office.

This place is run by new owners who are crooks! I paid $86 to ship two small boxes that weighed 4.6 lbs and 1.9 lbs. I thought that cost seemed excessive so I called UPS and they told me my cost at the UPS Store would have been $45.92 ($40 less in cost!). The Parcel Plus owner admitted they have a 100% markup on their shipping! Also, I paid for extra insurance on both packages. UPS has no record of the extra insurance. That is because this Parcel Plus says they have their extra insurance through a separate company. I did not receive any type of official UPS receipt for this shipping (like you receive at UPS, and like I used to receive from the former owner of this Parcel Plus)! When I asked for a receipt, I was told I would receive an email with the UPS tracking numbers. He told me to use my phone to take a picture if I needed an immediate receipt. Beware of this Parcel Plus store at Dorsey Hall - they are CROOKS!

I normally read the reviews for any and everything before doing business with them, however I shipped a package here once before and didn't have any issues (other than the package taking longer to arrive at the destination than I was told it would) but today I asked my Mother to ship something for me as she was headed to Giant anyway, huge mistake! She called me when she left and was in shock over the cost to ship a package that absolutely could not have weighed anymore than 10 lbs. She insured the package and when he rang her up the cost to get it from MD to TX was $143.17, my Mother is not a confrontational person so she paid, I however am a lot harder to get over on and will ask questions and speak my mind in a heartbeat. I immediately called and spoke with the man who helped her and he told me that it cost so much because it was being sent across the country and because he sent it via UPS instead of USPS because he doesn't trust the post office and with the recent weather issues in TX he was concerned it wouldn't make it there on time and undamaged. I pay to get insurance on a package for exactly that reason, so you charging double what UPS would have actually charged me does me no favors at all. His response was "trust me it's worth it".. What he is doing should be illegal. I completely understand having to pay a convenience fee but DOUBLE what it would cost is robbery. I am going to go up there and let him know exactly how I feel about what he's doing and I will NEVER do business with them again. If I can prevent someone else from making the same mistake we did, I will. He's a thief, please go to the post office!!!

I have dropped off at this location multiple times. They do not print receipts for drop-off (go to Staples close by if you need one). I don't normally use them to package or ship (usually online returns) since they will charge a significant up-charge. Staff are pleasant. To be fair to the establishment, they charge more to make money (one can dispute if it is too much or not -- it is not a bargain here) and because of the location (which likely costs them a bit more). You have to decide if the service is worth the cost, or is it better to do it yourself and go farther to send the package. Don't go blindly in thinking it is going to be the same price as going directly to UPS, USPS or FEDEX.

If you use them to pack and ship.....BUYER BEWARE!! I had 2 speakers, 40#s each, packed and shipped. I live in Alabama, so I was transacting over the phone on an eBay purchase. Dave told me over the phone it would be about $110 per speaker. He stated that UPS was cheaper than USPS and FedEx. After he packed them, his price went up to $137.53 EACH. That sounded awfully steep to me. So I went online to check the rates. For those box sizes and weight, USPS charged $58.70 EACH, FedEx charged $76.98 EACH, and UPS charged $70.60 EACH. He was charging me $25 each for boxing and labor. Basically, Dave was charging me $50 EACH EXTRA OVER THE PRICE TO SHIP, EVEN AFTER HE CHARGED ME TO BOX EACH SPEAKER!! So I called Dave back and challenged him on his prices, and revealed to him that my son drives by his store every DAY on his way home from work....I had other options! Dave gave me the LIES that the online prices to ship were "wholesale" prices and not available to the public. He said where I live is considered "rural" and UPS charges more than the on-line rate given. I pointed out that he was lying to me. I LIVE 2 BLOCKS FROM THE UPS MAIN DELIVERY/DISTRIBUTION TERMINAL AND HAD SPOKEN TO THEM ON THE PHONE ALSO!!! For added leverage, I told him I would pay him $25 each for his supplies and labor to box, AS AGREED, and have my son come by and pick them up, and drop them off at the post office; they would only charge me $58.70 each to ship! Dave hemmed and hawed, and gave me his sob story HOW HE WOULD NOT MAKE MONEY OFF THE DEAL. SO NOW, HIS NON-NEGOTIABLE PRICES WERE INSTANTLY NEGOTIABLE!!! FOLKS, THEY PAD THEIR PRICES HERE FROM STANDARD RATES TO WHATEVER THEY (DAVE) FEEL LIKE CHARGING YOU!!! COME IN PREPARED WITH SHIPPING RATES THAT UPS/FEDEX/USPS CHARGE BEFORE YOU AGREE ON ANY PRICE!!!!!!! THEY LINE THEIR POCKETS HERE AT YOUR EXPENSE!!! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!

After years of patronage, I attempted to drop off an Amazon package that was being returned tore the shipping label before handing the box over to the owner. I asked if he would tape it, his reply, “I can’t but you can buy tape”. I’ve spent $100’s and 100’s of dollars shipping gifts over the years and buying cute gifts from the shop attached. Never, ever again.

Had the exact same experience that another Man had at Parcel Plus on Dorsey Hall Drive! He even told me to take a picture with my phone also!! Wow! A year later and he's still over charging and ripping off his customers! I will never enter this business again as long as this person is the owner!

My local UPS/FedEx shipping place. Also does stationery, cards, small gifts, etc. Will be more expensive than going directly to FedEx, etc. But this is a full-service shop so that is to be expected. You can leave pre-adressed UPS/FedEx boxes here for pickup without charge.

Very friendly and patient staff.

I dropped off some paperwork to go in a UPS envelope today. I had printed the mailing label off the web from my bank. Man and young girl behind the counter were very nice. They took my paperwork, sealed it in the applicable UPS envelope and I was done in like 30 seconds. I tried to pay them a small handling fee, like other stores nearby charge, but they would not take any payment. So, I thought I'd give them the online review they deserve.

This guy charged MORE THAN TWICE the price, try it out if you don't believe it. And if you only go there to drop off, he will tell you there is no place for drop off , since he can't take advantage of doing you a favor.

Philosopher's Stone

Fantastic customer service, people running the store are friendly, helpful, and will go above and beyond to help you.

Neil Milchak

Tried to charge me $67 for a USPS priority mail pacakage that was in a flat rate box that normally costs $15 to ship.

Chelsey Chen

Way overpriced shipping....and one time I was there to ship something overseas only to found out they charged THREE times more...and not with the same shipping method I requested...worst customer service ever
