The frustration this store has caused me has left me with a distaste for "The UPS Store" chain. Now keep in mind I'm not referring to UPS, just "The UPS Store" chain itself. Unless you are very attentive to detail your package can leave this store in many different forms - UPS or USPS. This is nice for some customers but caused me lots of problems. If your package cost a bunch to ship, they offer you a cheaper rate using USPS. (Keep in mind they put a surcharge on packages for the "connivence" they offer you. You can avoid if you just get UPS to get the package from your house or go straight to the post office - found this out later when the post office informed me only 1/2 of the price I paid to ship it was used for postage - I ended up paying a $46 surcharge on postage!) Ultimately, there is some user error here, but I feel that this chain leaves the possibility for confusion HIGH. If you don't pay CAREFUL attention to the acronyms they are using you will get very lost/confused down the road when you try to track your package - because it will be with a different carrier! MY STORY: I sent a very capable friend into the store to ship a time sensitive important package for me. I left him with specific directions to use a PO box if he ships USPS or my home address if he ships UPS (because of the mailing restricts where I live). He thought he was shipping UPS because he was sending it from this store. Instead it was sent USPS because this was the better shipping rate. Now I understand this is partly his fault, but hence why I'm writing this review to warn any other customers. LISTEN CAREFUL WHAT ACRONYM they use! I was eventually able to contact someone in the print section of the store who helped me sort out this confusion - customer service in this department gets a high rating. They were extremely helpful with that part and apologized for the headache I was about to endure finding my package. Over 3.5 hours later with multiple phone calls and way to long on hold... I was finally able to locate my package and alert the Post Office to (hopefully) deliver it to my PO box and not return to sender. At the moment it isn't due to arrive till 2 weeks past the arrival date the store informed my friend when he shipped it. Let's hope it gets here. Moral of my review - BE VERY CAREFUL AN ATTENTIVE to what you are doing when shipping from this store. Don't let this headache happen to you! (PS - Just go to the post office if you choose to ship USPS)

I love this place and its employees. I sell alot of clothing through a app where the buyers are paying for shipping and choosing who its shipped from. I have to print these labels. It was a bit confusing. The employees here have helped me out SO much.

We over-nighted 4 large lobsters to the Bronx. Our customer service on Western Avenue was delightful, and the package arrived at our family's door one hour early.

This store is not friendly to people with disabilities. My friend went today to retrieve a pkg waiting for her at this location. She also brought her grand daughter with autism along for the trip. The man working in the store never greeted them or asked if he could help. My friend finally said she had a pkg to pick up. While waiting for the pkg her grand daughter wanted to look at the cards in the turn style. She brought her over to see them and watched her every moment. The man said in a loud disdainful and scathing tone, I'd rather she DIDN'T do that. When I called and asked the man about the incident, he told me the grandmother should have gotten a babysitter for the little girl instead of bringing her into the store. I will always take anything I need to send UPS to the 'MAILING CENTER' at the Capitol Shopping Center. If this kind of discrimination bothers you, you too should patronize the Mailing Center NOT UPS on Western Ave.

awful service, rude attitudes! I have dropped stuff here a few times but never again. the last two times the men working were less than helpful. this last time he threw my package in a bin...mind you he had no clue if it was breakable. taking business elsewhere! rude!

This is the only UPS I use in the Augusta, Maine area. The guys who work there could definitely use more personality. Other than that, I trust them with the packaging I bring in. If I have questions they answer them in a friendly manner.

Do not come here to print ANYTHING!! The guy charged me over $2.50 for a single page black and white copy... poor customer service and unreasonable fees to print. Look elsewhere if you need a fair service at a fair price.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Brought a package in that wasn’t mine (delivered to me by UPS) and was told it wasn’t their problem. The guy at the counter refused to help me in any way at all. He made me keep the package that was NOT MINE and refused to give any solutions.. This package was far from my problem, and has now turned into a huge annoying mess. The guy wouldn’t even just simply return to the sender. Don’t waste your time going to this store, they will give you absolutely no help. Call UPS and have them come directly to you before going in this place, you’ll be much less frustrated and be provided with an actual solution.

The website says it opens at 8am on Thursdays. The answering machine says it opens at 8am on Thursdays...but here I am at 8:12am on a Thursday and it is most definitely not open!

I recently have knowledge and personal experience with unfriendly personnel, one of whom was exceedingly disrespectful to a five year old child and her mother. The child has autism and he didn't like the noise she made. When I called as an advocate to get the managers name I was at first only provided a first name and when I requested a last name and when he could be reached I was told the name in a nasty tone and hung up on. This is not a store I want to business in.
