I was recently hired for a remote position and the company that is in another state required that I get an I-9 form completed by a notary. This turned out to be a complicated process because I soon learned that in California, this actually cannot be performed by a notary. I had an apositlle returned to me about 36 hours after I dropped it off at his office (dropped off Wednesday afternoon and had them back before lunch on Friday). The only thing would be better would be if he took credit cards, but other than that, I wish him best of luck of eventually opening up a restaurant.
