They perform some classes to how to become an “Immigration Consultant” and that is a joke. They teach you nothing. First day was so vague that I left the place so frustrated. You need to figure everything out for yourself. What they want is to sell you bond and insurance so you can “fill the forms”. Look for another place if you want to learn how to fill immigration forms. Be advised !

They are very supportive and quick to attend to your needs WHEN BUYING SOMETHING. When you need help tracking your order, they are useless. I was lied to by their customer service rep and was told that my bond was printed and being sent Friday, we are also in California so it should have come by Monday, latest Tuesday. I call to check the status on it Tuesday and some lady named Kathy tells me it was printed and sent out Monday and to compensate me instead of printing the bond overnight offers me a 1 year membership to save money on overnight cost, and assures me the bond would come in by next day since it was regular mail, still nothing! Customer service in sales sucks and they only care about money not taking care of the customer. Today is Thursday and still I have not gotten my mail for my bond. You people are ridiculous in sales and I wish I had gone through another company to get my bond and accessories. I can see why the other bad reviews are frustrated from your lack of service and courtesy National Notary Association.

I've been a member for 10+ years. What I enjoy most are the newsletters, magazines, and other timely, informative updates they make available to members and the general public. I learn so much from this organization. They are relevant, responsive, professional and provide awesome customer service. I am of the opinion that every notary public should be a member.

I placed an order through the NNA website, my order was for a notary journal, insurance and stamp. However, about 2 weeks later from the order date (4/21/2018) I only received the journal and proof of insurance, NO stamp. I called the NNA to ask why I didn't receive my stamp in my order and they said I need to mail in some notary certification....(assuming I should have known that). I said well...okay, if would've known that I would have sent it along time ago...anyways I sent a copy of the certification. I call a week later to confirm if they have received it and they said they haven't and for me to call back next week. Well after calling for the 5th time today (over a month from my order date) they still have not received my certification. I decided to cancel my stamp order and get full refund. After so much run around and losing time/money, I will not order from NNA again.

I have had nothing but positive experiences when dealing with NNA. They are friendly and helpful over the phone and extremely knowledgeable when conducting the review course. The course is set up as a one-stop shop where you have the opportunity to turn in your State application, get your finger prints done and have a photo taken as well as take the exam when it is all over. They are extremely organized and use every minute of the course in the most efficient way. NNA also provides great resources and support for notaries to keep on top of the changes in the law.

HORRIBLE experience. They screwed up on my application, it was rejected by the State, lost in mail and delayed me for 2 + months and counting. State confirmed the vendor (NNA) completed their portion incorrectly. To add insult to injury, they tried to sell me membership every time I called to discuss my application.

Avoid classes from National Notary Association. I and my brother took Notary Renewal class online from National Notary Association and paid $550.00 with Bond and etc., as this is our first renewal class and they offer it online we took that opportunity to go online at took the 3 hours class. we did not know that even after you take 3 hours online class you need to give test at the location where they scheduled a test. there was no information so we called NNA for next scheduled test location and time. we spoke to Jonathan Warriors over the phone, he told us that yes we have only one choice which is Culver City before our Notary expire but there was an issue, we have to do our Barometric in the morning at 7:30 am and they have 6 hours class for new people then we have to do the test which is scheduled at 4:00 pm. I don't understand then what is the benefit to take online class, as per him either we can go twice or we can attend their 6 hours class (we already did 3 hours continue education online). Not only that he send us confirmation email without any address regarding where the class was scheduled and no information about what we need to bring in the test. so we decided to go in the morning at 7:30 am from Norwalk and we reach on time and we try to spoke to the information desk regarding this inconvenient scheduled for online student but did not got any satisfied answer from the information desk they even did not looked at our documents or did not even told us what we need to bring for the test. Any way we reach again at 4:00 pm for the test and now she told us you need to bring check for $40.00 to Secretary of State and need to fill out Notary Application form, we have to rush to the nearest bank to get the cashier check and fill out the form. Totally waste of the day without proper information given to the client. Better to stick with Duan Gomer Class it's convenient and very informative.

I signed up to take one of NNA's courses to renew my notary license. And have to say that the instructors make the 6-hour class pretty fun and interesting. Learning to become a notary can be pretty dull info, but they made it interactive and gave great tips on how to remember important points that was going to be needed to take the exam. They also provided an on-site person that took your photo and live scan in case you were not able to get that done prior to the course. I enjoyed it. Oh and they served coffee and water, which was nice. The sign-up process was easy as well. Online process is very user friendly. The website has so much useful information too and good articles.

I am hard pressed to endorse NNA as a first class professional association- At face you as a member can be offer $10,000 E&O Insurance for $14 when in fact you will realize $30,000 for 14$- The NNA is big fee Association with very little real benefit to the common notary. However , NNA is recognized as the leading Association in America , for many years- why , I do not know , must be a California thing. To be part of your local state Notary Association is plenty otherwise NAA big waist of money !

I thought I chose a good company to order from. Purchased the premium package, the guy that sold it to me was so busy trying to up sale the order that he neglected to mention I need to fax or mail a copy of authorization for my seal over to NNA so it can be produced. I was told specifically that he pulled my information from online and that I did not need to send over any papers. Now with one week left to file my oath and bond NNA has left me in a terrible situation. Buy your bond, equipment and seal in person from an offical dealer much less stress.

I applied for my Notary package in March '17, and was told it would take 4-6 weeks to get my stamp. I called after 5 weeks to follow up, and they said "They forgot to tell me, that they needed more information", and had yet to process my application! I gave them the information THAT WAS ALREADY ON MY APPLICATION, and they said it would take an ADDITIONAL 5-6 weeks to get my stamp! So needless to say, I cancelled my order, and switched to Budget. Received everything within 2.5 weeks.

I needed to cancel my registration within an hour of purchase due to scheduling conflicts at work and I called NNA and explained my situation and asked to cancel my two orders, one for the seminar and one for supplies and finger printing. Honestly it was less than an hour of purchase. I was told that reimbursement will take 10 -20 days. This company is a scam. Be very careful when you use the registration and purchasing system through this website. I am hoping to see the $500 reimbursement in my account. This is probably standard practice so they make you wait so perhaps you'll forget and not follow up on the reimbursement. Complete SCAM!!!

2/18/18 I took the 6 hour notary renewal course this weekend with my boss for my day job (also a renewal) and my boyfriend (his first commission). Having gone through two name changes in the years I've been a notary, I've used the NNA for much more than just my education. They are wonderful for answering questions and also buying your supplies through. The phone staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the online site is easy to navigate. I always recommend NNA to people considering becoming new notaries because I think most of the large businesses I've worked with require the NNA to provide your training if you want to go on to become a signing agent. NNA recently just did my background checks again for the NSA process. Everything looked great! 10/24/12 - Five Stars When I became a California Notary Public two years ago I ordered my initial bond and supplies through NNA. Since then I have changed my name and had to order an amended bond and corrected supplies. Both orders were placed on the phone. Gene helped me today and was very friendly and efficient. I procrastinated and am down to the last few days to get this bond in my hands to that I can reswear my Oath for the County Clerk. He rushed the order and explained everything to me very clearly. I have used the NNA website to answer questions many times. I feel its easier to call and speak with representatives when i can't find the answer, and they always seem happy to talk to me and help. NNA has a well-maintained Facebook page, and they also send an informative newsletter monthly. Last month (or the one before?) I learned about how Facebook can be used as evidence (as can any social networking site - like Yelp*) :) So I think their information is very applicable to current situations. Great company, professional employees, fast service, 'nuff said.

If you don't care when you get your notary and also don't care that you don't get what you pay for than go ahead and use NNA. If you expect to get what you pay for in the timeframe they say the product will be sent out definitely go elsewhere. I used them to get my PA notary and wasn't a good experience. Thought maybe it was a one time issue so used them again for my WV notary. Again, was a horrible experience.

It is scary that I pretty much have to get my background check every year from them only. I have found out that their attorneys file lawsuits against any organization that provides the same services. The have formed a monopoly and I have had them charge me multiple times online for my renewal last year due to a glitch. After 20 years of being a notary they control too much with training, etc forcing out any competition and should be investigated!

Charges $30 more than other Florida Notary services for the same thing including $7500 bond, seal, certificate and sate registration fee. I use Florida Notary Service which charges only $95 versus the $126 NNA charges. I've been using the other service for everyone in the office.
