We have been in Wisconsin Dells for a week and this was the best place we went to eat! We got the cheese pizza, pepperoni and sausage pizza, the cheese bread, fries and the burger. It was all fantastic and the worker was super friendly and down to earth. Next time we are back in the area we will be back for more. Even my two super picky kids ate!

Great pizza love the sauce. Yelp offer free basket of fries. Casual dining bar feel but kid friendly. Only complaint was that my red wine was served chilled not room temperature. Weird.

Awesome location, you can eat in the shade of the trees with the sound of water right next to you. The dam isn't too attractive, but the eating area is nice and clean. Great food too, for a good value, but a little pricey for a high school kid like me :p average prices~ $18

Fight the flies for your food, the fruit flies for the alcohol, and the bartender for your $. Noticed the bartender keeping receipts in the tip jar?? Took the extra receipt with us just to see what happened. Came chasing us down in the parking lot to tell us he over charged. Never again. Seen the rating and gave it a chance. As a local resident....never again. Keep an eye on your $.

Great local bar and restaurant. Fiod was delicious and home made chips are fabulous! Staff is friendly, bartender was very knowledgeable about whiskey, gin, vodkas, etc.... Other patrons were friendly and the result was a great evening for a traveler many miles from home. Will stop again the next time I'm in the area!

So I'm only reviewing it for this one order and my one experience with them I might stop by next year and give it another chance. 1 star cause I ordered fried pickles and asked how big is 1 order she said "oh it's big enough for you three" I had 2 teens with me so figured ok let me get two orders cause is 12 am and were hungry but that's all we wanted I didn't want to wait half hour to 45 minutes for pizza. I Paid for 2 orders waited almost half hour?? Then went to room opened box and it looked like half an order. Not exaggerating and very disappointed but they were only thing open that late.

Waited over 40 minutes for our appetizer, and every time we asked, we were told 'it will be right out'. The pizza was another 20 minutes later. No appologies, no excuses, no discount. It was a Wednesday night and it wasn't very busy. When we finally did get the food, it was good.

Do not judge a book by its cover. While the building may not impress, the food is the best in the dells. My wife and I here for a long weekend and after reading a few google reviews we decided to try it. We ate all over town for 3 days and this was by far the best. We had the white owl pizza and the spinach salad; awesome. The irish folk singer also made it a great touch.

Stopped in for a late dinner with the family. So glad other places were not serving anymore. The food was excellent, and so was the service. Amazing considering our waitress was also bar tending, and the cook for the evening, since the chef was out. Very impressive! Will definitely go again.

Never rated anything 1 star before but this was hilariously bad. The black bean burger I had instantly deteriorated into a pile of mess. I thought maybe I'd eat it with a fork but it was literally just black beans, most of them whole, some maybe mashed with a fork. No spices, no flavor, just beans. On a bun. Also the guacamole was brown. I've also never asked to not pay for what I ordered but I thought I'd try since my server was giving their buddies free drinks. Was denied on the basis that it's crumbly because the patties are "hand made" and it tastes only like black beans because "well, it is a black bean burger." The best I got was 10% off the bill despite that being a coupon on their website. I was told "unless the patty was cold, he had no reason to give me this for free." Like whaaat. If it was cold, that's bad enough to give me a refund, but if it's structurally inedible, that's how it's supposed to be? The food in the pic (if I can post it) is how it was after I picked up the burger and tried to take a bite and is otherwise untampered. If the cook followed the recipe earnestly, please take this off the menu.

My wife and 2 kids ate here. We ordered the biggest pizza they had. It was so good we ordered another one and ate that one too. We were there for lunch and no one was really there so the bar tender was experimenting with drinks and she gave us some for free. This is the best pizza place in the Dells and one of the best I've ever had. I live in Chicago so that's saying a lot. My 7 year old can't wait to go back in August!

Nothing my wife or I would rant or rave about, but for the price, it was a good value. + Wait staff were helpful, nice, and concerned that we enjoyed our meal. - It's definitely got that dive atmosphere. The washrooms, honestly, were disgusting. I'm not sure if the grungy feel is on purpose, though, so, your mileage may vary. Overall, it was okay. This is based on one experience, and we didn't really get the food most people review highly. We ordered sandwiches, but they're apparently known for their pizza. The cheese curds were great, though.

Great food, very healthy and well prepared. The vegan cheesecake is honestly better then normal cheesecake. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is comfortable, but the two person seating is in a sort of hallway which can feel a little awkward to some people. Staff is polite, but I wouldn't describe them as friendly.

Cool local dive bar place. Cheap drinks. Expect to wait a long time for your food. 45 -60 minutes for a large pizza and nachos. Suggestion call about two hours ahead of yhe time when you expect to eat.

My family had decided to go out to dinner here this past weekend for my father in law's birthday since we were spending it in the Dells. We ordered 2 pizzas. One White Owl and one sausage and onion. The waitress couldn't get the order correct. We repeated it to her numerous times. She even came back after the cook requested her to double check. After 30 minutes of waiting we received one pizza. We asked where our other pizza was and she didn't seem to understand that we ordered 2. We had to wait another 20 mins for a pizza after the other was eaten by those who wanted it. Once we got the bill we had been charged for extra sausage and onion on the White Owl when 1) it already comes on it 2) we wanted those toppings on a completely separate pizza. We told her the bill was incorrect and gave her a coupon we found in out hotel pamphlet. Once again the bill still was wrong. Definitely won't be returning customers.

Food and beer is very reasonably priced, especially for the dells. The fries are made in house and my favorite. Think 5 guys fries...but better! Huge drink selection, quiet atmosphere. A great place to start your night, and finish it out.

Worst experience dining in ever. Do not eat here. The service was slow and unfriendly and we waited almost an hour for some burgers and fries. The food came out cold and greasy. The bun was hard and it appeared that the cheese was actually microwaved onto the burger. It was so repulsive. The fries were dark and greasy and cold. The chips were soggy and nasty. The bathrooms are gross and smell bad. I would have given 0 stars but 1 was the lowest I could pick.

My wife and I went here on a whim since it was so close to our hotel and also because it looked interesting. Let me say the service was great and the food was AMAZING! Do not let the small size of the menu turn you off. My wife had the 1/2 lb Owl cheeseburger well done and it was still flavorful and juicy. The hand-cut shoestring fries were great! All the toppings for her burger were fresh. I had the fish fry (it being Friday and all) and wow! Best fish fry I have had! The batter was great and the fish was flakey and falling apart. Even the coleslaw was great! And a great price too. We also had an appetizer (cheese bread--You gotta try it! So good) as well as 2 sodas and a dessert for less than $40. I will be going here again the next time I am in the Dells.

My boyfriend went in for one last beer before going to our hotel. The service was ok until I seen the bartender give 2 shots of tequila to 2 girls sitting at the bar. He walked in the back, came back out, and handed them limes out of the palm of his hand after just touching our money. I would be ok if he handed it to them on a bar napkin. The place wasnt the cleanest and the environment of people looked at us with disgust when we walked in. I'm all for a local bar but treat customers as customers. Will not be back.

Incredible food! This is easily our favorite restaurant in the WI Dells area! We were a little nervous when we first pulled up and then went inside. It looks like your typical side of the road Wisconsin bar frankly. But we sat outside under the trees which was great. The best part though was the food! We all LOVED it! I had the Chicken Caprice sandwich, on homemade focacia bread, SO good! Our friends' pizzas were amazing too! We will go here every time we're in the area for sure!

Best pizza around!! Drink specials are amazing and they have $5 bloody Mary's on sundays. Great place if you're looking for a "whole in the wall" kinda place. Eight along the main drag in Baraboo by the dells.

Their fries were cold and soggy. Their chicken was tough. The service was slow. We will never go back there. Stay away from any sandwiches. Maybe just stick with the pizza? I guess the spinach artichoke dip was okay to. Ugh! Still a terrible place to eat. Stay away.

Came here bc me and my friend were able to get a much needed night out after the kids crashed in the hotel, only to walk into a bar that smells like sewage. I'm pretty sure the bartender is drunk bc she is laying on a barstool, I actually am not sure who the actual bartender is bc there has been 3 different people behind the bar making drinks but the person that made ours is 100% drinking behind the bar.

Great little dive bar close to Wisconsin Dells! The food is excellent! Some of the best pizza I've ever had. There is a separate dining area from the bar. I gave fours as the building could use some updating and the parking lot wasn't the best. I would go back for the food.

Service was not the greatest. We had to wait for a table to get cleaned off when there wwre not rhat many people in the restaurant. Once seated, initial service was quick, but we received the wrong drinks. Pizza and salad...took for ever for the salad to arrive. While waiting, 3 seperate couples came in, sat, and left due to the lack of service. One stop of the waitstaff/bartender prior to the salad delivery...she said she was the only waitstaff working other than who we perceived as the cook, who originally waited on us. There were not that many people at the bar, and she seemed to be concentrating her efforts with a small group at one end...friends...which took up her time. Once the pizza arrived, she almost seemed over helpful, but at least we were receiving some attention. Overall, the atmosphere was aweful. Even with sparse accomodations that felt like an old bar and with terrible service and music that did not fit the crowd...rap hip hop, I thought the pizza was worth the wait.

Usually a great place for pizza in the past but this visit was different. Both bathrooms garbage's were over flowing, the women's bathroom stalls were out of toilet paper and there was an opened condom box on top of the garbage heap in the women's bathroom. The men's bathroom was extremely cold, must not have a heat vent in it. One of the workers had his dog running around the room while we were eating. If you like taco pizza, like we do, DO NOT EAT IT HERE, weird combination of lettuce, beans, corn and some kind of vinagarette dressing. It reminded me more of an Italian salad than a taco pizza. Our other pizza was good. I doubt we will go back due to the lack of cleanliness.

Ok, so we read the reviews and went here with an open mind with or two younger children...i have to say, that we almost blew it and left before even entering because the outside looked questionable....i will tell you that if you do not get out of your car and walk in...you will be missing out! The service was amazing! The woman who was serving us was so friendly and sweet. We had read great things about the pizza so we decided to try it....BEST PIZZA EVER! Everything is fresh and made from scratch! The sauce, crust, toppings and especially the fresh mozzarella cheese was amazing...i don't think our family has ever had a pizza worth fresh mozzarella on it before...makes all other pizzas seem fake :) I can't say enough about this place...i wish i lived here so that i could come more often...make sure you stop here.

Just off hwy 12, this little gem is easily accessible to anyone in the area, even those not familiar with the dells area. For those who don't want to venture out, they deliver also. The food was exceptionally good. Pizza was homemade and delicious, they have usual assortment of toppings. They also have sandwiches and appetizers, all of which were delicious. I'm not going to lie it's basically an overglorified bar, so they a pool table and darts boards. But there is a separate dining area if you don't want to sit at the . They have a large assortment of TVs for sports, and a nice bar with spotted cow on tap. Service was great, the place was clean. I would definitely recommend trying them out.

We decided to try after seeing their ad "hands down best pizza in town" they could not be more wrong in my opinion. For thin crust, the flavor was okay I guess but I am pretty sure the pizza boxes weighed more than the pizza. We ordered 2 larges and 2 cheese breads which cost us $40 after using a 10% off coupon. One pizza was so burnt we could not eat it and the cheese breads were enough to feed one person each. After a long day at the waterpark we were starving, let's just say after eating this we had to call another pizza place and have them deliver us more.

After reading the reviews and seeing the pictures of the establishment online we thought we would give the Green Owl a try. First thing that confused me when I walked in was the interior, it didn't look like the photos online. After looking closer I realized that pictures that come up first on Google were from 2014. This bar has aged and could use a refresher, boxes are piled in the old waitress station, extension cords hang from the ceiling, the mirrors on the walls were filthy and the paint was just dirty. That said, the gentleman who was working the bar and serving tables was excellent. I was impressed he handled multiple tables, was very friendly and still had time to manage the bar. This bandana wearing man was the high point of our visit. As for the food, it was okay could have been better, the cheese curds were standard fair so when my dining partner said Culver's were better I couldn't disagree. We also ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a pizza. When our food arrived we could tell what happen from our experience in the food service industry. Someone made the sandwich before the pizza was done and it sat. The bun was soaked through making it a mess, the pork and fries were lukewarm at best. If this same sandwich was served fresh and hot it's a 4 out of 5 stars, today it was a 3. Same goes for the fries when served just warm they were still good hot they would have been great. On to the pizza, The good: the sausage was good, the crust was crispy through out and the sauce was excellent. The bad: the cheese was the only miss for me, it just seemed off, kind of tough and chewy but still acceptable for bar food. I think the term lukewarm best describes our visit to the Green Owl.

Pizza is nothing special. Place seems full of meth heads that probably live in the abandoned hotel next door. Everything was dirty from the bar to the bathrooms. Not a place for family’s.

We were looking for great pizza at a great location instead of a chain joint. We read some reviews and gave it a shot. The green owl pizza was fantastic as well as the cheese bread. The peanut butter cheesecake was unbelievable. Definitely would go back!

I called to order pizza. Once I got to paying process, the woman said “let me call you back”. It’s now been an hour and I have not received a call back. Also, when I try to call them, no one answers and it says that voicemail has not been set up. Not impressed! Wondering where my dinner is!

Great place! It was a very quiet so we were a bit hesitant to go in, but were really glad we did. The white owl pizza was so good that the kids liked it despite the fact that it had spinach on it! We also got a plain cheese pizza quick was also very good. Also, rumors are true about the pb cheesecake. Save room for it!
