Great bar in the heart of downtown with pool, darts, and pinball. Great alcohol selection with rotating beer taps. Nice, private outdoor space to have a drink and smoke, if you choose to. My only complaint is that it's getting a little more dirty the longer it's there. Not really keeping up on cleaning and maintenance quite as well as they have in the past. Still not terrible, but something noteworthy coming from someone who frequents the bar. Overall, a great spot to have a drink.

Located in the heart of downtown Huntington. Full service bar with a full selection of beer, wine and liquor. Two dart boards, pool table, pinball machine plus various other arcade games. A great out door patio. Friendly knowledgeable bar staff

My friends and i went in to play pool, we were there quite a while until 1 of my friends had stepped up to the bar for a drink and the manager had come out and informed my friend that if he didnt have any ID that he needed to leave. Mind u, i hadnt been asked for ID nor noticed anyone else being asked for ID at the bar. I believe my friend was simply asked to leave by the manager on duty because he was a dark man...The manager has shown himself to be predjudice, a real shame. I will never return to this establishment...

It needs a lighted sign out front to see at night. However, the bartenders are quick and very attentive. Mr. Harrison the owner was just a great personality and is a great part of the atmosphere. I would love to see them add a food menu.

The Lantern is an alright place but it could have a better setup and seating where the pool table is located, cause you have no where to set when league players are in there trying to play. And the drink selection could be better and add Pepsi products.

The Lantern is on par with the other dime a dozen bars in Huntington, WV. In all reality, you can't ask for much from this town, because it surely won't deliver. Visited late on a Sunday, which I know is not prime drinking time, but the bar smelled vaguely of urine and just was not appealing. Experience was only ok, but on a Sunday night in Huntington, it may be your best bet.

I quit going to this bar because of some of the the crowd it was attracting the cleanliness had been not so great. I went on st pattys day and saw the crowd was a lot better and even though it was wall to wall packed, the place seemed clean and was comfotable.
