1 piece of toast, 2 strips of bacon and dry eggs for a $10 breakfast probably does not rate even a to store but I'm being kind. In addition this was an all-day event just to get breakfast for a party of eight. And they still didn't get it right we ate it anyway cuz we were starved

A very nice place to throw back a few and have an excellent meal. I was there around 5:00 on a Thursday evening. Wasn't very crowded but much more so by the time I left. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. I had the ribeye one it was perfect.

Decent dark bar/ reataurant located in a hotel whose name I can't remember. Food is pretty good for being in basically nowhere west virginia. Has live music through out the month and some bands are actually really good.

We found this place by pure luck. From the outside you would never know the quality of food inside. It just looks like a brick hotel building when you drive up. The restaurant is actually inside on the first floor. Once inside, the happy times begin. Our waitress Marissa was a delight and was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Make sure you get the Stinky Fries for an appetizer. You will thank me. My son and I had the Lasagna Bolognese which was fantastic. My wife had the Chicken Parm and she loved it. For dessert we all had something different. I had the Pecan Sticky Bun and they kindly added a scoop of ice cream on the side for me. I HIGHLY recommend this place and have every intention of returning there the next time we visit Buchannon. For point of reference, our three meals including drinks, appetizer and desserts was just over $70. Very affordable, if you ask me.

The food is good & the restaurant is lovely, the regulars ruin it. When my friends showed up to play a gig there, they were immediately subjected to a racial epethet from one such regular. One of them had never been to Buckhannon prior to that night. He was enamored with our lovely town, he will never return specifically due to the people who make the music venue oppressive, abjectly boring and very uncomfortable. If you're just looking for a quick meal, it is a nice (though overpriced) place. If you're interested in seeing a band or playing a show, look elsewhere.

Came here for dinner on Tuesday night with the family. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that Tuesdays are "Kids Eat Free Night"! We were greeted in a timely fashion and were asked if we wanted to sit in the dining room or the lounge section, we chose the lounge section. My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine, very tasty. I ordered the flatiron steak with vegetable medley and smashed potatoes which was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My wife ordered the Salmon, she loved the salmon and I tried it and loved it too! My children both enjoyed their meals as well, mac & cheese and chicken fingers were their orders. We had the Specialty dessert, the Amish pie, very good! The atmosphere is warm and more upscale but nothing too fancy. The food and service were great and we now know our favorite and the best restaurant in Buckhannon!

Had my wedding reception here, after having issues with another venue in buckhannon. It was our best decision to switch and have it at the 88. They also catered the reception. Food was awesome, service was wonderful. Could not have asked for better service from the start to the finish. I would recommend this place over any other buckhannon venue, restaurant, the staffing was beyond excellent!!

The food is priced higher than one would expect for the food you're getting. It's good food, but a salad shouldn't be $12. That is the only thing that drives me away and prevents me from coming more often. I understand that the environment desires to be upscale, but it’s still the same salad that I can make from home. I don’t mean for that to offend anyone, as I know there are chefs that work hard, I mean to say that the food is just overpriced.

I ordered my wedding cake from here it was awful I emailed a picture if what I wanted and it was nothing it was plain no design unlike my picture we ordered raspberry filling the paper she had said chocolate mousse which was incorrect and back neither one was on the cake I was very upset will never prefer a cake from here again it was lopsided had cracks in it argued with me about fixibg it they eventually fixed it to look presentable

Ordered carry out chicken Caesar salad with the dressing on the side. It took 35 minutes and the dressing was not on the side. Also, they used iceberg lettuce instead of romaine. The price was $1 more than advertised on their websites menu. There are much better places to get a salad in Buckhannon. I will not be coming back.

Very nice to, unassuming restaurant. I loved the decor inside and the easy feel of the atmosphere. The food tasted homemade and the portions were generous. The waitstaff was friendly, but not overbearing. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Stayed at the Bicentennial Hotel and dined here every night of my stay. The food is delicious, waitstaff was attentive and the prices are extremely reasonable. I would definitely eat here again if I'm back in Buckhannon working.

Went here for dinner one night while in town for work. It wasn’t busy, but it was a week night. We were seated immediately and to let our drink order. Waitress was friendly. The food was delicious and the thing that go me was that it was great portion sizes. They don’t load your plate up. The stinky fries were awesome.

Worst dining experience to date. Went there on Saturday evening.Waited for an 50 minutes for the wait staff to bring us a menu and take a drink order. Coffee was cold. We placed our order and after a 45 minute wait our food arrived. I ordered the grilled chicken, broccoli and "smashed potato...my chicken breast was very small, one hugh broccoli spear on the plate. After trying to cut into the dry chicken breast, I discover my dinner was cold...the meal was not edible. So disappointing! I sent back my meal and they took it off the bill. They compensated with a slice of cheese cake that I must say was one of the best I have ever tasted! My companions dinners were fair at best. Would not recommend.

I ordered the salmon because my mom had raved about it, but they were out. This was a Thursday night at 9. I ordered the largest steak so i could have leftovers. The steak was cooked as i ordered, rare but warm in the middle, but I expected a better cut for the price. It should have melted in my mouth for almost $30. That said, the broccoli was perfect, not mushy at all, and the zucchini and yellow squash sauted with onion was excellent. My husband's crab cakes were so full of crabmeat that he actually said so, unusual for him. Small things like no salt and pepper on the table and an empty keg of a local draft beer we really wanted to try, in addition to the unavailability of the salmon made a negative impression. Also, the place was almost empty yet we were seated right next to the only other occupied table, under a very loud speaker. I did not get the impression that the waiter was pleased with our arrival either. All said, i would go back, but lower my expectations.
