Fun bar on the Hilltop. There is a free jukebox, interesting art and decorations, and the taco Tuesday menu was delicious. Their menu has a lot of steak and meaty options with a few vegetarian and vegan options as well. Free condoms available at the door project a progressive culture.

This place is a diamond in the rough.. If you stumble upon it, you will not be disappointed. Very good vibe, astrology theme, you cook your own food?!!! What? We were surprised as all get out, but enjoyed it immensely. The owner and staff are top notch. Very friendly, in fact I can't recall the last time the owner of an establishment not only introduced themselves but held a conversation with patrons. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

This is a very unique place with a great, if dark, atmosphere. The fact that you have to grill your own food may be off-putting for some but it definitely lends itself to meeting others. Worth your time if you're adventurous and out with friends. Grab a bowl or two!

I have been frequently visiting this restaurant but NO MORE ! The waitress AMBER has targeted my group of minority friends and even has had one of us banned from here simply for wanting to speak with management. Her customer service was horrible and she was awfully rude. Furthermore, I believe the overwhelming melanin is what made her uncomfortable as we were labeled as "threatening". I have never been so offended and hope this is taken seriously. Hilltop is a community of minorities and these businesses are whitewashing the hell out of it while offering less than standard service to people of color.

Had we been talking about the old location: 5 stars, easy! I have missed Zodiac so much but my experience tonight has been less than stellar. Service has been really lacking and it's been confusing to figure out why. I still love ZSC and will be back again, but I hope I get better service next time.

Completely mind blowing restaurant. A place like you've never been to. And you meet people while you cook yummy steaks. It's awesome for the ravenous people out there. Strong drinks as well. Cool jukebox selection as well. Love this place.

Great food/experience. They cook the tacos for you on Taco Tuesdays (Beef tacos are spicy. Chicken is milder.), and they are huge tacos. If you order burgers/steak/sausage, you cook it yourself on their grill.

Fun, super hip little dive bar, right in the heart of Hill Top. The menu is small, but the food is good- depending on how well you make it! Customers cook their own steaks, hamburgers and links on a communal grill. Lots of fun for couples or groups. Tiki inspired drinks add to the cool vibe this place has going for it. Love the old school/Trader Vic inspired "scorpion bowl" Zombie, served as a flaming volcano.

A hipster / gothy feel. It's dark, but has plenty of nuanced personality and the crowd is pretty diverse. Service was friendly and prompt. And, there's an open grill which seemed pretty interesting. My only complaint is the chairs with wheels. Because of the uneven surface, which is concrete floor, you always seem to be rolling in some direction. It can be quite annoying. So, get a booth or use the bar stools. I hear the food is great, but I didn't have a chance to try it. Maybe next time. Service - 4 Price - 3 Comfort - 3 Personality - 4

This place will only be as good as employees allow it to be. I have been here on 2 occassions. The first my husband I were greeted warmly served quickly, drinks refilled promptly and were given our side of mashed potatoes after we finished grilling our food. The second time we went we took friends the 2 wait staff delivered 100% opposite service. My husband took it upon himself to be in charge of refills more then once and encountered the bar tender busy on his phone and made him wait till he was done. We were outside when all of our food arrived for grilling and the best we could get was that warm dish of mashed potatoes reheated despited them sitting on the table while 3 burgers and steak needed to be cooked, it was definitely our fault for ordering food that needed to be cooked and food that was already made at the same time.

The idea of this place is cool. They serve you raw meat and you cook it on the grill yourself, but they dont advertise that well. My partner took 3 bites of raw sausage before asking the waiter to put it on the grill, which is when he told us that you cook it yourself. This is written pretty small on the bottom of the menu. Also, I was drinking non-alcoholic drinks, but was served alcohol (by mistake, I'm sure). When I asked for a new drink the waiter gave me attitude about me mentioning there was alcohol in it.

2 stars because the staff was nice enough. But tried ordering 4 items at 8:00 p.m. on a Friday and they were out of 3 of them. These were main course items! Btw. They close at 2 a.m. Update: to the owner. Let me suggest that in the future when this happens, it would have been expected to comp the 2 beers on our tab in this case at least. My review would likely be more amicable if this was to have happened. When a person comes in for dinner date with someone whom you gave high praise of your establishment but there was nothing to eat, it makes it hard to convince the person to come back unless you feel taken care of. Just an fyi for future reference.

It’s not that often I get excited about a place to eat. I had the most enjoyable time last night. From the moment we entered the building the whole vibe was super laid back. Everybody looked at me like, “welcome to our little secret watering hole”. I’m not sure if the DJ , a really cute young lady dropping vinyl from the 70’s and 80’s does that every night. But the music, for me at least, just added to the magical experience. The waitress and bar tenders were almost too nice. Like they were on some magical religious experience and it was just a matter of time before I got the spirit too. I ordered the biggest steak they had. A 26 oz bone in rib eye. They bring the meat and bread to you on two plates. You discard the top plate after YOU lay your beef on a communal hot grill. YES! You cook your own steak. It was for me a Nirvana experience. My steak was perfect because I cooked it myself. Gawd I can’t wait to go back! The salad and side dishes were so good. I gotta tell ya, Don’t miss this experience. I don’t think they allow kids,as it is a bar. But you and your girl are going to have a great time.
