Sounds quality was great during the concert. I skipped getting a beer at the $13 price point though.
The food and staff were amazing. Saw Kindo play in the Cambridge Room and had a great time. The only reason they get 4 stars and not 5 is because they have contracted out their valet services to an incompetent company that decided to drive my car to the W Hotel and leave it there instead of following the new rules and leaving the keys with the House of Blues. Having to walk three blocks down a poorly lit street at one in the morning is not my idea of a great time. If you decide to go to the House of Blues, and I recommend you do, either don't valet or don't stick around too long after the concert.
Loved performing here. The juicy Lucy burger is the bomb! Great staff and very helpful and knowledgeable security, sound techs and bar staff. Can't wait to play here again.
Great concert venue. I wished VIP was situated better and not have people in GA struggle to see over heads.
Had a fabulous time. Great Puddle of Mudd concert. Hell yeah
I have seen multiple acts here and I always enjoy myself. The staff is Pleasant and the drink prices, while not inexpensive, are not as expensive as some other music venues. The stage is great and viewing is always good whether you are seated in the balcony or standing on the floor. I have also never witnessed a show with bad sound. The techs that they have working do an excellent job on Lighting and Sound.
Place is perfect for small shows and very clean for the most part.
Saw Jamey Johnson there last night for the 2nd time!! The show was awesome!!! What a great venue to see live music!! And Jamey Johnson never disappoints!! He is so true with his music! Thanks House of Blues for a wonderful evening!!
I love this venue, but no where on the website does it say food and drink are prohibited. I was asked to throw away unopened snacks and water bottles before ever entering the venue. I don’t mind abiding by no food/drink policies, but the website needs to be updated to reflect this policy so more people are not disappointed and do not lose money on food and drinks.
Great venue with a great atmosphere. Saw a show there and was able to get drinks fast that’s a thumbs up for me.
I always have a good time here. My husband and I really enjoy it. Had to rate it!
This place is beautiful, I love going to concerts here! Always a good view.
It was our first time there, we had dinner and the concert was great. I do recommend to pay the $15.00 each and get a sit in the balcony. We had a wonderful time!
Great venue downtown Dallas. Drink prices are dumb. $10 for a Pabst? Great bands. Tasty food.
Came here to see Bone Thugs N Harmony concert. Nice set up and easy to get too walking distance to other places too.
Came here to see Chase Atlantic about a week ago and it was nice!! It was quite cold but since I was there for a concert I warmed up quickly. I ordered fries for $4 and they gave me a massive serving which I was happy about. They were delicious as well. Amazing sound system. I have no complaints. I can't wait to go back for another concert here.
Great sound system. You can be in front of the stage and the sound is amazing. Never any lines at the bars even with a full house. Johnny Lang was so amazing.
Been here before for Crush, a Korean R&B artist. Did VIP and it was amazing. Went this time for In This Moment and I had general admission. It was also amazing! Drinks are of course expensive but what venue isn't? And I've seen worse than 11 to 13 for cocktails and domestic tall boys. Definitely reccomend!
Bartender was white and racist because I was with a black man. Skipped is at the bar several times!!! First and last time going! Me and my husband are in the medical field and do well for ourselves. So to judge by color was his mistake! We are very generous tippers but I didnt leave him a penny! Its 2019! Grow up!
This venue never disappoints me always very organized and put together. Bartenders were efficient as well as the floor staff. Some one walked us all the way to our seats.
This is a beautiful venue for the arts community. The decorations are very artsy and the vibe of the place is hippie/boho They have a big stage and they also have a restaurant. It's located in downtown Dallas, and they have a valet parking service.
The most nicest crowd comfortable atmosphere safe and great workers ready to help you ! I will be back! The food although pricey taste delicious!!
This place is one of the best concert venues I've ever been to!
Went to see the Pink Floyd tribute band, they were damn good. Took my wife and my 28 year old daughter. We had a good time and the staff was very friendly. Didn't know there was a restaurant attached, wife and I will go back to try that.
Cool venue. Drinks are overpriced, as expected I guess, but they are really, really overpriced here. Wine, beer, liquor all same price...no matter the flavor, so you may as well order whatever you like best. Stage is a bit hard too see if its super crowded. They do pull in some good talent though.
The staff was very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. We were personally lead the balcony that had a much better view of the stage due to the bottom pit being packed for the show. Plus there was even a staff member that tapped on my shoulder to tell me some guests had left and there were open barstools so I didn't have to stand the whole time. This was my second visit to House of Blues Dallas and I have absolutely no complaints and plan to go back next moth for another concert.
Went there last night to see In This Moment. The show was FANTASTIC and the energy was our of this world. Tomas was our bartender and he was fast, friendly, and knew how to mix a cocktail. We were up in the balcony and the view was fabulous! It was a long show, and the place was packed, but the staff really showed that they knew how to manage a crowd. They were instantly on top of any issue that might have popped up. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! It's my new favorite venue in Dallas.
Just amazing! Love the intimacy of the venue and all the staff are truly kind and wonderful; especially, Jerry in the bar, Grant, and of course Joe P. the GM. Food is great, sound is great! Never been treated better anywhere in Dallas than here.
So fun! We went for a special vendor's event and had such a good time with drag queens and all! Drinks were good and food was delicious, however I dont think it was part of their normal menu. Usually they host concerts but the space is nice and they have multiple bars and upstairs opera-like seating as well.
What a neat place I've never been there before. The staff was amazing make sure people know where they were going . Some other concertgoers for throwing water at a girl who was doing nothing wrong in the stack responded and escorted those boys out promptly and without causing a scene. Cool cool place the sound was awesome.
Overpriced, unclean, and unfriendly staff. Accused of participating in illicit behavior on multiple occasions while behaving properly and politely. Worst venue experience ever. If your favorite artist comes to Dallas and plays here, you’d have better luck waiting till they play another venue.
Love this venue. Seen several acts here over the years. The venue never disappoints. Been both below and in seats above. Both work nicely.
It is so hot outside and everyone has any reason to be cranky. I am so glad to see the security/ staff being this kind. Jimmy was so great to every person he met and definitely made being outside a ton easier. Thanks jimmy! Let’s go #lovelytheband
Don't go here is your favorite clothes unless you're a smoker. Lines are well managed, staff is professional, drinks are expensive. Sound is good. Wear comfy shoes.
I loooove this venue! They always curate amazing shows and the vibe is live!
Went and saw polyphia here and it was amazing such a great venue!
Absolutely terrible experience the only credit deserved goes to the waitress you could tell she was trying but it doesn't make up for the awful experience. They were out of every side we ordered both steaks came out over cooked the lady that brought our food was so rude we almost left I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody it is absolutely terrible and extremely over priced for such terrible food and customer service. Wasted a 100 dollars on some drinks and a little steak couldn't even finish it was so bad never again
This has been one of my favorite venues in Dallas! Lots of memorable and intimate shows! I just recently attended the Joe Russo’s Almost Dead show. This was no different, an intimate and close setting for an amazing night of music. Goldie and Jerry we’re quick and attentive at the Bar. The event staff were courteous and helpful. Todd listened to my concern of overpriced valet. Overall, great time as always.
Went to see Band Maid here over the weekend. Had mixed feelings about the show. Love the small room feel, didn't like the fact that many people could barely see the band. Room design is poorly done. VIP was a mess, ended up super late, and then we were hustled through. Thought for sure we'd get photos or something. Next is the fact that certain employees were extremely rude to people. I get there are rules to enforce, but keep your attitude at home. Also please teach your employees all the rules, clearly. I paid for a pocket camera just for this show, and this certain overbearing employee would not let me in and said I'd have to put it somewhere. I handed it to a friend not using VIP, and later showed multiple employees and they all said it was perfectly fine and would be allowed. Other employees did their job and were friendly and I appreciate that. The band was amazing and overall I very much enjoyed the show. I'd hope if they return they would be in the bigger room, as it's far better designed. Plus it's obvious many more people would have gone if possible!
Of course parking downtown is trash but they should have picked a better spot for this establishment that would be better suited to find parking. Went for a podcast review on Jay-Z’s blueprint album and had fun. Good space for crowd but place got HOT quickly. Drinks were good and of course expensive but they were able to give me a chilled shot.
Kinda touristy and WAY over-priced drinks, but the food is unexpectedly very good and there some healthy choices among the carb-loaded fare. I had the steak salad and it was exceptional. This is a nice place to see live music acts and grab a bite to eat. Hint: you will actually save save money using the HOB valet parking vs. the local public parking garages that charge $25 for evenings.
Love this place. It feels really comfortable and for a concert venue it was great! Had live bands in the restaurant and in the concert area, drinks were fantastic, food was great. Prices aren't too bad for what you're getting. My friends and I had a great time!
Horrible "VIP" Meet and Greet Concert Experience UPDATE: After emailing with two people from HOB, the manager from that night at the venue reached out. Her name is Kelli, and she was delightful. She explained everything that went into the behind the scenes stuff related to the meet and greet and was much more pleasant than anyone else I'd spoken to. I'm impressed with how she handled the situation and will be returning to the HOB. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought VIP Meet and Greet passes for a concert months ago that arrived on time, but I called the vendor (Ticketmaster) when I noticed there wasn't any VIP designation on the tickets. They assured me that since it was a "local" VIP event, the venue would reach out a week or so before the show. Fast forward to a week before the show and I hadn't received so much as a reminder of the event. I've since called multiple times to get information from Ticketmaster, but they simply don't have it. I was assured that the venue would send me the information last week and nothing. So, I called the House of Blues to get it, but I was only able to leave a voicemail. Apparently, this has been an issue for a number of fans. The event is tonight, and I've been trying to get information for over a week now. I have a rough idea of when the meet and greet is thanks to my persistent phone calls, but I can only imagine how out of the loop I'd be if I hadn't done that. Fingers crossed check-in goes smoothly because I paid extra for the VIP Meet and Greet experience. And I expect to get what I paid for. TL;DR: If you buy VIP Meet and Greet packages from the HOB, expect to put in hours of work to get any information on when it's happening. I'd suggest starting to reach out two weeks prior to your event and crossing your fingers someone can be helpful.
My friend wanted a few of her friends to join her to this concert.. we had a great time! Venue is small GA is standing but they have seating on the second floor balcony.
Great intimate venue. Candlebox was awesome
Food and service were great! Shrimp appetizer was best ever! Waitress Darah was amazing!
Great place. Went to an awesome concert here. Just make sure you bring good company.
I had the most amazing experience with my friend. The entire staff took care of us with VIP type service. The host Andi was very welcoming and gave us an awesome tour of the facility. Our server Sydney was amazing, she was very attentive and gave great service. Rosa the manager was also very welcoming and friendly. We definitely will be coming back for another visit. Try their country fried steak, its delicious.
Awesome venue. Food in restaurant wasn't great and service was slow but convenient. Had a great time. Bar tender at the show was awesome. He remembered my name as I started a tab the when I went back for drink #2. When I settled up, he made a cup of ice water for me unsolicited.
Went to see Lovely the Band with my teenage daughters. Was worried about safety until we got there, but quickly found it to be a nice venue. Pretty up close and personal for concerts. Could have a little more accessible seating. Really enjoyed the concert. Would like to go back again.
Amazing time! The food was RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS! OMG! Service was great..Music great AND they are on Groupon. That's where we got our tickets. We attended a Gospel Brunch, so awesome. If you can attend a concert there you should definitely do so. You will have a great time and enjoy your meal. Only NEGATIVE I would say is that they have some tall tables that sit in front of some short tables which obstructs the view and unfortunately we were those people, so that sucked. But other than that it was a good time
Sounded good, bartenders were great, not a bad spot to see a show
The staff are so nice! They were very welcoming. ☺️ I enjoyed the drinks and music events performed here. Just overall a great experience!
Was there working a bday party in one of the private rooms. Food was great! And I LOVED THAT VENUE!!!
Didn't eat here, but attended MuddFest. Parking was easy, $6.50 for 5 hours and is right behind the venue. We had general admission standing area, but we were soo close to the stage and had a great time. No huge lines for the bathroom & bartenders were friendly. I would have given 5 stars, but my only issue was people smoking pot openly in the crowd.
My girlfriend's and I celebrated my birthday by going to the Sunday Gospel Brunch. It was a good time for all of us.. The best birthday ever. Lady Diamond was great She has a wonderful voice and was super sweet. We loved the men of Nehemiah, they had an amazing sound. Lady Diamond posed with us for pictures. The buffet was wonderful . They had a wide variety of dishes. Everything was hot and tasty. I plan to go back soon.
What an experience!! Do not waste your money on Valet. I spent 1 1/2 hours total in valet line to park and pick up!!! Hell the damn concert was that long!!! Ok Boney James and his band was phenomenal as usual. The floor chairs were pitiful THANK GOD THEY WERE NOT TIED TOGETHER! CORNER seats only in the future. The sound system is amazing!!
Cool venue, and even better service, specifically by Jason in the VIP section. Made the whole night for us a great experience.
Fun fun place! It is huge inside with different levels and rooms. The staff was very kind and the entertainment was great. Only complaint is that they only do valet parking, so you have to drive and park pretty far away.
Great venue. Packed on entry and exit but things moved quickly. Floor and upper deck options. Great sound. Clean restrooms!
Very scenic, atmosphere has a nice vibe upstairs seating and a floor downstairs
My friend and I came here and loved it. It was a monday so wasnt too crowded. They had live music which was very relaxing. The food was good but you have to eat fast before it gets too cold, I think the air conditioning was set a little to high. But overall I would definitely come back.... maybe with a blanket
Lots of fun. This is a great spot for your Friday or Saturday night. We enjoy it every time we go.
Good venue. I've been to HS reunion and concerts. Sound is good and love that there are multiple bars in the concert area. Needs more ladies rooms.
Went to a concert last night at the house of blues and everything was going great until a fire alarm went off... The alarms were flashing and making an announcement for everyone to evacuate which was drowned out by the music so nobody inside heard them. My girlfriend and I were at the top of the stairs to the entrance at the time of the alarm and when we noticed that nobody could hear the alarm, I decided for the safety of my girlfriend's sister and her sister's husband, I would go back down and let them know we needed to evacuate... This is when the house of blues security decided to intervene and not allow me to re-enter the venue to get them even though they had no intentions of warning anyone about any issues until they determined if it was a real emergency or not. This is extremely dangerous as the club was packed full and nobody (even staff) knew what the alarms were going off for but they decided to keep everyone in a possibly dangerous and unknown situation instead of stopping the show and getting everyone safe before determining the cause of the alarms. Because I had tried to walk around the security to warn my girlfriend's sister about the alarm, I was grabbed multiple times when I made no physical advances towards anyone, was never violent or drunk and belligerent, I was thrown out of the venue and James the security guard got physical with me as he was taking the $13 beer out of my hand to throw it away (which was my girlfriends who was not getting kicked out). So, I lost the $100 for our tickets, had $26 worth of alcohol, that was not mine but my girlfriends who again was not kicked out, ripped out of my hands and thrown away and was physically grabbed and pushed by multiple staff causing extreme pain in my neck. Be very aware that house of blues does not care about your safety and will get physical without any action from a patron that warrants it. I will be calling the fire marshal to report the actions taken by house of blues staff to not only ignore the alarms but also keeping everyone in danger by not immediately evacuating as the alarms stated. If any representative of the house of blues would like to speak further about this issue and try to come to a resolution, I would love to hear from them.
Fun cover and night...venue is very nice. Restaurant needs more visual separation. Maybe very tall plants or curtains or maybe a giant stuffed bear
I go here ever couple of years for One OK Rock. The food is good, the staff is great, and security is on it! 3 times I have witnessed incidents that could have gone south in a hurry, but they were handled quickly and professionally with absolutely no disturbance to the show. Keep up the good work and I cant wait to go again!
For a music venue it's a great private show feeling experience. Drink and some food is a bit on the pricey side but it is in the city. The burgers are quite delicious tho.
Fabulous venue for great music. Amazing is the acoustic. Electrifying is the special effects, including lights and smoke. Of the talent seen: huge acts performed in Main Stage; solos in Cambridge Room; and, late night “jazzy” in Foundation Room. General admission is for standing room only, great sight line even at back. VIP section with seating is set further from stage. Valet service on premise. Well managed security checkpoints. No smoking inside. No wait in line with VIP or PLT tickets. Happy Travels Y’all!
Cool location and venue, but I'll be sure to get a table or VIP seats next time just to be able to see the stage.
A great venue, but the line was confusing as there was another show and staff didn’t organize it too well. Other than that it was a great venue and very pretty.
It was the best place ever for a concert. Everyone is up close to the band's.
This venue was super accessible, within ten minutes walking distance from at least a dozen hotels. I didn't have any of the food or drinks (had just eaten PT's chicken), but I probably will next time. The staff was helpful and efficient directing guests around. The restrooms were clean, and there were plenty of stalls/urinals so that there was never a line. The venue's motto is Help Ever Hurt Never. Though I was there to see Swedish metal bands, there was a blues band playing live at the same time, and between that and the couches everywhere, the overall vibe in the place is very relaxed. They really want you to take your experience and draw from it the motivation to help others, which is what blues music is all about. Pro tip: the gift shop sells earplugs, which are perfect for when you're seeing Sabaton and HammerFall. The only issue we experienced was when leaving. Large crowds take a long time to exit, especially when some people want to get merch or autographs. If crowds trigger your anxiety, you need to get out early or hang inside for a while. They still get five stars from me in spite of that.
Tessa Violet in the Cambridge Room, Aug 29th, 2019. Venue was cozy, sound was great, drinks were pricey. Would recommend.
Venue is beautiful... drinks are over priced and tiny. Parking is a bear. But that's Dallas for ya. Over all a good time though.
I remember going to House of Blues about a decade ago and it still has it same nostalgia. I love the vibe of this venue! It is eclectic, fun and intimate. The sound was even better than I remember. Ocean Alley absolutely rocked the house.....we just saw there concert and decide to go last minute. Such a wonderful surprise. Coming from a musicial background myself, I have nothing but respect for the band! Props guys:)
Great intimate venue. TVs need to be updated. Food and drinks are great!
We come yearly to see the best Pink Floyd cover!
Had a great time, candle box was awesome. Thanks to security for getting the 2 trouble makers out of there before they started a fight.
Awesome place but the food is just okay. Water for 4 bucks? When you're thirsty that's what you get. Aside from that it's neat and entertaining.
I can only vouch for the music hall, but it was an awesome experience! I loved the at home feeling with stage, bar, and restrooms all being within "arms reach" all while rocking with my favorite band... Scott Stapp ;) Very easy going, fun, relaxing night out :)
Great place! I like it much more than the one in Houston. A lady spilled a drink on my wife and after I stopped laughing, I told an employee and they got something to cover her chair with since it was pretty wet. Then the lady bought her a drink.... Acoustics are good. Restaurant is waaaaaay overpriced and they don't seem like they know what they are doing.
Restaurant is ok, food was good but took about 25 minutes to get it, good service, place is clean and very inviting.
Great venue to catch a show. They not only have big name acts but also local and tribute bands. The restaurant and bar serves a good variety of food including apps, tacos, sandwiches and burgers to pasta and steak. The bbq sandwich was really good and they have Texas, Memphis, and Carolina BBQ sauce you can add. Even if you're not there for a show, drop by for some great food.
The venue itself is remarkable, the staff was very courteous and professional, and the prices were very reasonable for Dallas. No motorcycle parking the night we went - had to get a metered spot up the street.
I'm a rock star my band, Booty and the Hoefish, has played HOB twice. Our fans love it. It's a great venue to see live music. The sound system in the main hall is world class. We've never sounded so good to our crowd, and the sound on stage was the best we've had. The venue makes it easy for our fans to have a good time with many different seating options from standing to booths, to the balcony. The only downside is the drinks are expensive. But for a night of music and partying this is a great place.
Thanks so much Joe for putting up with us. Definitely made Sunday a bareable event. We will have to come back and check out the rest of the place.
Brings people from all source of life under one roof that have aprection for art.
We saw Switchfoot here and had an absolutely amazing time! I've been to a multitude of shows during my lifetime and this one was my favorite by far! Probably the best part was that we got to be so close to the stage. I would definitely come see another show here in the future.
Best venue for concerts flat out! The atmosphere is also just magnificent when compared to other venues like the bomb factory or south side ballroom
I went to support someone singing! It was a very interesting experience! I never found seating however! Maybe it was upstairs.
Walked in and just love the atmosphere needs more places to stand or sit for free to watch any concert
WOW!!! What an amazing place. I have visited here several times and each time was amazed with the joy and atmosphere here. I love music and this place is perfect for me . The food was super delicious and the services was quick enough. Finally recommended place,
Pretty cool place, big! Love the seating, we were up in the balcony part not down on the floor. Very comfortable and was easily able to see the band. The serve food and alcohol, so get ready for an experience if you have never been
There should be someone in front of the entrance giving out deodorants cause some of y'all don't know what that is. Got me holding my nose throughout the whole damn performance overall the place is ight bone thugzz killed the show
Always enjoy the concerts but it's hard to stand up for a couple of hours. Definitely was some pot smell going around. I left after that.
House of Blues has hosted our Kids Who Rock Camp performances as well as the Talent Shows. It is such a delight to work with professional and nice people. Always very accommodating for our events. A perfect place for the kids to show their talents. We also had a Christmas Holiday show this past 2018. The guests that were not a part of the show enjoyed it as well. Our shows are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! I cannot thank HOB enough for giving the kids a place to SHINE and what a better spot than the House of Blues?? Stay tuned & check the HOB calendar for more performances in 2019 from KIDS WHO ROCK.
Been to over a dozen shows throughout the years and really enjoy the venue. Lots of cool art and layout is set for a good view for everyone.
One of our favorite places to enjoy live music. We've seen several great bands here. Train, Def Leggend, and Back and Black to name a few. We always get floor tickets but it's standing room only. They do offer a sitting area but it's in the upper balcony. The action is on the floor for sure.
Fun venue, grwat event! But drinks must have a special dragon egg for magical power- cause they are crazy expensive.
We had gone for the Drag Brunch. The buffet food was honestly amazing!! I wasn’t expecting that at all. I couldn’t get enough of the good. The mimosas were the best I’d ever had. I had the strawberry. The fresh show was cute and entertaining. Not bad pricing considering how much you get.
I visited The House Of Blues the other night. Three words came sum up my experience. Small intimate venue. I really have nothing negative to say. For the most part it was clean, the staff was polite and over all, it was a very pleasurable experience. The artist had the bass turned up just a tad to high, however again it was a good and memorable experience.
By far the best house of blues we have been too! We live in Houston and in all honesty we prefer to come here! Lauren and Paige behind the bar are outstanding and make amazing drinks! They make you feel welcomed and are always on point! Rich the manager is super friendly and welcoming! Totally recommend this place
Excellent venue! One of my favorite. Sound: excellent. From the side of the stage, pit, back at the bars to the seats upstairs... sound is consistent. View: no matter where you are standing the angle of the floor makes the view great. Even the very sides of the front-stage are great without any pushing or shoving needed (if that’s what you prefer). Drinks: Plenty of bars on each side and the bartenders are attentive. They remember you and make sure you are taken care of quickly. Staff at the front is courteous and organized so you are in without a hassle while doing their job correctly. PARKING - be aware that they don’t have their own parking lot. Valet is cheap which may be tempting but the line to get your car after the show is extremely long. There is a public parking under the highway (2-3 minute walk) and cheap.
I have never eaten here, so can't speak of the food. But, as a concert venue...my only complaint is that most of the middle part of the venue is VIP tables and the sound production area, giving limited options for viewing without obscurities, unless your there early enough for the show or want to fight your through crowd for front viewing. Other than that clean bathrooms, well staffed and plenty of bar/beverage areas with short waits.
I was fortunate enough to score some free tickets and had a blast! Jessica and Tomas were my bartenders, and both put in extra effort to ensure that I had a great night!
Nice venue. Was there only for a show didn't try the restaurant or bar
This venue has great acoustics! I love coming for concerts because I know the sound quality is going to be outstanding! I also enjoy the layout. All in all, an enjoyable music venue.
It's okay for small venue. The food and cocktails were good with friendly staff, but I wouldn't come back for a concert. Extremely unorganized. Seemed like no one knew what was going on. I paid an extra $250 for a VIP table and still couldn't see since people were allowed to stand directly in front of our table.
The staff made sure we got where we needed to go. The venue was absolutely amazing. Can't wait for next time.
It was amazing! The staff was great and the atmosphere wonderful! I cant wait to go back for future shows.
Third time I've been here and it gets worse every time. Sound quality was pretty terrible with the volume turned up past what is safe or comfortable and intermittent screeching feedback. Not sure if the act or the venue is to blame but it wasn't as painful the other times I've been here.
1st time at the HOB. Went there for a concert. Big restaurant with full size bar and a souvenir shop and what impressed me the most is the underground concert stadium! My friend had crutches on so even if we bought tickets for stand-up only, we were given seats without extra charge! The staff went out of their way to make our experience much more enjoyable. After the concert, we went to the Powder Room that has a Moroccan decor to it and I went dancing even if my friend couldn't. The DJ played some good tunes! We had a great time at the HOB.
Came to see a Spanish band Siddhartha! What an amazing show!!! The venue is nice and friendly staff... I Will come back!
Always a clean venue (bathrooms, too) as well as a professional staff. If there are any issues, the team is quick to respond and dissolve them.
Outstanding Customer service by the Manager!!!! And her team on Sunday September 1st. Thank you for the great Service on my first time here.
Great experience. Sat in the second level. Great view and acoustics. My only recommendation would be to upgrade the video. The screen that shows the performance is very grainy and out of date. Bar tenders, servers, host, etc...ALL FRIENDLY. This was our first time. Loved it.
Loved every part of this place. The live music was incredible. The silent disco was a great experience. Overall, I bragged about this place to all of my friends. Can't wait to try another location.
Been a while since I've been here. Tonight's show was really good. The bands were off the chain. I won't wait too long before my next visit.
We have been here for a few concerts and the experience is always great. Tonight we brought our nine-year-old son and he was tired. The staff proactively offered us a few chairs. I appreciate the attention to detail and going above and beyond for the customer. You made tonight so much more enjoyable for us! Many many thanks!
I love how this place looks inside! The bottom floor is amazing to watch the stage from. But the balcony sucks when they leave the stage because you can't see anything!
Just a great venue, not a bad seat in the house. The staff is awesome and goes out of their way to accommodate you. I look forward to seeing any concert at the HOB Dallas
My favorite HOB ... and I have been to almost all of them. It seems like every time I go to the Dallas HOB, the venue becomes a 'star' just like the musicians on stage. Cheers! JMAC
Great venue. Gets super hot though and I'm no amateur.
Event staff Mike G.... Words are not enough for this guy. He's serving everyone water...by himself, oh...refills too. What an amazing human y'all got here!!! Thank you soooooooooo much. It was much needed and much appreciated.
Parking terrible. I tried to valet park twice and they wouldn't because they were only parking for some other event. No clear signs where to enter. Guy didn't know where are seats are. Then after seated another lady comes up to us for tickers again. Terrible.!!
Don't like they allowed a woman to bring her service dog into a loud concert. I understand the woman may have a restriction and need the dog for whatever reason- but its absolutely unacceptable that the dog had to endure being right next to a loud concert (for however long she decided to be there) It was not a acceptable environment for a dog for any reason and shame on that woman for putting a dog through that. The vegan impossible burgers here are absolutely to die for though!!!!!!!!
This is a nice place to see a concert for sure! Its small enough to see the band well but big enough to walk around and still see. Sometimes downstairs get really packed and you have an obstructed view but if you sit upstairs the view of the stage is absolutely perfect!
VERY disappointed to have anticipated Sunday Gospel brunch buffet, well featured on their website and on site, only to learn upon arrival is it offered once a month. Music was recorded track. Server shared this is a frequently shared frustration from other customers. Management needs to amend advertising accordingly. It created an unwelcome and expensive modification to our day as a consequence. Had time for buffet, not seated service. The few hours we had for Perot museum became even fewer. Service exceptional, thanks to Riley. Venue appealing for a live performance. Easy reservations. Food quite average as a whole. Brisket nachos quite tasty. Comped bread pudding thoughtful touch, resulting from the botched brunch advertising and our rushed schedule. She also offered coupon toward the company store, which kids enjoyed using.
We have been several times recently. Loved the live music in the restaurant. Wait staff fun and attentive. We have ordered different items and approved the taste on each dish. Parking is the only dilemma faced, solved with valet which is reasonably priced for the area.
Always a great time! The staff is excellent and the bands .. Well, what can you say? Men Without Hats!!!
Totally enjoyed my visit to the venue but especially the restaurant and bar....The bartender was out of this world....We will be back again
Love coming to shows here! My only complaint is that I wish they'd close the blinds or turn off the lights in the offices upstairs during the shows. My eye always wanders there during a show because of the light source. Other than that, the venue feels unique despite being part of a chain, which is hard to pull off.
Really great venue. Prefer the down stairs spot to the upstairs. Was able to get drinks and go stand in line for the concert. Friend held spot, I grab drinks, drink and repeat. It was an unexpected surprise.
My wife and I went for Ninja palooza and had an absolute blast! The drinks are reasonably priced the food is fantastic the waitstaff is amazing and we truly enjoyed every moment. It's crazy to see that there is always tickets available because this place should be sold out at every event. We love to go and look forward to going to eat show and we'll always going back to ninja palooza every year! The foundation room is a fantastic touch and I would highly recommend anybody that has the opportunity to swing by HOB here in Dallas to definitely do it!!
Food was outstanding! Service was warm and friendly. They were out of gator bites so the manager comped a round of drinks. Which led us to order the Angus beef sliders and I must say they were phenomenal. Music was great! Atmosphere was very relaxing. I recommend a Bailey's and coffee and sitting on the front porch. Just absorbing a bit of that downtown Dallas Magic.
I had a Yummy meal with family during my birthday celebration.
Great atmosphere and a beautiful collection of art in the restaurant. Fun up close concert venue.
Awesome music venue! I love that they host metal bands. Beer is way over priced... But that's to be expected. This doesn't apply to the restaurant, just concert hall.
Justin Lopez put on a great event, the Bourbon street soiree. Great showcase of the vendors that can be book for House of Blues events.
Made reservation online for what I thought was a Sunday Gospel brunch. Upon arrival I learned that it was only held once monthly and only at their banquet center. Left to find a different Sunday brunch location.
Was there for my first time yesterday to see Boney James in concert. Amazing intimate feel and setting. Nice and cold when entering the building from the muggy Texas heat. I look forward to frequenting this place more often. I totally love this place!
Cool DJ in the house. Nice smoke area...
It's my second least favorite Dallas venue (only above the Granada) only because when I go to a show here I expect too much for parking and ticket fees. Very safe and thorough and drinks are over priced. Venue security does a great job and I've never been to a bad show here. But given the prophet bar is my favorite venue the rating goes to my personal taste.
Everything was wonderful except the overpriced water. It's bad enough being dehydrated but being ripped off as well is awful. Edit: I've been informed that they do have free water for DDs. I've changed the review score from 4 stars to five.
When you think of a place where to relax with your family ton celebrate birthdays or anniversaries on a Sunday weekend and listen to a good blues music; there are definitely not two locations, but one and only one. The House of Blues where we celebrate church in a different way with great artist and great gospel music all coupled with a nice brunch.
Great concert and comedy venue. Would love to go back!
Great food and drinks. Good environment with helpful friendly staff. Had some small appetizers before a show and the people for the concert part of the building were.just as friendly. My only complaint would be the very small cramped seats. I'm not tall but my knees kept smashing into the seat in front of me.
