Lousy schedule on their website. Difficult to view who is the band or DJ at the dance club on certain date then when you call you get a rude, impatient, filled-with -attitude individual!

My friends and I have been frequenting Glass Cactus for several years and anxiously awaited the reopening. We invited some couples that had never been after the remodeling and we were embarrassed. It was far from being remodeled. It looked more like a neighborhood bar. The wait staff didnt have a clue. The decor was drab. The Band was the only saving grace. It was so hot that the Band leader had to ask that the air be be turned down even before they got started. 80% of the few tables that were there were reserved with no occupants. There were wide open spaces with no tables so most guest were having to stand. How disappointing. This used to be one of our favorite places. How sad. We will not be back.

Nice club, but don't start a tab if you go on a busy Friday/Saturday night. Pay cash every time. Got several $8 and $10 charges on my credit card that I did not make. Probably bartenders giving themselves extra tips.

Had VIP package to Glass Cactus for New Years. What a joke!! Paid over $500 to get that. Were promised Swaroski Crystal glasses, free drinks, and hors'deavrs. Drinks had flat tonic water -bar was dirty-long lines-no place to sit-terrible food., and No Swarovski glasses!! Would NEVER, EVER go back. Marriott blames Glass Cactus and Glass Cactus blamed Mariott for lack knowing anything about the package. Horrible!!!!! Really wouldn't give one star if I didn't have to-to post

Nice place, fair cover charge, drinks are fairly priced, valet parking, friendly personnel. The DJ, however, was no good. Wouldn't play a song for longer than a few seconds, to then mix in a song of a completely different genre. He had no flow or continuity, and he over scratched some songs. Awful! Also, if you open a tap, double check your check, as I got an extra drink in mine, which was removed from the check when I complained. Will I go back? I'm still trying to decide that...

Great look & feel. Bad bartenders. The buildout, ambiance, and view of the lake are all excellent. Crowd is late 20's & 30s.....perhaps low 40s (my age.) The service from floor managers was excellent. They have a lot of roped off VIP areas that were generally empty when we were there - so we didn't have a lot of seating options without paying the $100+ fee. The bar-maid service was poor, despite a slower night. The bartenders just suck. They get 20 year-old girls who look smokin' hot, but they can't mix a drink. I ordered a margarita on the rocks. The ingredients were totally unbalanced and the drink was not shaken - just swirled around a little bit in the shaker. I returned the drink. The 2nd girl remade it in a shaker, then simply poured it in the serving glass. It tasted even worse. So, I switched to beers. If I pay $10 for a drink, I expect it to be correctly made and consistent. We'll go back, but next time I'm sticking with beer.

Nice atmosphere, but there needs to be at least 5 bartenders working the main bar. We sat outside which was nice, but the entire time we were there, waitress showed up once, and just to pick up glasses. This place needs a Manager walking around, and trained staff. Myself, along with others had to wait 15-20 minutes at the bar to get drinks. When I got my bill, I was shocked at the prices!! The bartender just hit any button for the drink price. Alabama Slammer was priced as a Long Island Tea? $65 for 6 drinks is outrageous!!!

I love the venue but not big fan of music here. There is so much potential for this pub considering the location. I so wish they had good DJ. Allot of youths (local and tourists visit and turn back) They need to cater to youth crowd - currently its mostly 48-65 year old. Its my 4th time its always same.

I went to see a couple of bands last night at Glass Cactus. I was extremely disappointed by the place.i I was told it had been remodeled recently. The place reminded me of a school cafeteria with a stage. It even had tacky burgundy curtains on the stage. The waitstaff was poor at best. The food was okay. They have a huge parking lot in front of the place but it is only valet. If you want to park free, you have to go to the parking garage and walk back. When it is 100° outside, who the heck wants to do that? I am seriously disappointed with Glass Cactus. I can't imagine returning. I'll go other places to see my favorite bands. Gaylord? I expected more.

Nice outside sitting with the lake view. If you get there before 8pm you wont have to pay a cover charge so you can use that money to pay for vallet parking. Place is spacious and fits a lot of people. Most of the crowd is in their 30's-40's so you can meet decent people and have some decent conversations. Its your usual bar atmosphere afterall. They usualy have a band playing into late evening and then place turns into night club.

The entertainment and atmosphere felt like a cruise ship instead of an upscale night club. Wasn't really what I was expecting. The service on the other hand was spectacular. The servers were on point. Very professional and took very good care of our group.

Mixed crowd with music variety. The local people and a selfie station give this place a friendly vibe. If you like to meet other people and dance then this is the place for you. They have different themed nights. Beware of the guy in the matching suit with feathery cowboy hat. He is an ordained pastor and will push his religion on you.

My wife and I have been to the Glass Cactus many times first as general guests then as VIP members - The club is very popular and quite crowded on weekends, so if you want to get a seat you have to arrive early - if you go VIP you get good seating and don't have to worry about your table being taken over.... We purchased a VIP membership and get first rate friendly service from the time we arrive at the door till the time we depart. Drink prices are what I would consider to be comperable to most places I've gone to - - the selection is good - occasionally the bartenders will short pour - but if you tell the waitress she'll make sure it's taken care of right away. The entertainment has always been extremely good - and depending on who's playing, you may or may not be able to dance when they're playing (Spazmatics) so just wait till the DJ takes over to get some elbow room to dance.....

I planned a Bachelorette party at the Glass Cactus and was so embarrassed I did! The only reason we went there was because the Spazmatics were playing and they were fun, but the club itself is a joke!!! They think they are some very exclusive club on the vegas strip or something....but they are so far from it!!! The girl I called to get VIP seating was so rude and that should have been my first clue, but the "bouncer" was even worse! He actually yelled for about 5 minutes to one of the girls at the bachelorette party because she sat down in a vacant chair for a minute (mind you, she was 7 months pregnant). If she wanted to sit there she would have to pay $100 and we were already paying $600 to be in the VIP section...ridiculous!!!! Our waitress was actually pretty nice, but we didn't see her the entire night. She said it was too crowded and she couldn't get over to our section so we ordered bottle service so we could atleast get some drinks, but then we got yelled at for pouring our own drinks. It was one disaster after another and, again, I was so embarrassed that I planned the party there and all these girls were forced to be there. I will not go back unless I am literally forced at gunpoint!

Went there for Nye tonight. Waited for an hour. They let people in there that had been waiting less time than we had. I asked the GM and he said they were with a party that was already there which wasn't true because I'd been visiting with them for the last hour while waiting in line. I spent thousands there over the years and to get treated like that when I had to go through the trouble to get a babysitter for my 3 kids so I could have a good New Years with my wife is unacceptable. Gave up and went home. I'm a local they'll hear about this more than once.

I'd say it's the place to be! At first I wasn't sure from the reviews by negative people on here. But as soon as I walked through the doors at The Glass Cactus my perception changed instantly! Drinks are only $2 more than some places, but that's not bad really. No problems from younger immature young crowds, everyone here is the to have a great time. the David Whiteman Band had the place jumpin, playin a variety of music newer and older, very diverse which was great! And the ladies are beautiful here as well. If your thinking about going, stop thinking and do it you'll enjoy your night!

Very nice upscale bar, restaurant and nightclub built right over the waters of Grapevine Lake. Prices are what you could expect from a nightclub, but less than anything you will pay in Dallas hot spots. Clientele is suburban types, housewives, couples, business travelers, tourists, and singles looking to mingle. Definitely an older, more mature crowd. Not many young professionals or people under 30 years old here. Place is so big it can look somewhat empty at times. On NYE and other nights it can get packed though. Staff is usually nice and club is always clean. Most people come for the views, cocktails and to unwind. Food is mostly good, and drinks are blended well. Music is live country, folk and alternative. DJ's mix up Top 40 and Pop in between sets. A lot of overplayed radio and old school stuff. The Glass Cactus isn't really my cup of tea at my age, but definitely a nice place for the 40+ year old suburban crowd in the Grapevine, Flower Mound, Coppell and Southlake areas. There really isn't any nightlife at all around these suburbs besides this place, so its a popular hot spot to the locals.

The worst NYE party. Huge lines to get in, terrible service, you had to fight through the crowd and wait 30 mins to get a drink only to get ignored by the rudest bartenders. They were understaffed which ruined the experience for everyone even the employees seemed overwhelmed. Not to mention how expensive it is. This place is for old people too (45+)

I had my birthday party there for about 20 people. No food, just drinks. It’s got the best of both worlds : a great place to hang out by the lake for a quiet time or go inside and dance it up all night ! They also have karaoke Fridays which is a lot of fun. While you’re in grapevine, you can also go the wine trail.

Hopefully they dont have the same DJ as they did tonight. The guy literally techno mashed every single song. I'm talking 15 seconds of a song. Theres 4 people on the dance floor and hes oblivious. Nice venue but music kind of makes a club.

My best friend and I tried Glass Cactus for a change of pace from our typical local bars. Getting to the location was difficult. When we were inside we were greeted by a myriad of mostly older men and young women who were clearly there for one reason. The DJ was unimpressive, playing remixed pop songs to a techno beat. I bought an appetizer of the shrimp tempura. That was really good. Some out of towner offered to buy us a drink, to which then he felt this was his pass to attempt to have his way. We left before his disrepect got him either put in the hospital or in jail. The bartenders will rip you off as well. This man clearly paid for the drinks in front of us, but the bartender doubled up and put them on my tab as well. We stayed less than an hour, and went back to our local bar where we had a phenomenally fun time without the drama, disrespect or attempts by staff to rip us off.

I had a great time and it was a big enough venue that there was still plenty of space and not overcrowded. Outback on the water it was nice with tables to sit and drink. The bartender overcharged our card on the bar tab for more shots than we drank and was fixed the next day. Definitely a fun spot

Very crowded all tables reserved. Was there at 8 pm had to sit at the side bar by dance floor which wasn't bad. Waitress never checked on us to see if we needed anything. Had to go to bar to get drinks, and bar tender couldn't even make a simple Tom Collins. He made it with salt. When I told him it was wrong he tried to say thats how they make them here. I showed him on my phone how to make it and he still argued about it. I was a bar tender for 19 years. Tom Collins is one of the most basic drinks made but Glass Cactus bartenders don't know how. Pretty sad.

It's a little expensive. if you want to be close to the entrance you'll have to use valet parking. Otherwise you'll have to walk a good distance from the parking garage to the front entrance. If you do use the parking garage, don't forget to ask for parking validation. There's usually a cover charge to get in. On the up side, the entertainment (live music and dj's) is always a blast and the view of the lake is beautiful.

Aug 18th. They changed the times when Walton Stout plays from 9:30 pm to 8 pm. So a second band could play named Ishi. Now dinner plans and movie times all have to be changed in less than 24 hrs and to think i know someone that was going propose at midnight while WSTB was playing. I am not going to this event any longer do to poor management.
