REVIEWS OF B.B. King's Blues Club IN Tennessee

Sam Cross

Music was awesome, Brimstone Jones as well as the BB King All Star Band. Drinks were good and strong and the waitress never let us sit empty. But the best part was the food! I had the Southern Fried Catfish and Shrimp and it was bomb. What really amazed me was how fast we had food in front of us! We came in on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty full but we still had our food within 10-15 minutes of sitting down.

Blayn Crabtree

The music was very enjoyable, the atmosphere is authentic. I had their B-BQ ribs, probably the best ive ever had. The staff were all very hospitable. No complaints, no not one.

Allan Smith

Great music and food! What else is there to say! Good ole down home BLUES

Art Torrez

Ok, ok. I moved to Memphis a handful of months ago & work in the service industry. I’ve heard of BB Kings a lot & decided to stop by recently-mostly because of Justin Timberlake surprise appearance there a short while ago. The ambience is primarily middle age 45+ Rock n Roll fans-I don’t fit into those categories. It was somewhat of a mixed crowd but still felt stuffy. I ordered tacos which were not that bad for bar food. Then left.

Robert Coulombe

Stopped in to listen to a local blues band and we enjoyed the time spent there.

Lisa Sutherland

Food was incredible, Southern cooking at its best and the music was just what you'd expect! The band was engaging as well and took the time to speak with many of the diners. The staff was super friendly and efficient, food was not overpriced which was a pleasant surprise. I would definitely go back.

Lidia Sandoval

Every dish I've tried has been delicious. The ambience is fun. The music can be a bit too loud though.

Jeff Sis

Great music in an iconic atmosphere. Good food & service. The gift shop has their Rib Rub and their BBQ sauces to take home. The REALLY COOL AC felt sweet on a hot day too!

kyle moody

Really liked the ribs definitely worth the price. Right on beale street good place to start your memphis adventure.

Joe Sykes

Not a good experience. First of all, a $5 cover for a restaurant.....please. Should have left & not paid it. Dinner was mediocre at best and was overpriced for what we got. I had the catfish & shrimp combo. Tasted like something from Golden Corral. Was supposed to come with hush puppies. Never got them. Waited about 5-10 minutes for our server to come back and check on us & told him about the hush puppies. He brought them about 20 minutes later. Requested a drink refill, never got it. Long story short, if it wasn't for my wife wanting to go there, I wouldn't have went. Cannot recommend going here. Hopefully, I'll have better luck tomorrow night. I get to pick the restaurant for dinner. The one star is for the BBQ sauce. Tried a bite of the wife's pulled pork....was the best part of the experience. After reading some of the other reviews, looks like I wasn't the only one who felt like I had been shafted after paying $30 a head for bad food & service....we didn't drink alcohol...just food.

Beth Hunt

The band was very good. Breaks a little on the long side, but since we had a table wasn't too bad of a wait. Service was fine. We had already eaten so only had dessert. We chose the peach cobbler. Tasty and served warm.

Gordon Campbell

Oh dear, busy big bar with lots of people eating. I think the band I saw were good but the sound was a bit of a mess and let them down, very indistinct. Okay when they were doing solos but really muddy (maybe Mississippi mud) when they were all going, and vocals not clear.

Wesley Bird

Great place to spend some time. Both bands I saw were spectacular!

Enoch Snyder

Amazing ribs, great atmosphere and a friendly staff. It will be busy all the time so plan ahead and reserve a table online. Only complaint was that their beer was not very cold and a little foamy.

Stereo Jam

Good sound, not rediculously loud but well mixed. Music was entertaining. $7 entrance fee on a Sunday evening. Bar prices reasonable. Good service at bar. Good seating, freely available once you're in. Has 2 levels. Attentive table service.

Talia A.

Amazing dishes and our waiter was hilarious. Don't waste money on dessert.

Linda C.

Great food. Great entertainment. There was a live jazz band playing during our meal. Not only were they musically talented, they were humorous. The servers were very attentive and friendly. Definitely visit B.B. King's when in Memphis. You won't be disappointed.

Andrea Clark

All around great experience. Live music. Good ribs, beans and coleslaw.

Dale Monroe

One of my favorite blues hangouts. Go for the music, stay for good food, beverage and people watching. Bring a load of cash if you plan on drinking much.

Eric Moore

BB's is a gem in downtown Memphis. Everybody is friendly. The food is delicious. They have good mixed drinks. The live band the Beale street all stars are awesome.

Tracy Dye

Yummy food, great live music on Beale Street, close parking, and our waiter was a hoot! (He said to say that!) We asked him to choose a good local beer for us, and the Fireside Ale was perfect. My son couldn't decide whether to order the chicken fried chicken or the chicken and waffle, so our waiter wrote down a surprise order for him and brought back the chicken and waffle, which was the best choice. There was a $3/person cover charge just to enter, which we weren't expecting, but the experience was worth it.

Karen Riley

We were in town for a wedding and stopped in for some dinner and drinks. Our waitress Tameka was the absolute BEST!! She recommended the shrimp and grits and they were crazy good. Even came back later and checked out the band and ordered more shrimp and grits! Tameka was so great the whole time, even when we saw her later that evening, she remembered us and joked around with us. We will definitely be back!! Can’t wait!!

Johnnie Hurt

Didn't have to make reservations. We were seated immediately on the second floor. Nice area where we was able to enjoy ourselves. The food was so delicious and we had alot. The drinks was so good and the band was amazing. I recommend everyone to have the experience that we did. Will be going back soon.

Samuel Brooks

One of the best nights on Beale street that I've had in a long time. During the hours of 5pm 8pm you can bring the family. Parties or just sum good old fashion live blues. My mother's 72nd birthday was a big hit because of BB Kings on Beale St. Thank you BB King and Memphis for making my mothers B-day a blast.

Tim Sidbury

I love live music so this spot helps BB stay on top! The food is good too!

Diana Vinson

What a great place!! Good food, great music, good drinks.. Will definitely return, next time in Memphis

Margo Burris

Delicious eats, and the entertainment was awesome. The best part was we were there on Bike Night on Beale!

david smith

Great food, music and Memphis atmosphere. What else could you ask for?...absolutely nothing. Don't miss it when you visit Beale St. in Memphis

Darlene Hines

Welcome to the original BB King's Blues Club! Beale Street is beautiful at night, you can listen in to the many venues playing blues and rock & roll, but none can compare to BB's. It's a $5pp cover charge at the door. This was our first time at a Blues Club and we loved every minute of it!

Frida Brashear

Dark inside and untidy. Pulled pork sandwich was good. Coleslaw was good. French fry is flavorful. Mac & cheese is rich and creamy. But the house specialty: the ribs is dry and burnt overcooked. Service is okay. Busy.

Tee Williams

Nice atmosphere, good live music and food is solid. Hostess could do a better job when coming in and explaining bar and seating options but beside that, worth the visit.

Rhiannon Stokes

The wait was long, not unbearable! The live music was good, but not consistent especially since we had to pay a cover charge for it, even though we just decided to go eat for the first time. The prices were reasonable for the name, and the food was delicious.

Steven Grady

The ribs were great! Better than expected actually. The cole slaw was delicious too. Music was really good. I highly recommend anyone give this place a try.

Stefanie Powell

Great live band. Amazing BBQ. Good times all around. From STL. Highly recommend visiting here.

Supreme Sparkle

Absolutely love this place. being from out of town and not exactly sure where to hang out at on Beale Street I came to this place and it was a live band that was amazing from at the guitar player to the drums and the Beautiful Lady that song. The waiter that serviced us was okay the only thing was it was just too damn I couldn't really see my food when it came I had to turn on my flashlight the food was great definitely will go back to this place

Stacey Lewis

The barbeque ribs and chicken were scrumptious! The baked beans were sweetly flavored!

Carl Brannicus

Best fried pickles I've ever had. Bbq sandwich was great and my waitress was friendly. If you don't like loud live music you will not have a good time.

Angela

I don't like BBQ, but guess who ate all the ribs? Me, this is the best BBQ ever and the live music just makes the restaurant much more fun. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is so chill, you'll love it!

Sandis Sullivan II

BB King's Memphis is worth every bit of the $7 cover charge, and then some. The house band is phenomenal. Not add, the food is top notch as well. Great place to visit while in Memphis. The true musical experience that all are trying achieve when in town. Would come back again, and agian!

Just Saying

My husband took me here for a surprise date night. It did throw us off we had to pay a $5 cover charge for the band but they were really good ,so they were worth the charge. I got pork street tacos, my husband gt the smoke house burger. Both were absolutely delicious. Words can not describe the music. It is definitely a place you need to at least visit once. We were there around 2pm. Not sure why others paid $7 for the cover charge. But anyway, We do plan on going back. Hopefully soon

sara Gilbert

Went their with friends one night, had the best time. Amazing food and music!

David Fontaine

Food was excellent. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. The live jazz band was the best. $5 cover was well worth it.

fred fulford

Awsome place. There was a slighy problem with our buzzer which meant we had to wait quite a bit longer but we got nicley compensated. On top of this the waiter service and bar service was great, music was fantastic, great atmosphere for a monday night and the food........ amazing ribs. These are the best ribs we've had in America. Definitely worth a visit. Food, music and service all fantastic.

Anitra Dillard

I love this atmosphere! Cute glasses you can take home. Art in the tables. Decent food. And great music

Aasyia Hightower

Best food and entertainment I ever had love this place will go again and probably again Lol if you ever in Memphis must go

Joe Stewart

They said it was the best barbecue ribs on Beale Street. I feel that I must disagree, they got the best damn ribs anywhere.

Jocelyn Galindo

The music was so awesome Bartender seemed less enthralled. But loved the music vibe here

Annette Krivos

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Didn’t expect such good food and what a band! MEMPHIS BLUES ROCKS! Great find.

Brad Williams

A must do in Memphis. This place is pretty much always packed but they seem to always have a spot to squeeze you in. The music and atmosphere are worth it. The food excellent. The service is usually slow because they are so busy.... just deal with it because it is what it is. The help is very nice though.

sharon shep shep

Had some ribs (fabulous!!!), BBQ chicken, baked beans and potato salad. All yum. And the music...a cut above for sure. Their first house band from the 90s is fantastic still today! A phenomenal birthday for my BB King fan hubby!

Raven Writes

I only stopped in for a drink while waiting on my ride. The drink did the job. I had the Strong Island Ice Tea. The staff was friendly. The customers all around be seemed to enjoy their food.

Diann Kane

We came on a Saturday night. Our wait time was only an hour, which wasn't bad considering how busy they were. The BB King All Star Band was amazing!!!!!! We enjoyed every singer immensely!!! I ordered the chicken tenders meal and my aunt ordered the catfish meal. Our food was very good! Did I mention the live music was amazing?!!!!

Lee Burt

Great atmosphere, food, service & music! We sat upstairs, & Michael was our server. Great guy. He made sure we were taken care of. The food was tasty. The B.B. King All-Star Band is probably the best live blues band I've ever heard (and I'm a musician, myself). I'd definitely recommend visiting here, if you're ever in Memphis.

musicloverofthegrill Robinson

Everything I expected!! Great food, great music, great atmosphere!! We visited Labor day weekend 2019 and I can't wait to return! There was a wait to be seated but we expected that with the popularity of the club. If you're looking for a fun filled musical time with good food this is it. Just wish I could've come during the King's lifetime and witnessed him and Lucille make magic!

Joseph Swanson

Band was great. $7 cover charge was worth it. Great food. Great atmosphere. Loved it

MultiJeffb

Great place. Great food. Great music. You guessed it. Had a great time.

Dave Barrett

Loved this place, so eclectic. Band was very good as was the food. First time for Memphis BBQ. Lots of food with many options. Went in figuring to eat and run in about 45 minutes and spent easily twice that listening to the band. Great children's options as well giving ice cream with every meal.

sweetangiegirl1

I had the best time here! Good food, good music and a friendly, welcoming staff. Highly recommended!

Jean Miller

Wish they were open later than 12 midnight but it was a Tuesday. Great house band. Musicians and singers were phenomenal! Food and service were good too! Beer wasn't cold enough and the martinis were bad but otherwise this place was a good time!

lisa hankins

Love the food here! Try the creamed greens, the chicken, and ohhh, the sauce. Take some home from the gift shop. Live music is great too!

Doug Morhac

BBQ chicken wad crazy good. Fantastic live music. This place is exactly what I expected when I thought of Beale St. Only reason I docked a start was because we had to pay a cover even though we were getting dinner and drinks, seems silly to charge a cover to people who are already spending a fair amount.

Jamie Kutzner

Awesome food. Had catfish and bbq platter, soooo good. $10 cover was a little ridiculous, considering we had dinner there. Bands were good. Wait staff door on upper level was VERY annoying....it slammed every time someone used it. Very disruptive.

Randy Nichols

The Ribs were perfect and the Music was incredible. Our server was available at all times and did a great job of making our evening memorable.

Christopher Delance

What can be said about such an iconic place that has yet to be said?! I don't think there is anything. This place is fun, very fun. Went there with a group on a Friday for our grandmother's birthday, and had a blast. It was a packed house, which I later found out, is an everyday thing. There was a local talent on stage when we first arrived, unfortunately I don't remember their name. Shortly after we were seated upstairs, the main act came on "The BB King Allstars". Once that got the stage, the place turned up a notch! I didn't eat here, but I've been told the BBQ here represents the Memphis style well! If you venture to Beale St and you don't visit this iconic place, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Andrea Wiener

Amazing. Food ...incredible. service...fabulous. ambiance...perfection. love it every time I'm in town.

thebossiam

Real tasty food (wide variety on the menu) and real good (blues) music. Fantastic service especially the server Tommy. Would recommend to anyone. Really impressed with this place - a real Gem.

Jonneisa Heard

Great atmosphere. The live band and food were superb

Doug Green

Great music and great BBQ. I had ribs and chicken... the Ribs were the best and the chicken was still great, but I kinda wish I had got all ribs! But the big surprise was the pulled pork tater tots appetizer... wasnt sure what I was getting, but so glad I got them. Mac n cheese was amazing as well.

Tina Phelps

The food was OK but the coleslaw was tasteless. No season. The staff was absolutely wonderful

Sam Gaines

It's a must you visit BB KINGS BLUES CLUB. They have thee BEST acts in town. I wish I had gone my first day there. I would've gone they every night of my stay. You Will not be disappointed!!!

Laura Miller

Reviewing the Memphis location, I was highly disappointed after visiting the Nashville location numerous times. The food was still as good, but just not the same service & fun atmosphere as Nashville. The location is smaller, air flow horrible especially on a heat filled night, seems there was no air conditioning. Our wait time for a table was excellent at 15 minutes, but service was horribly slow, time to get our meal even after we ordered, and my dinner salad came out with the meal instead of a little prior to the meal. My mixed drink was bad, for the price of the drink alone i should notice the flavor of my tequila, but it was so weak i question if there was alcohol in the drink, which never an issue in the Nashville location. Was surprised how few people at the Memphis location stay after eating, in Nashville as the dining people decrease, the dancing & drinking people increase, giving the fun atmosphere lacking at the Memphis location. If you want to visit BB Kings I suggest saving it for the Nashville location!

Author Neva Squires-Rodriguez

This is a fun place to eat. The food is good. The resturaunt always seems to be busy, so give yourself enough time to wait around for a while.

Abbott Clapham

Love this place! Fun to watch the bartenders make all the yummy drinks. Great happy hour and they do happy hour when it rains.

Charles Gause

Great food great entertainment clean Place Pleasant Place Pleasant people to be around I really enjoyed myself are you at home

Martha Fry

Oh my gosh, you have got to go there if you never been. My family went Friday for birthday celebation. I ordered the fried fish and creamed collards greens. It was so yummy. They know how to do this right. My husband kept stealing bites off my plate. He ordered fried chicken which was also good. Son ordered bbq ribs &chicken and daughter ordered poor boy sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. We went around 330 in afternoon. By time we were leaving, restaurant was almost full. If you go, get there early.

Kim Thomas

Loved it!! Good food & great music. The atmosphere was electrifying and full of energy. I recommend this location for good food, fun & music

Ali Egan

One of the most lively places to eat around Beale. The service and food are great! Live music is decent.

Floyd Funk

Suggest you. make a reservation although we didn't and before we could even order at the bar we got called and seated. Try to snag a seat where you can see the band, especially from the second floor. The band there the night we went was amazing. People were singing along, dancing and having a good time. The drinks are reasonable and exciting. Food is plenty. The nachos are a VERY large portion. Service for such a busy place is excellent. How the staff hears anyone is amazing. So make a reservations, order your drinks, snag a good table and enjoy. There is also a small cover charge.

_ Alecator _

Great staff, great music, great food, great drinks... definitely one of the best bars in the city.

Gary Madison

Great place to enjoy some really good food and listen to live music. Great vibe. I definitely recommend coming here

Dale Anderson

The bbq was outstanding. Had the pulled pork n tots dish. All I cam say is its more than an appetizer, but that's what they call it.

R Woods

I came here for my first time on vacation visiting Beale Street. I wanted to eat there on a Saturday night but wasn't able to reserve a table online. We walked by Saturday and saw they were about to have a band play. To our surprise, the restaurant had seats available. We paid $7 a piece, not knowing what to expect. We didn't order any food due to being full from dinner elsewhere. I ordered a Memphis margarita and a few local Ghost River beers. The margarita had a good flavor but was not very strong in my opinion (couldn't taste any alcohol). The beer was really good as I love a smooth amber craft beer. Our replenishment of our drinks was a bit slow but the waiter was friendly (and busy). The 1st band came on and was OK. The B.B. King Allstars came next and they were really good. It gave me a new respect for Blues music. I had a fun time and highly recommend visiting here if you get the chance!

Marsha Robertson

Visiting friend in Columbus. Tells me these are the best ribs in town. I have no reason to think otherwise. Wood smoked taste in every bite. Nice selection of sauces. Locally sourced, humanely treated, grass fed, organic. Ace of cups cool bar next door has a patio, eat inside, or just take it home.

Damon C

Had a GREAT time! Live band was excellent...kids loved it. I feel like the family really experienced the blues at this place. Things to note: This is downtown and parking costs $$$. I paid $25 to get close, but found out there was a spot for $20 that was closer. Also, there is a $5 cover charge per person so be ready to drop some money before getting entertained. Although it's all worth it!!

LaCreisha Kennedy

The food has always been delicious every time we visit. We have no complaints at all. We went on a Saturday and the wait time wasn’t bad. The staff members were very friendly and attentive. While at the table, we ordered and listened to the great band on stage. When the food cam out it was hot and very fresh. Most definitely get the ribs you won’t be disappointed!!!! Beware of the cover charge to get in on certain evenings.

Chunky Munky

Awesome experience for my son's 10th birthday. The server has been awesome, especially after another guest accidentally spilled a drink on me. However the ladies room & gift shop attendants were super rude.

Denise Bradley

Music was awesome, and the chicken wings were good. We got there a bit early (about 4:30pm), and were able to get seats close to the stage. I imagine the talent of the musicians drew in the crowds.

robert mcwha

We a little bit of an issue with seating. But that was fixed immediately. Food and entertainment was great. There's a cover to get in. Some of the best jazz I've heard.

Liquidest Ocelot

Great feel to the place. Pay a cover charge as you go in, only five dollars. Good was tasty. My one issue was I was facing away from the stage so had to keep turning round to see the acts. But great music nonetheless.

Metro Cust

Very nice the singing was great my mom would have loved to see this Place and if she was still with us she would be here her all favorite blues.the Waitress was so nice and everybody in the club was beautiful.I give it my blessing to keep it going.oh u know the food got a. thumbs up.from Mrs P.going bk to chicago tomorrow but this is my h ome town and will be back if God will.THANK U ALL. FROM B.B.KING BLUES CLUB IN MEMPHIS. ENJOY!!!!!!

Tab Davis

Salad was perfect. I wish I had gotten the nachos. Drinks are a little light though.

Cynthia P

If it wasn’t that the food was decent, they’d get even less. Our server was very nice but over-tasked. The music was incredibly loud and unfortunately not very good. They have a cover charge which is even more of a rip off. BB King would turn over in his grave to know his name was being used to promote such poor quality.

Peggy Braam

Had the pulled pork platter with beans and coleslaw, wonderful. The band "Memphis Jones" was playing the night I was there, loved them. Friendly staff and good service.

Monica Prear

The place was alive and jumping. Music spectacular. Food was good and plentiful I got my monies worth. The staff was friendly and attentative. I look forward to coming back.

Dellcine Brown

I'm not from here but when I get a chance to pass through Memphis Tennessee I always have to go by B.B. Kings Club. It's number one the atmosphere is always on pont there they will make sure that you have fun and the food is good also.

Larissa Dobbeleare

Went here on recommendations from locals and from online reviews. Should have really paid attention to the online reviews. One piece of catfish with 6 fried shrimp was a Southern fried dinner for $22. The shrimp and grits had no flavor at all........I've had better in Kansas City where I'm from. You could tell that several items were just prepackaged. Had to pay a cover for a band I didn't even care about and they were good, just extremely loud. Waitress had to yell at us to take our order and then hardly checked on us. She was more concerned with people who were drinking.

Kim Weaver

Excellent food, excellent service! Will recommend to anyone... The best BBQ sauce I've ever had!

Elizabeth Justus

Live music was fabulous, food was incredible!! We got the pork nachos and ribs with mac n cheese. Best ribs I've ever eaten!! Pork on the nachos was also realllly good!

Susan B

Awesome, hard to visit if you want to talk, but great music and food.

Jennifer Huffine

Just went here on Tuesday night atmosphere was fun and it was pretty packed at 7pm. I was disappointed that you have to pay a cover charge if your having a meal. We declined to go the previous night because of that. I understand that you have live music but we were only there to eat and go. Would be nice if they credit you if your staying only for dinner. The fried pickles were amazing and the ribs were delicious. Howevere you guys need to jazz up your sides. Don't get me wrong I love bushes beans but I was expecting homemade. Didn't try the coleslaw but my boyfriend didn't like it. Music was pretty good enjoyed a couple songs while we were there.

Jodie Kelley

The food is fabulous. Portions are huge, so bring your appetite. I recommend the shrimp and grits, but everything we have tried has been excellent.

Diana Bate

Fantastic food. And just listened to Memphis Jones. A great band. I'm. A girl from Wales. U/k.

Jennifer Cabibi

Food was great. Our waiter Michael was awesome. The only thing that bugged me was the $10 cover charge per person that we paid to get in bc the band only played about 6 songs in the 2 hours we were there then they finished and we were done by the time the next band was taking the stage.

Richard Hummel

Awesome band....Memphis Jones, great Gumbo and Catfish. Just what we were looking for in the home of R&B.

Kasia D

Oh my, I am not sure where to start... We LOVE MUSIC and visiting this original venue was a MUSIC to our ears. The show and performance truly stood up to its name.

Timoteo Law

'm not from Memphis and I thought I knew what good BBQ was. Then I had a rack of ribs from this joint. This was better than fall off the bones ribs. I think I was able to actually lick the meat off the bones. oh my gosh. IT WAS SO TENDER and delicious. I can't wait to return. Then one of the locals said there is another rib joint on the same street that's delicious. I can't believe anything is better than BB Kings spot at this point.

Megan Benson

The hype around this place is justified. The food was great and the live music was equally impressive. We had the ribs, pulled pork, and chicken carbonara - all of which were excellent.

Tyler Schellie

This was my first stop in Memphis. Me and the group each tried one of the platters. I got the ribs and chicken. What can i say the environment brought me back in time to that old bluesy rock era with live music and good cocktails, the food portions were huge! And honestly the best BBQ Ribs ive ever had. If I make my way to Memphis again this will definitely be a must stop. The staff seemed eager to help and kept the drinks full. Easily one of my favorite locations in Memphis.

Mike Brown

Best venue on Beale St. I had the baby back bbq ribs and pulled pork tater tots, fantastic! Great house band too!

Darice Bowman

We ate dinner here. Our meals were great. Ribs, Chicken, slaw and baked beans. Dessert of white choc. Bread pudding was out of this world. Food was delicious, servers were very attentive. Music was great BB King All Star Band . I highly recommend this place,

Duane Arnold

Great food. Great price. Great music. The King Bs were brilliant. Memphis Jones was outstanding. The lessons of music from Memphis in between the songs makes for a unique experience.

Jdeo B

So so ribs, and they were the best part. It was disappointing. Service was friendly, though they got the order wrong twice. The place looks like it would be fun for drinks and live music. Unfortunately, at the time we went there was no live music playing and the food was mediocre at best. If it's just for food, especially for ribs, I have found much better places in Memphis.

Zenzele Adande Stewart

Live blues band played. Genuine horn section. Good vibes. food is southern American so I enjoyed some catfish nuggets and Cole slaw. Drinks were nice and not watered down. Would definitely come back.

Mike Russo

Outstanding dinner. Then walk downstairs for some great music. Can't beat it.

William Delgadillo

For food, drinks and the music, this is the place to stop on Beale Street. We started off with the debris tater tots and the debris was excellent. Doc Fangas was playing so we settled in for the god music. We were about to leave when they said they would do another hour-long set, so we ordered the shrimp-n-grits and were very glad we stayed for a fantastic meal and more music.

april robinson

If you love great food and music, this is the place. This was my second time at BB King's and we had a wonderful time. The food and service were excellent. I ordered the ribs which fell right off the bones. Normally, I don't do dry rub because of too much seasoning but these were perfect for my taste. Our server was very attentive and made sure that we had what we needed and our drinks were replenished. The live band, Kings Beez, was awesome. We were a little tired but refused to leave before their set was over. There was a $5 cover for the entertainment but it was well worth it. If ever back in the area, I will be returning to BB King's Blues Club.

Aiyana Walker

The music drew me in and the rest didn’t disappoint! Cover charge increases from $5 to $10 at night or maybe it’s a weekend thing. Once I heard the band it was well worth it. Went on a Saturday night, it was loud and it was crowded as expected but we were seated right away. The lady up front wasn’t personable to customers but maybe it was the stress of a busy night. The rest of the staff made up for it! Ordered ribs and pulled pork.. the food gave the music a run for its money on being the best thing about this place! Meat fell off the bone clean before your could pull a rib away and the pork was delicious on its own but was brought to an even better level with their sauce. I’d choose the bbq here over some places I’ve been to in Kansas City. I wasn’t expecting the food to be so good- that kind of flavor doesn’t happen on accident. The waitress did a great job even on a busy night. The BAND. Amazing. You could see all ages and walks of life enjoying the music thoroughly. The sax, the bass, and that singer!! There was much more talent there than I realized would be; it was my favorite of the whole strip that night.

lynda schneider

EXCELLENT food. Perfect spot for people watching if you sit outside on their patio. I got the chicken and ribs combo plate. WAY TOO much to eat -- so be hungry when you go there. I thought the chicken was better than the ribs, but was happy with all of it. Price was decent, too, considering the location.
