Really enjoyed the music BUT...one night couldn't eat there cuz my son is 20yrs old and they serve alcohol. But next night we got him other food and he stayed with friends to find out we couldn't get drinks there cuz they don't have a liquor license. So not really sure besides the music that u can hear without going in why u would go there. Very disappointed and ordered water :-(

I'm a huge country fan so I was super excited to visit this establishment the Bounty hunters were playing and they were awesome. However weird setup on one side they would only serve beer and wine & on the other side due to a liquor license you had to go to the other side for liquor weird setup. But it was devided by bar stools and chicken wire so at least you still got to enjoy the band which again was great I would recommend it

This bar is VERY country. Drink menu is fine, standard beer and liquor drinks. Open in the off season and late, which is good. If you aren't into live country music don't come here.

The place is right out of a movie... cage around the drummer so he doesn't get hit by flying beer bottles (in theory)... same with a cage on the side for spectators/patrons. In the bar they serve only beer... and just one kind. The tip bell is a 5 lb stainless steel monster that is flung against a reinforced ceiling with such gusto as to scare the livin' bejesus out you the first time you hear it! And the band was awesome... great guitar riffs and voices in harmony! What a kick this place is!

The Bowery was an interesting place. I walked into a crowded bar. Got in line for a drink put up the number of fingers of beers I needed. No question of what kind of beer. They delivered the number of draft beers. The music was terrific. The atmosphere was good. Kind of a no nonsense kind of place.

The Bowery is where the country group Alabama played before stardom. This venue has a house band that loves country and beer. Never seen members of a band before, that can down a beer in a second and consume so many and remain able to play. They keep their listeners engaged and encouraged to drink a beer. If you have never been to the Bowery, chances are you don't drink, don't care for bars or you haven't been to downtown Myrtle Beach. Great burgers! Watered down beer. The atmosphere is always fun with different faces each night.

My favorite live music venue in Myrtle Beach. It's a redneck Haven but everyone can enjoy themselves! Beers are only $2.75 a piece and you never really know exactly what it's going to be but you know it's beer and that's all you need to know! The rich history of that place is all around you and very much alive on a good Saturday night :-)

Best burger I ever had but the fries were horrible. The manager took care of the fries on the bill when we told him ourselves about it. When I mentioned it to the waitress she acted like she didnt care that we had bad food that's why we had to tell the manager directly. The three star is because of the waitress

Came here last time we were in MB and loved it. One female server is extremely pushy and obnoxious, but the guys are great. House band is very good and take tip requests. They only serve a house beer or wine, but I liked it.

Walked in after looking at a pretty decent menu and I was sadly greeted by a small stand by the front door filled with confederate flagged merchandise as if they want you to get the message of no black/colored customers.

So glad we found this place as our evening hangout while on vacation. We came here almost every night after the kids got comfy in their room. Band plays about every night and are really good. They cover a lot of songs. Food is good as well. Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Went to The Bowery for some drinks and a late lunch. We sat at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender, Russell. The drinks are strong, but not too strong and the food was delicious/what you want from a bar (we had cajun chicken wings, fried mahi, and chili cheese fries). The atmosphere is classic and historic and you can smoke inside!

The entrance fee was $3. Find a seat fast to relax (you can’t stand at the front end of the bar). The main bar has one beer and it’s $2.75. The servers are on point. If your beer is low, they’ll ask if you want another and they are quick to deliver. Seriously, just put up your fingers how many you need and that’s it. It’s CASH ONLY here. “The Bounty Hunters” band were really good! The bathrooms are only two stalls and tiny, but cleaner compared to most bars. They do allow smoking indoors, but it’s not a smoke fest. The only thing that turned me off was the server dumping an ashtray onto the ground instead of the garbage can. Cheap beer, country atmosphere, and a good time!

Good Cajun chicken wings, fries and house brewed beer by the mug. Beer was 2.75 per glass mug. The live music was excellent. Would recommend the food beer and country band entertainment to others 21 or older. Nightly entertainment!

Located on beach side and plenty of paid parking within walking distance. The people were very friendly. This bar has been here for many years. I had a screwdriver to drink my favorite. Stop by and enjoy and they have bands at night.

The Bowery! The club that Alabama put on the map! I sat in with the band in 1978 as they were in between drummers! More simple times then! Draft beer was 75 cents! The bathrooms were just disgusting as I remember! Was there a couple weeks then I was with a house band at Amvets in Surfside Beach! Jeff Cook would come by on Sundays and sit in with us as the bowery didn't have a band that night! Great memories! Made 33 bucks a night then!

We ate here during bike week, I got the BLT which was good, it was crowded for a small place (but we expected it to be) the drink I got was in a small cup and watered down but that's the only thing I didn't like. Our waiter was so sweet. Somewhere I would eat again.

This is a come as you are casual bar. I wanted to go there because that's where Alabama first started out. We had a nice time. Corn Dog and Fried Pickles were great. The Margaritas are pretty good too. Very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go there again. The prices are reasonable too!

Great country/rock music, the lead singer looks like he's a West Virginia moonshine runner, but he's a phenomenal guitar player. Cheap beer, cramped atmosphere, a real dive. The music makes it certainly worth the admission.

I only gave them one star because I have to select a star in order to rate. However, they’re not even worthy of one star. After walking along the beach, I was looking for a nice place to grab a bite to eat. Stopped here and left within minutes. When I walked in, everyone brushed past a few times before someone said “sit wherever you like.” I found a place to sit with only one menu on the table (I had a party of 2). The same waitress who told us to sit anywhere passed us several times and said nothing. A family of four walked in and sat down. She grabbed four menus, passed our table, went to their table and began discussing the menu. I hate making things about race so I’ll just say the service was poor. I will never go back and I will never recommend them to anyone. We opted to eat at Moe’s Moons... great choice, great service, great food! Also go to Big Mike’s Soul Food which is nearby and was amazing!

The atmosphere of the Bowery was everything one could ask for! The Bounty Hunters were comical, fun and had great voices singing some great classics. This is ALL CASH bar with ONE type of beer offered (Bowery beer-that we agreed tasted watery). However, beside it is Duffys a restaurant and bar that you are aloud to walk over get liqour drink it there and THEN go back into the Bowery. Overall a good place at first! When starting the night out the band announces they don't stop singing or close until there's no more guest... We were shocked when at 11 the night ended abruptly taking peoples full drinks and and just pushing people out. So sadly that stuck with us more than the short lived band experience.
