We were all dressed up. They claim Malibus 3 clubs 1 cover deal but DO not fall for it, i have a video to prove their false marketing and rudeness, this is coming from an honest Google guide level 7.

Online it says ALL LADIES get in free on Saturdays. They should have said that it only applied before 10:30. we payed the cover fee and went in, but all of the DJs were absolute garbage. If you want to spend $15-$20 to get in a bar, just go across to señor frogs where there's at least good music

Literally the worst night club I have ever been too. For starters they only accept cash even if you live in myrtle beach they still charge you to get in. Second, I've seen almost every black person get denied entry into the club. Even if they make it in, they get hounded by staff and get treated horribly. Third, I was outside in the designated drinking area for the Club and a hot headed bouncer decided to he macho and told me I had to down my 7 dollar drink or he was gonna throw it out. I can go on but you get the point. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLUB RACIST!!!!!

I do enjoy this place but the security and the manager are very Incomprehensible, they think they are God when they are making "$10" a hour hahaha be nice to your customers because we were there to have a good time and spend money. They judge you way to fast.

This place doesn’t even deserve a one star. Rude as hell staff!! Definitely racism at its finest! I arrived with two of my friends (one of which is white) we got there at 11:03pm. The cashier allowed my white friend to enter free of charge. And remind you, we were right behind her! The cashier LIED and said my friend showed her “Coastal ID” and that’s how she got in. My friend doesn’t even attend Coastal so we knew that was a BOLD FACE LIE. My friend said the cashier told her she was only 3 minutes past 11. So she was good to go in. So, I was just going to pay my 10 bucks after discussing the matter. This cashier SNATCHED the money out of my hand. I snatched my money right back from her ugly ass! The cashier also LIED on my friend stating that my other friend (who was black) hit her. Security chased us down at Broadway. We told them to run the cameras back and they wouldn’t because cashier LIED. Anyways, long story short we ended up leaving which was fine! We ended up still enjoying the night and I was HAPPY to spend my money elsewhere. This place WILL NEVER receive my service. I don’t support racism! Rude Staff and heard it wasn’t worth it anyway!

The club inside is awesome! Lots of beautiful lady's and they are not scared to shake what they got. However I took us 4 different try's just to pass the rediculous dress code. Girls can wear whatever they want but God forbid you are wearing basketball shorts on a hot summer night.

Drinks are way over priced and they don't believe in drink specials. The DJ could have done a little better but he was still good! I didn't like that it took forever and a day to get served by a bartender but I went during some frat reunion party so they were getting served before me anyway but I felt discriminated against after waiting a hour for a beer at the bar counter with cash in hand...

Place is filled with a bunch of underage kids running around. It’s an 18 & up bar. Drinks were decently priced.

This place is atrocious, people only go if they are blackout drunk, super strict about everything and literally turned down girls behind us for not showing enough skin. Workers are mean and give zero care towards courtesy. Drinks were way overpriced and not worth going at all. Never coming again look elsewhere. Tell your friends it sucks. Hope owners see this

I'm very dissatisfied with how you say their is a dress code yet only follow it to your staff's discretion. My guests were very well dressed however because her husband's pants appeared to be of a material they did not like they would not allow him in. Us girls paid the cover while he went home to change .When entering we saw lots of woman in spandex, leggings, one had a dress to where it was so short her privates were noticeable, another wore a dress where the strings covered her body parts only. I do beleive this does break the written dress code posted. We also had no idea they closed in an hour. To be charged full cover and not advised of closing time, especially being locals. Getting a drink at the bar was a joke. The bartenders would look and walk away. This was a big waste of our night and we will never return nor advise any one to attend.

The club has a great setup! That's where the good part stops. No drink specials. The worst DJ on earth. They don't like request and play old tier 7 hip hop. No new music at all!!! Get hammered before visiting.

I travel the country and go to bars everywhere I go and from coast to coast north to south this is by far the worst bar I've ever been to. The bass is so high that you cant hear the music and it literally makes your ear drums vibrate. 25 dollars for 2 poorly made mix drinks is rediculous.

i liked it when i went with my friends a few years ago. my bachelor party is coming up and sounds like i wont be going there. Especially since i see a trend of racism there. I'm sorry for those who went through it. It wasn't like that years back but maybe it was and i didnt realize it.

They recently had a makeover which got rid of Boca ( which was the best one out of all 3) and they combined with Club Oz. I've been coming to Malibu for 6 years, and they haven't changed the playlist AT ALL. It's the same ole same ole, and only good for tourists at this point. Think of your locals and get some new DJs and drink specials and maybe y'all would survive the winter a little better .

DECEITFUL. For Myrtle Beach location. Don't believe the hype. They say 3 for $15...it is really $15 for 2. The manager said that the $15 includes Oz, Malibu's Surf Shop, and Wet Willies. Wet Willies is already a free cover and they dont have music. It is just drink and food. It isn't expensive but it is deceitful. The music is only decent in Malibu's though Just don't go looking for 3 conjoined clubs. You will not find it.

Had a discrepancy and misunderstanding about the dress code. Was sent to the manager to discuss the misunderstanding and the manager was rude, short tempered, and would not offer any information to help us better understand. We were turned away with the flick of the hand and plenty of sarcasm. That guy needs to drink less on the job and definitely shouldn't take him so seriously. An anger management class wouldn't help either. Should I return to Myrtle Beach I will not revisit this club.

I’m from out of town and looking for a good night life experience. First night we went here it was okay the music is from the 2000’s with a MAX 2 songs from 2018-2019, but it was our first time there so it was an okay throw back for us. The second night we went they played THE EXACT SAME PLAYLIST, how!? The drinks aren’t strong enough to make up for the poor dj. The staff isn’t friendly which wouldn’t matter to me if at minimum the music was good.

So, this is connected with Oz next door. So, went two separate nights. The bartenders pour extremely weak drinks. The music and DJ were terrible. It was oldies then a random 90s song, then a random pop song from early 2000s. They also play he Cupid shuffle 12 times an hour. The two clubs play the same list, in the same order. The crowd is usual drunk younger crowd, and lacks diversity. In past years, Malibu's was amazing. But now it is very painful to even walk into the establishment. There needs to be A LOT of restructuring to become interesting again.

Drinks are way overpriced. The DJs also dont realize the age of their clientele. They play music that would trend towards a crowd of 35 year olds as opposed to a younger crowd (which is where you're intended audience should be)

6/30/2018 - HOTHEAD BOUNCER ,, I’m in the club dancing and this girl asked me to get on the stage and dance with her and you can see in the photos that they advertise that people are on the stage so I told her yes and was told by one bouncer to get off so I did and I was sitting on the edge of it (as many others were doing) and the trying to look tough white dude comes from the side and pushes me off and I looked at him and told him to chill out then he gets to my ear and says to me that if I say anything to him he’ll “knock my lights out” and after that many people got on the stage and I was getting stared down the entire night after that. Good atmosphere, terrible bouncing staff.

STAFF IS RACIST, My two black friends and I drove three hours to myrtle beach to come here for labor day weekend. We waited in the LINE FOREVER and when we got to the door they disrespected both of my black friends. They cut us off and wouldn't even let us speech, long story short security had to escort us out because we about got frisky with the fta boy manager. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!

We left within an hour despite the absurd cost. Terrible dj's that have no idea how to hype a crowd or play any decent music (unless you're absolutely wasted), poor crowd that has no idea what they are doing let alone how to dance, ridiculous covercharge and drink prices; everything is ridiculous. Do not go to this club: it is on par with Senor Frogs with its garbage.

What an amazing spot! If you want a place to go and have fun, this is the place to go! Drinks are pricey and there is a cover but it's well worth it! Definitely cheaper than New York or Miami! The upstairs Martini Bar is chill and you have a view of the entire dance floor. Order from the bearded bartender upstairs!

I've been to this club a few times and always have a hard time at entrance for nothing. This recent weekend I decided to step out to this nightclub, after waiting in a long ass line for about 20 minutes I get to the door and the manager runs out and approaches me saying "YOU CANT COME IN". I asked politely what for and he replied "GO ON". I asked several other employees who worked for the club was I violating the dress code or what was his reason and they replied there was nothing wrong with my dressing I had on fitted jeans fitted shirt etc. SO I ADVISE YOU GUYS IF YOU ARE IN THE MYRTLE BEACH AREA AND YOU DO NOT SUPPORT RACISM PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND MALIBUS SURF BAR BECAUSE THEY CLEARLY HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIFIC TYPE OF CROWD THEY WANT IN THERE WHICH IS WHITES

Listen. I’ve lived down here for 3 years now and this music has not changed since my very first time visiting. Y’all need better DJs that will play a VARIETY of music. I’m sick of songs starting off normal and then being screwed up with the fist pump, dub step, etc foolishness. JUST PLAY THE DAMN SONG. Drinks are HIGH AF for what idk because they’re watered down. Major improvements need to happen to this place. If EVERY review talks about how trash the music, drinks, and security practices are then some changes need to be made and FAST. Only thing keeping you alive are the tourists.

They do NOT want black men inside!!!!! I traveled to SC for Spring Break April 4-7 2019. After asking around our resort and asking locals, this place was suggested for the drinks and music. The bouncer asked for our ID and after saying I could go in, he looked at my date (also African American) and asked him to pull up his shirt. I was guessing that was the policy for all males, until he stated he can’t go in. I asked why and was never given an explanation. I waited for a group of white males to arrive and the bouncer never asked them to lift their shirt to expose their abdomens. Very weird but we took our money elsewhere. My date had on a Polo shirt that was fitted and jeans ON HIS WAIST with Bally casual shoes. I don’t think he was out of dress code.

Rude!! My wife and I are both mixed (black and white) we couldn't get a drink from the bar to save our lives. I am one to think that racism was dead for the most part but after seeing people that were white come up to the bar clearly after us get served before us made me think. Then after I politely tried to talk to a bartender, she looked at me without acknowledging and then waited on another couple and never came back.

Had a really good time here. Went during Spring Break and had a blast. The place itself is pretty big and on some nights include attached club Boca & a bar. Music is good! There's a good crowd every night. Closes at 3am so that extra hour is super nice!
