This is generally a good place but it is way too cramped. The layout does not really help. It seems as though they sell more tickets then they can fit in the venue. I attended a show where everyone was sitting awkwardly close to each other, in uncomfortable positions that restricted any movement during the show. You can order food at this place while watching the show, which is nice but there is not enough room to actually eat it or put it on the table properly.

Seating is horrendous. All the seats are facing the wrong direction from the stage. Staff is completely clueless, like it's a new event for them every night. Drinks are on the expensive side, but potent. Comedians are usually pretty good though, making it a good time.

Too crammed in to be comfortable, decor is not pleasant (the "chandelier" almost looks plastic). It's sad because the Victorian design of the inside of the building is quite beautiful. Its dark, very dark, not pleasant. It looks like a seedy mafia strip joint. Sundays they have a comedy improv of sorts that lasts two hours... which seemed one hour too long. (An intermission would be nice). We were there for a friend and unfortunately they put her on next last. I've been to alot of these comedy joints over the years so I'm drawing off of experience. Im thinking its the cramped feel that bothered me the most. Workers were friendly so that's why I gave them a 3. Place just needs a little TLC I think...

This place has a pretty good environment, always has a great selection of comics. They bring in some pretty big Talent pretty frequently. Even the local Comics are really solid that they get from Boston Providence area. They serve food and it's not bad with comparable pricing on the drinks you won't be disappointed. It's surprising but the servers are pretty efficient on getting drinks to you and your food out. I'm a two thumbs upper for the comedy connection

We Rhode Islanders are spoiled having this place in our backyard. Oftentimes big comics will stop off here on their way to bigger- venue shows, and we get to have a smaller room experience with them, at a fraction of the cost. I've been going to this place for years, and it's always a good time, whether I'm seeing local guys and gals, or legends like Dave Attell.

Small club so you can always see the performer except... many of the seats are turned sideways and are very close together. I don't mind family style seating, but it's really very cramped in a lot of spots. Food service can be quite slow, and food quality is OK. Staff is very nice and ticket prices are reasonable. Careful you don't park on the street in ticket zone (check signs), but there are free lots to use.

Its ok....Servers are very attentive which is great when ya want drinks or food in the middle of a Show. But they run around at the end of the show cashing EVERYONE out.....that it ruins the last 15 to 20 minutes of the show......very disappointing. Gotta be a better way to do this....make drinks even numbers.....$8 $9 $10 and so on Pay AS you get them......she tells you total after you order and leaves to get drinks Come back and get stated money NO CREDIT CARDS.....people hate thar I Hate my Show being ruined because someone didn't come prepared for a show that doesn't take Credit

Very near the water, the club has discreet curb appeal. Clean inside. Quaint. Bar on one side, stage the other, tables in between. As a note, if sitting at the bar one must turn 180 degrees to watch the show. Show had three comedians, which overall provided good value for the ticket price.

This place was once great - but now has the worst staff I’ve ever seen. I paid cover week after week to support the local comedian community. Hundreds if not thousands spent here with pleasure until now. I battle mental health issues and have socially awkward tendencies so laughing loud should be acceptable. NOT HERE anymore. The bouncers are also physically aggressive, the bartenders don’t know anything and the service just isn’t there. Try getting kicked out, publicly humiliated while being physically touched without consent or reason...oh yea and then forced to pay the bar tab for a drink you didn’t drink. Way to go comedy connection.

Went to early show on Saturday. Was packed with happy people. Had the s'mores Martini pizza and cracked fries. It was all well prepared and delicious, better than average bar food for sure. Comedian was absolutely hilarious too.

Pretty disappointed on this day haven’t been looked at for over a half hour in a room that’s not full. Usually this is a great place for customer service. Update: Hour later I’m asked if I want another beer. Very disappointed in the service today.

Great venue to go catch some laughs! They bring in some pretty big names in stand up comedy too. Very intimate atmosphere, as there is not one bad seat in the house. They also have a nice selection of drinks and some food too. Make sure to try the "crack fries"; they call them that for a reason! Highly recommended to bring a date.

Comedy connection is getting better every year I come and visit! No need to plan, just come down on a random Friday or Saturday and you will be amazed at just how much you can laugh! Warning for those who decide to sit up front! You will be picked on by the comedians, but it's all in good fun! :)

Had a great time. Funny MC, opener struggled a bit but the other and headliner were funny. Some recycled material from the comic but not the venus fault. Went to the sister bar after the show, they had decent drink specials and a decent menu. We had the avocado toast which was quite good.

Always a great night at the Comedy Connection. Even when I have never heard of the comedians I laugh and have a good time. Yes the seating is cramped but I think that adds to the show. I'm not sure I'm supposed to do this but if you have dinner next door at the Black Duck it makes for a perfect easy night. Get there early find a spot in the lot have dinner and a few drinks absolutely perfect!

Very tight space for a comedy club. Would have preferred a series of long bar tables parallel to the stage as opposed to perpendicular dining tables. Staff were quite friendly and very efficient given the large crowd size. Cannot say enough good things about them! Drinks and food were, not surprisingly, very limited, over priced, and not of great quality, but what do you expect at stand up clubs? Location was a little sketchy, but I guess that's how you keep down overhead costs. Wouldn't mind returning for the right act. Just get there early as seating is a free for all.

Always a good time. Seats are at tables all close together, but they do a good job of not packing the place to the point where someone is sitting on your lap. They have your average bar food fare, but the staff is very attentive, and we've been able to see a couple big name people for less than the cost of a dinner out. Makes for a great night out/date night.

I saw Christopher titus there, awesome show. Small theater which means your right up with the performer so they are more likely to engage with the crowd. Service was good. Get there early or even buy tickets before hand, sit up front so they don't put unwanted people at your table, because it fills up quick, not their fault. The only real complaint I had was we ordered the fully loaded nachos, dont make my mistake.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Comedy Connection. I love that they have a full bar and food service - truly a great way to enjoy a show. Lots of beers on tap, mixed drinks, and a bar-food menu (including mozzarella triangles, fried pickles, and pizza). Also, since it’s kind of like a large restaurant with a stage at one end (opposite the bar), there isn’t a bad seat in the house! And it’s great for groups, as long as you get there early (it fills up quickly!!). Of course, make sure you tip your servers/bartenders well because on a busy show (we saw Samuel J Comroe, of America’s Got Talent fame), they’re working their butts off. Very cool place to catch some very cool comedians.

If you have friends that have never seen stand-up comedy, take them! Too many people I talk to have never been to a show, and the Comedy Connection is a perfect place for first timers! It's cozy, great acoustics, great wait staff and I've never had a bad time there. Even the shows with comics you've never heard of are worth going to. Don't make your decision on whether or not you've heard of the act before! I will give you 10 dollars if you don't have an awesome time. Don't heckle the comedians, I don't care how funny you think you are or how offended you are. Laugh if it makes you laugh, if it doesn't make you laugh, just don't laugh. Don't start yelling to the comedian about it or you will be verbally destroyed. Or do, it's a blast to watch comedians destroy hecklers!

Had a great time and my girlfriend loved it. Good atmosphere and recommend it for a good night out. Drinks are about 10 bucks for mixed large sized glasses and the show was not to short but not to long. You get a chance to meet the comic's and some take picture's. Great ticket prices and a wonderful thing to do on a cold New England night.

The Comedy Connection has been in East Providence for years and is a great venue. Bring your date and laugh your $&@! off! They have table service. Great acts all the way thru the night. They have two shows on the weekends - small space with shared tables in some spots. Thursday is a great deal $5 for 10 local comedians.

The security at the door feels a bit excessive, but that's only an issue when entering. Once inside, the service is friendly and quick. The comedians are always hilarious! When leaving my stomach was sore from all of the laughing.

Fantastic venue - just the right size to feel intimate without being claustrophobic. Drink prices aren't punitive like many comedy clubs. When I'm back in Providence, definitely stays on the list.

What a great, intimate venue with probably not a bad seat in the house...saw Rafinha Bastos for $22 with Chris Millhouse as an opener and what a deal...the bathrooms are tiny and drink menu limited, not sure how the food is but I definitely wanna come back that’s for sure

Definitely fun and different! Our seats were on the side even though we made reservations, that was pretty lame. I was also turned off by the fact that you could not order your own drinks at the bar unless you sat at it for the entire performance. Then the service at the table is tremendously slow and convoluted.

Always a good show here. I've seen some more famous comedians and some locals here and they're all excellent. The clubs intimate atmosphere makes it a unique experience compared to shows at large halls of hundreds or thousands of people.

Very upsetting to call a place and check if tickets were sold out 15min before the show and be told that they were not sold out and that we could go in, only to realize when we got there that we would get stopped by the security people and be told that we could not go in because they were SOLD OUT. Really, come on now. Just communicate a little.

I was told their computer was not working, so I had to write my name and phone number on a little piece of paper, securing tickets for tomorrow night's 10:30 Nikki Glaser show. I asked if I'll need a receipt for tomorrow night when I get there, and they said that I don't, as my name will be on the list to get in. I'd be much more comfortable with some kind of receipt, or actual tickets, but they couldn't give me either tonight. So this is what I had to settle for to see the show!....I give Comedy Connection a 5-star rating. Since I was concerned about not getting a receipt or tickets last night, I gave a 3-star rating to defer giving a rating. I apologize to Cory if a 3-star rating is viewed as a negative rating! I have been enjoying shows here since the early 90's. It's a great comedy club!
