Overpriced drinks, bartender snapped my card in half with no apologizes, ball pit staff was miserable and lost multiple party’s phones, bouncer doesn’t let you outside with water. DJ was ok, played 1-3 current songs, all the rest were throwbacks. Young crowd so you’d think they’d play something more “now” (dance floor wasn’t moving the entire night). Cool place to go but definitely wouldn’t pay for anything. Arrive drunk and bring water.

Concourse Dance Bar is a super fun and lively environment. The dance floor and the bar area is very large, which makes it easy to navigate. There are tables for people to sit at if they need a dance break, and a cute lounge area upstairs. Also Concourse has a ball pit, what more could you ask for?!?!?!

It's a new year's eve and I'm a visitor to Philly, someone referred me to the place and told me it's a high class place, but I got treated very bad just because I don't have tickets and it was sold out, I did bought 3 tickets out of the street 2 worked for my friends and mine didn't work, and I did offered to pay cash, but the security unfortunately was an extra rude to me, like it's a new year and I did offered to pay cash plus I am a guest, I drove hours to get there. That crew will give a bad name to the place, I do understand they are doing their job in wrong way, but it would be nice of them if they allowed me to talk to a manager, anyway this is how I started my new year, rain cold and got treated very low class in that place. Hope my message will reach to the manager and the owner. Happy New Year to you.

It's a club with a slide and a ball pit. Bars worked pretty quickly. If you're going in the ball pit don't bring in your wallet and phone. You won't get them back until after Tuesday (if at all) if you lose them in there.

If I could give no stars at all I would. I was peacefully sitting on a table in the entrance way to the restroom waiting for my husband to arrive who was parking as I was walking into the restroom. The short period of time I was waiting for him to park I was approached by a few bouncers and asked to leave, I calmly and politely asked why I was being asked to leave and wasn’t given an answer, i tried showing the bouncers a photo I took of myself in the mirror in the text message that I had sent to my husband letting him know I was hiding waiting for him and asking him if he had found parking, they wanted nothin to do with my proof I was just patiently sitting and grabbed my arm pulling me off of the table that was pretty high, I lost my footing and fell into the door jam. I now not only have bruises from that but bruises on my left arm from them grabbing my arm. I was very upset not knowing what I did wrong and never received an answer. My husband let the situation go until today when my bruises were getting visibly worse. He did not see me escorted out, I did not meet up with him until I was outside of the building where he calmed me down and we left. We were greeted into another establishment by the bouncers with grace and pleasure. Never have I ever gotten kicked out of anywhere before nor acted in such way to be kicked out. Nor was I doing anything that required being handled the way I was. After reading all of the reviews similar to this I am contemplating taking legal action so that this unfortunate situation does not happen to others, men or women. Please please if you choose to go here, proceed with caution. 3/21/2019 - I am responding to your response below, and yes your surveillance would show me walking out because I was in shock for being kicked out. Your surveillance does not show the incident in the bathroom, because your not sound to have surveillance in your bathrooms, correct? Why haven’t you responded to your other complaints here on google reviews? Is it because I have taken things to the next level and have shared my story as many places as possible. Your bouncers are clearly a big problem for your establishment. I would consider new staff if you care about your patrons. How many incidents such as this exact one need to happen for you to see who is telling the truth here? My husband and I are only looking out for the safety of others. Not just from your staff but once they are kicked out you have a vulnerable woman out on the streets of philly alone. Your staff would not even allow me to let my friends and family know I was being escorted out.

Honestly this place has a cool concept but the people that fill the place make it awful. If you’re not freshly 21 and can handle your liquor, don’t go here because you will be irritated all night. Not to mention the amount of lines for everything was ridiculous.. And the woman who is the bathroom attended is very rude and will scream the whole time to everyone in the stalls to hurry up and keep it moving which is very uncomfortable. I get it it’s busy and people need to go but it as a bit much. The service was ok but I’ve had better. The music was ok but not the best and not that much diversity in genres in that area.. Not to mention the amount of people that are just ready to fight for no reason and the over whelming amount of douche bags..... But of course that comes with it of course.. just over all its a lot of fresh 21 year olds who are very immature and it’s not for anyone 24 and older lol... I’m saying 24 because I am lol..

Awesome place. They have a dance floor, 2 large downstairs bars, a BALLPIT (SO COOL), and an upstairs lounge to chill w/ a small bar and cute fancy chairs. This place is a blast. If your only into a college house music feel, this place is definitely not for you. It's 90's and 80's themed music on Saturday's, which obviously brings an older crowd. Go online to make sure your into the music that's playing that night. Regardless, this place is a blast.

I recommend checking this bar out. It has a great atmosphere and if you loved the 80's or 90's you'll absolutely love the music selection/DJ. It definitely is unique to the city area. However, it does have a college frat feel (extremely crowded and a bit dirty) and overpriced drinks. I tried a drink called the pop rocktail ($10) and I can honestly say it was the worst drink I ever had.

From Cali, I came by with coworkers on a Friday...definitely a place to dance and have fun with your friends! go if your looking for a good time, make sure you come ready to vibe, not gonna lie, you should give the energy if you want to have fun, but if you're a wall flower I don't recommend... the place plays classics hip hop, a little rock, a little old town road, not ratchet, just a splash of it, just from a first time in Philly experience so don't mine me

I'm sure it's a great time once the DJ starts his set, but that doesn't happen until 10pm... (Not during the 8-10 "open bar" package deal, fyi ) Until then, you can reminisce by the music videos being played on big screens scattered throughout the club/behind the bars. All in all, a good place for a girls night out!!

Security guard tapped me very aggressively & told me to move & cursed at me . Could of just asked nicely . Also shouldn’t be touching women like that . Then came up to me after & told me i can either stay or party outside . Literally went out of his way to walk allllll the way across the room to try to start with me when he knew he touched me inappropriately. Look at all your reviews . There’s one on here about someone trying to sue you because your security guards are too aggressive. How do you not see a problem with this ? You have psychos working here! Updating this review - the security manager just contacted me to discuss the issue which was very nice of him . He said he will try to figure out who did it & take proper action

Honestly, I'm incredibly disappointed with the service here. I have never written a negative review in my entire life, but I feel very strongly about this place. First of all, my initial experience with this venue was during a big event a few weeks ago. The security were incredibly rude. I know the difference between doing your job and being jerks. My friend who was fully sober was dragged out and fractured a bone (We are considering legal advice soon) My friend does not want to pursue legal action, but I am persuading her to. She has always been a sweetheart, and I was beyond shocked to see her dragged out in such a manner. Her arm still has scratches. In addition, their google hours are completly off. They are not open on Thursdays. I needed to retrieve a jacket and paid far too much to realize it was closed. I am traveling to the Midwest where temperatures are way below freezing at the moment. Not to mention, I am anemic which is going to be a problem. I just wish they would get it together.

Great location and music but the crowd was disgusting never have I been to a bar where the men, wait I’m sorry that giving this crowd even more credit then deserved, I meant little boys were so disrespectful towards women. And when I say disrespectful because all the do is touch women inappropriately and actually back down when and act like p***ys when you ready to knock them out. The crazy part was every single guy in that place was dirty and disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend taking your wife or any women that have morals and like to be respected unless you willing to fight entire club. It’s ashamed besides the thirsty as crowd had a blast, just can’t be in a place along with wife/women ladies because I would catch a case.

While the place itself was nice, I’m frustrated that my iPhone and wallet were both lost/stolen and as they were about to close the staff pushed me and my friend out and we weren’t allowed to look for my wallet on the dance floor. Someone else was yelling that their wallet was stolen so watch out if you come, I believe many are there with that intention to steal.

The music is very mediocre, everyone is so basic its unsettling, and the drinks are way over priced. Literally, every girl in the club was wearing the same outfit, including me which is really making me rethink my wardrobe choices. The ball pit is fun ,the first time you go, but also sort if awkward. Good luck convincing your more sensible friends to go in with you. They do have some cool indoor swings and beanbags. I give it 2 stars cause it seems geared towards a basic/Greek life crowd and that's just not me.

It’s a cool concept but not ideal for the area. It is in a basement of an office building. The only draw of this place is the ball-pit. Other than that this is a cheaply designed place with expensive drinks and a cover. I do not see this place lasting longer than 2 years. If ownership invested more money into this place it would be great.

Very few bars in Philly are worth a visit. I loved this one and especially coz of its offerings. Good drink collection, white balls game, other sport games, good parking definitely makes the place stand out when added to the good music for good clubbing experience. Pretty good crowd and lights.

Some of there bouncers(older white males) are extremely rude and annoying, they assume every young looking girl is under 21 and take IDs even if there ur actual ID and make u go to the police to get them back. Also the bouncers(older white males) tend to get really agressive with poeple of color. Whether it's conscious or unconscious theres definitely some racial profiling going on, I've personally seen a black girl get accused of cutting in line just because someone else pointed in the general direction. Ive seen the same thing happen when a guy slapped my friends butt she pointed in the general direction and the just assumed it was a black guy(it wasn't). Theres just a vibe of a hint of racism (like trump suporter like) here with some of the bouncers. The quality of the music depends on the night and who is djing, most of the time Fridays are pretty cool. The poeple there also are very different depending on the night. Sometimes it can be absolutely amazing it feel like a party at a college with just tons of I've really cool very beautiful attractive people with a perfect 65/45 girls to guys ratio. other times it can suck extremely with a bunch of weird, scraggly, creepy, unkempt 45+ year old men. That try to hit on, follow, and get uncomfortably close to young girls that are just trying to dance. But they again this is one of the very few places in Philadelphia where it's actually a dance bar that's this big I've had great nights at concourse and made out with the five or six (looked like a good idea at the time) girls in a night. Other times I've had a horrible nights were my best friend that's a girl gets her ID taken by the boucers and we have to spend the entire night going to the police and get it back.

I had very horrific experiences at this club. I got interrogated by a security guard for no reason and the bar tender that I ordered a drink from shamed me for my order. Very embarrassing and unfortunate. I will never return because of this abusive service.

It had a really great atmosphere! I love the retro vibe, it reminded me of San Junipero. The top room is nice to chill in with a lot of interesting decorations. I like the dance floor too! Lots of room and great music. My only complaint is that it's way too crowded sometimes, but I'm not sure how that can be helped if it's a place lots of people want to go to.

Definitely a must-go, at least once. There's a slide down to the dance floor, a ball pit, and several bars all in a rather spacious venue. The DJ was hysterical, mixing music from the 80's and 90's with current hits. Drinks can be a bit pricey, but it's a bar in the city so that's to be expected.

This place was awesome! $5 cover, $3 coat check, in and out privilege, good mix of music, and the ball pit is a nice touch. You'll most likely have to wait for the ball pit but they text you so you don't have to stand in line. They are weirdly strict about the bathrooms and wouldn't let me and my girlfriends go in the same stall. You gotta deal with dbag dudes but I think that just comes with the territory. Would def go back.

The bouncers are uneducated. My friend is from South Carolina and is living with me in Philadelphia for his internship this summer and this bar did not let him in because of his out-of-state ID. He had many back up IDs to prove his residency is from South Carolina. He is of age. Bringing my friend to this bar only to be denied was embarrassing. I was trying to show him what philly was like and then to be denied was just unfair. I will never go to this bar again.

This place is great. The reason I’m giving this place a 4 star review is because the music is horrible. The DJs needs to step it up. I can easily get up on the booth and just connect my iPhone and have my playlist get the job done. The transition from song to song is poor. I have been here more than once and from most people that I have interacted the only complaint that had existed was the music being horrible and I have to agree. The songs should transition every minute and a half. If this issue will be addressed this place would get 5 stars all the time. Everything else is perfect. Good atmosphere and very spacious. Drinks are reasonable. Just the music needs some work.

Let's face it, Concourse Dance Bar is for the elderly and drunks. Yes, the drinks are great and the adult ball pit is so much fun! But, the DJ is wack and his music selections were like disco meets RuPaul's Drag race meets Beyonce and then after Donna Summers it's the Migos mixed with the RuPaul's drag race theme song. Very confusing and boring. However, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very kind. Plus, some of the bouncers are hella PHINE (laugh out loud). But, I will not be returning in the near future because of the music.

The beaded bouncer kicked my friend out of the club for no reason. She was pulled from the bathroom because she “held the wall” on her walk in to the bathroom. The bearded bouncer enjoyed the power of throwing my friend out even through she only had one drink. I suspect they just wanted more money from folks paying the cover. I will not return, and will not recommmend this bar to anyone.

It was fun. Dj was really good. There was a $5 cover charge. There's no dress code. Didn't drink so can't comment on it. Bring socks if possible for the pool. You get to spend 5 min in there according to the advertised sign but the security last night went bizarre because we were there for close to 3 min and she started yelling at everyone to get out. At first we didn't think the announcement was meant for all of us since we got there at different time but once she continued to shout, my partner and I immediately made our way out. The other staff just observed and avoided making any comments. They were just staring, looking uncomfortable. I figured something must have triggered such reaction because the previous group just made their way out without such announcement after their time was up. Well we enjoyed while it lasted. So if you go in there be mindful you may spend less than the advertised time and don't take your time getting out either because the security will explode on you. Prior to getting in the pool, please follow instructions and give them all loose items so they can store them.

First time going out in the city and finding a club that wasn't super expensive to get in and inexpensive drinks. There was a slide when you first walked in and a ball pit, an upstairs with lounge chairs and a couch made out of pillows. Three bars, two downstairs and one upstairs. We got there around 10 which was pretty early, it opened at 8 and there were only a few people on the dance floor by the time we got there. At 11 it got super packed like a normal nightclub, and on the dance floor it was hard to find a place to stand. Not that it wasn't expected though.. I didn't want to go somewhere that was wack! Overall experience lit.. the only thing I have to complain about is they played a few of the radio music that is geared towards like a "white girl wednesday" kind of vibe. Would definitely go back though!

Great atmosphere. Went for happy hour after work on a Friday and it was a decent crowd. It gives you a sense of nostalgia for anyone born in the 90s and earlier. The best part though had to be the ball pit

The $5 cover should have told Me all I needed to know but I was celebrating My cousin's birthday so we thought what the heck, this place could be fun.... BIG MISTAKE. This place is for college kids ONLY! Everyone here is between 21 and 25. There are no actual adults in the nightclub except the staff. The drinks are watered down for younsters since they don't know any better. I literally purchased a shot, poured it into My drink and it made no difference.... ALL JUICE!! The floor is 100% wet at all times do to over pouring (of juice, no alcohol). I also spent an hour in the club before hearing 1 radio song! I should also mention I am mixed... but the crowd was NOT. It was basically 90% white kids..Finally there is the ball pit , which seems fun but in all honesty I am sure is covered in germs and bacteria after seeing a girl enter with no panties. So with all of that said, this place kinda sucks if you aren't a white kid between 21 and 25.

Ball pit was very fun! We got there at 10PM on a Friday night and there was no line to the ball pit. Cover fee is $5. Definitely come early because once this place hits 11PM, it will be crowded. Many bouncers/staff overseeing everything makes it very safe. Upstairs bar has a nice little lounge area and is a bit quieter when you're tired of the dancing. Will be coming back again!

Security at door were grim, and I don't even want to mention the rude female bartender who asked me what I wanted to drink then walked away before I could finish my sentence, it wasn't even poppin yet! We all know it's winter, but if you frown better than do your part-time job, it kills the good vibe your boss intended to provide to people like me who don't go out all the time anymore. You have a ball pit and swings in the place...can you remove the grumpy staff? The DJ was pumping good jams and the photo booth was also a plus, but the DJ and the soundsystem are the only reason I'm putting two stars instead of one. I will not go back, even if you have bean bags.

Went on a Friday night. The cover was $5 and the music was average, switching between radio pop and hip hop and electronic kind of music, but sometimes way too fast. I did not try drinks there but I did get thirsty so I went to the bar to ask for water and the bar near the stairs already had waters ready to give, which I found to be a great gesture. As for the crowd, it was not as diverse as I hoped, but what's worse is that they kept elbowing each other and it was so annoying. This place wasn't too bad for $5 but I don't think I'll be returning

If you just want to jump and move around in a little 2x2' square, it's fine. The dance floor is too crowded and sticky for anything more. Cover was $5. Ball pit is a nice touch, you sign up and they text you when it's your turn.

So my friends and I are at the concourse bar around 10 for his birthday party. We all dressed in suits for the theme of our crew going out. I get downstairs and notice the sticky floors and ugly decor already. Tiny dance floor that's for ants to dance on. Around 12 midnight, two of my friends and I step outside for a breather. AFter 10 minutes, my friends go in and I stay outside to breathe in a little more. Now....here comes the #$%$# up part. We all get stamped on our wrists to come back in as proof we paid the cover charge. I approach the door to go back in and the WHITE BEARDED bouncer refuses me in. He says' you dont look too good' in a very soft spoken voice. I didn't drink and wondered why the hell he would say that. I notice 2 other guys waiting to go in and the bouncer refuses them both, they're both a little tipsy but isn't everyone tipsy at a god damn club??????!!!!! 10 minutes later, I try to go in again and he refuses me again, NO REASON GIVEN TO ME as to why he's refusing me. I'm there for my friend's birthday party and I'm being singled out for NO REASON at all. All the stupid retarded bouncer says' sorry, can't let you in'. NOW.... Three black girls wanted to back in, THEY TOO were refused for NO REASON at all. 2 Brown guys were refused to back in, they were refused! One Mexican guy with tattoos and muscles popping out was refused. BUT THEN, 2 fat white girls walked right back in with no problem AT ALL. I waited another 10 minutes, and the bouncer FINALLY raises his voice and says" YOU'VE BEEN here 30 minutes, nothing's changed, go home!." ABSOLUTELY no reason given why I was refused back downstairs, I don't drink and he purposely singled mostly guys out for no reason. He's a punk with an agenda. I asked him' what's the reason you're refusing me?". He says" No, just go, no". So this bar would rather not let guys in who are willing to buy drinks or what ever ( for guys who drink) lose the money from that, and instead, favors rejecting people who wanna come back in. Hope Karma comes back to him 10 fold. What an insignificant moron.
