DJ changes songs every 15 seconds, and it jumps genres quite drastically too.. Fair warning, they only accept passports from non-US residents as valid ID (and they require for you to keep it on your person when you're inside)

Ok club to hang out . They have salsa night every Friday. It's up to you how to enjoy because their music selection is not that great and you have to work hard to get that proper club vibe. I have been there many times and I am bored with it. Also, if you want a free entry then please go before 10pm. They have a nice bar and all drinks costs around 7$. Bar tenders are very friendly and awesome.

Awesome place !! I was just here this weekend! Ambience and the sound was really superb. The music is awesome ! It's really hard to find a great club. This place is perfect. We had fun. It was a lot of fun for just a little cover and drinks were not so expensive, all in all a good club to have good time. I highly recommend this place!!!

There really is no other club to go to after you've been to Cavo. Incase you didn't know Cavo is the best club in all of Pittsburgh for birthdays bachelorette / bachelor parties or just a fun bottle service kind of weekend with your friends or family. I've hosted my family there without any problem for my birthday, my grandfather was a little surprised / wowed at the performers outfits

Really cool atmosphere. Staff was friendly. There isn't usually a cover charge. Two different sections within the club- one more low key for some dancing and socializing. Other side is a DJ and more of a club scene. On the weekends they usually hire girls to dance. The restroom attendant was very friendly and accommodating- she had everything you could need. There are 3 different bars as well as VIP sections with bottle service.

Heartbreaking because we usually love Cavo. Some creep was groping my friends and wouldn’t leave us alone so my boyfriend told him to back off. The creep left but then came back and sucker punched my boyfriend in the face and split his lip! The staff and manager did NOTHING. They didn’t try to find the guy, they didn’t kick the creep out even though they witnessed and saw who he was and could easily find him via video recordings. They didn’t call the cops when someone was physically assaulted on their property. Bad look CAVO like yeah you don’t want bad publicity for your club but have some decency and respect for human-beings. When someone is assaulted help them, don’t brush it under the rug and normalize it like “oh this happens all the time.” If this happens all the time, you don’t know how to run a good establishment.

Those that hate can't appreciate a fine filet mignon choice cut perfection for $28! Dare any other place to compare. The drinks are spot on with some of the friendliest, most lovable, and insane, in a great way, people I ever made aquaintance. And those tacos!!! Plus great outdoor seating!

The best Nightclub in Pittsburgh. Classier and more up-scale than some other's in the burgh. Drinks aren't overly expensive and bottle service is available. They have a nice dance floor in the back as well as regular Salsa Dancing nights in the front. Plenty of parking is available along the strip very close.

Cavo is a gorgeous club and bar. Love all the space and the theme of decorations. Also the portrait of Nikola Tesla just sitting in the hallway adds a nice amusing touch. I also love that people go nicely dressed to Cavo which is something I do not often see people do at places in pittsburgh. Paid $5 dollar cover Coat check is $1 I thought saturdays they were supposed to play some latin music and I was a little disappointed that there were maybe two songs and then the rest was more big sean and niki minaj and similar which are not always danceable. The dj really liked to remix songs. Often times remixing multiple songs at the same time. He did very well, though he could have kept songs playing for a little longer than he did. Transitions were also usually great.

How come they don't have zero stars. This place is lousy. I came with a few of my friends and within minutes there were two 50 year old women in a fight. The food and drinks are over priced, the service is lousy, and the club is usually empty. What's more the staff is rude and service is slow...even with no one there.

Want some diversity in a city that generally lacks it ,outside of its student population? Cavo is your go to. Pretty much the only joint in Pittsburgh that can boast good food, good salsa/bachata music AND a good Dj in the non-salsa portion.

The place is good and the servers are amazing but towards the closing time of the club, they were very rude. My friend wasnt feeling well and wanted to just sit for a few minutes but the guy said we have to leave immediately and she cant be here if she isn't feeling well. She didn't fall sick but we still had to rush out.

5 dollar cover charge is weak. Music is a mix between hip pop, techno, Edm.. drinks are average. The place is pretty big and u can walk into another club called cake which was cool.

The waiter was super friendly and attentive, and he sold the specials really well. The grilled filet was perfect--a thick piece of tender beef, garnished with asparagus, mushrooms, and roasted potato wedges. The seafood market had a couple options, and we went with the salmon salad. Greens and vegetables were super fresh, the house vinaigrette was flavorful, and the salmon filet was a good portion of grilled tasty fish.

Was super drunk and vomited outside, but the staff was on point. Stephen, the bouncer, would not let me back in and called a cop over when I got a little difficult. Nothing too serious and I got home safely, but it was handled in 100% the correct way. Great staff here.

I was visiting Pitt and my girlfriend and I were really looking forward to finding a place that played good music so we could dance. We were a little bummed that there weren't many option in Pitt from what we were being told outside of South side. We did a little Google search and cavo seemed like a hit or miss place but we went anyway. When you walk in, the salsa/Spanish dance scene is the first thing you walk through. And then you continue to an open bar area and around the corner is the hip-hop and house type music dance floor. We really liked the concept/interior of the club and the dance floor was full but not overly packed where you had people bumping into you. The music was good for the most part and catered to several crowds. The drinks tasted good but were weak in comparison to other places. However, considering it is a city, I guess a long island should cost $10 (where I'm am they are around $7 and are a lot stronger). But the vodka red bull I got was also pretty weak but the price was definitely a lot more reasonable $6. Overall, would definitely return for another night for dancing and drinks.

I will say that it is a beautiful club. Very classy, exotic, and interesting. I did not go to the bar, so I can't comment on that. It reminds me of watching lifestyles of the rich and famous and seeing clubs on the mediterranean. Makes you feel you are not in Pittsburgh. I was not a fan of the DJ that night, but for a younger audience, they may like it.

Great music and a big dance floor! There is plenty of bar space throughout to get a drink, so if it's crowded where you are then look for another bar in further inside. Lights, music, and effects are also pretty great, and used in the right proportions.

I've been here twice, both times were really fun. First time, I walked in and it was already packed but i happened to know someone in the VIP and within 10 minutes, people were passing me bottles, which was obviously awesome since I love fireball. The second time, we arrived at opening, somehow buying my first drink, I dropped $100 and my ID. A worker walled around looking for me and found me as I entered the bathroom, giving me back everything that was lying on the floor. If it were busy right then, someone would've snatched it up. But he gave it to me despite the fact that he could've pocketed the money and threw my license in the trash. That man has some good karma coming his way. The workers were nice, helpful, and the music was good with a really fun dance scene. Only thing is there was this john malkovich con air looking bouncer that almost looked like he was having a bad day and looking to find someone to take it out on that was right next to our table. He never said a word to us but I suppose being that close just wasn't the best idea. Overall, great experience and too many positives to list. I will absolutely be back as I really haven't found a better dance experience in the Burgh, well done Cavo.

Do not go to Cavo Night Club. Last night I was physically assaulted there and they did nothing about it. My girlfriend and her friends were just hanging out and some creepy guy was trying to talk to them and touching their waists and he wouldn't go away even though he was making them very uncomfortable. I came and told him he needed to leave and he walked away and then came running back in shoved one of the girls out of the way and hit me in the mouth splitting my lip. They refused to call the police, I had to do that on my own. The club manager was only worried about making the whole thing go away, not about actually helping me. The bouncers all saw what happened and they wouldn't talk to the cops. It took some coersion just to let the police see the video of the incident. The whole time, the manager was just fast talking trying to convince the cop that I was the bad guy. I couldn't ID the person because it happened so fast, and the manager wouldn't ID the person even though he knew exactly who did it. Once they finally let the cops see the video, they decided that "it was blurry but it looked kind of like I instigated the incident" or in other words, they told me I deserved it because I told the guy to stop creeping on my friends. Cavo is an awful place that only has it's own best interest in mind. Do not go to Cavo.

The bottle service girls are very good at their job and everyone is super accommodating and they have women on silk strings from the ceiling crazy lights just an awesome atmostphere nothing compares! Not to mention food is delicious and staff is very friendly and accommodating!

They always play the ame damn music(high tempo) and dj changes music every 15 seconds. Bartender sometimes forget your order and completely ignores you. Except for the husky bartender and the blode older lady bartender. The three stars is for the classyness cuz if u not careful, u can find a wife here lol
