Bouncers letting in regulars before the long line and they did not pay the cover. Bartenders more worried about performing for “Thunderstruck” than patrons waiting for >10 minutes. Do they have a pyrotechnics licenses? Overcrowded after 12 and hot.

Used to be south side's best secret. Its the most fun bar on the planet. Fire breathing bartenders, confetti cannons, foam machines, rain parties, luau parties with sand covered floors, highlighters, fake mustaches, etc. Order an orange crush, spin the wheel, and dance with a stranger.

There will never, ever be a more bizarre, wild place than Bar 11. It's a dive bar, it's a nightclub, it's a frat party, it's shotgunning beers from the mystery vending machine and drawing on your friends faces with a highlighter. They give out party favors like candy necklaces and confetti poppers and wrap you in aluminum foil. There are foam cannons. The drinks are potent. SNL used to run a skit where Stefon (Bill Hader) would talk about the hottest, weirdest clubs in New York City and Bar 11 could absolutely be among that crowd. I love it and I'll never be able to fully sell it in this review. Go check it out for yourself.

This is THE dive bar to go to in Pittsburgh. Definitely a unique place involving odd themes, bubbles and glitter coming out of the ceiling, a beer vending machine, candy necklaces, random dollar store toys cast around the bar, bartenders breathing fire, and various other oddities. But no one is ready to come here before 9 or 10 so this shouldn't be your first stop out on the town, but you'll definitely want to shower after

If you are looking for great people, fun and entertaining bartenders, and free poppers and candy necklaces this is the place to be. The drinks are reasonably priced and they keep the fun alive with bubbles shooting from the ceiling, bartenders blowing fire, and the free small toys.

Good place to go at night and have some fun with friends. Drink prices are standard. Only gripe is that they were charging a cover the last time I went, and the bouncer didn't let me take 5 steps inside to use the ATM to get the cover charge, so a friend had to spot me. Dude, I'll be right next to you the whole time

This is likely the only place that could douse me with glitter (also known as the herpes of the craft world) and still get me to happily return. Bar 11 is just that much fun. The bartenders are friendly, energetic, and fast! Even when they're packed I rarely wait more than a few minutes to order and get a drink. There is one downside, though... There is only one ladies room, which, on a busy night, is a real test of my bladder. Other than that, I cannot recommend Bar 11 enough!

Yoooo! This place is an absolute riot! Its 100% a dive but the drinks are strong, the bartenders are cool and they even have little junky cool penny toys on the bar like edible jewelry and mini kaleidoscopes! Total trip. I visit here as often as I can when in town. GO STEELERS!

I started going to bar11 when I was 25yo. I am now 50yo and my son and girlfriend just turned 21yo. They wanted to go to a cool bar on the Southside. So bar11 popped into my head. So happy its still open! Still fun, still awesome, still great service.

This place is cool! The staff is amazing. Wide variety of drinks, the music was always bouncy. They over decorate for Halloween and it's wonderful. Strobe lights and foam machines are in use. Got my drink and they gave me vampire teeth and Candy necklace to go with it. I went on a weekend so it was busy , but a good busy.

$11 all you can drink domestics from 8-11 is pretty hard to beat if you are looking to pregame. If you aren't too interested in drinking that early the shot specials are still pretty decent. Overall the bar is basically a 21+ fraternity party with complementary stale beer odor and sticky floors.

The only good thing about the place is the environment it creates. Definitely a party bar, but do not expect to get waited on, especially if you are a male. On three different occasions, my friend and I (both males) we're waiting on drinks. Beside us on two of these occasions was a man and woman couple, the other side was two women. The bartender who was more interested in making creepy perverted comments over the loud speaker, and also trying to play drums, than making drinks and taking orders, was on our side of the bar. He came over, got the two women beside me and also the man's wife's order, but never took ours or the husband. The third time, he took my order, acknowledged it, and never brought it. Eventually we got fed up and left. Too bad the service was not as good as the rave.

This is a unique and small bar worth at least one visit. The staff is crazy, and they give you little "prizes" with every drink, or absolutely no reason what so ever. They also hold what I consider to be the best summer solstice party in the entire city. It's a little known event but truly worth the trip. Bring your swim suit, and put your cell phone in a baggie...

The feel here is playful and fun! Sometimes there is aluminum foil covering the ceiling and walls, but the theme changes. Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are the most friendly in Southside. Location is off the main drag in Southside so the following here is curated by word of mouth.
