ADMIRALS CLUB PHILLY X IN TERM A...ALWAYS CLEAN FREAH WHOLESOME FOOD WORTH IT

C Odessa

I normally use Amex Centurion lounge, but because I had a long layover at PHL airport more than 3 hours I decided to check out the AA Admiral lounge as I was flying first class and the lounge access is complimentary on business and first class. The lounge is expansive, spacious and well designed. The service and food offerings is where they lag behind even mid tier lounges. Their foods and drinks offering is average and doesn't come close to the centurion lounge. However the centurion lounge in PHL is smaller in size and quite cramped but the refreshments sure makes up and takes it several notches over the Admiral's lounge!

Angela Manzella

Amazing lounge! Purchased a day pass as I had a long layover... definitely worthy it!! Friendly staff, great snacks of which I absolutely loved the idea of the fresh guacamole from 15:00, it was delicious

Kris Meyer

These guys are terrific. A much more comfortable and pleasant travel experience than sitting in the concourse!

Cesar Santana

Staff in the check in area are the worst. No customer service at all. I approached to a color lady to ask her to help me find my gate number. Flight 1864, She was rude, saying I’m not going to read that tell me what you want!! I l told her never mind, Then she replied I don’t see a ticket. I replied, if I didn’t have one I shouldn’t have never ask you in the first place. Right?! . She gave a bad look. Poor service never flighting ever again in this airline. AA needs to do better hiring. Old staff are getting tired. they need to retired.

Sam Aba

Nice place to relax before a flight, the only downside is the lack of a "quiet room' to sleep in

Matthew Green

Quiet and large club. 2 snack areas and 1 bar.

mae arg

Some times it gets so busy that it is hard to find a place to seat especially in the section near the bar. If that happens go to the left side of the room after you register with the front desk. Also this locarion does nor have enough charging areas for the volume of people visiting

Eric Uvaney

Comfortable, nice views, friendly staff and great place to grab a quick preflight bite to eat

Ed Jung

The A gate lounge is very spread out and lots of available seating. we arrived at 8pm when a lot of international flights are getting ready for boarding and it was quite empty. the only complaint is that food is on one side and the bar is on the other end mak9ng forms lot of walking back and forth.

greg wallace

It helps to travel in style. We are at that point in our lives where we totally deserve it.

Richard Douglas

Always really busy, struggle to get a decent seat. No idea why AA insist on vouchers for drinks. Other airlines do not.

John Zimitski

Great service and great view from A terminal.

Drew Jones

The staff were super. Made the check in a pleasure!

Marlon Sherman

Spacious lounge with a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for waiting between flights.

Robert Eisenberg

It's okay, quite, comfy, needs help with the food.

Zach Eberhart

Always love to hang here for a bit before flights

Scott Blanchard

Very dated. Half the seats don't have power. Very sub par international lounge compared to competition. Desperately need Flagship lounge in PHL.

Nick Beesley

Comfy chair, but very poor food choices...not worth the money if you have to pay!

Ravi Patnaik

Comfortable spacious seating, healthy snacks and hot beverages.

Mike Libman

Well organized comfortable lounge. Good choices of drinks and snacks including freshly made avocado customized with different toppings. Daily soup specials.

John Masi

A conformable clean, quiet space with good lite bites and beverages.

Kwak Family

Comfortable lounge; Afternoon made to order guacamole is very good; One of the better lounges in US airports.

Zahir Walji

Great service. Average food. Really poor wifi and phone charging facilities

Barry Wissler

Good place to work while waiting for a flight

marvin socha

Wonderful space, but was crowded. Finally found a space in the bar. Great guacamole!

Chaim Noy

The lounge was good and spacious, but I also agree with the more critical reviewers, who point out that it's basically minimal and incomparable to lounges globally. And yes, airlines do need competition

Alison Harasim

Very large, clean, and ample snacks available. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant and relaxing way to wait for a flight. Interesting view of tarmac to watch take off and landing of planes.

Linda Stucchi

Peaceful, quiet, restful...numerous beverages and many many quality snacks. The hosts at Tampa were especially friendly and interested in the clientele they serve. Lounges are very clean and ports for electronics plentiful.

Patricia Armstrong

This is one of the nicer AA clubs, no surprise since Philly is a hub. You have to take the lift between gates 15/16. Once upstairs and checked in you see what a huge space this is. Lots of seating with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the runway. There are business pods for meetings or a bit of quiet space if needed. Clean, sleek, and well maintained. One star removed because you have to use 'drink tickets' for 2 free drinks/person at the bar. Limited menu available for food purchases.

Shiraz Ritwik

Very well appointed lounge, not crowded at all. Also, this was at 8am so that might explain it. Snacks and beverages were on par with other Admirals Club lounges. However, the breakfast spread could have been more elaborate. For example, the lounge between terminals b and c at PHL is more well stocked. Would love to come back here again.

Dianne Trevithick

Fresh Guacamole ! Peaceful way to wait for your flight.

Paul Simmonds

Much better than the BA lounge in Manchester. Just a shame they use partner lounges at non US airports and don't have their own.

Da nielle Bryant

Not enough personal space

Daniel Parker

Very relaxed atmosphere before a long trip

Daniel Ottey

Two complimentary drinks, free snacks and a quiet place to wait. Loved it!

Keena Brittingham

Very comfortable and everyone was helpful.

Becca Fiorini

Quiet getaway in a busy airport with lots of room. Very Friendly staff and fast WiFi. It was also very clean with many power outlets available at each seat to recharge electronics. Only downside is there were minimal snack options available (cheese cubes, veggies and soup). Would have liked bread for the soup, or something to make a small sandwich.

Brad Feick

I was here with a regular travel warrior. Nice going AA! It was a comfort.

NYCBA2

Not up to par with Europe and argentina

Mark Cathcart

The Philly Lounge is much better than I remember it. Great place to take a break between flights. Power, snacks and drinks. Was at least reasonably quiet and very large, plenty of seating.

William Growney

They really treated us right. Ice cream sandwiches and everything.

Wayne Whitfield

Friendly and attentive staff...but a very limited selection of food

Anthony Giudice

No entry with first class ticket. Total rip off.

Brand Elverston

Nice club, clean and updated. Then there's the bar...bit of a disappointment as they had stanchions forming a queue only to see a not so polished bartender. First words out of his mouth were, "..drink coupon..?". A little class and a smile would be preferred. Remember AA, we pay a fair amount for this privelage.

Mark Hargreaves

Nice airy lounge plenty of seating options good selection of food. Clean and efficient. Friendly welcoming staff.

Jim Carey

Conveniently located in muktiple terminals at PHL. An overall great experience and high class accomodation.

Fabio Vitali

Could be better. Workers are very nice, but AA does not invest in a better lounge: food is just ok, no buffet. Charges crazy prices for international flights and not providing ab equivalent service. I normally fly from EWR of JFK to Europe. This flight was not booked by me.

Beatrice Hiner

I enjoy the airlines club. The guacamole bar is good and they have plenty of snacks. Comfortable and quiet. Great place to work.

Sabrenia Kelley-Lewis

These lounges are a lifesaver for long layovers. The cost for membership is worth every penny.

Lonnie Lippert

The clubs bartender that day, Elwood, was very amenable, polite and engaging. Was on top of my every request.

Braden Handley

Quiet and plenty of places to sit

Marcel Jussaume

Always enjoy stopping and relaxing here before my long flights. Tonight the place was mobbed packed full could not even find a seat. A little disapointing.

Eric Schlaginhaufen

Very friendly staff with two complimentary drinks should you fly via premium economy

Ross Wilcox

Good place to relax and get some snacks while waiting for a flight. Provided internet access

WINSOME CHUA

Nice peaceful environment to pass the time. Very good Mushroom Bisque and Chili soups.

Jeffrey Stajich

Very comfortable, plenty of space.

Donald Johnson

Always a favorite before a flight. Good coffee

Robert Ruffolo

Well laid out lounge, one side very quiet for reflection and work. The other side has the bar, with mire interactive travelers.

Antonella Fiorillo

Perfect for transit, very kind staff and comfortable room

Ryan Nunes

Love the homemade avacado! Friendly staff, great service and comfy chairs.

Paul Evans

This is an excellent club. Large, well-kept, decent snacky-food options and soups, ample opportunities to get drinks, and speedy wifi. It's usually very quiet in the lounge, which is a welcome change of pace from the gate areas. If I have time, I always stop at the A West or B/C Admirals lounges on my way out of PHL.

Ken Lee

We had a business class upgrade that somehow American lost yet depending on who we talked to, was found and then cancelled for no apparent reason. Such huge variability in responses makes it a very disappointing experience. the admirals diamond 800 number said to contact the gate agent in the airport because it was released to the airport. The ticket agent at the airport said she had nothing to do with that and it was still being handled centrally by the 800 number. I put the two directly in touch with each other using my speaker phone and they proceeded to argue. Nothing got resolved.

Stacey Quandt

The Philadelphia admirals club is not equivalent with other clubs. The lack of natural light and limited food selection is disappointing. The food in the terminal is better.

Sharon Friend

They are now not allowin PAID members use of the club unless you are flying on american... You PAY $450-$500 to use the club isn't that enough? Really GREEDY honestly! I've been a member for years and used to fly american exclusively unroll they kept taking away benefits chipping away more and more unroll only the wealthy or those who fly for their companies can actually achieve a status... Still I PAID for a membership so I could have club access even if I were flying on other airlines...my money isn't good enough for you I guess!

Dieter Hinkelmann

Chicago lounge has improved, but not as close to amex centurion lounges for same cost. Centurion offers full breakfast, lunch and dinner and free alcoholic drinks, vs AA lounge is just snacks and still charges for liquor beer

Maria Angelina Elia

Good but not excelent

John Bell

One of the nicer Ameican Airlines Admirals clubs. However, British Airways club is much better overall.

Steve H

This lounge was excellent however its currently closed for 4-6 months and I didn't find out until I was checking in at the bag drop off (on 2nd November 2018). There is a small area beside gate B34 that passengers normally eligible for lounge access are sent to, however it is tiny, literally it has some soft drinks and snacks and a couple of thermos flasks of coffee and hot water. No alcohol but worst of all there's nowhere to sit, so you need to pick up what you can carry and go and try to find a seat elsewhere in the airport.

Fitzhugh Patrick

Good selection of food and drink. Comfortable chairs. Only issue was that they would not put the shades down on the floor to ceiling glass windows. As a result, it gets quite warm in the club.

Kevin Price

Pretty good, not the best lounge but still a lot better than the concourse..

Tom Hilfer

The food is acceptable but the bartender was very slow and rude to most everyone I saw. Food is a bit overpriced from the menu but there's some free munchies too. If you're looking for more than chips and hummus I'd buy food elsewhere in the airport.

Patricia M Burke

So welcoming and all the comforts of home. A better choice than waiting in the terminal. A must do.

Daniel Rangel

It was ok. No hot food except for soup.

Alexander Molitor

Comfortable lounge - but you have to pay for everything but cheapest wine and beer from breweries other than Anheuser-Busch or Corrs. Not comparable to other lounges with free selection of beverages.

Clara Monaghan

Agents were so helpful and nice

Bernie Cowens

Large, spacious, comfortable. Friendly staff.

Jean French

I have always has a pleasant experience with the staff in the lounges at PHL.

David Maddison

Infinitely times better than the British Airways lounge in the terminal if not from any other reason that there is a tonne more space. With the right One World status, you’ll get complimentary premium drink vouchers - currently enjoying a Margherita and watching my happiness increase as the volume of the glass decreases - yay!

Tom Fox

They need more places to charge electronic devices. Other than that, it's much like any other Admirals club. Nice place to visit but don't want to stay any longer than I have to.

Mark Kellman

There was a VERY limited selection for food, I received 2 drink vouchers which were 1 ounce pours, and it was nearly impossible to find a seat that had an electric outlet to charge my phone or laptop.

John Wang

It was a little disassociating for the main lounge of AA’s hub not to have shower facility. Everything is just like what you have from other smaller Admirals Club including limited options of snacks, except for its spacious resting area. Looking forward to the completion of Flagship Lounge

Anthony Collins

This lounge makes you feel human.

Ro Carcaci

Don't think i will ever fly without the Admiral's Club again. Love it.

James Patton

Minimal drinks and food available for the price you had to pay even though we were flying business class.

Kat S

It was very similar to Sky club of Delta. They had plenty of food and drinks including the machine that makes different types of hot beverages. I got some hot chocolate and cappuccino. For alcohol they were giving away some cards that would get you a free drink. A lot of people would not use them and you can easily get a handful of them to enjoy. I had an international flight and that was very helpful to relax on the plane.

John Zapthethird09

They changed the policy from unlimited drinks to two drink tickets. American continues to fall behind delta.

Donald Bland

Good place to relax, get a bite to eat and get ready for your next flight

Lionel Fernandes

Queues at the bar, food options are limited. The soup of the day was great though.

Frannie Pryor

Nice, comfortable, plenty of seating but with all the windows it can get a little warm in some areas.

Melissa P

Clean, quiet. Plush chairs and relaxing environment. I appreciated the lemon and lime infused water. It was refreshing.

Jason Southwell

Very friendly. Very outdated. Took forever to get a wheelchair.

Christopher Smith

Want to say as a frequent traveler I experience many Admirals Clubs but the clubs in PHL were great & the Customer Service was above & beyond. We were delayed multiple times with multiple gate changes & the gentleman working the front desk at the F terminal lounge insisted on walking down to the gate to ensure it was the correct one for our flight as he couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Anytime I have an option I’m connecting through Philly!

Brian Marranzini

How this has the rating it does when you need a drink certificate for anything good, and the bartenders measure like the UK, 25cl does not a drink make, and they serve stale pita chips, veggies, hummus and soup. I have no idea who paid to boost the ratings here! No showers, you might get lucky with a Guacamole bar on a cart, but the lines for that are typically long and t isn’t out very long. Almost every priority pass lounge in the world is better than this AA lounge. What’s even sadder is they think this thing justifies a membership if you’re flying domestic! I use the BA lounge if they are kind enough to honor my Emerald status and aren’t busy, as it has top shelf, free pour your own, decent beer selection and some finger sandwiches at least. Honestly the lounge situation in PHL makes me want to get an Amex plat or I’m praying Priority Pass of the restaurants to join.

Andres Romero

Standard AA lounge. They ve been raising the bar lately. Good place to work and grab a quick bite

Sean Ryan

Awesome lounge, one of my favorite in the AA network. Lots of space, large windows with sweeping views and sunshine. Food and drink offerings similar to other Admirals Clubs.

Gloria Carrao

Victor makes the BEST Tequila Sunrise! This place is such a nice oasis during flights. Free WiFi, food to keep you goin without having to buy an $12 cold sandwich, and PEACE...its really calm and inviting environment.

Tom B.

For international departures the Admirals Club at Gate 15 (PHL) is ideally located. Nothing fancy but a quiet oasis in what is typically a very hectic airport.

Alex Karpowicz

Very comfortable with many choices for light food

Sarvesh Kulkarni

Excellent, quiet place with WiFi, bathrooms, showers and soups/snacks/drinks.

Matt Lemon

Great food and service, lovely place to chill before a long flight.

Andrew Anderson

Average lounge. Good selection of drinks and snacks but should offer more food. Had to buy a burrito before boarding my plane because I was so hungry. The British Airways lounge at Gatwick is ten times better.

L Travis

Philadelphia club is terrifc; super clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.

Mark Schaffel

Clean and good service.

chris chadwick

Beautiful big and remodeled Awesome staffing

alphabravo1988

A very nice Admirals Club. Not to crowded ( at least during the time that I was there) and a great view in the apron and the runway. Food is like in any other Admirals Club as well. I’d definitely suggest going here

Zheka Fomin

Large lounge. Strangely limited food offering and you have to pay for drinks.

Julia Steinauer

Visited admiral club at terminal b/c and also at terminal a; Verdict: both are ok with very friendly staff Terminal A seems to be newer and not quite as busy as at terminal b; it just seemed more comfortable; Also, at terminal b/c I moved seats a few times due to extreme cold drafts from aircon I was hoping to put up my feet and lye down but only seating areas in both. Overall very ok, nothing major to criticize but have seen nicer lounges with more variety of food and seating, resting areas

Vanessa Price

Chili was AMAZING! Very spacious..membership pays off!

Sandi Clifford

Amazing. Great snacks and awesome staff

Jeanne Dipaola

The Admirals Club is wonderful: peaceful, relaxing, no stress, quiet, great food and beverages, and very helpful staff.

Steven Pena

One of the best ones I been too.

Ghassan Sleiman

They had fresh guacamole. Two free drink tickets

Mark Dunn

Excellent spot to hang out in, if you have a long layover.

Scott Everett

It's comfortable, but there was always a line for drinks (just put fridges out to help ourselves to soda and keep the service for alcohol). The toilet stalls have that most endearing of American traditions of being so easily seen through that one questions why bother with a door at all. Also, I didn't see a disabled toilet, there were larger stalls in the normal toilets but the doors to get in there are very heavy and tough to get through.

Jason Miller

Not when of AAs best but decent. Food selections are well stocked. Desk staff is friendly. Easy to get to from all points in A terminal.

Alan Crawford

Very nice atmosphere. Great. View or air ops. Typical menu..as far as I could tell, no seat service other than bussing. Recomendded!

W. Randall Petersen

Nice, clean, and quiet. Food so-so. Helpful staff.

Mike Morris

Always better than hitting the gate early.

SweetHomeGeorgia

Great time to spend a 12 HR layover in Philly for $59. While I love there are 5 different Admirals Clubs at this airport, the food choices weren't all that great hence the one star off. Too bad there is no discount for Platinum Advantage Card holders. I got lucky to eat delicious chili as I'm sure it isn't served every day but nothing big like sandwiches or other warm food. The Guacamole station was great those in the international Admiral's Club from 3-6 pm. I wish this location has shower facilities but doesn't. That did not affect this review though.

Penelope Grice

The seats were comfortable and the staff efficient. The food bar offerings are a bit lacking.

Amit Pawar

Hidden behind a nondescript door at the phl airport (there is a sign directing you to the club) this is a smallish, clean lounge with soup, snacks and drinks options. It does get crowded pretty fast and you need to either have an admirals club membership or traveling on international business/first (domestic first does not qualify)

Scott Zemke

Nice quiet place to get away from the travel inept.

Enrique Pena

Good drinks. Nice snacks and soups. Great service

Bryan Hansbury

Great place to relax with a couple of drinks and some snacks while waiting for flight to board.

john sheehan

Amex lounge is much better. Free drinks and better food.

Tim Saunders

There is plenty of room in this huge Admirals club. The usual selection of drinks and snacks is available, along with guacamole and chips with the guacamole made to your specifications. I hate avocado, but they made me a custom salsa for the chips instead, which made me happy. The blood orange margaritas at the bar are very good and available in exchange for the premium drinks tokens, make sure you try them!

Patricia Suarez

Clean, good services, need more food options
