Went there on a Sunday for lunch. The service was terrible (long waits, kitchen lost our order, waitress was unattentive) and food was not great (burned bacon, overdone steamed shrimp, potatoes that tasted like they had been frozen). There are so many great options, I recommend giving this place a miss.

I've never had a bad meal at Stripers and it's a great option when the beach side restaurants are packed. Also check out their Sunday brunch! Only downsides: limited beer list and vegetarian options.

Wonderful views and great food. Got a chance to check out Stripers on vacation and it worth it. Views of the entire sound and the seafood was on point. Go with the soft shell cran sandwich or the rockfish rueben.

The downstairs is a bar and the upstairs has a nice dining room. Food was good but used a lot of tarter sauce. Beautiful view of the sound. Our biggest complaint was it was very hard to find, we would not have found it without the help of a local. Side note, the dining room is very small so be prepared to wait if they are busy.

The service was extremely quick and the seafood was very fresh and tasty. I had a pound of fresh steamed shrimp and 2 fried soft shell crabs. My wife had the open face meatloaf sandwich. For dessert we had the lemon marscaopne cake...then drove to the Manteo waterfront to walk it off.

I loved the intimate atmosphere. It has a bar and tables facing the ocean on the first floor with live music on Fridays. We were looking for something new to sample. We lucked in on the timing of it because from 3:30-5:30 they have happy hour with 50% off crab legs, shrimp and mussels. Yummy. There are other things on the menu besides seafood for those who can't eat it. On the 2nd floor is a family restaurant area that has complete views of the ocean with a full bar. The third floor has some table seating, a bar, and outdoor balcony seating section with great views of the ocean. This bar and grill is located in the Pirate Cove area of Manteo. It was nice!

They have some dishes that are the bomb! Like their Blonde Brownies and the staff are wonderful. I went in to pick up the food for my sister's birthday dinner. She had gotten two bottles of wine and I asked the General Manager if he could sell me one wine glass and he did get the wine glass for me and he didn't add it on to our bill. To me that it is the one of my favorite restaurant. I try to go there when I come out here twice a year! So Thank you to all of the staff members!

Was recommended Stripers by a local while visiting the NC Aquarium. I should have gone back and thanked her. Great spot for lunch. Fresh, tasty seafood; plenty of options; friendly staff; and a nice view of the marina. Worth the very short drive off the main road.

Friendly people, wonderful food, and a nice view. Their cream of crab soup is made with real cream and is so incredibly tasty it is worth the heart attack. ;) The seared scallops were perfectly cooked. The crab cake sandwich and the potato salad were also wonderful, too. It's not cheap, but it is worth every penny!

Felt less than welcomed by the hostess when I arrived. She was cold and unfriendly. I sat myself at the bar and the experience improved from there. Service was average, live music was loud but not unenjoyable. Had the avocado caprese salad, which was great! Shrimp slightly overcooked but not inedible. Would try again.

The views are spectacular, I got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and it's served with onion rings and fresh green beans. Came here for dinner . Had my peek-a-poo with me so sat on the deck where there are 2 tables provided. Only problem I had is that this is also the smokers deck. So not only was my little 10# furbaby exposed to second hand smoke but so was I and I am asthmatic. Thankfully the wind was blowing away from us or I may have had to leave. The food was good,service ok but a bit slow but I won't return bc of the smoking situation.This seems like a really nice restaurant with good food and a beautiful deck with water view but it would be nice if they could figure out a way to divide the smokers from the outside patrons who happen to have a dog with them.

Pleasant surprise. Food was exceptional. All four in our party were completely satisfied in the quality, taste and freshness of the items served. Wait service was very good and friendly. View of waters and dock activities added to the experience. Finding this gem was a bit of a challenge as was parking space shared by the residents, but this did not diminish the experience. If you have never had shrimp and grits...I would highly recommend a try at the entree here. It is not spicy and a delight to the taste buds.

Oh my goodness! Just tried this restaurant and it is a new favorite. Great views of the sound and marina. The calamari was excellent. Very tender and flavorful. The jalapeno tarter sauce was really good too. I had the rockfish reubin and loved it. Ask to sit on the second floor. Better views of the sound and it isn't so loud.

Our annual trip to the obx has us eating at a place on the causeway, but looking at recent unfavorable reviews, decided to try Stripers. Located off the road, we decided to go upstairs instead of loud bar. We had terrific view, great service from Alex, really good food. We will use Stripers as our new go to place.

Food was super slow (45 min wait for a burger) and taste was mediocre at best. The only reason I even think they earn one star is because wait staff was amazing. The waitress made sure our drinks were always full and was super sweet.

The Shallow Bag Bay view is as good as it gets from the second or third floor. The food is fresh and delicious, I recommend the fish tacos during the warm weather season and the oyster stew for cooler nights. The service is as good as it gets during the peak season as well as the off season. They even offer a happy hour from 3:30pm to 5pm. Steamed shrimp, crab legs and mussels are 50% off.

Fantastic experience, great food and service. The bacon cheese fries were quality with real bacon and melted shredded cheese, the chicken wings were big and juicy with a crispy outside, ahi tuna poke was made with a prime cut and well seasoned, and the cheesesteak eggrolls were unexpectedly flavorful. For entrees, we had the Rockfish Ruben with absolutely perfect onion rings, Seafood Bowl with mussels, shrimp and rockfish, buffalo rockfish quesadilla, and fish tacos with rice and beans that were just right. To top it off, they even offered a complimentary piece of key lime pie for my mother's birthday! The service was kind, attentive, and accommodating. Two small outdoor seating tables, but with our small group it was nice and intimate and easy for us to even have our dogsdogs and us! We would absolutely revisit next time we were in the area. Hours after leaving, we're still talking about it.
