I have loved this bar...been a regular for 10yrs. However I was once profiled by a bar man when I made a joke. He looked at my military haircut and said "we don't serve your kind here". I was disappointed.

Fun dance dive. Beer on tap was a little flat and tasted like the lines hadn't been cleaned recently. DJs aren't the best, but still a good time.

I normally never play the race card but last night was rediculous and infuriating. If you're a white person you should be fine, the patrons at the bar were nice and friendly HOWEVER the bar tenders, were horrible and racist. On 3 separate occassions I tried to buy drinks and they would not take my order, I stood at the bar for over 30minutes on various occasions, despite the fact that I had given them my card for a tab. Even the patrons were on my side telling the bar tenders to take my order because they kept on passing me up. They would only take my order only when my wife was with me who happens to be white and they would only talk to her. My nonwhite friends had the same experience they were not being served. Unless our white friends ordered for them. When I asked for my card back they said they did not have it and would not look for it. Again my wife came to the rescue and asked in the same polite manner to close out our tap and they gave it to her. We left the bar pist off and will never go back.

This is the place I go to dance in the dark. It's fun, the music is always different and on point and I always see my far share of characters. It gets hot down there in the basement, but it's really fun. You will see hipsters. Lots of them. But who cares?

The vibe here reminded me of underground clubs and bars in my native Southern California. Very cool vibe, cool lighting, and an intimate, hip, atmoshere. We discussed moving to Raleigh beacause of this club's influence, which is really saying something. We will be back

Bartender was very selective over what customers he wanted to serve and when... First drink took 13 minutes to get and we was all three sitting at the bar the hole time. Just waiting.... So we drank our one round and left.

Bartender ignored customers for about 30 min, without even acknowledging or showing any sign of caring ( long brown hair/ tattoos) The service in general on Saturday is abhorrent!!! I highly recommend neptunes to hire more bartenders, especially for rush hour!!

Food was not as good as I hoped. The chef refused to use grilled chicken for the chicken parm to make it gluten free. Had to get a gluten free pasta primavera, which made me incredibly sick. Had to wait for a table for a very long time, but there was literally no where to stand. The waitress also consistently was nowhere to be found.

Great place to go with friends. Can get extremely crowded on weekends with dancing and loud music. Good staff. Overall pretty fun place.

Great 'underground' bar and atmosphere. DJ's on the weekends, typically play great music (hip-hop/r&b/rap) and you may even catch a couple guys breaking dancing out on the dancefloor, which is always fun to watch! Bartenders do their best to get your drinks immediately! One less star from amazing is the fact that, in the summer time, that basement bar turns into a sauna.. The "remodel" for more seating is awkward and undone, but that might go with the appeal? One thing I would like to recommend to bring back- they used to put beautiful aromatic tiger lilies in the womens bathroom, that was an awesome note! One thing that really stuck out for me, on my first couple visits!

I love the music here whether it is the DJ giving songs their due by planning more that 30 seconds worth, or a band that is casually playing on a quiet Monday evening. I also think it is a little known gem for it's drinks menu that come at a terrific price compared to other cocktail bars in the area. I feel confident popping into Neptunes for a fun evening any night of the week.

Bartender named Cameron likes to get drunk behind the bar and instigate fights with paying customers. I guess he thinks he has some idocum of power because hes a bartender here. Emailed the owners but they didnt seem interested in making it right . Unfortunate
