I think it's the only hookah bar in uptown. I like the hookahs and drinks over here. The only thing is, the ambience upstairs is kinda shady. There are limited outside seating so it is hard to get a table. It is located on a lively street. Zablong (great pizza place) is just opposite to it and you can grab a bite while you sit here.

Visited several times and still can't sort the place out (perhaps it is me?). It is rather hidden and tends to cater to the footie fans (Soccer). Not terrible - not terrific...If you are from Europe and don't appreciate American sports - then this might be a place you would like.

I was having an amazing time today at this bar watching the champions league. It is my birthday and my friends and I were together enjoying the game while we were drinking. I come here to watch every soccer game and always enjoy myself... UNTIL TODAY. There was one bartender serving everyone and from the start he was not in a good mood. He was giving everyone an attitude and being very rude to the customers. We had one tab open and one of our friends wanted to buy drinks and pay on her own tab. We were sharing the original tab and all wanted to tip on there so we wouldn’t have to tip again. After singing off the receipt the bartender saw that we hadn’t tipped and I guess took it to heart. Jokingly, I asked the guys we had become friends with to buy me a birthday shot. The bar being silent as everyone was listening to me, and abruptly he yells out, AS EVERYONE WAS SILENT, “why are you asking for free drinks when you can’t even tip on the tab you got”. This absolutely ruined all of our moods and we had to leave immediately. When we came to close our tab I told him itis not okay to speak to a customer like that and no one OWED him a tip. However, he continued being very hostile with me and screaming at me that “I was asking for free drinks when I didn’t deserve it”. We paid our bill and walked out and will never be returning until he no longer works there.

The bartenders seem to think they don't have to work as hard, or they take their job for granted. I've been a couple times and those that get off from their shift, just drink until their intoxicated. I've seen those that work there, it may be their day off but they don't handle themselves correctly. One said they were a manager, a smaller African American, and could barely get the words out. He was talking to someone else but I thought to myself if you were a manager, and stating that you were to customers, clearly you would want to behave in a way that was appropriate to running a business. An hour or two later he was falling asleep at the bar. Definitely disappointed and won't be back.

Spent the weekend in Charlotte. Stopped in this small bar and was greeted right away by a lovely local crowd. The beers were as cold as they were delicious. The staff were definitely one of the friendliest I have met. Would definitely recommend stop in and have a cold one.

This is one of my favorite bars in Charlotte. It's pretty crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings when the EPL is in full swing but an awesome locale when it's not crazy busy. Staff is friendly and plenty of beers on tap. Food from Valhalla next door is always good and they bring it over for you. A great stop if your looking for a drink and some soccer.
