Where is Le Bain?

REVIEWS OF Le Bain IN New York

João Rafael Brites

Super disappointed with my experience at the Le Bain - came with a few friends and the Le Bain staff was super rude and discriminatory. We were always super nice and respectful, but were greeted by their staff as if we were less humans than any of them. What a shame Le Bain.

Kris B

Place was super cool! 2 floors make it awesome to choose where you want to hang out with different music options. There is a small jacuzzis/pool in the main room that outlooks over the city. The upper floor is 1/2 outdoors with an amazing …

Micael Magalhaes

My favorite club in NYC. Just a wonderful experience always. My favorite days are Sundays and Tuesdays! Get ready for some good cocktails and dance the night away.

Gavin Kenville

Bouncer tried to grope me

Aurora Vintilescu

Great rooftop, but they make it so hard to get in, not sure if it’s worth all the effort :)

Diana Karam

Worst experience of my life. Called and asked if i needed a reservation, the lady told me no, and no cover charge. Get to the place, and the rude guy at the door told us we werent allowed in because we werent on the DJs list. We were a group of fifteen people, never will ever make the mistake of going there again.

Álvaro Morán

Worst excuse ever the DJ guest list

Carlos Aragon

One of my favorite places to have a great time and dance the night away! The drinks could seem pricey for some but their taste and liquor is definitely worth it! The view is breathtaking!

Sonny Dela Gente

One of my favourite rooftops in NYC.. Deffo a must see and I bet you'll also make it one of your go to hotspots after just one visit!

Scott Wilezol

I liked it here. Great views of all over... midtown, financial district and jersey city. Great music. Good pours on the drinks. Prices were normal. No complaints. This is what i would expect if i were to go to a roof time club in NYC. No egregious cover. I would return when i was back in the area!

blqcreative B

Fabulous club, with an amazing skyline view up on the roof top which also includes a juquzi

damon peters

Not sure why any reviews would be lower than five stars. Access is easy and free. Drinks are well priced for Manhattan rooftops. View is outstanding.

N & T D Co

The door man Refuse to let me in ,Because he didn’t like my Background Race ! It’s a Discrimination Shame on you !!!

Gigi B

Amazing views. Great music. Always a good DJ lineup. I would love it more if drinks weren't so pricey. Can't beat the views from up top

DanThuy Chu

Went out with my friends here the other day! The location itself is super nice (inside and up on the roof) and the drinks are good but what makes this place stand out to me is how nice the staff actually is for a night time scene. Everyone was super friendly!

RayVon Williams

I came for a party that was posted publicly on Facebook and Resident Advisor (a popular site for electronic music venues). When I get to the door they ask why I'm here as if I'm not suppose to be there. I told them I'm here for a DJ that was posted on Resident Advisor and they said I have to be on the DJs list to get in. There was no mention of any guest list on any posting, all while they are just letting people walk in. I don't want to bring race into the issue BUT everyone that was walking in just so happened to be white (and checking no guest list for these people) and I'm black. Coincidence?

Achraf Ayad

They wanted to allow only the girls in our group in but for guys it's "invitation only" without posting anything about it on their website. The bouncers were also very rude about it while just letting other people in.

Kim St-Jean

Waiting 2 hours for the roof

firat bekcili

I would give 0 if I could .. nice view but very poor and bad management.. I was there yesterday. its 2 floors place. I was at the roof, second floor first. I got 2 cocktails and they were OK but not perfect. then I went to downstairs and asked the same cocktail and it was totally different and there was no alcohol in it. Kindly, I asked to bartender to change or add alcohol but he rejected in a very rude way (his name is Koi, I guess, pls do not tip him) I asked him to call the manager. One guy came with a hat, jean etc. very informal dressed guy, I explained the same thing to him but he rejected in a more rude way and he called the bodyguards even though I was so polite.. 2 bodyguards came who are only big guys physically but empty heads.. they were looking for trouble but again I was so polite .. I said to manager to change or refund my money, he said its impossible, it doesn't work like that etc. etc. If i insisted, the bodyguard would attack me, I'm sure and I left the place .. Please do not go! expensive for nothing, there is no respect, they want to cheat you, that's all about this place! NYC is full of rooftops, you don't need this crooks! I will ask my journalist friend to write about them on the newspaper too!!

Armand Niemand

Myself and 20 of my friends were in line , and everybody got declined. This is absolute ridiculous ... We always bring money to this club ... And they said they cant let us in. Just because we dont have a reservation... for wat? Cause we going into a public place. I wont recommend this place to anyone. Dont go there!!!

Shelli Kashriel

Staff is very rude and treats you like absolute trash. Just not a good a time at all.

Priyank Agrawal

It has the best view!

Nicolas Pascual

Great views, nice electronic music and a good terrace. Prices are standard to NYC roof tops.

Kirtan Patel

The bouncers at the establishment are extremely racist. Simply the worst place in NYC to have drinks or a good time. The bouncer literally assaulted a friend of mine and it was uncalled for.

Oz Oz

AMAZING DURING NY FASHION WEEK MY FRIENDS HAD EVENTS

mohamed chaouachi

Amazing club Great views

Liv Vam Der Berg

Cool Diskothek with nice People. Good Cocktails. Nice Snacks.

Brian Pincus

After waiting in line on a Wednesday, couldn't get in because we didn't know someone who works at the club. Great to have such a prejudice in NYC.

Tessa Claire

Queue was ridiculous long, so many Huns in heels - you don't need to wear them. Let me in with my Irish ID which is handy so I didn't have to bring out my passport. The club is cool with a MASSIVE horse, cocktails are $14 and overrated. …

Анастасия Митрощук

The bouncer is extremely rude. He didn’t look up once when we were speaking to him, and then stamped our arms like he was trying to break them. Very unprepared for the rooftop season. There’s no manager or host or any visible staff member on the floor. Cocktail server never brought water (after 7 reminders) and only got check after begging her to cash us out. We all live in Nyc and definitely will avoid this place

Merav Ronel

Lovely spot, a rooftop bar with an amazing view & nice seatings. We spent the afternoon hours there and enjoyed it very much. You can find a nice spot on the mattress seats and look at the amazing view. Note that the best place is one floor higher, above the jacuzzi bar.

Som Prem

The bouncer is super racist. My group wasn't allowed because we were brown This is so sad. We treat them so well in our country. Super sad. Don't go to this place

Kadie Murphy

I originally was hesitant about visiting because of all the reviews about how hard it was to get in, but we were let right in. I will say I did hear them turn other groups away. We were "dressed the part," though. I was super excited to go up to the rooftop because of the anticipation and build up of everyone being turned away. But the rooftop was semi unimpressive. 230 Fifth had a much better view, and gallow green was beautiful, so I'd recommend those over Le Bain.

Michael Kling

Overpriced drinks, great views, but do not attempt to go if theres a wait outside. Its really not worth it. The people who control the line are rude and unprofessional (see more below). Waited 1 hour in line. When I arrived at the door, they switched the status of our line from "general admission" to "invite only." The bouncers (Hunter and Steve) laughed at our faces as if it were a joke. I get it's a popular bar, albeit overpriced -- and if you get up top the view is amazing (I've been several times before) -- but the experience of trying to just get inside really isn't worth it. I hope this place hires new people to control the queue outside. It really can ruin your night. Shameful.

Rami Jawhar

If you don't jump in the hot tub, you have not been to le bain. Different nights attract different crowds. During summer nights the rooftop is open with water beds and mini jacuzzi's to enjoy your cocktail with a view.

Raquel Lauterjung

Come for the view. Not for the service. It’s Saturday 6pm, the place is not even crowded, only 2 bartenders super slow. We’ve been trying to get a beer for 40min, so we decided to leave - sad.

Aayushi Mehrotra

Can't believe the level of discrimination. Why aren't more people talking about this/reacting to it?

Trenton Monges

It’s a dirty club with overpriced drinks. Staff are rude and dismissive. This is one of those places where you just can’t get in despite absolutely no line. They won’t give you a reason. Everytime I’ve been inside, its been underwhelming. I’d check out one of the many other great clubs in NYC. You wont get your moneys worth here and you won’t be treated well at all.

Lauren Garoppo

The bouncers were incredibly rude to my friends and I for no apparent reason as we were not drunk or belligerent and tried to be as nice as possible. Our politeness meant nothing to the guy at the door arrogantly scolding us for not reserving ahead and acting like we tried to waltz into the nicest restaurant in Manhattan on a whim.

Maitrayiee Palwe

Rude and extremely racist staff. It's amazing that it's almost 2020 and nobody is saying more about this. My husband and our friends were publicly belittled and humiliated at the entrance. We weren't drunk or did not create a scene, we simply asked what this mysterious guest list that only applies to colored people came from. Never going near this place.

Miranda Shneyder

Awful place!! Super rude staff starting from the bouncers and finishing with the bartenders! They are always aggressive and arrogant! The venue itself is nice, but everything is so expensive and it's always overcrowded. The mixed drinks and cocktails are nothing special. Overall I don't recommend this place, there are way better options for a nice rooftop/nightclub experience around!

Jeff Thompson

There is no one that is nice here. It's not worth it. -1 stars

Tapan Desai

I really liked this place. We got in around 11 and there was a short queue to get in. The place has two floors- the first one is a club with a pool inside while the second is their rooftop bar. The club was empty when we got in since everyone was on the roof. This place has some ridiculous views overlooking the Hudson. The drinks are a bit pricey but really nice. The crowd is really fun. Definitely coming back!

Felis Loyata

Love this club! Great views from both floors! Main floor with groovy music and a jacuzzi right under a giant disco ball. ^_^ Top floor is a real open air rooftop with its own bar (smoking allowed). Drinks are strong, stuff very friendly. Lots of great foto opportunities ;-) Easy to get in even on a saturday (before 11pm).

Ray Isaac

Just got to Le Bain for Suzanne’s on top party. Firstly they made me wai 6 minutes for the lift to come and then as soon as I came in I was shooting a live video for my 90k fans so I grabbed this electric light and held the light up to my face as it’s so dark up here I was trying to tell my fans where I was and then this guy (African American guy (maybe a manager) with an ear piece and Walky talky tells me not to touch the light and I said ”I can’t see”. He says don’t touch it. So you know what I did, I deleted the video. Rude and disrespectful. Grow up it’s a plastic light. Suzanne I’m sorry but I won’t come here if I’m gonna be treated this way. Love your work xx

Sahil Pardeshi

I used to love Le Bain and was one of the places I recommended all my friends for quite a while but today was the final straw. Le Bain is pretty discriminative. They won't allow minorities in unless they are women. This has happened multiple times now. If I am by myself going waiting to join my friends (who are inside ) I will be turned away for the stupidest reasons. If I am with my white friends entry is not a problem. If I am with other minorities but they don't like the girl to boy ratio turned away. If I am with a group and there is only one white girl entry is not a problem. Today I was turned away because they were doing invitations only. They were okay with the folks before and after because they were white. On top of that my friends told me it was not even busy inside so not sure why the hate. For people who like places who like being turned away because the entry folks are on power trips or places that discriminate against minorities this is the perfect place. Or if you are a non minority woman.

patrick belli

Some of the best easy access views. Line might be long but moves fast, and friendly staff overall. Rooftop crepes in the summer only further compliment the view

Jan Manuelle Leon Gil

Great view of the city in the sky deck and nice dark atmosphere with lights for dancing.

Mike Jones

Summary: Don't Go to The Grill As a former employee, the food there was amazing. Then they try to switch it. 3 managers quit and GM left, even the head chef. Customers constantly complain of the new menu. Also, new managers are micromanagers and don't respect employees. Don't waste your money on the overpriced food, and help your servers by telling how bad management truly is! Do go to LeBain though

William Ipsan

Strong drinks, chill vibe, not too many people, great club/lounge hybrid. Beautiful view of the skyline. No cover when I went. The crowd is stylish and open. Would definitely visit again

Valerie D

Cool place with amazing views. My husband and I were asked if we knew who the DJ was but noted we were visiting from Canada and they allowed us in. We did witness them turn away others in front of us but we got lucky. Chill fun vibe and would go back.

Gelbert Ramos

They asked me for reservation in the entrance. Which does not make sense cuz my friends were already inside and they didnt ask them that. I've been in this establishment for long time and it's the 1st time they ask me for reservation. They should treat everyone with respect. It's the last time I spend money there... Pretentious, overpriced, and overcrowded rooftop. Avoid this place.

Atul Poharkar

The worst experience we have ever had.

Matt sharpe

Absolutely perfection. Staff is not that bad as stated before..actually had a really funny interaction with one of the bouncers who made my night with his relaxed humor. The drinks are strong and not expensive at all..no cover on a friday night!? Le Bain you are the best club in NYC. P.s. my girlfriend and i are hotter than you betchhh

Dennis Kemperman

Really liked this place. Went during the day and had no trouble coming in, even though I was wearing shorts (they're probably much more strict in the evening). This place has a great view and reasonably priced and very good crepes!

Vee Kay

Helpful hints: 1. View is amazing, you can see the skyline through their glass windows. 2. There's a roof top too, which is beautiful as well 3. But the Music is not that great because they play more of original instrumental rave remixes & not popular songs that people dance on. 4. There is a Jacuzzi in the Club.

Fahad Ali

Avoid this place. They’re selective on the door. There are much better places around that block in meatpacking so head there instead.

Avz Trem

This establishment is racist and prejudiced plain and simple. As a person of color not only was I denied entry over some “private event,” (which in fact appears to be made up), I was demeaned and insulted by a person at the door. All I was trying to do was meet up with a friend inside; I said nothing aside from politely giving my friend’s name and was belittled and told to “get lost”. I’m not sure if the fellow at the door was employed by the club itself, but it disgusts me that an establishment can treat people this way or condone this kind of outrageous behavior in the 21st century. My recommendation: avoid at all costs, particularly if you care an ounce about social equality and inclusivity. This place will never have my business!!

Jimmy Edwards

Great rooftop bar with amazing views of Manhattan. We went at around 7pm on a Sunday night and there was no queue but slowly got busier so I’d bare that in mind if you only want one or two casual drinks. Prices were around €15 for a cocktail.

Suzanne McDaniels

Couldn't even get in. The bouncers are rude and only let people in based on age and whorish appearance. All I wanted to do was SPEND money on drinks and dance with my friend

Jane Lansky

I wish i could give 0 starts. There is a new bouncer, he was working the line on a thursday, he is tall ish skinny and white. This guy was exceptionally rude to one of my friends asking her how drunk she was and if she could pass a "sobriety test" on a night out.. we not trying to drive a car just get in the club. i plan to tell all my friends never to go to this club ever, and i will spread the word.

christine carvajal

Beautiful views ... great music, diverse crowd

Evgenia Gorelik

Don't go near that place!! The guy at the entrance was very rood, we came dressed nicely (dresses of course) as to a good place, but was rudely offered to come back tomorrow mid-day as we ain't good enough for your night parties?! Other girls in jeans walked in! Why? Cuz they had heels? Were prettier in his eyes?! Also no people of color were allowed. All the rece comments- damn true!!

Tere GB

I've been taking friends who visit from out of town to LeBain. It's a fun time especially in groups. The music varies on the night. The pool is always fun and the view is great. There's two levels so those definitely worth seeing. The crowd is mainly tourist, but it's still a fun time. Drinks are good, but expect the average for a drink $20. It's one of the places you have to visit when you're in NYC.

Paula Damasceno Santos

Amazing sunset! Free to go inside, drinks just as expensive as any other rooftop or nice bar in Manhattan, beautiful people and great atmosphere! Super recommend

Yury T

The view is okay, but the place is small and funky (not in a good way). Not that good by NY’s standards, especially since the Gansavort is a block away.

Sagar Shah

It is a very snooty and overrated place. I would not recommend anyone to go here. Pretentious and hypocritical with New York clubs. There are so many better ones. They are quite racist, rude and unfriendly. Thumbs down!

Manish Lasod

Real bad real bad Total non sense.... total waste Not at all Accommodating and says you have to be on guest list to enter.... but nothing was mentioned when we callled ahead and confirmed

Jose Daniel Rosa

It’s good place but also is very crowded on the weekend! I’m recommend to go there on the week to see the sunset!

Billy Blaha

Most of the reviews complain about the bouncers — if they make the “its invite only” excuse, that’s their way of telling you that you didn’t get in. I can’t exactly figure out the perfect way to actually gain entrance as I’ve been denied myself plenty of times as well, but generally, having a group of 1 or 2 gay men + a bunch of beautiful ladies usually works pretty well. Definitely draws a pretty young crowd.

Peter Stones

Beautiful place, but with awful staff! And to be honest I don't want to be rasist, but this Chinese guy that he is supposed to be BOUNCER ruined the whole experience for the whole group! He was so aggresive and rude, we were group of 10 people and he did not let 2 of our friends to get in! So we immediately get out of this place! We've been there few times and we had no problems at all! The price is overpriced and overcrowded with awful service! Definitely don't recommend this place, don't waste your time and money!

Chandell Gadbois

Cool place with great views. But this bar should be $$$$ we could not believe the prices.

Sanchana Vasikaran

Always a good time - one of the best views in my opinion. During summer days they have a small crepe spot on the roof! Not the best crepes, but still somewhat satisfying haha.

Omar Reid

This place is a must see and definitely a NY highlight! From the moment we walked up, we were greeted by at least 3-4 people and immediately taken in and treated like VIP! The bar tenders are upbeat, friendly and talented! Drinks are awesome, ambiance is beautiful and the music is perfect! I loved this place and will bring all my "out of towners" here! This will now be my go 2 spot!

Paulo Bud

It's a disco club and bar at the top of Standard Hotel. Great view, good service.

Iram Gonzalez

I visited for the first time on August 16. We were a party of 5 celebrating a wedding. We arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and had no trouble going in. There was a lack of communication as to whether the enclosed bar was open or not so we went upstairs and asked for a place to sit. They accommodated us and provided a nice shaded area and brought us a menu. We let the cocktail server know we were celebrating, made small talk and told us she’d be back. She didn’t come back. No one did. So we went to the bar and were asked if we were ready. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and they brought them to us. No one checked in us when we wanted more. We returned to the bar. Ordered beer and shots, we had to bring them to our seats. We returned to the bar and ordered another bottle of wine and the cocktail waitress brought it to us but didn’t open it. As she walked away I asked if she would open the bottle and she didn’t know how... it was a pop top bottle of wine and she didn’t know how to pop it open. A lady working there, wearing all black approached us and opened the bottle. Again, no one checked on us or asked if we wanted more drinks. We decided to leave and upon asked for my check. I was handed my card and the signature copies but not an itemized receipt. I immediately thought I was overcharged so I asked for the itemized receipt and saw gratuity had been included but I wasn’t told. It felt underhanded of their staff to do that. If you’re going to charge a premium for your product. You have to back it up with excellent guest service and that immensely fell short. Nice place for views but don’t hold your breath on getting adequate service.

Konrad Tempel

Went there twice while in NYC and had a great time! Amazing view and good vibes...

Cassandra Saccardo

What can I say.. Great view from the rooftop bar cool pool inside the dance area. Sadly quite expensive but worth a visit for sure!

REGINA OU

Love hanging out here, nice view nice pool, and no cover

Sara Lucia

The view is amazing, the vibe is very chilled and cool. However the music was a bit bland, difficult to dance to and a bit boring so we left

Stalin Approves

The only positive reviews are from tourists visiting their first rooftop, avoid this place at all costs, it’s going to be a huge disappointment after you visit other venues.

Ethan Jinks O'Sullivan

"You need to know the DJ" - I've been here before with friends. Since when do I need to know a DJ just to get into a club at this late in the hour (2:00 AM)? Do yourself a favor and mark this off your list as another nightclub that will just disappoint you.

Eunice Abreu

I loved this place. The view is excellent.

Amir H. Sadoughi

Well, I haven't been to the place, just came across it as I was looking, but the outstanding amount of reviews here talking about discrimination and zero responses (or obviously concerns) from the owners is good enough for me to rank them poorly. Not that it will change anything about the way this establishment is being run, but maybe some who see this would stop standing in the line to be "judged" by the bouncer based on the looks later.

Irene Palacios

LOVE THIS PLACE! Great vibes, great crowd, great music and of course there's a hot tub you can jump into the middle of the club. Wanna dry off? Upstairs is this gorgeous open spaced roof top with a sight that will hold in your photographic memory forever. You want to come dressed nice, no sweats or things of that sort. It is New York City you want to always look your best.

Jhann H

People be advice they let people in base on the list.

Elvis Santos

Great atmosphere. Great vibe. Awesome rooftop. Definitely a must for people to go. But the DJ was not that great. Played the same “techno” music all day. Never switches up to different genre music and doesn’t cater to the audience. Need a DJ that plays diverse music as well.

Victor Lebrault

I had a lovely time at the top of the standard hotel. Amazing view and kind people.

Nauman Rafique

Outdoor patio, indoor pool, an crepes for late night food and amazing views. All that makes it the best party in town.

5 panels

The views were the best part, other than that so many reviews mention the same issues that I faced that I just don't feel like typing it again

Jane Lee

Music there were quite not my type(to kany minor code songs...?) but love this place because I can meet lots of people from different part of the world witb nice night view! Not super convenient location but okay.

Nae

Good view VS. worst customer service — you choose. So, it was my friend’s birthday party. We called them a week before to make a reservation and was only told that they do NOT take any reservation. We walked in and 9 girls were able to get in. But three guy friends were rejected saying it’s only for “invited guests.” We argued that a big group of friends are already up there. This male manager or whoever he was said, “who doesnt make a reservation for a big group? I don’t know where you guys are from (We were a bunch of Asian Americans/Asians). You need to make a reservation.” It was the worst rooftop experience. We calmly explained our situation that we tried to make a reservation prior to the arrival several times. But the guy treated his customer poorly. We would not have stayed there unless other friends were inside already. The view was great. But I don’t think I would go back to this rooftop when there are so many other great rooftops in Manhattan.

Chad K Smith

I live this place! It has one of the best views of the island of Manhattan. You can see from Jersey to Brooklyn, and enjoy it is one of the funnest bars in town. The music is always good and the crowd is always fashionable. That being said, they are a little steep with their drink prices. If you can, make sure to catch the sunset here!

Soni Animucka

DEAR Mr. Andre Balazs, I would like to start of by saying, I respect you for your Chateau Marmont acquisition in 1990 as it was a great investment. However, I regret to inform you of our bad experience for your establishment “Le Bain”. I have been to Le Bain on several occasions and never had any issues with entry. Last night, my wife and I got to the door at approximately 1 AM. Our friends were already inside awaiting our arrival as it was my wife’s birthday. Please note there were only about 5-6 patrons ahead of us in line. We were greeted by an Asian lad who had the nastiest attitude I have encountered in the hospitality field ever!!! This individual seriously looked, dressed & smelled like one of the many Occupy Wall Street pond scum I used to step over while walking thru Zuccati Park on way to work on 14 Wall! My wife & I were dressed “IMMACULATE TO THE” we are the ideal clientele any upscale and/ or 5 star establishment would love to have in their establishment. FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!! MY WIFE AND I WERE REFUSED ADMISSION! This unprofessional doorman asked us if we were guests of the DJs. If not, we had to be part of a guest list. there is no Guest list !! I saw men ahead of us getting inside your establishment with a loose shirt hanging out his pants. Since we were neatly dressed with classy shoes, we get refused entry and told to get off his line. If you are still planning to visit this place, my advice is use your dirtiest attire and old shoes, and you won’t have no issues getting in. Don’t dress to impress, apparently doorman doesn’t like classy dressed people. In conclusion, this “doorman” should be the last person in charge of the door. We saw him let other people waiting on line without any questions and they were not in VIP. This man discriminates people; ruining the club and hotel’s reputation. As I read other reviews, I see MANY other patrons have the same issue. Le Bain, get rid of this doorman before patrons sign a petition or a discriminatory lawsuit!! Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

Geoffroy Païs

The place is very well situated! The view is great and the decoration as well! But the drinks are very basic for the price...they don’t serve draft beer, only in cans ($10 each, without tips...but don’t worry the waiter will remind you that point)...and this rooftop is full of young student!

nycgemini7222

Weird crowd, bathroom is in another building practically, can barely hear the music, all kinds of riff raff individuals about...can’t see myself going back there. The plus however, is the breathtaking views of jersey city (not saying much) lower Manhattan and parts of midtown area.

Miles Holling

Good company, chill vibes, and nice views.

Liav Horwitz

Probably my favorite rooftop in the city with great view good bar beautiful dance floor the music is a hit or miss

Alyssa Ng

Pretentious, overcrowded, and overpriced. Not worth it. For those who say this is “standard NY prices” are clearly not from NYC. As a native New Yorker, I can attest there are plenty of better bars with better crowds (Restoration Hardware, Catch, Brass Monkey, etc).

Jorge Sanchez

BEST place yo take some drinks un nyc

brian morales

Horrible service never ever coming back

Logan Kyte

Trash establishment. Drinks were watered down and staff was extremely unfriendly

André Fontoura

Favorite rooftop in NY.

Eric van nus

You won't be let in. Somehow find a way to get on guest list, even though it is not advertised at all, you need it to get in. Sad and genuinely dissapointing. Go somewhere else. Seriously.

Sarkis Grigoryan

Ok so this place is great. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is due to the music that is played here. The dj needs to change up his selection of music. It is some instrumental rave music but it does not bring good energy. I think the selection should be a combination of dance music and mashups. If they make the improvement with music then this place will have unlimited potential and will definitely be one of the best clubs anyone in New York may have attended.

Brian Lowe

I went to Le Bain yesterday and waited in line for an hour. Once I finally made it to the door, the woman stamping people to go inside nastily asked me “what party are you here for?” I answered “I am here to celebrate pride and go to the rooftop and have some drinks with friends.” She says sorry i cannot accommodate you and dismissed me and my friends embarrassing us in front of a line full of people. It is a shame to have nasty miserable people representing such a beautiful establishment.

alan klein

Would give them 0 stars for discriminatory way of doing business. But unfortunately Google doesn't allow less. Its unbelievable how in NYC IN 2018 Such behavior is still entertained! My story: Been to Le bain in the past and never saw this. We arrived to a party and checked online prior to arrival if this was an exclusive event and their site said nothing of the sort. We get to the doorman and he asks if we are on the guest list or a guest of the dj. As we were not we responded that we are not. He went on saying that its required to in ordered to join the event. We walked away politely and observed how he said nothing of the sort for the next 25-30 guests that were in line. This amount of inequality is uncalled for ans hope this place either changes their door policy or suffers the consequences all the others that operate on this manner suffered.

Meat Man

Absolute trash place. Bouncers are a bunch of idiots had a group of 19 people and 1 person of the group couldnt get in. So it ruined the night. I would recommend never going there

Frank Eisenlohr

Worst door policy ever. We called around 5pm they told us we could walk in. Were on the subway for sbothrr. Get there at 6 - no line at all: "sorry it's private only". And we don't get in.

Giancarlo Salamanca

Insanely pretentious doorman. Such a shame!

Kevin Olivera

Trash , went there to spend money with clients , was denied for literally no reason . Happily went to near by Gansevoort rooftop and spent our money where it was appreciated. Chinese door guy at le Bain seems to have chip on his shoulder when you deny guys willing to get vip table because of not having name on guest list ?? Lol those days are over we are here to spend money dummies . Try to avoid this place , not worth the wait or headache .

Paras Ghelani

Been here twice, and though the views are great and the music is often good, the ‘door discretion’ is arbitrary and from what others say, shallow, and most probably racist. The doorman last night was extremely rude. He refused to look at my Eventbrite tickets for the Moodymann Detroit Love night (a few minutes after opening at 10:15pm, so they definitely weren’t at capacity) as they used ‘their’ list which my name wasn’t on. Hostile attitude and complete lack of decency. Spend your money elsewhere.

Recommend to visit their rooftop in summer. It’s great and pretty relax. Enjoy the view while lay on the sofa. Come early before 10pm if you want to find seats.

Carola Berato

This is one of my favorite rooftop in the city, whenever I have friends coming to visit I usually take them to Le Bain. The great thing here is that they have both outdoor and indoor space. The place is quite pricey, but I would say as …

Zaven Galstyan

Absolutely the coolest spot to enjoy the city views, nice music and friendly people. The only con is $$$$ drinks . But hey it NYC Meatpacking !!

Miyuki Abe

I arrived there around 10:30PM and they had a line outside but it moved really quickly. I'm not sure how they decide which group or couple can get in or not but I guess it is safe to go there with group of girls ;) I went there in the mid April. They close their pool and roof top bar was closed too. You can still go upstairs to see the view. The view was good and drink price was decent (normal rooftop bar price). The only part I really hated was coat check and elevator hall area. The space is so tiny and it is packed with both people coming in and leaving. Plus, coat check person said I cannot bring a bag with me but the person next to me was allowed to bring in even though our bags were same size... No idea what is going on. Guess just go there for view and don't expect anything else lol

So today my friends and I tried to go to #Lebain and they were so discriminatory! They told us there was a private event which I completely understand but let others who do not look like me in. I went to the 3 individuals at the door and talked to them. I said that I enjoy this establishment and my friends and I feel discriminated against. They guy said as a gay man if I felt that way I wouldn't frequent this establishment. Two other individuals were there and they simply dismissed my concern. I mean for a place in NYC to be discrematory against people of colors it's crazy! I contacted their corporate offices 3 times and had the individual hang up on me. You would think in 2018 a company would take a complaint of discrimation more serious! I wanted to speak to someone and they said they are reservations and would have my email sent to the manager but had no assurances that a manager would contact me. I asked the correspondent ma'am for quality assurances will you allow me to repeat my issue so it's recorded and she hung up on me. Twice. I did not feel heard. There was no opportunity or assurances that I would actually speak to a person about discrimination. This was an incredibly humiliating experience. I just want to be a human and hang with my friends in NYC but to have the color of my skin dictate where I'm able to hang out with my friends is humiliating. After having attained a PhD and working so hard in life, my skin color still dictates the way people view me. This was such a reductive experience. This is so sad that this has to be life. #discrimination @lebainnyc #racism #sad

Lived in the United States long enough to know that some places are race exclusive. Dark skin people are not welcome here. Two brown guys at opening time are a no, but two white guys are fine. This place is for light skinned people.

Jack Daniels

If you are fan of overcrewded and overhyped rooftop bars with a nice view that bar is probably for you! In my experience the drinks are overpriced and watered! The bouncers and the staff in general are extremly rude and aggressive! The venue itself is really good with nice view, the restrooms are nice and clean with nice view aswell, but the managment of this place is terrible! Those bouncers have to be fired!

William Salguero

Is amazing place I had great time is so beautiful and I can't wait to go back I love it

Eric Guggi

Horrible front door staff

Matt Williams

One of the cooler bars I’ve been to in New York. Great views (even in the bathroom). Atmosphere and rooftop are really sweet. Haven’t been there during the day yet but hear it’s a must for day drinking.

Sushan Thapa

Disappointed with the price of entry for what is it. It was my first time that i went there entrance was $75. I love the top of the standard next to it and had a lot of expectations.

الباحث عن الحقيقة

Very rude staff! I went there and the doorman (Chinese guy) didn't let me enter and said " I need a name! Have a good night " I called them to ask about that and they said " It's a doorman decision" :)

Krzysztof Goldy

Positively surprised! We went there at 6pm on Sunday on a beautiful warm evening. It seems like to be the perfect timing: no wait time to get in there plus perfect viewing point of the sunset. Music was really good, felt just right. We got two Jim Beams with Coke for, I think $24 total. The pool/jacuzzi looked actually clean and very tempting. Very Good NYC rooftop experience overall.

Mario T

Awesome spot and amazing view. Come here during golden hour on a non-cloudy day, the sunsets here are amazing as the light comes in and bounces off from the bar and indoor pool, plus great light for a selfie. That or go out on the balcony to capture the city bathed in gold— honestly I just come for the views. As for the food, it’s expensive and ok, and the drinks are expensive but the experience makes it worth it.

Pablo Ruiz

After waiting for 10 mins at a random queue we were told that we couldn’t go in, ‘cause we weren’t on the DJs list, whereas some underage teens where allowed to enter

Vicky Gonzales

This place was so different then usual big party club. Amazing view and such cool vibes. Be sure to follow them on Instagram

Dany Gauvin

Arrogant doorman, won’t let you come in if you’re not “invited”.

Nicolai von Kruedener

I love it!

בר חזן

it’s a beautiful rooftop with good music, It’s a gay club, for some reason it’s not mentioned.

Praneet Aneja

I hate places where you openly encourage racism and misogymy- this club is everything what USA shouldnt stand for. Keep away if you want to have a good time - encourage diversity, freedom and love - besides the music. This spark of madness is clearly missing from the hell of their own divine ...

Artem Lobov

One of the worst places to go on Friday night in the city! This place is overcrowded and overpriced! There is huge lines infront of it, and the bouncers decides whoever goes in or no! If you are bigger group they count how many girls there are and some other ridicalous things! I can't believe in 2019 there is such a thing like that! The bouncers especially the Asian one(don't want to be rasist) he was so rude and aggressive with no reason! I will definetly not come back to this place! They did not let half of our group to get in!

Paul Obrejan

Take to heart all the negative reviews. They really are on point. They’re “selective” as others have pointed out. Couldn’t get in because they were taking “invitations” at 9:30pm? And yet a group of white girls I had just talked to got in without any no problem....lol I’m sure the view is great up there n all but if this how the place is, you can mark it as a bust

Maya Grice

So much fun. Don’t forget your swimsuit

Frank Pulliza

Great rooftop bar, excellent cocktails.

Elad Katz

Great views, but kinda douchy

Kevin Steele

I know you care less about people and more about looks. I had a suit on and everything. This Chinese guy at the door asks me if I had a reservation. Just called there is no reservation. You know that's a lot of ignorance right there. They …

Amir Hermelin

Don't go - pricey, lousy, and bad entrance watch dogs!

FORMS

Dope dancehall/reggae night tonight!!!

Sarah Watanabe

This was my go to place a few summers ago. The view is absolutely gorgeous especially at night and it's lovely sitting outside on the terrace enjoying a drink and chitchatting with the other patrons. The crowd that Le Bain draws (in my experience) is fun, always open to chatting with strangers and understands that you, too, want to take a picture of this incredible city. It is a bit hard to get drinks as the night continues but there are a few bars that you can go to.

Anand Sundaram

mmm

Yael Shimshi

Fyi - no flipflops allowd

F MJ

Fantastic view. Service ok, not very helpful. In the end we opted for self-service at the bar.

Adam torres

Very cool rooftop bar with a great view of downtown manhattan and surrounding areas. The music is good. The seating arrangements are great for large and small groups. The drinks were good too.

Mike Fienco

One of my favorite spots in the city. Amazing venue for any weekend.

Tereza Suarez

Very rude customer service and this is coming only from the asian bouncer who is working there. He is out of his mind and i have seen him a couple of time and everyone have a problem with him. Can you just remove him so we can enjoy our evening???

Vincent Quashie

Not bad felt really tight and like everyone came with their girlfriends and boyfriends not a place to meet new people it seems. Very clickie.
