Very bad experience here. Came in last night and the old hag nasty bartender was unbelievably rude. If I was the owner, she would be fired immediately, as she is without a doubt hurting your business. On the flip side, the security guys at the door were very professional and courteous. I could tell by the way they acted that the nasty hag bartender commonly causes issues like she did last night.

Kicked out of the bar because 1 guy thought I was gay. I thought it was funny he saw me as gay, considering these "ol' country" bars don't attract new young tail. He didn't see my joke as funny with another man and put his nose in my business. So I started acting like a homosexual towards him to piss him off and when he acted out I "cock eyed" (pun intended) back at him and being the white man I am said very vulgar homosexual things to him in Spanish until he raised his voice like a little homophobic "touched by my uncle" type and being a guy with more people (all guys) than I was with the bartender undoubtedly took his side and kicked me out. It's a good place minus the extremely violent and homophobic atmosphere surrounding it. Welcome to the south.

Love this place been going here for 24 years and I personally can say this is my favorite place here in cbad even as the town grows patrons come and go the shade has and always will be a place not only myself but that all walks of life can go and unwind play game pool shuffle board darts or just relax n chill. With one of many drink choices.. Love the shade one thing that would be really nice Miss owner lady who's awesome is a special place clearly March with a shade for all motorcyclist cuz you know we all love you guys so took out with some shade for their bikes you know are not we'll still be coming there

Was working in NM and googled biker bar near me and that's how found Shades. Met great people and made my stay worth the 1500 mile trip. Will visit again someday.

The service is TERRIBLE. The add on is nice but the bartenders make me still not want to go. I shouldn't have to wait 15 min to get my order taken and its not that busy. The atmpsphere is outdated. Needs more lights and better music. Most importantly it needs a new staff younger and friendlier would help.

Got drunk but cops showed up. Was gonna finish my game of pool but the place had to close. They were nice enough to give us both a dollar in quarters for our loss. Amazing place and will return here and only here. Best bar in town. People just have to stop getting violent and getting cops called.
