Unless you are a regular don't join a competition because I had the most applause and still lost to someone that clearly did not get as much of a applause cause they go there all the time. Would not recommend it to anyone not will I ever go there again. Sorry I'm not a drunk and spend all my money there and I'm not gay.

Element feels safer than other bars in Manchester the crowd feels welcoming and entertaining while other bars feel cold and sad. I recommend this bar for karaoke and fun and less sardine processing.

Came in tonight and was highly disappointed. It’s been a few years since I have been in and I asked for two Hendricks Gin and Chambord Martinis and was charged $36.00 after the bartender scrutinized my companion’s ID (a valid NH issued ID) for and inordinate amount of time and finally spouted out “Its ok for tonight” What does that even mean? Either it’s a valid ID which it was or not!As if this wasn’t insulting enough, the bartender then spoke condescendingly to me acting like I couldn’t afford to pay for the aforementioned martinis after he made them. Fact is, I make plenty, bartending just like him (but without the attitude) and FOH managing a restaurant myself, as well as running my own successful business; and if my staff ever spoke to a guest that way I would fire them on the spot. In baby talk, I was mansplained that Hendricks is $9.00 and Chambord is $7.00 plus the cost of Pineapple Juice. While the other bartender mouthed I’m so Sorry Behind his back, clearly mortified as any self- respecting customer service industry representative would be. Really? 2.5 oz Hendricks plus .5 oz Chambord and a splash is pineapple is $14.00 ( Don’t act shocked I know the pour... I have made it 7000 times) at the most expensive restaurants in New York and Your Lead Bartender who is in dire need of a personality bypass telling me that when I got it there it was watered down and I didn’t know the difference doesn’t cut it! I honestly never leave bad reviews, but as a gay man my choices in Manchester are limited and I would pretty much say any dive bar is better than this place.

Being prepared is the key here. Went in about 10pm on pride Saturday night as they were listed as the block party after party place to be and I was actually quite interested to see what changes had taken place since ownership had changed hands. The new bartenders were nice and my drink was mixed properly but it quickly got busy with people who had been drinking for a while and couldn't handle it. Within a short period of time there were multiple scuffles inside the bar that went completely unnoticed by bar staff as they had developed tunnel vision and permaplaque smiles while struggling to keep up with the drink line. I was also shocked to see nothing had been done about the flow of this place which has always been an issue there. I decided to leave and after 30 min in a drink line that barely moved, thankfully a staff member named Jason could see the anxiety I was experiencing( I'm not an anxiety prone person) and was able to fast track my bill so I could leave. I think the staff did all they could but I think the ownership failed. Def should've had a dedicated security staffmember on the floor and possibly another bartender or ones that were slightly better trained for high volume.I repeat though, I saw the failures as ownership and management issues. The staff seemed to do their best.

Contemplated giving it only 1 star but it's a cozy environment... Worst gay bar I've been to. Bartender was extremely rude. Had condoms near the bathroom entrances aka promoting hooking up in their stalls which was definitely happening. Dirty dirty condoms left in the bathrooms. NASTY & UNSANITARY. I was embarrassed to walk out of that bar cause all the drunken drama lortering outside cause the bartender didn't shut off people... Drag queen puked all over the table... Same drag queen falling all over the place WHILE performing and bartender was STILL allowing queen to drink. RIDICULOUS! Dry humping while performing going on on the stage with overly intoxicated people. This bar gives the LGBT community a bad reputation. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

I went personally at a time when there where not many people. However, I appreciate how nice and welcoming everything was. My friend who is trans, though it said male on her lisence was referred to by her appropriate pronouns and it was small things like that I would have to say I love. I like my bars when they are quiet; however, I heard that it is a lot of fun later in the evening when there are more people and events.
