I really love going to Novi's on the weekends. If you are a fan of Country music Novi is definitely the place to be on Friday and Saturday night's. The DJ. Dustin really knows how to get the crowd moving with his awesome Country mix. I really enjoy the atmosphere and line dancing. If you don't want to dance that's okay. The Bartenders there are also great. I recommend Novi's to anyone who's had a rough week and wants to have a great weekend.

I second Liya's review! DJ Dustin Valcalda keeps the atmosphere at NoVi lively and energetic with his masterful reading of the crowd and balanced musical selection. Between line dance and freestyle partner dancing, everyone has a chance to hit the floor and work up a sweat to classic and contemporary country. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area during one of his sets!

Supposed to be a country bar, maybe the owners should visit a real country bar. Very few country songs until 10 pm. Music sucks, nothing to really dance to, been here before and the music was much better. Waitresses were really good.

Night club inside The El Dorado Casino. DJ dance music, lots of energy catering to the younger crowds. I saw 2 bars as well as free lemon water for the patrons. Limited seating is available. Have fun.

This lounge is a joke. Shots are also a joke. Thankfully we only bought two shot of henny because the shot were small like the little cups from dollar store. Not worth the time! Never going there again

The bartender I had, He was awesome! However, Novi needs more seating to make me want to come back. High heels hurt, sometimes women need a break. It's why I rarely go out anymore. If one is unable to relax and enjoy.... why bother?

It is a decently popular bar for Reno located at the heart of the city in the El Dorado. However they have a dress code of no hoods for guys which is incredibly annoying if it is cold out and you wear sweatshirts/jackets to stay warm. The liquor they serve tends to be rather weak. I've been probably a dozen times and don't remember ever getting a strong drink here.

Line dancing at Novi is a blast! The bouncers were good-natured yet still conscientious, which was very reassuring. The DJ was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable; and he even maintains a website where he keeps track of all of the local line dances, complete with step sheets and videos. I used it myself to learn/review some dances, and found it to be a vital resource- I can tell that the DJ not only knows what he's doing, he also cares a lot for his job and his community. If you want to come prepared, look up DVious Entertainment. My only regret is not being able to stay the whole night because the snow delayed our arrival. I can't wait to go back!

After searching around the area for a place to dance, NoVi was awesome. The D.J. played an amazing variety of dance music. Drinks are pricy and the dance floor was VERY packed, but fun and lively!

Several weeks ago I wrote a fantastic review of this place. Unfortunately my review needs to be updated. I used to go to novi every Friday night. The dancing was awesome, the crowd was lively, the music was superb, the drinks were more than affordable. It was a fantastic place to hang out. During the month of April I was out of town every weekend so I wasn't able to show up for about a month. With my traveling finally in the past and a more relaxed schedule, I was able to head to Novi last night, May 17th. In one word? Wow. I was informed that the DJ that was working is now the new starting DJ on Friday nights and this place just isn't the same. At 9:45pm when the place is always packed, it was dead. The music? Not the best at all. Dancing? Almost non-existent. With the little bit of line dance songs the DJ plays, he blends the songs together so you have no idea if one song is ending or another is starting. Absolutely terrible for line dancing. If you're just looking for drinks, those are still affordable with the red cup special so they still have that going for them. As I left at 10pm due to the less than stellar music and lack of dancing, there was a tad bit of a line outside with mostly people probably waiting for the next DJ to start and turn it into a nightclub atmosphere rather than a country bar. This used to be a place where you could line dance, couples dance, enjoy cheap drinks, and enjoy a lively country atmosphere before it turns into a nightclub later in the evening. Not sure what sparked the change for the start of the evening but it definitely has a noticeable effect with the drop in turnout. Won't be back.
