I hate to be so negative about a place with such potential, but they really need the reign in their staff. Shoving patrons around for no reason is assault. And I promise you the woman that man shoved was completely minding her own business.

Located in a building that has housed several failed nightclubs, this new concept may just have what it takes to survive in Reno. 1up has the following, all under one roof: dance floor, DJ booth, bar, pinball machines, arcade games and even an air hockey table. The music definitely focuses heavily on EDM, but the mix is very good. Drinks were reasonably priced, too.

Just might be the spot. As far as Reno nightlife goes this would be average but I see, hear and feel much potential. Great atmosphere techno type place and in line pricing with all others. Off the beaten path but catching on. Younger crowd, cool lights and loud.

Went here during the zombie crawl, even with cups there was a $10/person cover. They said they could charge us even though we had crawl cups (which are supposed to make you exempt for cover charges) because they weren’t part of the crawl. Apparently you can be on the crawl map, be listed as one of the bar seats in the crawl, and not be part of the crawl. Bouncer also let a few people cut in front of us because they paid him off.

1up is always bringing in the freshest talent, from house to heavy bass. There has been so many new artist that I am so glad they brought because they end up blowing my mind or it's an artist I've been dying to see. With it being such a intimate space no matter where in the room you are it feels like you're in the front row. Not to mention the vibe is always energetic and people are always dancing. If you're looking for a great venue where the atmosphere is always insanly fun, than 1up is it.

If you hate dancing, good music, drinks til the early morning this place is definitely not for you. If you hate having fun or surround by your friends don't come here. Just kidding, the bass is in the place! 1up keeps it funky and fresh with live music, awesome light shows and a groovin' vibe that definitely won't disappoint. One stop shop for all your fun! I've seen so many artist here and definitely can't wait to see more. Great open dance floor with a bar right behind it and even freaking arcade games! What's not love

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Upon visiting this establishment for the first time while enjoying a friends show that we had been invited to, the owner became hostile and was causing conflicts as if he was a customer and when we walked away to prevent conflict, shortly after he pulled us into a room with 4 security guards and approached us as if we had started a riot. It's not that great of an environment and I have absolutely been to better clubs. I never would have expected such rude treatment from the owner especially since we were minding our own business while purchasing drinks.

Not a great club, converted from a club I went to when I was 18, not in a great part of town either. Although reno is trying to clean the streets up. Nothing fancy about it at all. Not a "vegas" type place. Nor is it like any other reno club.

This place will forever have a piece of my heart. Been coming to 1up since day 1. Granted my visits are sparse now (now a parent) i always look forward to my nights out because of this place. Yes there are other great establishments to visit in reno for some great times but... probably wont be like the great times and memories youll create at 1up.

Where do you go if you want to dance till the early hours of the morning In reno ? 1up! This place is constantly booking rad artist and had the most diverse crowd. Definitely the place to go if your looking for a good night out with friends. Plus it wouldn't be a complete night at 1up if you didn't order a pb and j! I'd say it's a cozy venue. Some nights they have amazing DJ's like Mt. Eden. Other nights they host locals, which I also enjoy. Last week they had Dubstep, my preference, the week before was house. They have coat check now, which is nice. Lots of seating lining the walls. Smoking section is outside. Their proximity to Cargo makes them a great after party spot. I park at the El Dorado. Their check in process can take a bit, as well as getting a drink at times; which isn't irregular in venues like this. My issue is they only have 2 female restrooms...where they now have a guy standing outside literally timing you (3 minutes). I understand the reasoning, especially since the lines are long but I get nervous bladder.

They don't know out of state IDs had to get my passport but the manager was so nice he fixed the situation and bought us a round. Very nice place and clean floors to dance on. Very nice bar if you like electric music or people watching.

I came here Friday night & it was completely dead, the club does have potential but they need to switch up the music & fix up the place a bit. Like the bathroom & a leak I saw on the dance floor

Everytime i go to 1UP me and my friends have a blast. Love the bass and lasers. Drink prices are great. The atmosphere is nothing but love and fun. Ive met so many amazing people that like to go there and work there as well.

Zombie Crawl 2017.. those at the end of the line are greeted by a staff member offering $5 entry/skip the line.. If you decline and make your way up to the front of the line you are told that capacity is maxed out and cover charge is $10. Only $10 to help cover the fine?? I doubt it.

The bar is centrally located and beautifully decorated with gorgeous and friendly bartenders that are attentive, punctual and talented in their trade. With very affordable prices, you'll be sure to get a nice buzz on without breaking the bank. I can't say enough good about 1up, if you're looking for a fun time in Reno make sure to stop in!!
