Great location, great food, great service! Everyone was happy with their meal. Highly recommend the vegetarian burger....homemade and delicious! The mashed potatoes and gravy was a guge hit at our table. I'll be dreaming about Leadbelly until the next time we get back to Lincoln!

This was only my second time visiting. Both times I have been there, the staff has been courteous and helpful. I was convinced to try the raspberry beret burger. The ingredients, honestly, sounded kind of off- putting. But OMG it was delicious!! Highly recommend it and this restaurant!

Fantastic Mac and Cheese. They use the same sauce for their queso. We were seated quickly and service was great. Would come again for sure. My buddy had a sort of breakfast burger that looked amazing. Very unique flavors.

Cool spot to get affordable food with great cocktails! Since I’m vegan, I changed the bread on my portobello mushroom sandwich to a baguette with a side salad and just made sure the dressings were also vegan!

Ok, so I went and it's good. Not great and a simple reason which many of my fellow helpers pointed out. The patty needs to be 20% bigger. The current patty is nice, but there is too much going on to hold the taste on a smallish patty. The ratio is off. I know, I know.... I'm just a guy eating a burger. It's not my investment or place. I so get that and for that they get a full 4 stars. And it's all personal taste.

Where's the beef? Leadbelly used to have some of the best burgers in Lincoln. For some reason a few months ago they switched from fresh hand made burger patties that you could have cooked to order to pre-made fast food quality patties. Why?! Please bring back the fresh beef!

If you're new to Lincoln, you HAVE to visit one of the fastest growing restaurant in Lincoln. Not only is the food top notch, but from what I hear the kitchen staff are some of the highest paid cook positions in the Haymarket. On top of that I've never talked to anyone who's disliked Leadbelly. Their food quality is fantastic and the service is just as good. If you're not from Lincoln, Leadbelly is in my opinion the coziest spot to grab a bite. Come check out the train car that's attached to the restaurant. It's awesome!

Very unique combinations! Never in my life had I thought someone would put a beef patty INSIDE cinnamon roll, but they did it. I didn't order it, but I know a guy... The burger I had was great, ginormous, but great...and I was pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive the meal was. Definitely a place to hit up in Lincoln if you're feeling extra midwestern, hungry and adventurous.

The food was really good. The gauc & chips was great. The Mac & cheese was delicious. You definitely get a lot of food. Service was a little slow but not bad. We were there on a Sunday after a home football game. It wasn't very busy. There was a spot in the floor that sank down when you walked over it. Made you wonder if you would fall through. Hopefully they get that fixed.

I ordered the Mac and Cheese with grilled chicken, which they forgot even though my waitress doublechecked it with me. They brought it out after I asked where it was, but it took maybe ten or fifteen minutes. The Mac and Cheese was okay, a little bland. My boyfriend's poutine was amazing, and we'll definitely be back for more of that! I loved the atmosphere and the casual nighttime vibe. Overall, a little pricey ($3 extra to add bacon to the mac and cheese, but only $2.75 for chicken! ) but I want to come back to try out more of their menu!

I love LeadBelly. They have a wide selection of locally brewed beers and house brewed beers. Their food is exceptional. I always get the French dip sandwich, with fries. I have never left this establishment feeling disappointed in the service or food. It's a great place for more formal occasions and casual gatherings. If you've never tried it and you want a mouth watering burger, you should definitely hit this place up.

Overcharged, they don't even let you see the bill before you have to pay. Stale chips on the nachos and just average food. This place used to be queso awesome, but every time I go now I'm disappointed

Tried going to Leadbelly’s tonight around 10:45-11pm, thankful that they were one of the few places open until midnight... but they were, and had been closed for awhile when we arrived just before 11pm. Sad we didn’t have the chance to get a bite to eat and that the employee taking out the trash as we tried to open the door didn’t say a word about them being closed as we were standing right by the sign saying they were open until Midnight on Thursdays!

This eatery is located in the Hay Market District and lets you step back a little in time. Decor is 1900's, but the food is today. The menu mostly pub-grub with a nice flair. You can build your own burger based on beef, chicken, mushroom or veggie. then add their suggested toppings or make up your own combo. If your not up to this there are salads and traditional sandwiches on the menu. A variety of Mac & Cheese is more than expected. There is a full bar with draft beers available. I had the Pastrami Ruben with chips and Queso cheese. Outdoor seating in nice weather is available.

Chad was our server and was so nice and informative as it was our first time there. My sister in-law, niece, daughter, and I were in town for the NKOTB Mixtape Tour and heard it was great food from a friend. You guys did not disappoint! I had the Royal Mountie burger and it was killer good! Thank you all for wonderful food and excellent service. We will definitely be back!

Food Poisoning! This restaurant is aptly named, since you need a lead stomach to keep their food down. I ate there in the middle of December after college got out. Service was good and the food tasted fine, but the next morning all four of my friends who ate there had horrible food poisoning. One of my friends went to the hospital. It was probably a rare occurrence, but I won't be eating there again.

Friendly staff. Excellent drinks and although I had a rough day... the Korean steak salad was so perfectly I cried very real and hilarious tears of joy. "Best thing that happened to me all day" was my response to the waiter as he checked on us after the food was brought out. Stellar burgers, great service even better drinks 10/10 would not turn down a meal here. Also has a gluten free menu and other alternatives to help you alter the meal to you needs while still getting a stellar and delectable, filling meal with fresh ingredients

The place is sticky and dirty. It's too loud. And the staff have to use a credit card machine at your table when you pay, therefore they are standing there staring at you when it's time to tip. Which, by the way, our tip was preset for 25% ... on a to go order. Perhaps the place was good when it was new, but the now it needs a deep scrub over everything before I'd go back.

Favorite restaurant in Lincoln! - but go back to paper receipts or have the staff know who ordered what. Went in with a group of friends and all of the bills were wrong. I was charged for a drink I didn’t order. It was too late to say anything but figure it out.

There are good burgers, and a decent draft selection sure to suite many tastes. I wouldn't drive out of your way to eat here, but you won't be disappointed if you do. There are not many tables, and it is popular, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Just one word... D E L I C I O U S. Ok maybe a few more words are necessary. I had the turkey club. So good! Hubby had the mac n cheese ( he never orders that) was so delicious. My grandson had the raspberry beret. Quite an interesting combo of raspberry, jalapeno and peanut butter on a burger. Hey don't knock it till you try it. Hubby had a local craft beer " code" which he really enjoyed. We finished with bourbon peach cobbler, and stout cream pie. Mmmmmmmm Ellie our service was marvelous!

Great place to eat and relax. Friendly staff including the management. I used to eat here every Wednesday when the business I work for was downtown. The business moved and unfortunately I am no longer able to eat here nearly as much as I like. Big Mike with blue cheese is my go to.

I've never had a bad experience when I've gone to Leadbelly's, both in Lincoln and Omaha. Sometimes the wait can be somewhat long for the food, but I can assure you that it's worth it. The staff have also been very accommodating and eager to do as much as they can, especially when there's a lot of people waiting.

Great food! The Grinder accompanied with a mixture of crinkle cut and waffle fries hit the spot. The best part of the entire meal was the garlic aoili. Only downside was the water tasted off but that's a city thing. Will come back the next time we're in the Haymarket.

The building had been many other restaurants over the past few decades and this particular establishment seems to have lasted the longest. They have an Omaha location as well. The menu has a lot of fancy delicious burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers and a good assortment of sides I particularly liked that you can get queso with sliced jalapeños and home made chips as a side. Really have enjoyed every thing I have tried and appreciated the good service
