People used to tell me I'd get stabbed if I went to the TnC back when I had dreads, then I lived across the street and it became one of my favorite spots in town. Best bar on the west side. Good mixture of people, gets a little weird sometimes but that's fun.

If you love dive bars, this is the "best" one in town. The staff are great and the service is great too. They hook up the pours and have cheap prices. A colorful (metaphorically) patronage always makes for an entertaining time at the TNC.

There is drama waiting to happen. The other night there was a lady who had been assaulted outside of the bar because she had her dog. She needed 911 the bartender aware of the situation ignored this individual who then turned to patrons entering the bar. 911 was finally called but the bartender fell short on promptness and compassion.

This is a Missoula local spot where there seems to be a few of the same people you run into every time you go there. The service is always good and they like to be called by their names. Very sociable place with a pool table and adult gaming if you are into that. Very good lounge to try out if you are in central Missoula and don't want to venture far.

Honestly, the TNC takes some getting used to; at first it can seem like a dirty dive bar, but it's a good place to just go for a drink with some friends and play some pool. Nothing fancy here, just drinking and hanging out.
