Even though this a bar it’s a place that you can always catch some amazing shows. I don’t say this just because I work there. The drinks are affordable and the environment is one you can feel has been there for a long time and will continue to be there for a long time. Friday’s they got beer pong and corn hole which is great to get a group together and go and enjoy. First Friday’s are their $5 fish bowls. You find a list of concerts to come easy on their Facebook page and as soon as you walk in the door. If you go upstairs and want to get a drink not only is the environment contagious with good people but you can get some good food upstairs at the bodega and shoot hoops and play some pool. This is the bar that provides something for everyone and I would put as a must visit for shows and gatherings if in the local area.

My girlfriend couldnt get in because the bouncer was too lazy to read her registration and clearly wasnt in the mood to be pleasant with customers. Very rude and overall bad experience, woulsnt visit again.

Terrible. Wouldn't let anyone outside to get fresh air. Its underground so it get so humid. Bought tickets and they made me give them and extra 30$ at the door to get in. Dont bother going

Had the worst experience with with the people running the show like what are u doing come on. Didn't have scanner and i got my tickets on a legit Facebook page they didn't know what to do. Chris webby is one of my favorite but man oh man never coming to this venue again. If your under 21 they would let them walk out for fresh air. And THE WERST SOUND QUALITY SO WASHED OUT AND DISTORTED!!!

If you're freshly 21 it's great. If you're under 21 it's great as long as you don't start drinking because then more people do it, Monks has to kick everyone under 21 out and it runs it for everyone else.

Wasn't open on time on First Friday - Disappointed. Love this bar though, glad they kept the place intact when they remodeled.

Fun place with an "anything goes" crowd. Sometimes it can get pretty wild down there and things can get weird. Which can be a hell of a good time as long as you dont mind a little madness :)

Good underground bar for live shows. Last time I was there I saw POS and it is a very personal stage setup. They do have beer pong and cornhole on hand and ready for the taking. This place randomly has good artists coming through Missoula perform here. I don't think Monk's gets the recognition it deserves. It seems to be the forgotten bar in the abyss of Ryman Street but does need to be checked out.

Excellent place to hang out and experience live, on-stage music. The dance floor and laser lights are spectacular! There are also several pool tables available. I highly recommend trying the pepperoncini shots. Staff is always super friendly and prompt at serving you.
