Great cocktails, pretty dang good food. The bison meatloaf was delicious but verrrry heavy I could only eat a few bites. I do suggest getting the bison nachos though. They're great. Great service from what I remember as well. We had a group of 9 and they were still very friendly.

My one line description would be - One of the best burgers I've ever had (I had the bison burger)!! Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. The place is cozy and the staff is very friendly. If you are in or around West Yellowstone, this is the perfect place to stop for a nice dinner (we didn't try other meals here but I'm sure there lunch would be just as good).

A nice restaurant in West Yellowstone. Get there early to get a seat as the place fills up fast. Or you can always sit at the bar. The wine and beer list is great, and the food is delicious. A nice change from the many toursit focused bars that are in West Yellowstone.

We were quite dissatisfied with our experience here (though I cannot say it is the norm). Our party was crossed off and forgotten before we were seated. Our server had no desire to serve us and forgot about us the whole time, our drinks were never refilled. Our food was undercooked or overcooked and not spectacular. We were served finally after literally everyone who came after us, we were delayed so much we were there till closing. After serving my son a burger oozing blood, they didn't even offer to comp the meal. My son was quite sick for the rest of the night.

An unexpected 5 star win! Dinner for one at the bar, on a busy night showed me excellent service with character, delicious drinks from the bar and delicious food served quickly and perfect. The horseradish au gratin potatoes are to die for, but the caprese salad with with house smoked mozzarella stole my heart. Or was that the huckleberry lemon drop? I can’t wait to come back.

One of my favorite stops of our trip. From entering the restaurant to leaving, the service was spot on. We celebrated my husband's birthday here and we both had delicious meals with fantastic service. I started with a huckleberry moscow mule and had the bison burger with fries for dinner. My first ever bison burger and it did not disappoint. And the french fries were perfect. Just the right size and cook - and you could tell they had never been frozen. We ended the evening with some huckleberry ice cream. Highly recommend stopping in!

We started with two well prepared drinks... which were a nice treat after a day of driving, walking, and exploring in the geyser area of Yellowstone. Our steaks were well prepared, and I substituted mushrooms for the potatoes, and they were very good. We both chose ice cream... Mine salted caramel, and his accompanied the special crisp. Our server was on top of her game.. Great service and nice ambience.

Highly overrated!! We spent nearly $200 on a barely average dinner. Steaks and pork ribs just ok. I've had better bison burgers in Denver, and considering we're in Montana, that's saying a lot. Potatoes underdone , trout crostini all bread no trout. Would never go back.

Charming location... in an old schoolhouse. Our Macedonian server was quiet, attentive and didn't need a writing pad to remember us. Homemade dressings made afresh salad interesting, mine was raspberry vinaigrette, hers a chunky bleu cheese. My pasta was above average and my partner needed special diet attention that was met pleasantly and accurately. A full bar was welcome for a cool-out drink after a long day in the Park.

A wonderful little place for both tourists and locals. Can't give it 5 starts though, that's reserved for spectacular. Other reviewers got it right, the bison nachos are the highlight of the menu. Trout special was nice but over cooked, pork loin was flavorful but over cooked, the cheese burger was not prepared to order, yup, over cooked. Hands down the best part of the night was Thor. He is local, knowledgeable, retired, and ready to share stories and information about his town. Absolutely worth stopping in. All of the locals rate it highly and I agree.

It was full even on Sunday evening, but they served us the best flat iron steak and ribeye. We have not such tasty food in a while. The bread pudding was great for dessert too. A wonderful evening.

While on Vacation this week we had dinner at this restaurant and the food was amazing! The service was gray and they recommended a few dishes that did not disappoint! The steaks were perfectly cooked and the side dishes were delicious! We both had wine and a special tequila cocktail that they made… We would highly recommend this restaurant...though it does seem to be rather small and difficult to get in for dinner on the weekend. Go early and get a good table… You will not be disappointed!

Braised boneless short rib, fall of the bone, if it had a bone. Flat iron steak amazing. Decore was good, service was good. But out in front was the food. Going back tomorrow for the same thing. Price was 19 to 25 bucks per dish. Found this place on Google.

We chose this restaurant based on reviews and were glad we did. The old school house made the restaurant look very unique. For starters, the bison nachos were surprisingly delicious and not mushy as nachos tend to get. The flat iron steal was delicious, although topped by the bison steak special, which was tender and well-seasoned. The staff was friendly with good service. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area.

Our server was great and although it wasn't on the menu he did suggest the impossible burger when we mentioned we were vegetarian and it did not disappoint so do ask if you were to visit. Good fries to accompany and typical cocktails. Decent food, great service and located right in the 3 block radius of the west Yellowstone town.

I would prefer the deviled eggs to have a stronger flavor. The flat iron steak needed better seasoning and a better sear. I'm not the kind of person to send something back, but the cook was wrong too. The shrimp on the side was really good. The ceaser was good too. The wife enjoyed the salmon special; she had shrimps too. Probably better than most of the other restaurants in town, but hoping for a wow for the price and got an ok.

This place offers a more unique dining experience when it comes to flavors. I had bison steak over a salad. The dressing was good but the salad itself was not the greatest. Huge bar selection with STRONG mixed drinks. Extremely pricy but worth a visit. The owner can often be seen walking around and talking to tables. Very friendly place to be.

A rustic style to fine dining. The meatloaf and flat iron steak were wonderful. We also had the chocolate mousse and bread pudding for dessert. Also very good. I see why they are listed as a top ten restaurant in two different lists.

I came here with my dad and grandmother and we all said that the food was good, but, both my dad and grandmother said that their salads did not taste fresh, I had the ribs and I will say that they were good. The only thing that the three of us didn’t like about this place was that the service was terrible, the rarely ever waited on us and they were never even around. All in all food was delicious but the service sucked. All three of us agree that we would not recommend this place to anyone.

My husband had the Huckleberry burger and I had the Bison meatloaf. We both loved the Huckleberry chipotle sauce (more like a huckleberry aioli by taste) paired with the spicy cheese. We also had the deviled eggs, which were delicious...however the kale salad below it could have been replaced with spinach and scored more points. My bison meatloaf was rich and definitely flavor infused and the potatoes were excellent (not overly fancied up--which is nice just to have with the flavor infused meatloaf.) We only had a 30 minute wait and there is no making reservations. We took our sleeping baby in but I would say this isn't the most family friendly place. But great food!

This place was recommended as having the best steak in town. If this is the best in town I feel sorry for the Montana beef industry. Both sides were cold. The steak was mediocre at best. Save your $35 and get s steak elsewhere.

Food was great! We waited a while to be seated (longer than the 35 minutes we were told)...no problem, but they sat a group that showed up 10 minutes after us, before us. I asked the hostess if it was because they were a 4 top & we were a 2, that she seated them before us (although there were plenty of 2s sitting at 4s). She told me, "Well, they're local & she owns a business here. & she called ahead." She did NOT call ahead. I heard her ask if there were seats coming available at the bar, & the hostess said she didn't believe so. Then she told the hostess to go ahead and put them on the list for a table. Food was great except my husband ordered a meal expecting snap peas as a side & was served cooked carrots. He hates cooked carrots & was not informed of the switch. We DID have Bison for the 1st time, & it was AMAZING. Cocktails were also great.

Got the Huckleberry Burger and it was delicious! Service was great! Our server Leah was very friendly and accomodating. If you're visiting West Yellowstone and want a good sit down restaurant, this is the place to go.

Very disappointed. After waiting 40 minutes for a table for 5 a party that signed in 30 minutes after us was called. We had to let the host know we were skipped. Our salads were never served. My grandsons burger that was ordered cooked medium came out cold and bleeding on the plate. The service was absolutely horrible. A different server assisted more than the server that was assigned to us as our server was missing in action. My son-in-laws meal was not served as ordered as well. We were looking forward to dining here as it was recommended by our hotel. I'm forced to give them one star. But trust me they did not earn it. I'll end this as I started. Very disappointed.
