First time at Jazz at the Bistro. We saw Funky Butt Brass Band. Enjoyed the evening very much. Awesome venue for live music. All seats are reserved. We got the tickets that dinner was served. I would highly recommend Jazz at the Bistro!

A couple friends brought us because they had free tickets. It was better than I was expecting, not normally a jazz fan but the music was awesome. Dinner and drinks were good but quite pricey. 16 dollars for burger and fries. Overall very cool atmosphere and the show lasted 1 hour which I think was the perfect amount of time.

Saw a tribute to Nat King Cole with local jazz artists. It was a free show, of course the dinner cost. Music was great in a wonderful atmosphere, really a great place to see a show in a small setting. Food and drinks were good also, a little on the pricey side but that's what it is. Have been several times before for various shows and have never been disappointed. Great music, great food and great service!

For some, you will read this and know exactly what I experienced, for some you may have wanted to go but just haven't yet and for those like me prior, I had no idea it was even here. I was invited by and friend and Uber to the location. When you walk in you have the little bistro to the right and the venue to the left. I went to the bistro and grabbed a drink before the performance started. The venue is small and personal so it didn't look like there was a bad seat in the house. We were center stage and the band performing is absolutely fantastic. Great music, good entertainers and a perfect venue for an outing with friend, family or a date. Highly recommend.

Emily Wallace and the Funky Butt Horns were fantastic, she never disappoints! but the food service left something to be desired, had to call over the waitress, she brought our drinks and that is the last time we saw her. Only got one of two dishes we ordered.

They have great shows on a regular basis with critically acclaimed local artists. They're one of the few options we have to watch a good jazz show and this place takes it seriously. Great acoustics all around. The menu options are delicious and generous and the location has a well stocked bar.

This is the classiest place to hear live jazz in the area. The food is not overpriced, but it is also not cheap. You get what you pay for in this place, so the quality is high as is the cost. If you just want to hear jazz and not eat, that is fine--get a cup of coffee and glass of water and relax.

Take 6 was awesome & put on a great 1 1/2 hour show complete with Christmas songs! The Shrimp & grits and Salmon was cooked & seasoned to perfection. Can't wait to go 2 Jazz at the Bistro again!

I come 3 to 5 times a year...it is a wonderful place to hear some good jazzed I love the atmosphere. However the food leaves a lot to be desired and is not worth the price (a little salt or seasoning would bring much needed flavor). I will come for the music, but not the food.

What an awesome venue. The crab cakes and shrimp n grits were quite tasty. The music was fantastic. This is a great concept. Jazz at the Bistro attracts some of the top talent in jazz today and creates an intimate environment where you can enjoy it!

Wonderful venue to hear jazz and other types of music! Acoustics are great and there is not a bad seat in the house. Great supporter of the arts here in St. Louis, especially with bringing music to the youth in STL! Jazz St. Louis offers discount student tickets to almost all shows for as low as $10!! Downfall is the food and drinks are quite pricey and service is very slow. The venue needs to hire more workers than volunteers to help run the different nightly sets. Arrive early when the doors open if you decide to dine for better service! Also seating and tables are very close together, so if you have trouble with personal space, I suggest either a bar seat or a seat over at Nancy’s Jazz Lounge. Most tables seat 4 so if you don’t buy the entire table other people will be sitting with you and possible dining as well.

Clarify the price system!! At The entrance, I asked if dinner included the price but he said we had a choice. What choise? I did not know we had to share the table with other customers. Dinner menu only has number that was actually price but hard to see. Music was great but food was rip off.

I enjoyed the ambiance BUT the service was poor. Our waitress Jackelyn came and took our drink orders when we first got there, and that was it. My husband had to grab her attention about 30 minutes after not seeing her, to ask for another beer. She NEVER brought the beer, nor did she ask if we needed any additional assistance the entire time we were there. We saw her serving tables around us but she failed to provide us the service we desperately wanted. I was so excited to go to this establishment per the good reviews, not to mention we were celebrating our anniversary. Didn't try the food so I can't review that. The kids that played during the show did great.

Gorgeous ambiance. Highly competent and gracious and friendly staff. The food was absolutely amazing! I did not give it 5 stars because we saw the second show in the evening, and some of the performers were kind of drunken idiots. I don't blame the venue for that, but it detracted from our experience.
