It's a great place to host an event. I've been here many times and the consistency they have in delivering an experience is fantastic. The space is great for a wedding reception. Only negative is that you share the space with the comedy club, so you might get shushed a couple times by the manager of that cause there's a live show.

Beautiful Big Old Building. The bathrooms have always been clean, the restaurants are always good as expected and it's in the perfect location for shows. Some restaurants have good pricing, a very few are a bit higher priced due to the selections and products they offer. Check out the menus before sitting, they truly do have a variety of American dining.

Great place. Service was a bit slow. The beer was great. The pizza was good except for they put some mushrooms on it. Which I had specifically asked not to put any on. But they addressed it readily and compensated for it.

Really cool updated old building in downtown Grand Rapids. I have never been to another place even comparable to it. They have bars, restaurants, all kinds of cool activities in this building. Both my drinks and my food here have always been great, and there are many of games to play while enjoying your time at the BOB.

Really cool place, we got great food, drinks and service in the lower level, Bob's Brewery. We met a nice couple hanging out like us, waiting for The Who concert. After an awesome concert we headed back for drinks, but they were closing. I would definitely recommend this place. I just wish they would have stayed open on that concert night to hang out. There must have been 100+ people heading in after the concert that we saw and probably more. I would think on a concert night they might stay open longer, after a concert you are wide awake and want some drinks, especially since we were staying at the Marriott a few blocks over and didn't need to leave town. We loved it though! We'll be hanging out there this fall when we come back for another concert!

Very disappointed in the quality of service I've received the past few times I went. I decided to wait until I was able to get a full experience before I gave a review. I really wanted to like this place and just couldn't. From the time I stepped into the buildings I felt like the staff was on edge. We've never felt so unappreciated and under valued as women of color until tonight. Ladies and gentlemen, keep your money and find another establishment that values diversity. This place is terrible when it comes to diversity and inclusion.

This is a great place to go no matter what time of the day. The comedy club on the top floor is always so much fun. I also enjoy playing pool or grabbing a drink at the bar. The downstairs is a great place to hang out with a group of friends. There is a bunch of games to play while drinking and hanging out. On the very top floor the bar Eve is a fun hangout but the bar is a nightmare to try and get a drink on a busy night!

Huge concern about employees' courtesy and responsibility. We paid total 10 dollars for each person on the 1st floor to go up to the 4th floor last Friday, around 11:40pm- No one said anything about the dress code. And I was kicked out by the employees on the 4th floor, around 12:40am, because I was wearing non-sleeve shirts. I got no refund, and offended in many ways. Employees there tried to sell me shirts, and kept lying that I was wearing shirts when I was paying and took them off later - Why do they lie? It completely ruined our night, especially my guest's experience in Grand Rapids.

Absolutely fabulous food. Had special Salmon Wellington. AMAZING!!! Our server was Alena and she was incredible. For our brownie goblet dessert, we asked for an extra scoop of ice cream for sharing with our group and she had the manager bring us the extra scoop with an extra brownie. Best service ever!!!

HOME AT THE BOB: I love this bar in the BOB. It is on the first floor, as soon as you walk in the back door. There is a small bar that no one ever sits at, so it's always open, there is a bit of an open area, and then there is a stage and dance floor. There are always bands here that play fun music and it's always a really good time. The bartender there is really nice (somehow we always see the same guy). They serve some of the Bob's Brewery beers, and some outside beers, along with liquor. This is a fun stop to make, and I would recommend checking it out if you've never been in there!

We ate at Judson's. We went early evening so the crowd wasn't too bad yet. Delicious food, fantastic service. Husband had the Delmonico steak, I had the bacon wrapped stuffed filet. We shared the lobster Mac and cheese. The roasted brussel sprouts are divine!! Everything was cooked to perfection! The bar list is good, we asked for some recommendations since we weren't familiar with the BOB brewery beers. You can ask for a sample to try! It's definitely more of a special date night place, but was worth it.

First of all, the restaurant on the second floor was easily a 4 or 5 star in service and quality. The lower rating comes from the experience we had in the first restaurant we attempted to eat at. Three wait staff walked past our table and didn't acknowledge us at all. The place was not busy and others appeared to be having the same issue. After 10+ minutes we got up and headed up the stairs and had a great meal.

Such a neat place to visit when vacationing in Grand Rapids. At first the building is confusing, since there are a handful of businesses occupying it. BOB is in the basement/lower level.

I went there with my daughter an granddaughter for a drag brunch, it was so great the food mimosas and entertainment was fabulous. I also want to say our server Aleia was the best, she was always spot on. I did notice all the other servers doing an awesome job. If you ever get a chance to do a drag brunch go it's for a very good cause.

This is a really unique old building with really cool design on the inside. It has several different places inside to eat each with a different atmosphere. I ate at Gilly's smokehouse and had an excellent burger. They have a variety of different BBQ sauces that are all really delicious. I would definitely recommend the B.O.B.

I have been going to the BOB for years now. I have the black card that I had gotten a few years ago, and was told that it is still valid and grandfathered in by one of the managers (I forgot her name, but she’s a shorter Indian lady, and very nice.) I went there last Saturday with my friend, and assured him that I could get us in because it was just me and him. Well come to find out that the bouncers working the door were unaware of this(maybe because they were new) but when I asked to speak with her so I could clear things up, they said she wasn’t working that night, and when I tried explaining things to them what she said, they didn’t try to get ahold of someone that knew about it, and were very rude to me and my guest. We both ended up having to pay cover charge that night. And to top that off, the lady working the bar on the second floor was very rude when I tried to use my “Gilmore app for points.

I have been going ten years. The deals are awesome and so are the meals . I loved the burger I had today. It was a gourmet burger and enjoyable . Not a diner burger. The Scotch ale just took a long jump from a typical porter weight to a more open flavor that I consider impressive and drinkable. The beers here are great!

Since moving to Grand Rapids in 2014, my friends, spouse and I have been to this venue several times. They offer an array of comedy options every week and weekend, as well as several restaurant choices and nightlife establishments within the building. The architecture is breath taking, and The B.O.B. (Big old building) is simply a piece of history in Grand Rapids! We highly recommend this place for visitors and Grand Rapids locals.

Cool spot. Multi level bar that spans from fine doning to country bar. Service is friendly and fast. Brews are inventive (try the peanut butter porter) and creative. Certainly a must is GR.

A fun place with several areas to choose from to match your mood and entertainment goals. On the weekends, you can see live bands or dance to DJ mixes. Usually a cover to get in the main doors, then there may be another cover to go up to the dance club called Eve. If you want to dance, see a comedian, or just chill and play billiards, all options are available in the BOB.

This was my first visit to the BOB prior to a concert at the Van Andel. I found it very confusing, it was extremely crowded, all of the tables were by reservation, however, we were able to sit at the bar and order dinner. The good was good and the bartender, Sydney, was very sweet.

We just had our daughter's wedding reception on the 3rd floor last weekend, and it was absolutely phenomenal! The space is so much brighter since they did some upgrades last year, and the food was outstanding! Guests are still talking about it. Charlie was our event manager and I can't say enough about him and his crew... He really knows what he's doing and it's obvious he has a lot of experience. I was able to enjoy the festivities rather than worry about managing them. A special thanks to Madeline for her huge part in helping plan the event and being so easy to work with!

Better direction getting to the Comedy club. You don't need to pay cover. The steps in this place are awful if you're afraid of heights. They need a better holding area for guests waiting for comedy club or just let them sit down when they arrive, also assigned seating would fix this issue. Cool building though!

Very large place. Full of a variety of restaurants and bars. Easily can get lost and may be overwhelming when you've had a few to drink. Looks like they put some sort of netting down so people who fall off the stairs don't hurt themselves. There was a history of several people getting killed who were intoxicated and fell off the stairs. Lots of live bands during the weekends but SUPER loud.

This is a fun place to be and I really like the concept for each floor having its own theme. It's a great place for adults who want to have a good time. The drinks are not that strong on the 4th floor but the bottom floor they are good. The only issue I have is the security can be rude at times but a couple are nice. I would recommend going here.

I visited the Bob to go to a comedy show at dr. Grins. The show was so good. the future comedian was one of the funniest I have ever heard. And it was only $5 to get in! It was as good as a show but you would pay$50 to $100 or more for. It is a smaller venue so every seat is great.

Recently went to Bobarino's for dinner before a concert. It was somewhat busy, but there were empty tables. Got seated immediately, and then no one acknowledged us for about 15 minutes. I went up to the hostess stand to mention that we hadn't gotten waters yet and they said they'd send someone over. 5 more minutes with nothing and we finally left. I understand mistakes happen, but 20 minutes without even water is pretty bad. Especially when they aren't even that busy.

We had a vip table at the EVE bar for a friend who was moving out of the country. Seemed like the perfect place for an extravagant sendoff until a drunk girl fell into our table and spilled every drink we had while breaking glasses that we werent reimbursed for. I had to ask security to please keep people from sitting on the back of our couch literally where are heads rested. Was an ok night just wasnt what we expected for a once in a lifetime event.

Food and beer was awesome. There's 3 restaurants/bars in this building I believe. The downstairs had games like ping pong and cornhole but I never made it down there. Upstairs leads over to 20 Monroe Live, so we didnt even have to leave the building to go to our concert!

We were in Grand Rapids for a weekend trip and heard the B.O.B. was a great choice. Probably won't return on our next trip up there. Rooftop bar was awesome. Server inside was perfect. Brussel sprouts were not so great. Communication between front, back and stage needs a whole lot of improvement.

Highly recommend checking this place out. Has a great variety of bars inside that serve all age groups. Did not have any food but from the looks of the place the food would most likely be top notch. The patio is a great place to hangout on a cooler day and the bar in the basement area has corn hole and looked like possibly beer pong.

I’ve been here a few times and every time is fantastic. The staff is great especially Trenton. St Patrick’s Day they handled the crowds like champs. I just wish all the floors were always open or at least their menu but I know if that happened it would be chaos. The BOB is where you go for a great time!

The venue itself is pretty neat with all the different areas and bars. The problem we had with it is there is an entrance to 20 Monroe Live inside the facility. We were going to see Drew Lynch, and there were people all over the place not knowing which line to be in, and there were lines throughout the entire floor. It was a cluster! The waitstaff kept having to push their way through the lines. It makes zero sense why they would allow people to enter into 20 when there’s another event going on. After the show, there is only one way out of the comedy club, which is the same way the waitstaff were exiting with piles of cups and plates and it was rather off-putting. They were pushy and need to find another way to clean tables off instead of bombarding their way through the people trying to exit to buy merch and take pictures with the performer.

My experience with EVE bouncers has always been unpleasant. They have the worst attitude and personality. They are rude, pretentious and conceited. They all behave like they own the club. Treat people like we should be honored to go up there and spent our money. I moved away 5 years ago just to go back and find the same losers acting the same way as they did before. I don't understand why their manager doesn't address the issue. I don't recommend to any one to visit EVE. As for the restaurants they offer good food. Just avoid EVE. A very good friend of mine died falling from the 4th floor 5 years ago. This was the second person to die exactly the same way a month just one month apart and management did nothing to take the necessary safety precautions to prevent another accident.

I was sitting alone while my friend went to the bathroom. I was then approached and escorted out. I probably seemed like I had to much to drink, which is why I was drinking water. I had no problem leaving, however my coat and friend were inside, my coat had my keys in it. I asked if I could just get my coat and my friend but they said no, and they wouldn’t retrieve it. So I wondered around in the cold trying to find somewhere warm I could wait. I ended up in Gardellas where they were very kind to me and let me wait there after hours until my cab arrived. I used to love the BOB but I will not be going back there. I understand them not serving people drinks when they’ve had to much, but to throw a girl out by herself knowing her friend was inside and not even letting her retrieve her coat when it’s freezing out is unacceptable. I didn’t start a fight I didn’t make a scene, I was just sitting there. Not to mention they weren’t open Sunday so I still don’t have my keys and my husband and I share a vehicle right now. Intake responsibly for drinking too much, but the way I was treated was NOT OK

Decent service overall. I had a progressive dinner and booth at eve for a bachelor party. All was great except a rude server at Gillys. I get that we are loud and whatnot, but that's kind of expected when I put in reservations for a 16-person bachelor party. Overall was decent, I'd be hesitant to have dinner again, but eve is a must.

Nice venue. Horrible staff. Walked in and my wrist band (they had given me when I was there for dinner prior) was ripped off by a "bouncer." Claiming it was on the wrong wrist, he proceeded to kick my party out. Long story short, do NOT go to the most touristy bar in grand rapids. There are plenty of other bars that represent the city far better than this one.
