My experience here has been the best, I went for a few matches of the Russia 2018 World Cup. For the Saturday match of Argentina

Drum and Bass night on Thursdays might be Boston's best kept secret. DJs are great and there is plenty of room to dance. Sets usually start getting "good" around midnight, but even the warmup sessions are great. Sound and visuals are on-point as well - really happy I found this event.

Dan Seaman

Remember fraternity parties? This is that, but with a bar. It has its moments.

Great drinks and Food, with a fair price! Very Nice bar and place!

My apologies for not having the best picture but in my defense the place was packed so good that I was not able to. If you love soccer (originally football) and you want to see the real craze here in Boston then you must visit Phoenix landing. This place is dedicated for English soccer Team Liverpool FC. Very few might know this but the Owner of Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC are the same, so it has a personal touch. It’s gets so packed that we had to come in a hour before the game started. This place is packed with awesome beers, good selection of cocktails and drinks. Food is equally good and the awesome bartenders are the added bonus. Not only Live soccer, this place is packed with things to do. Everything they feature something special like DJ night etc. Parking my be had so make sure you have that sorted out. Once you are here you will definitely enjoy every bit of it.

Laura Houlette

Good place for watching soccer.

Steve Mathieu

Great place to dance!

I come here often in the weekends. If you enjoy a predictable set of 80s music mixed with top 40 (as I do), this is the place to be. The crowd is well-mixed and people always seem to be having a great time. The drinks are ok--they can be a bit on the watery side. The food menu, though limited, is pretty tasty. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Overall, Phoenix is a great place for a quick bite, a casual date, or a fun night dancing.

Fist and last visit! Patronized then landing for one of the World Cup games. Put the bar tenders to test by saving beer cans to reconcile the gave and they tried to over charge by 6 beers! We approached with the concern and evidence they opted to argue. Removing the value from their gratuity was an easy decision and we will not patronize shady businesses such as this!

Michael Louca

Greatest bar ever. Great music on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Great food, great venue for rooting on England in World Cup

John Bryant

A real cool vibe and a good time.

Not for everyone. Dive style bar, but unique types of sound on different nights. Underground stiff on Wednesdays, hip hop on Saturdays.

"The place" for sports lovers.

parker ash

Cool place. Good beers. Great people , and bar staff. I enjoyed the company, and the bartender really knew soccer and had Interesting insights on the game. It's a sports bar that emphasizes soccer , and is filled with Liverpool fans. If youre looking for a soccer bar in Cambridge, this is the place to go.

Emma Rentz

Racist AF. I went to this bar to celebrate a friend's birthday, with a group of non-Americans. The birthday-boy was cut-off, which was a reasonable decision of the bar. But they communicated the point to him, a non-American resident in a way that he, and his non-American friends did not understand. They decided to kick him out because he had more alcohol after he was kicked out. When they did this, I, an American who understood the situation, explained to my friends that he couldn't drink more if he wanted to stay, completely fixing the miss communication. But the bar insisted on kicking him out, for no reasons other than not understanding the bar tender. I explicitly explained the situation several times to the staff who explicitly said that they should have an American resident go up to the bar with every person when they ordered to understand the situation, which is objectively speaking absolutely insane and completely racist. They cleared 20 odd foreign nationals put of a bar that they had paid a cover for and paid for drinks at because of the use of a term that no one understood. Don't go to a racist bar people, you can do better.

Ian Gorton

A sports bar. Great for soccer if you are from liverpool

Chris Manhattan

Been coming here for a while now mostly on weekends. This is a good place to dance and get drinks. It is a combination of college students (undergraduate and graduate students), working professionals (in their 20s and 30s) and tourists looking to have a good time. There can be a long line sometimes on Friday and Saturday nights. On weekends the music is mostly 90s, 2000s, and other more recent pop, hip hop, rap and some RnB. It's a fun time here! I definitely recommend it.

John Hamilton

Pretty much sweaty dive bar with bad service and okay food.

Marc Vilaregut

Friendly staff, I went to see soccer match from Spanish La Liga FC Barcelona. Super big TV, friendly staff, good food. I ate the curry chicken, very good. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE DESSERTS!!! Also long list of beers, so very good.

Siouxside

My absolute favourite place in the Boston area. The food is perfect, the drinks are perfect, the sound is perfect.

Edison Ndayambaje

Great place to watch European football (soccer)

Bklyn NewYork

Not what it used to be..

Daryl Bosco

My friends love this place but I'm very like warm. It's essentially a dive bar with none of the dive bar charm. It gets so packed you can move and requires cover charge. I gave it three because I must be the crazy one if so many people enjoy it but I just can't figure out why

Samantha Toomey

It’s ok, although, the waitress we had last night was scraping her nostrils with her nails which made me feel uneasy and grossed out. My bf ordered his food first but I didn’t know what to get so I had to be given a few more minutes, our food came out at different times. I had to sit and watch him eat until mine came out. Then he had to sit and watch me eat. Not the best first impression for me. He liked it. I need to be convinced. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t return. But he likes it so, we may be back. Hopefully the second time around will be better...

Alan Stallings

A fun, and entertaining night out. Not bad for a Monday!!

Douglas Titilah

Good food. Music was too loud hard to have a conversation.

Nikki Edwards

Great place on Mondays and music

Jennifer Saing

This is home to me. Every time I need a drink or some good food, I'm there. Great service, and not to mention Thursday nights. Home of Elements Drum & Bass, 17 years and running.

Veeraraghavan Narasimhan

It was a great sports bar. official bar for LFC, Liver pool. Give vibes for football matches. All were really supportive in the bar , u would never feel ur an outsider. Overall Nice and Grat

Taylor Robinson

Horrible music and they rudely move chairs and tables away when the place is already packed.

Iñigo Lorente

Good place to watch sports

Jennahjoe Kay

Great for Networking, drinking, dancing, & getting sloppy

Pheonix P

Love Dj Voyager on monday nights

Peter Bakker

The few times I have been here I have found the food/service to be a little disappointing. During my last visit I ordered a 'deluxe' grilled cheese sandwich, suffice to say the menu description was a little more enticing than what actually appeared. Will I go back? Maybe, they do show a lot of soccer which is a plus, I would recommend eating elsewhere.

Linda Vaitkus

Always friendly conversation, lively crowd, great beer & food

Nicole Nordeste

Friendly servcie, good food, and lots of international sports to watch!

Dionne Audain

Ok. Its a cool spot over all. Decent bar. Although they didn't carry 1800 tequila. 3 amazing attentive speedy bartenders. There are two exits. Ladies room has 3 stalls and was very well lit, stocked and clean. The DJ booth area is way in the back from the entrance which was kind of an awkward setup to me. Especially for general people flow and in case of emergency. its a pretty decent spot in Cambridge for Monday night reggae and dancehall. Crowd was nice and diverse mix although predominantly POC. Also there was a lot of security and police presence despite it being a smaller venue.

Tacina Davis

Sooo... I have been a regular for about 3 years and Monday night's only! DJs always have a great reggae/soca vibe drinks are fairly priced and the crowd is always chill and vibe always going! Great to turn up or just for a late nighy drink on those long Monday's!

Best DNB in the US every Thursday night

Dimitrios D

The Phoenix Landing is a nice, no frills Irish-American bar. Service is polite. But most importantly, they have a bunch of TVs and show European soccer games.

Franton Lin

I’ve been here on Friday and Saturday nights, and cover is $8-10. There's definitely a younger crowd here (college or young professionals). Every time I go here, I’m disappointed by the music, lack of dancing, and unimpressive sound system. On weekends, the music is usually throwbacks (90s, early 2000s), and more sing-along than dance music. I’m generally looking for more of a dance-y atmosphere, so maybe this place isn’t for me (or I go on the wrong nights). The DJ just queues songs and plays them all the way through. I also dropped by once on a Sunday night at 1am after learning that a friend was spinning there. Cover was still $10 on a Sunday at that hour, which is ridiculous.

Mirror Wolf

Great food and cheap beer! The Irish accent of the bartender slays me <3

Rated by Hanna

After reading the mostly positive reviews for this place, my friends who were visiting Boston and I decided to give this place a shot to grab a drink as most other places were closed. Our first mistake was going here on a Sunday. Everything else is dead in town except for the creepers were out on the prowl... They have several large TVs around so it would be good for Sports along with a dance floor that they start the music later at night. During the entire time I was with my friends there was a man who kept walking by us several times and telling and pointing out to us "That's my son" from across the bar. Once we realized the music they were playing for 80s night wasn't quite our jam we were ready to head home. On our way out one of the managers calls out to us, "Wait ladies...! We are just about to put on the good music!" Nope, nope, nope! Way too many creepy vibes for us for that one night. Maybe this place would be better on a weekend night, but I'm sure there are plenty of other options.

Johnson Charles

Experience was okay with me. DJ was on point spinning records. Just was looking to see if the vibe was picking up with the crowd now that this weather is finally starting to warm up. To be continued...

mickey curran

Love this place for the Liverpool games the atmosphere is awesome they have carlsberg probably the best beer in the world on tap and the food is good the staff are cool also very friendly

Magali Gallois

Fun bar with 90’s music

Thiago Oliveira

This is hands-down my favorite bar with a dance floor to go to in greater Boston. I must note though that the this place is many different places at different times. On weekend mornings its the official Liverpool soccer meeting space in Boston, on weekdays at night it's drum & bass, and on Friday and Saturday nights it's 80's music and top 40's. The weekend is where it's at! Where do I start? The bartenders and bouncers are friendly, the people who go there are approachable and friendly, the music is a blast to dance to (there is a bench on the right side of the bar you can stand on like a stage), the dress code is nice but lax as well so you can wear whatever makes you comfortable. Unlike the pretentiousness you may find in certain parts of Boston, people who frequent this place are laid back almost all of the time. Central square is great and this is the best place there. I've probably been to Phoenix Landing over 30 times and I'd say I've had fun every time! Great places to meet friends, dates, and to bring your friends!

Mohammed Gisan

Good spot for soccer fans in Cambridge. Was looking for a place to watch the World Cup 2018. Located in Central Sq, amazing atmosphere and plenty of friendly fans with great passion for the sport.

Lenore is the best

Alban Morina

Beautiful Liverpool FC bar

Great atmosphere, decent amount of space, good staff and security, slightly overpriced drinks for the type of venue it is.

Awesome place to watch soccer

Diana Lavery

As someone who’s in marketing for the restaurant/bar industry, this was the WORST service experience EVER. This bar is our “sponsor” bar for our volleyball league, and Kira was our server. She was definitely overwhelmed/“in the weeds,” but that’s NO excuse to treat patrons disrespectfully. We were fine chilling at the table, but she came over after 15 minutes, threw down menus and then stormed away. Much later, she came to unhappily take our orders. Drinks took forever, which is fine, but she didn’t check on us or apologize. The night continued like this (slamming down drinks, spilling on us, slamming down food, storming away.) At no point was she apologetic about food/drinks taking long. Manager, please fix this situation for your future patrons.

Leann McKinney

We found this place while exploring the area. At first we walked by thinking it was more of just a bar and not a restaurant. After going up and down the street we chose it because in the end the other restaurants seemed very high priced. What a gem of a place. The food was great. I ordered the vegetarian salad and wow. I got this huge bowl!! No way I could finish that. It was delicious, tasted really fresh and the house dressing was perfect. Hubby got steak and potatoes and he said it was delicious. It was busy so we waited a while for the food but hey it was summertime. The waitresses were hustling though. The restaurant was unique inside, had real street lights for decor. Yes I definitely would eat here again.

Chris Fegela

Surprisingly amazing chourizo quesodilla and chill mix of barflies and soccer fans. Also, great later evening dance club.

Jonathan Cowan

Watched Liverpool v Everton match here what an awesome crowd! Great service and food (steak and eggs with Dom's steak tips) so delicious!!!!

Jay M. Cronin

Brilliant for watching football or for dancing on a Friday night.

Nicolás César

Best for watching fútbol (soccer) games

Somerville Hedgehog

A unique place to drink, eat, watch soccer, and be merry!

Kristi Cozza

Ive been coming here for many many moons. The foods actually pretty great for a kinda dive place. I know most people dont love this but they do at night play a lot of techno/dubstep/drum and bass which I love. I can always dance here and have a good time. I usually end up here by myself and make a lot of great friends. Theres a bartender Craig who has always been so welcoming and helpful (charging my phone hahaha sorry Craig).

Nicholas Hellmann

Friendly place to grab a beer and some food. You'll never walk alone.

Cameron

Visit the location for Elements. The drinks are priced fairly and the staff are kind. Overall a nice environment.

Kalidindi Subhash

Best place to watch soccer matches on a weekend!

Bill Rizzo

Soccer!

Marat Ryndin

No better place to watch Liverpool games in Boston. Or pretty much any other football match. And by football I mean the one that's playing using feet. Hence football.

Luke Reidy

It's a dive bar in Central with a dancefloor. Very dark, hot, loud and small. That's about all you need to know. If that's your scene, you'll enjoy it! If it's not, you might want to check out one of the other bars in Central.

barry Hairston

One of the only bars in central square

Together Boston

Not just a pub, but also home to some of the area's popular nights! Live music every night of the week - bass on Sunday, reggae/dancehall on Monday, live/electronic on Tuesday, house on Wednesday, drum & bass on Thursday, 80s/top40 dance on Friday, 80s/90s on Saturday. Great location off the red line in Central Square.

Jake Varney

Great place to watch English Premier League matches live. There always seems to be a good crowd of fans (Lots of Liverpool and Man United fans) ... even on a Wednesday at 2PM! Beer selection is quite good.

Dani Riffer-Reinert

If you're looking for a place around Boston to watch the World Cup this summer, this is the place to be. Come here for beer and some soccer this summer! I had a great time watching the Egypt/Russia game the other day. There's a great energy at this place.

Alex Birch

For dance/DJ events, one of the few places I'd strongly recommend in all of Boston/Cambridge. Great acts, very intimate space, friendly staff and great drink prices. Only real drawback is that there's no coat check.

Jennifer Gustafson

Exciting place to watch the Liverpool games. Gets very crowded though and they really don't have the capacity to comfortably hold that many people.

Terrell Moon

Small place but very chill

Lucas Moraes

Great soccer pub

Lilia Guerra

Best place to watch soccer!

Paul Bergman

The place to be for Liverpool Football Club supporters. Home base of the official LFC Boston Supporters Club. Opens early for matches. Get yourself an LFC Boston membership and enjoy the benefits of the being a part of the biggest and best Premier League Football supporters club in Boston. Great breakfast, lunch, and great beer options.

Albert Gnadt

Super fun, but the small dance area gets packed

Manikantha Dronamraju

One of the most happening places in Boston I have been to

Bonnie Bradley

Awful experience with the service here, not returning.

Sanford Cohn

Except food, far better than most bar fare

Caroline Richard

Do not come here. $8 cover and horrible drinks. The bar was empty on a Friday night and was not worth paying the cover.

cupcake makeover

Low key chilling vibe good atmosphere

Michel Hilani

Great bar if you're a Liverpool fan and need a place to watch your game!

Dave Hayward

Friendly staff, great place to take in a soccer match

Jesse Taylor

This bar is gritty and dirty, but in a good way. The place is a throwback to a regular bar, long before micro brews and beer gardens. I went with my husband for a drink before going home just because we never went before. The bartender was cool. I'm not a big drinker, so I asked the bartender for a random cocktail and, she made me a very strong drink. While the cocktail wasn't to my liking, I still had a good time. When we left, we were tipsy and feeling good, which was the point of that excursion.

jamie carlisle

Great spot. Great atmosphere as well...

Health Enthusiast

Wednesday is EDM dance at 10pm, I like the atmosphere. People come here to dance, it just was half empty, the lighting could have been more dark & appropriate, and the drinks are a bit ion the expensive side $9.5 for a gimlet (with real cucumber though!)

Edgar Perez

Good place to take a drink, eat something, share with friend and watch sport.

Matt Dolan

Starts quiet, $8 cover, but solid music and dancing once things pick up

Oz Sultan

Some really surprising foodie options —after 3 1/2 hour drive. Awesome service some of the best fried chicken outside of Harlem.

Jamie Wen

Great place to watch sport with friends

Sherwin Chen

Lots of beer and tvs for watching sports, mainly soccer/futball. Standard bar fair, nothing amazing.

Braden Armstrong

Great food and staff

Iason Zacharias Apostolakis

Not too good but alrighty

Robert Ross

The place you want to come to watch Liverpool matches in Boston. It's a heavily traffied bar to their due hard fans. They do solid breakfasts as most games start early AM. Lines start around 9AM depending on the game. Will gradually let people in around 930AM. Cant serve alcohol till 10AM so keep that in mind. Solid spot to watch the game though.

Sujan Baral

This is the most vibrant Liverpool FC supporters bar in Cambridge. Being a Liverpool fan, I enjoy going there and watching matches with other fans is amazing.

Demitri Curry

Very disappointed. Waiter constantly got things wrong and forgot orders. Food was bland. Everything was expensive. Flatbread was $15 and it was tiny. Covered in random lettuce for some reason (see pic for example). The fries/chips were dry and seemed microwaved. They need Gordon Ramsay to come in and help them out. Pink lemonade was good though!

Payum N

Great venue for underground electronic music.

Kishore Sundar

Watched Liverpool lift the 6th with the best fellow Reds in Boston! I would rate it 6 stars if I could!

Venkat Vedam

Fun place. Very low key and lots of fun people. Mix of pop and 90s on Fridays. Food is okay during the evening before dance floor opens, and they have soccer on TV when big games are going on. So that's a plus.

Chaze Riches

Waitress badgered me about her tip because i gave her 2 bucks and spent 50... Gold rush flav wings taste like hotdogs and stuffed mushrooms were trash... Im sorry but this is all true

Aaron Montague

Food wasn't great. They used liquid cheese on the nachos. The order was wrong the first time they brought it. My buddy said his gravy fries were good.

Nicholas Wainer

Nah not really the place to be.....

Juliana Casale

Phoenix Landing is the perfect trivia venue -- not too big, not too small, not super crowded and staffed with servers who know how to keep a table happy. It doesn't hurt that they have great burgers and decent beer prices, either. If you're looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday night, look no further :). Pro tip: If you stick around after the pub quiz, there's always some kind of dancing, and occasionally a noted DJ will show up.

Jonah Kowall

Good music many days a week, other days you'll want to jump off the bar. They have a decent tap list, reasonable drinks, and nice staff. It's been here forever, and I'll keep visiting! Go for some great drum and bass on Thursday nights.

Zola Mc

I had a great time at the Phoenix last night. It was reggae night and the DJ is awesome. He played today's and ole' school reggae music which was nice. Crowd wasn't bad. Took the crowd some time to catch up to me dancing, but that's never stopped me. I could dance all night long! Plus, I met up with a beautiful 6'1" hunk of chocolate that I met on a dating site. We had fun dancing and talking and plan to see one another again. So if you like reggae and dancing come in it to the Phoenix on Monday nights.

Allison Gardiner

I love how local and international this bar feels. Also love the Chicken Curry with a

Hugues Lavergne

Cool place where you have craft beers and good music!

AR CK

Decent little dive bar on a great street in a great location. And they serve Scrimshaw beer so there's that! It's a little tight on the stage for a band and the lighting's not great but the sound was pretty good. Had the nachos and fried calamari which was about what you'd expect from a 3 star drive bar. All in all had a nice evening out.

Mickey Callahan

Pleasant surprise to drop in for a quick lunch and a fantastic burger and tasty salad. Great service. Clean.

Ragnar Larusson

A great traditional sportsbar. Good for watching football (soccer)

Alexis Geslin

Great place to go dancing on Saturday nights! The bar turns into a club around 11pm, good atmosphere, cool music (very commercial). Only con: the dj could be slightly more enthusiastic

Billy Spears

Watched Columbia win. First time there and I was impressed.

Manpreet Kaur

Five stars for ambience. Best place in town to watch a soccer match. Drinks are good and food is as expected, bar food so not very great. A very passionate soccer crowd frequents this bar. You can watch FIFA and EPL games here. This is very clearly a Liverpool bar with LFC swag all over the place.

payam tarifard

good food and atmosphere

Tabor Sloane

Great food, drinks, and staff!

Danille Calvo

Small bar, inexpensive if compared to local bars.

Samer Nour Eddine

Friendly bartenders and great music.

Molly Clark

What can I say... DJ Vinny is a national treasure.

Arnetta Shepherd

Great Irish pub with music

Russell Elmes

I want to preface this review with the fact that I am not a soccer fan, so with this bar being dedicated to soccer fandom I may have been out of place. This is a pretty spacious dive/sports bar mix that has some decent quality food. The problem that I ran into was that the servings were quite small despite decently high prices. They had some very creative dishes though that made it still a fairly good experience. The waitstaff wasn't all that attentive despite the fact that when I visited I was only one of 4 parties in the room.

Godfrey Ainooson

Great place to just sit and chill with a couple of friends and watch soccer games

Jarret

This review is specific to a Tuesdsy night music event at The Phoenix Landing. It's not about the restaurant or overall establishment. On specific Tuesday nights at The Phoenix Landing is one of Boston's only recurring Techno events for serious It's been this way since I first checked it out in 1998 when Red Light Productions was the only true Techno gig in a 68 mile radius of the city at that time (1996 or 97. Boston and, underground Techno just never got a long for some reason. Between 1992 and 2019, I've only caught trails of two or three Boston based event creators and promoters that peddle in the genre of underground Techno, and the latest crew that hosts this night at the Phoenix on specific Tuesday nights. But there's reason for optimism; a surge in interest globally and here in the US for Techno..... true...... Techno... for smoothing the chaotic mind like my own. This night is nothing like a Bijou Club presents: Chris Lebing club j5ams here, no disrespect at all to Mr. Lebing, but the music style on this night is more pure, unabated, along the lines of producers like Keepsake, Joe Farr, Oscar Mulero, or Ritzi Lee. The music, the local/crew DJ performances, and crowd vibe are all legit from what I've experienced in the last few years. I come from the very early days of NEAU and eventually NEW techno warehouse events .When early NYC warehouse and secret location events following the epic Storm Raves, when (Sonic) Groove Records was in Brooklyn, and was planning to move to it's eventual Carmine St address in Manhattan's lower East Side, and as "Sonic Groove" . My point is.... I wouldn't call something "legit" unless I truly believed that when it comes to Techno and event promotions. If you've been searching for a true Techno night, this is the best game in town; at the time of this review (May of 2019), that I've found anyway. Check it out if it sounds like what you're looking for. Or even if you're not familiar with the sound, or unsure of what you want for music, then come check it out anyway. It's a good time, decent vibe, very good music (MHO), all of which have always been serious rarities around the Boston area. FYI: am in no way affiliated whatsoever with the promoters who run his Tuesday night. I'm on my own, and reviewing. -J

Andrew Potenza

Good alternative option to the larger central square locations. Always own it on the EDM

Derrick Coleman

The diversity of music and crowd each night makes this place spectacular. Plus the soccer.

Jeff Zander

While the mood and atmosphere seemed nice, I had horrible service at the bar. I ordered the fried haddock sandwich and was served fish & chips. When I brought this to the bartender's attention, his only response was "This is just like fried haddock sandwich. Fish & chips is fried haddock. Just no bread." I could have maybe forgiven him except he went ahead and charged me for fish & chips anyway. Rather than fight him over the cost difference, I took it out of his tip.
