This is definitely one of the best spots to get a table in Boston. The balcony section has a great view and even better privacy. It’s a reasonable price in comparison to other clubs in Boston. Highly recommend heading over here but try and go through a promoter for some solid deals. Sometimes service can be bad and the hostesses don’t really help out.

G-Odyssey

Never had a bad experience here. Place has unique architecture which i like and there are many places to sit and chill. Always enjoy visiting.

ambassador cosh

Overall good but to crowdy. Don't like that they allow enter dancepol with drinks. Quality of music is very good. Easy to hook up somebody.

Mike Jameson

Boston’s biggest nightclub. This place is an old theater that was converted into a nightclub. I’ve been here a dozen times and I’ve never left disappointed.

Edward Zarecor

Nice concert venue, solid acoustics, threadbare charm, good sightlines as well.

Alli O'Donnell

Always a great time at Royale! Staff is amazing at keeping everyone happy and safe!!

Mac Coldwell

Great venue. Very capable and organized staff. Good view of the stage from just about everywhere

Matt Fjorden

Awesome place! Great times!

Yvonne Kloiber

Well known night club in Boston. Music is mainly electronic. Club in general is great however the security guards were very unfriendly even though I didn't even drink any alcohol or misbehaved. Overall a good place for a night out.

remigijus gelcys

Good

Katherine Lee

Fun, reliable club

Monica Gran

Great venue for EDM. Always have a fantastic time. Keep it coming guys!

Casey Elder

All the staff should be fired. Being shoved by an employee while walking or have someone swear at you while the organizer of the event being held at the bar is bringing you in isn't my idea of good customer service.

Anthony DeMarco

Biggest and baddest nightclub in town. One of the few "big rooms" for live shows. Typically a bunch of 20/30 somethings listening to top 40

jeff millar

Large rooms in the theatre district, not too expensive

Brandon Berry

Went to a Spafford concert at Royale recently. The show was incredible. Royale is a horrible venue though. They have a “2 drink minimum for card” rule at the bars here. Like, what if i came by myself? This rule is ridiculous! A gin and tonic (what i wanted) + a corona is $19. Haha, hard pass.

Liam Hefferman

I've been to a few shows and events at the Royale over the past few years, and while the space is pretty, the music is loud, and the drinks have usually been cheap for me, there's one little issue I've had here - it's a hyperborean icebox in there! The AC is usually cranked, and I mean really cranked whenever I've been there, so while it may be in the 80's outside, bring a sweatshirt, because it'll certainly be below 55 inside.

Branden Etheridge

I've seen a few concerts here over the years. It's a great venue. The acoustics were some of the best I've been to for a smaller venue. Bars all over the place and not too crowded.

Michael Downs

Great location and great venue to see a show. There are a few seats around the venue but this is a standing venue. They dont over crowd it either. Definitely a place to check out for and up close and intimate show.

Thomas Haas

I've been twice so far, for concerts on both occasions. The entrance, stairways, lobby and main floor area are all beautiful. For concerts, it's an outstanding mid-sized venue with a roughly square floor plan. The sound quality for concerts is great overall.

Michael McGuire

Went for a concert. Venue was clean and had a very cool look and feel. Staff was friendly and professional. Drinks were pricey but reasonable for the area. Floor is small with some seating around the sides and in the back. There is a balcony with seating as well, but the show I attended didn't fill up enough for anyone to warrant getting off the floor

Serg Z

Accidentally ended up here for some DJ show and liked the atmosphere. It was mostly young people in the early twenties but it was chill anyway. Drinks are somewhat overpriced, just as you would expect at any DJ show.

Michael Barbosa

good experiences

jay M

Intimate venue great for music performances. Easy access to the bar, or a seat.

Ramses Reyes

Went here a while back, the place is awesome! We had VIP for a friends birthday and it was a total blast. DJ was killing it

Alex Crawford

Fun time but the bouncers are aggressive and hyper-confrontational, avoid them

Becks Brown

My friend is 31 and was denied entry bc they said she was too drunk. She had had one drink and me and my other friend were both trashed, so to let us in and not her, who was basically sober is pretty messed up. They did not give us justification as to why we could not go in and when we tried to say that we were good they just said no. We asked why and they would not even tell us why they didn’t let us in until the bouncer yelled that she was too trashed, when in fact the bouncer himself seemed drunk and dropped multiple IDs on the ground. We spoke to the PR person and told them what happened and they told us it happened often. We went to a few other bars, and were not denied entry. This bar is just overrated honestly.

From the moment you enter the Royale in Boston you are met with Friendly but Effective Security. Past Security you are transported into the Glory days of Boston's Big Swing Era . Atop the stairs you will find Your ticket guards and your ticket window Clerk for your online purchases. Very helpful. Again Atop the stairs you are welcomed with Grand Doors opening into the venue room. Coats on the Right, Bar & bathrooms also. Walk in and have a seat or mingle amongst the crowd all around the venue. No bad seats here. And standing is always the chosen option. This place was electric, Ministry ,as well as The God Bombs and Chelsea Wolf completed my night. What a great Experience. Great Staff. Positive Experience

Cassidy Tatro

Zero stars. Went to see Claude Von Stroke, the show was awesome. I went to use the ladies restroom. The first stall I entered I could see liquid, which I assumed to be urine, on the toilet seat. No big deal, I moved on to the next stall. Unfortunately the door did not lock. Okay, I moved on to the 3rd stall. It's clean, it locks and it has toilet paper! I set down my drink and start to undo my outfit that ties in the back..the attendant starts banging on the door and yelling at me to flush and leave?! Next thing I know a MALE STAFF comes in, bangs on the door, LOOKS THROUGH THE CRACK IN THE DOOR while I have my pants half way down and says something along the lines of "flush the drugs or your banned from the club". ANOTHER staff, a woman with walkie-talkie, starts yelling, at this point I'm confused, and trying to get dressed and get out. Second woman with radio FOLLOWS me back to my friends. This all happened in under 2 minutes. I wasnt taking a long time. I have no idea why i was being harassed. Or why a male staff came into a ladies bathroom.

Christine Kreshon

Came in from out of town and this place, and the owner, are incredible. The owner was really concerned about everyone having the best time. And the DJ they had performing on Saturday night was BOMB AF. I love to dance, but my husband is more reserved and he STILL talks about how much fun we had on that night. If you’re thinking about it, stop. And just go.

The Royale was in a really central location downtown, not far from the hotel I stay at. A 5-min Uber ride brought us right to the door, where there was no line. We went on Friday night for a HeRobust show (DJ) and showed up around 11, so we were pleasantly surprised to get in so quickly. The pat down was real quick and getting through the door only took about 5 minutes. The entrance is gorgeous, like an old style theatre with the double staircase leading to the floor. The layout was different and cool, they have lounge areas with couches off to the sides of the main floor. The balcony area is ok, but it's much much hotter up there and the music isn't as loud. You have to be on the main floor to get the full experience with most shows like this. The crowd was a diverse mix of Bassheads and likely Royale 'regulars'. I loved the 21+ age restriction. (The 18-21 crowd at shows can sometimes make you wonder why you go out.) It was a great show and good venue, crowd and overall night. I'll be back for the next good debstep show for sure.

S Raeisi

One of the best night clubs in Boston. Boston does not have a lot of night clubs and only has a few decent clubs. Royale is one of the decent ones. Good sound system (not top of the line but still good). good layout including a second floor and a basement. Alcohol is not crazy expensive and you may get a good cocktail if you are nice to the bartender. Younger college crowd make the majority of this club's scene specially on the weekends.

Peter

As old as this place is it deserves 5 stars. You can tell it's has character for a nightclub but what I really like about it is that it's one of the only theater style clubs in Boston which always for not just DJs but bands to play in such a huge club environment. I wish Boston had more clubs like this but it doesn't and people need to realize that this place will probably always be around.

Brandon Smith

I love every experience here I have seen a number of shows here but the best one was a random Friday I showed up and daft punk suprise dj set cane on and they just walked out on stage and rocked it! Drinks are awesomeand come fast there is plenty of bars and space to do your thing. I look foward to my visits here. Go look around and enjoy!!

Brian Finlay

Pretty large venue for some of the smaller acts I've seen. The mezzanine offers nice seating areas that offer great views of the stage and they usually have a satellite bar that does smaller pours for flat rates. Also the New York Pizza down the street is a dope spot for before or after a concert.

Sam Archer

Really cool room and stage, lounge atmosphere, great sight lines.

Jennifer Calogero

Rude staff. Yelled at us for following their direction. Double up-charge without a presale.

no mak

The first time I drove to Boston by myself was to see a reunited Concrete Blonde at the Royale. It was such a beautiful experience, and it empowered me to do this more often because the venue staff made it safe to do so. Plus, strong drinks, clean bathrooms, and not a bad seat in the house.

Dark Wulf

The best club in Boston

Georg Tuchlinski

Fun night with friendly staff. Big open space with stage and large dance floor. Good DJ with original Music. Edm / techno night. Cover was $20 and coat check $3.

Liz M

Beautiful club till you realize your on the third floor and do not see any well lit fire exits...staff is completley incompetant and rude..bouncers are way to aggressive and un professional.Never Again! place is a complete money pit/death trap-

J R

Nice venue and good food. Great selection of wine and beer. If you rent for private event it is worth it. For the club scene, fun to go to. Young crowd.

Premchand Ravella

Nice ambience. Fun place to spend Friday night. DJ is very good and people are very friendly. This is first place I went for a night club.

Edward Gyles

Beautiful venue :) excellent light and tremendous sound

Darth Taco

Great venue for live shows. Love the atmosphere!

Scott Morris

Attended a business function here in January. The place is huge and holds a lot of people. Drinks are extremely expensive. There is a balcony around 3/4 of the room with small tables to hang out at. Kinda nice if you want to get off the dance floor or away the bar. It is great place to see a live band with big open stage.

Anthony Rodriguez

Honestly place was pretty great mostly clean everywhere besides against the stage. Security he was A1, I was here with my GF and some dude we harrassing the girl next to us. Security peeped it and was like either leave her alone or I’m kicking you out and that wasn’t even the only time I witnessed them do it. Drinks are what you’d expect at a club. Great space and enough bars to not have to fight people to drink. Only reason I give it 4 stars is cause the sound system was okay. Didn’t feel like it reached the back

Jonah Smith

Neat place has old theater look and feel.

HAFAHA OLIVE

Don’t use your credit card in this place they adding large amount in tips without your permission always pay in cash that’s better

Stefano Barbier

Great concert spot. Kind of like a mix of a club and a concert venue. Place is huge which is great for concerts. Usually long line outside for a popular artist.

Neng Vue

My girls and I came from out of town and I cannot believe that the bartender, Lisa was sooo rude. My friend card got denied and she did about 15 transaction on just one transaction for no reason. She then refuse to give back her card and when I gave my card to her to pay for it, she never gave it back. Later when I saw a red card on their counter (I have a Wells Fargo card, which Boston don't have Wells Fargo btw) she told me that it's not my card and refuse to even show the card. She took no effort to look for it or to assure me that it WASN'T my card. And then when I look at my account later, it was charged $135 for only the 3 shots. I am beyond angry and sad that she pick certain groups and people to cheat off of. I'm in the middle of filing a claim to them because this is ridiculous.

Chris Rabbit

Bouncer called my friend a f****t when he was in line waiting to buy merch. This is unacceptable and until the bouncer is fired and the staff is trained appropriately, this place clearly doesn’t represent Boston and what we stand for.

Rudi Erlemann

We went to the Royale for a private party organized in parallel to a Biotech Convention. For that reason I can‘t speak about the usual service and party‘ers, but about the venue. The layout is quite nice and practical, good access to the dance floors, great sound system and friendly staff. One downside is the lack of a roof top terrace or so to light a cigarette. If you want to have a smoke you need to leave and risk a line up. So be warned.

Cedric Green

Still royale is one of the best venue around boston but i still attended the hillsong church & had a great time here.

And V

Very nice place. I like their serious approach to our safety and it is always good to be safe than sorry.

Nikoloz Gogilidze

They list this place as techno club but i dont even know what music it is. Total disaster

matt thomas

Fine spot to see a band but the clubbing hard cap was an issue. I saw Phosphorescent here and the show was great. Nice enough venue, nothing special. They have a club after the show and there was a hard cap on the show length and we were ushered out unceremoniously, that it to say brutally, by the staff right after the show. Revenue maximization is great and all, but there was a coldness here that was something to behold. Venue is fine.

Michael Spada

I want to like the Royale more but it's tough. The stairs to get in are extremely narrow, which makes leaving at the end of the night an absolute disaster. There's also way too much clutter on the floor. The bar is super obtrusive and in the way. It's just not the best designed venue. If you aren't right up front there's a strong chance you'll have a tough time seeing and maneuvering. The staff is perfectly pleasant and accommodating, the bouncers are great at dealing with BS, and there are several parking options directly across the street which I cannot complain about. Everything about the experience except the physical area itself is great, but seeing a show there is unfortunately a gamble.

Andre Allenberg

Saw Raphael Saadiq there. He is one of the kindest, over the top talented nicest people you could ever meet. Thx Ray Ray. The Royale is one of the best places to see a show

Oksana Yemelianova

Very old and very dirty.

chris Hoppe

Great place for a concert. The vintage theatre feel is incredible and the acoustics are great. You can easily walk right by the entrance without knowing it. the drinks are way overpriced and watered down.

Tricia Zawacki

Nice venue, rude security for no reason and way overpriced drinks. But for seeing a show they have a lot of good spots for viewing the second level is nice

Felix Hernadez

Met my baby mamma here, she is trifling

Kevin Hua

I've only been here for concerts. Decent medium sized venue.

Kelli von Trotha

Nice front desk staff. The room is a bit dated and showing the age of the place. Beds were not comfortable at all.

Kathy Crantz

Visits here every weekend and always enjoy the vibes ..

Jennifer Moseley

Went for a function, nice space. When it turns into a club the atmosphere definitely changes. Definitely not enough bathrooms for the women.

Si Chen

I went there twice this summer it was free on Saturdays. In general it was good considering they didn’t have big name DJs. I enjoyed myself. Definitely different from the grand interns of facility and the crowd. After all it’s a much older place. I liked it was a little over 11pm but they still let me and my friends in for free.

Elizabeth Leach

I went to see Jacob Banks perform. The location is easy to get to. They had the process for checking bags and tickets down to a science so the line didn’t get too long. They have a two drink min for using cards at the bar but they make great drinks. They have a great sound system and the venue itself is beautiful. All around great venue.

Ken Peffer

A blast Loved the intro to sam Adams 76

Alex Ghillie

One of the best concert venues I've been to!

email

Zero stars. Horrible club, poor lighting and sound . People full of attitude and ego but they can’t afford a drink lol .One of the worsts club I have been

Eric Mart

I went to see the Dandy Warhols on Tuesday. The venue is fine, and it was great to see the band. But the sound system was terrible. I could barely hear the band's vocals throughout the show, which was very disappointing. I'm not sure why the sound guys didn't notice and make adjustments.

Marina Bryant

From someone who has frequented a lot of nightclubs, this nightclub is a total rip off. It is $25 or more for GA which is absolutely not worth it for their venue and accommodations. They said that on the 4th if july weekend they would have free entrance before 11 pm but they did not honor that as described previously. Highly would not recommend to anyone visiting the Boston area. You are better off paying at the grand, icon, Memoire etc.

Harshal Shah

Awesome place to hang out with friends! Regular price drinks. Good music and good crowd. Close to MIT, Boston University and Haward.

Jay Spaz

Am disgusted that 4 of us traveled so far to see Space Jesus had purchased tickets got there parked across street walked in got searched was all happy excited that we made it to support a local artist. As one car drove from RI another car drove thru a blizzard in Pittsburgh PA to make it to support Space Jesus on time got to Royale after being searched they would not let us use our tickets to catch the last of the show. But they allowed re entry but we didn't even enter yet. So 4 of us purchased tickets and had valid tickets couldn't get let in with tickets we purchased. That makes no sense and is wasteful. If someone buys a ticket they should be allowed in long they have a ticket that is what generates sales and good promotions. Obviously for what I encountered is Royale not there for the fan base or supporting local artists. So many flaws to the establishment unfortunately not what it used to be.

Gabby d'antona

Not the best place, but I enjoyed myself- I prefer the balcony over the floor because it is more spacious. Bathroom isn’t bad; it’s not the cleanest but not disgusting either.

Rose M

it's ok. bar staff can be rude. very expensive drinks and they try to give you very expensive bottled water when you ask for tap. also, in the bathroom, the bathroom attendee kept peeking in through the stalls watching me to tell me to hurry. which i'm pretty sure is really not okay???? not my favorite venue at all, but some of my favorite artists have played there. i came for rusko twice, and then space jesus.

Christopher Taylor

The show was good but the beer was limited.

kenneth mwatha

I was staying with college buddies at the Marriott next door. We got back from dinner and one my friends was in, let's call it a jovial mood, and was not willing to call it a night. He was pretty tipsy and when we got to the entrance to the Marriott he walked over to the entrance to the Royale. Someone had to stay with him for his own safety. I was willing to go in with him but decided to run upstairs to the room before going into the Royale. I returned 5 minutes later to find my friend was already inside. I walked up to the bouncer and took out my ID. He told me to step out of line and proceeded to tell me that I was "too drunk" to be allowed inside. I looked at him in disbelief and asked him if there was any way I could prove that I was not intoxicated. He said no and asked me to step out of line. Here's the thing. My friends, and everyone else in line were white. The crowd that night was overwhelming white. I'm black. I stuck out like a sore thumb. I realized that the presence of my friends had gotten me into places that would never have let me in. In their absence, I got to see the truth. It saved me the $20 cover but got me thinking about clubs that have a "no athletic apparel and sneakers" policy. I was profiled that night. It wasn't that big of a deal in the end as my friend made it back to the room shortly after. I put this out there because what that Caucasian bouncer did was wrong and may matter for someone else. It may matter for my son or daughter and for them, I choose not to be silent.

Jason mccarthy

Ministry at the Royal was a positive experience tie be had again

Josh Melo

Security was fast and sort of lacking at the door for a concert. Checked purses only. On the inside everyone was respectful, security looked very attentive and walked around to make sure everyone was being safe and respectful. Decent enough sound system but the sound mixer felt like they dropped the ball at times since it was 70% drums 30% lyrics. Everything else was good though. Would go again.

Kimmie

Saw X-Ambassadors there last night for the second time. My 9th time seeing them in total. Idk if something happened but it seems they only play for an hour. A little disappointed. But overall the venue is awesome!!!

Joseph Kenney

Have been here for a multitude of concerts, they always put on a very professional show. Can't say the same about the crowd, but there's not much they can do about that. One of the better venues in Boston!

Matthew Thompson

Bartenders are impatient and hella entitled even if they only mix a vodka cran.

Mohsen Azimi

Security people are super rude and unprofessional

John Marcus

Ok, so you're looking for a nice club in Boston. You're a normal person, just looking for a good time, maybe a little dancing. This IS NOT the place for you. It is in a seedy area and the bouncers look like ex football players cut from the team for being out of shape. Oh, but did you purchase tickets beforehand? Don't expect that to mean that they will let you through the door! I know what you're thinking. This guy is just sore. Trust me, this is the WORST place I have ever been to. It gives Boston a bad name. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

Manikantha Dronamraju

The most happening club of Boston

Scott Anderson

Awesome venue to catch a concert! Small with good line of sights to the stage. If the floor is crowded head upstairs to the balcony.

Mikaela Lorenzano

Love the club once you’re inside, but it’s extremely annoying how the website says open 10pm-2am, yet the 10+ times I’ve gone, I’ve waited outside in line while the bouncers laugh and chat together until at least 10:30-10:45 before they even started letting anyone inside. Usually by that point I’ve moved on to another bar/club.

Nick Yager

Had a great experience at the Aaron Lewis show on 11/7/2014. Club management was exceptional in helping with a ticketing issue (not their fault). Security was adequate but not intrusive. The venue its self is beautiful inside. Bartenders were courteous and drinks were fairly priced for the market. Parking was affordable directly across the street and there were plenty of restaurants around after the show. I will definitely seek out shows at the Royale in the future as our overall experience was exceptional.

Shawn McGrath

Great place to go dancing at night with a group. The assortment of types of people can make for a very interesting night as well. Royale is also great for comedy shows and other functions that come here.

Tony Manzella

Great place to see live music.

Jeff Bachman

Do not go to concerts here! The headliner goes on before 8pm and finishes at 9! NO ENCORE! You pay $25-50 for ONE HOUR of music? What a rip! The staff is extremely pushy and clears the venue immediately following the band. So not only are you getting ripped off on music, but you can’t enjoy the venue either. They hustle people out so they can charge a second cover for the club night after. People in Boston do not know how bad they have it - in other cities paying $40 means you can see the band and party all night after! Music consumers need to require more and stop being satisfied with this middling theft. oh and $12 for tiny mix drinks with 1 oz of liquor - my soul cries at how terrible your party is.

Saints Knight

Great sound systen but those lights really blind you.

sarah jane

If I could post a pic of the bruises I have on my arm from the bouncers, I would. My friend and I were in the bathroom and she was in the stall, she sat down on the floor to make a phone call. I was knocking on her door trying to get her to hurry to get out, and the lady who works inside the bathroom runs out and brings bouncers into the bathroom I tried to explain to them she was only Sitting down making a phone call cuz it’s more quiet in there but they wanted to kick us out when we didn’t do anything wrong so I proceeded to walk out of the bathroom onto the dance floor and they grabbed me so hard and treated me like the scum under their shoes. I spent so much money at this place and for them to treat me and my friend the way they did was completely uncalled for. I will NEVER BE COMING HERE AGAIN!!!!!

Ed Harper

Great place to see a band. Wonderful space, never far from the stage

Austin Butler

Great venue, decent prices for drinks. Very accessible bathrooms and easy to get in and out of. I have gone there for a couple of concerts and was able to get to the front very easily. Enjoy.

Robert F. Jobin Jr.

Never been to a nightclub so wasn't sure what to expect. They do reservations for company parties and that was why I was there. They were jerks to a 20 year old who was a girlfriend of an employee instead of explaining and getting her a waiver or something. Staff was meh otherwise.

Micah Kenfield

Saw Saint Motel there - incredible venue, great and professional staff, and very well prepared beverages.

Shanice H

A member of our group was denied entry because of their supposedly semi-formal dress code, but other people inside the lounge were wearing the same garb, if not worse. Anyway, the atmosphere was okay but the music selection wasn't up to par.

Riku Xiong

The place was nice. The bouncer were ok (they did their job) but the bartenders especially one gal (said her name was Lisa) she was horrible. A friend of mine bought 3 shots but her card was supposedly declined then I used my card to pay for the drinks and it was declined as well (I clearly had over 1000 dollars in my checking at the time). I had to demand for my card back which after telling the bartender a few time she finally gave me back my card. My friend couldn't get her card back until the drinks were paid. A different friend used her card and it went through but the bartender never gave her card back only the friend that order the drinks got hers back. I think this place tries to steal people's card and charge them with a bunch of things they never order. The next day I was charged $75 dollars when my card supposedly declined. Also my two friend had a bunch of transactions, the one that her card went through was charged over $100 for 3 shots of patron. Seriously, with how much they charge us, we could've bought how many bottles already. We came from out of state too. Stay Away From This Place!

Edward Naughton

Great place to see concerts. General admission, so you can get close

Dabcrate Distribution

Awesome venue. We were here for the Sensi Magazine night. Royale was packed, it was an awesome night. Staff was more than friendly. Will definitely be back!

Eugene Gu

Overall great venue. Good sound, professional staff, quick bartenders and well maintained facilities. Enjoying every time when coming there

Bradford Howard

Honestly worst venue I have went to. I wemt there for dragathon and I was appalled by the lack of care security had. Me and a friend asked for security three times because the people behind us were beyond drunk and were pouring drinks on us falling on us and none were kicked out. One of the performers had to leave because of this and had an argument with staff for lack of care. Sadly I cant get a refund for this because I did spend a lot of money but I hope to never have to come to this venue again.

Toao Taj

Saw Enslaved and a few other metal bands here...what a neat, intimate venue! They even have a couple of lounge sofas near the stage if you get tired of standing...solid sound and lighting

Laurel Cohen

Rude employees and unnecessarily agressive security lol careful y'all. Otherwise a pretty venue

Kamille Parker

I've been not for the club, but for a concert thus everything was cleared out. There was only standing room on the lower level with the exception of one or two seats in the back. Up top where I happened to find myself had more seating. Honestly I've been to better venues, but it was okay. Drinks were pricey and they actually charged me a dollar more looking back at my statement a few days ago. They have the capability of having good lighting.

Matthew Cardoso

Great concert space. Lots of bars and easy access to drinks. Best views are from the balcony.

Sam Antczak

If you don’t specific Malloy make contact with the bouncer at the stairs on your way out they will not let you back in. So you will not be able to buy over price drinks for a less than decent flange flor that you could find at any other bar on a normal week/weekend. Ight of the week. Waste of money and time.

Dipen Patel

Nice dance club.. Because of old building it’s smells a lot.. Drink prices are expensive like hell.. Never expected drink prices .. They charge $7 for soda .. And drinks almost $18 ..

Lisa P

Went here for a concert, pretty big venue. The staff are way nicer than House of Blues in Boston. I haven't gone out clubbing here yet though. Will update, if I do decide to party here.

Isabel Argento

I always have fun here. You may have to wait in line, pay a cover, & look normal. But I have had only positive experiences doing so! I even left my coat & two weeks later they returned it to me, and were incredibly nice [+super cute] in doing so… It’s a great default Saturday night spot

david ahearn

I have always love this club until my most recent experience here. One of their newest security guards likes to extort money from guests and then acts disrespectful when you refuse to pay him. A friend of mine had to give the security guard money to get thru and it being his first time there he thought he was paying the cover. He then attempted to confiscate a vaporizer telling me I could get it back for free after the show or 'take care of him and I could get it back inside." When I didn't pay him inside he then attempted to get money at the end of the show as well. This club is an expensive enough night out without having having some scumbag ruin your time. Hopefully this security guard gets fired because I will discontinue going to this club for this reason.

Heidi Fales

Horrible service.

Godfrey Ainooson

Staff is lovely, bouncers are very attentive and take their job seriously. Great place for concerts as well.

The audio quality and mixing were awful at the concert I attended here. I went to see a wonderful band and could barely hear the vocals--the instruments completely drowned out the voices. It was also so loud that it distorted the music. Except for that, the place is okay, but I'll never go back. Also, beware of the Noble app for ordering drinks. It was actually cheaper at the cash bar, even with the $2 discount they handed out for drinks ordered through the Noble app.

This place definitely doesn't draw a high end crowd but the performers they bring in for music is top notch. Staff tries to keep the stupid drunks in check but can only do so much.

Great concert venue, I've seen Blue October here twice now, the sound quality is amazing, the room is spacious enough that you're not sandwiched in between people like a sardine, yet can still get a very close, good view of the stage. Coat check was as its expected to be, with the added perk of an extra friendly, and having a very memorable personality attendant working the window. I was extremely surprised and grateful that free ice water was provided upon request at the bar, because needing to decide if using your train fare home is worth the price to relieve extreme thirst, and most venues do not offer this at all, you have to spend the $4 for a bottle of water or you get nothing, so it was much appreciated. The only negative thing that I have to say about it is, the extremely long wait time to get in, due to truly unnecessary full body pat downs, in depth inspections of all bags, and it seemed like they were actually removing people from line and sending them back out, I find this to be an absolute ridiculous practice, it slows things down drastically and honestly prevents some people from getting in to see the band before they began their performance, I've been to many other clubs/concert venues and have never experienced anything like this before. I'd advise you to bring only your tickets, I.D (because that's a must have for entrance to the Royale), money, credit/debit card, keys, and cell phone, and nothing else, besides maybe your jacket (with empty pockets) if you're going to be attending a show here.

Big place! Bartenders seemed really nice. I think there is a dress code but i was there on Halloween.

The manager/security fellow Kelly does his job well and keeps the environment safe and orderly. The venue is spacious and fun and there's enough room to sit, stand or dance the night away!

Lying about ticket prices (free girls admission before 11 pm, except not really sucker haha its $25 general admission) and asinine coat check item policy, $3 per item. Want to get ripped off, go here. Want to check a purse, a sweater and a coat all for the same person? $9 even though they put your sweater and coat on the same hanger Djs arent any better than whisky saigon. Same screeching crappy remixes of songs, when all people want to hear are the original songs.

They made us wait outside in line for a whole hour after the concert was supposed to start, then wouldn't let us in because we was wearing sweat shorts.... horrible never going back, don't waste your time.

Really disappointed in this club. We got there early before it opened and still had to wait 1 hour before getting in. Then $25 cover charge was crazy. Finally inside and the DJ was horrible.

If you like the clubbing/dance scene, this is the place you want to go! It is a one of kind venue in Boston that is always a packed house. Cons: The cover is a bit high and the lines are a bit hefty!

Live Love

Simple venue, love shows here.
