Tried to plan a VIP night for a friend's birthday, figured it would be as easy as calling and booking. Nope, called, left messages, called, and nothing. Went there for the beginning of the evening for dancing which was great. But left after only a couple of drinks for 51 Wharf right around the corner where we got a better deal and had a fantastic VIP experience with bottle service. The VIP area for Pearl while we were there.. Empty.

Had a great night at this venue... until the bartenders got in a dispute with a customer. What started as a screaming match turned into a dangerous situation. The asian bartender began throwing things from behind the bar and ended up hitting random people (me being one of them). I have never seen that in any bar or club I have been to. Incredibly unprofessional.

I always have a great time here - great music, drinks, staff, crowd, etc. To highlight how friendly the staff is, I was visiting Portland to see family a few months ago, and lost my purse during a night of having a little too much fun (obviously). Retracing my steps, I went to Pearl to see if it had been found at the location, during a particularly busy time. I was promptly directed to someone who was obviously in a leadership role, who, instead of laughing at me and making me feel stupid, was more than happy to check several locations within the bar where the purse would be if the staff did find it. The purse was not found at Pearl (was found on some random balcony), but the staff was genuine in wishing me the best.

Bartender was weirdly rude every time we had to interact with her. At the end, she charged us for 2 extra bud lights, when we hadn't even been drinking bud light (but her friends she was chatting with at the other end of the bar were drinking it, coincidentally . . . ). She said she voided it when we pointed out the problem but the charge still went through and now have to go back in personally to get it fixed because mgmt hasn't returned phone calls.

Great place to dance and drink. Fun and feels secure and safe for a club. DJ is super nice and will take requests and give shout outs when you ask. Had lots of fun for friends birthday. Bartenders are really nice and make great drinks.

This is by far my favorite place to go. On the weekends I can go dance on the floor in Pearl, when I want a breather I can walk thru to Pub Side and cool down without even having to go outside. The staff is great, bar tenders are amzing, fun and gorgeous!! The bouncing staff is very good and makes me feel safe. Never seen an issue inside the club. I just love it here!!!

Your security made a serious mistake when you assumed that my friend had a fake ID. Gave him a hell of a time. As soon as he gave it to police they thought it was good but scanned to make sure. The vibe of this place is terrible and VERY judgmental. Shut down.

If you like crowds and good music, this is one of the only places in town that offers this atmosphere. Drinks are good! And they also have another space with a wholr bar where people can just hang out.

This place is a nightmare. They constantly have ignorant thuggish people forming a wall at the bar that refuse to move after service but instead gawk and blockade the bar from customers getting service when asked the bar tending staff and bounce staff seem to be afraid to move them along. Weak at best and the place constantly has issues with unwanted touching and fights. Will not return
