Below Zero is a very welcoming and fun place. Bartenders are friendly and experienced. They make a Fabulous cocktail! Great place to hang out and have a cocktail with friends or to dance the might away. They have Karaoke during Happy Hour on Wednesdays and Thursday nights. I would definitely say check it out.

Well! I was a regular here for a very long time but...Nigel "The Owner" is a very greedy individual and it's something i have known for several years now. They recently started charging people just to go upstairs which is absolutely absurd! I myself have stopped going to Below Zero along with a very large amount of my friends due to this horrible change, It is like disrespect in my eyes and that is just the way i see it, None of them drag queens are even worth going upstairs for because they are "Old News" the main reason i even went up is to interact with more friends that once frequented the bar but not now lol. Nigel Cotterill is a very disgusting individual! He absolutely despises women and cannot stand the female presence.

Typically this place is always a hit, my visit yesterday though was less than exciting. They seem to have switched out the entire staff the guy at the door was unfriendly when we walked up We started to go in and the guy told us to turn around and wait as if we were to have already known there was a wait. then he allowed four other people to walk right in the front door and Scanned their I d's. The bartender had no clue how to make 3 different type of shots that I have gotten their on many occasions, He said he can only make basic shots unless i knew what's in them. What kind of Bartender can't make basic shot request?? We typically would have stayed in there a lot longer but due to the service we thought it best to take our business elsewhere.

Great music and atmosphere. Fantastic staff and strong drinks. Several security staff members so guests feel safe and comfortable...especially post Orlando Pulse 2016. Voted best dance club in the city several years running.

Had a good time,people were awesome, but when my friend was over served and we were in the bathroom because she thought she might throw up they kicked us out onto the street. I feel like vomit in the toilet is better than the sidewalk in front of a business, but they disagreed. The crowd was fun, and helpful though and good music.

Cute little place. I've been here a number of times, and personally have had nothing short of positive experiences. The vast majority of the bar staff is friendly and happy to help, and even when there's a large crowd the wait for drinks tends to err on the short side. Restrooms are clean and in good condition, and it's a good time without being rowdy or uncouth. Personally, I go for the drag shows at Cabaret (upstairs), but this review stands for the facilities both up and downstairs. **photos from upstairs at the Cabaret**

Our Bartender was nice but I witnessed the owner being extremely rude to women as they left the establishment. Very unprofessional and not someplace I will be taking my business. There were over 3500 coworkers in town for a convention and many of those I spoke with agreed that they won’t be visiting after hearing about how women were treated. So sad.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Never a cover. Always plenty of parking to be found dwtn. Great, hip spot in OTR. Fantastic, mixed/varied, hip crowd. Downstairs is Below Zero, a large bar, a few tables and a small dance floor that get sacked late. Upstairs....LAWD...it's Cabaret on Th, Fri and Sat nights. Hosted by the one and only Penny Tration (from RuPaul's Drag Race). She is AMAZING and HILARIOUS and really gets the crowd going. Brooklyn Steele Tate, Quasi, Mirelle Divine and the LEGEND and GODDESS of drag herself, Chelsea Pearl round out the cast. Did I mention...THERE IS NEVER A COVER???? Great friendly staff mixing great cocktails. It gets CROWDED on Fri and Sat nights...the crowd LOOOOOVES Penny and the show...get there early, check your attitude at the door, have a good, stiff drink and prepare to have a blast. Hands down, Cincinnati's BEST gay/straight-friendly night out...BAR NONE (and I drive up from Lexington to go here. Yes, it's THAT good.).

Drinks here are good. Staff is friendly unless you are disrespectful of the regulars or the audio equipment which is completely understandable. Karaoke was very popular some of the people were astonishing others were laughable... but I think overall I was impressed more by the good ones because I don't see performances like that usually at karaoke. Side note : it is a gay bar. Cool with me but if it's not cool with you stay home.

Cozy LGBTQ bar. The Cabaret is located above the bar and has live drag shows each weekend. The actual bar has small cheese plates for purchase and a nice atmosphere.

Does a good job of fulfilling its niche. Definitely a gay bar, but open to the hetero crowd (which is me). Beer selection is less than stellar, but it's more of a liquor place and there are a ton of mixed drink options. Great bartenders. Upstairs has drag, comedy, and music shows.

What is there NOT to like about Below Zero? That is unless you're a scared stiff homophobe... but even then... I've been here numerous times, with the girlfriends, with the gay friends, with the hubby, and each times its awesome. For those that are worried about it being a gay bar... seriously.. get with it. The people here are awesome! Especially the staff. They do really try to make sure you're enjoying yourself, or find a drink you like. With tons of vodka options, how can you really miss? They are known for their martinis and cosmos, both of which i happen to love! The atmosphere is definitely that of a lounge. it's relaxing and inviting, with plenty of space, or a cozy little corner. If you don't like GaGa or show tunes... you might not have a good time. There are music videos playing along with the music, thats definitely tunes you can dance to. There's an upstairs that has different types of shows going on all the time. But get there early as there's only enough space. This is a great place to have fun and dance, or to come and relax. Everyone I've ever gone with has enjoyed themselves, and the drinks!
