Here you have all the reviews of real people like you who bought the services of The Max (Night Club) in the state of Iowa.
At the present this firm has a score of 4.1 stars out of 5 and that score has been based on 132 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is quite good, and it's based on a large number of reviews, so we can say that the assessment is very credible. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Night Club corresponds to the category of Gay bar.
It was alot of fun. Staff were friendly. Only problem I had was I felt the music the dj was playing had the same playlist playing over and over. It was starting to get annoying.
Very nice place, everyone is so nice ! Great prices on drinks , entertainment ! I had a great time !
I had an overall good time but the bartenders weren’t very pleasant. One of them served a girl that had just walked up to the bar before me although I had been standing there for 10 minuets trying to get a drink. The girl insisted I go first but the bartender made her order before me. Was very bizarre. Then when I ordered for two people who were with me he snapped at me and said I wasn’t allowed to order for other people. Although we were all paying together. Very strange he wasn’t professional or friendly at all.
Have had some staff issues , but overall always a great time, wish it was an +male only+ club. Fun dancing music two dance floors and so much more! But seriously see it for yourself, it's mostly a nightclub and not really a gay club
Love the atmosphere, and the place. Would definitely come back when I'm back in Omaha!!! Thanks Dillon for being such a great bartender!!!
I had so much fun. I like the different rooms with different music and the pool area!
Hadn’t been here in over 7 years, went there last month and while we had a good time with friends, overall it was lacking in customer service. The bathrooms looked like no one had stopped by to clean them in a while and there was no more toilet paper. Super crowded, and one of the bartenders was down right rude.
Worst service provided by the one gay bartender he was very RUDE..... I wish I knew his name.
Nice as usual.
Staff is great, people are grat, intelligent lighting is perfect! My only suggestion, please look for DJS that stay up to date with the music. Often times I see folks all dancing, then this one song comes on and then everyone leaves the dance floor. Keep the momentum with the music!
As someone who clu
Great atmosphere
Great club, worst bartenders
Lots of dancing and selfies
This is a good and only place to go out in Omaha. The nightlife scene being what it is, this is about your only decent option. On Saturdays, expect the place to be mostly full of bachelor and wedding parties (straight) and otherwise hetero crowd. Like most cities in America, online hook up apps have killed the gay bar scene. Too bad...
Rude ass staff
No cards? It’s 2019 y’all.

So hip. So clean. So flawless. So NYC in Omaha. A must destination when partying in the Big O!
Drag show fun.
Always fun to dance there, but service is slow and bartenders are often drunk in my experience . If you're there past 1, people get rowdy, drinks get spilled on you, and it takes 10 mins just to get a bartender's attention.
I met my husband Richie of 28 years. Be4 we lost are fight with cancer and he passed away in December 1St 2012.I love and miss you so so very very much my sweet Richie. hugs&kisses happy new years everyone may you all have a very good&safe year God bless you all
Circa 1989, I'm an old school attendee. I was an insecure little girl, who didn't know who she was with her sexual orientation back then. I had a couple female roommates who were engaged, Kymm and Sue. They later broke up and I honestly don't have a clue if they got back together. They introduced me to their friends, one in particular is Sharon "Tripp" Brown, she had a young daughter named Sam (Samantha age 4+/- then). These woman showed me the best time at The Run and The Max. I was stoked to see after 28 years these places are still around. I moved back to KC after my several month adventure living in Omaha. We would frequent these places quite regularly. I'm not sure if anything else was even available back then, I've noticed there are a lot more choices on the map these days. I felt more comfortable in these bars than any bar I've ever walked into. The people are so friendly, dancing and have a great chill time. Heterosexuals could really learn from this beautiful behavior. I'd truly like to know how my old friends are doing?! If anyone knows of Tripp or Kymm or Sue...I know these names must be very vague, but I had to give it a shot. I haven't seen or talked to them in 28 years and would truly like to know how they're doing. If someone reads this and knows them, please show them. These are old school dykes, in their fifties, and I'm guessing Tripp is still around, and if that's true, everyone knows her or of her. TIA I hope this works! Call me, Tripp! "I'm not conceited, I'm convinced." - Tripp circa 1989 I stopped by the other day, I had family with me so I didn't go inside. I gathered from the outside that it's still the same local club with multiple venues inside that you love. I had the best times at The Max! My first club experience ever and what a way to learn to club. I have traveled all over and this one is pretty special to me. I'm going to have to drive back up one Friday night and just experience it all again for the fun of it.
Awesome place to meet new people. Clean environment . And being gay you can always be yourself.
Rude customer service.
Always pleasant and great service.friendly awesome bartender Anthony.
The best club in the city! They have two dance floors, one more hip-hop, the other more stylised to electronic dance music. Make sure you wear something light though as it gets very hot.
I love this place . It’s the best in Omaha
Gay and fun! Put on your dancing shoes or get ready to share in great conversation outside on the patio!
3 stars because it is definitely the coolest club in Omaha but not 5 because the music here is ALWAYS sub par/borderline garbage.. If they could get better music and live DJs here, it would be awesome!
Acceptable bar, good drinks
Super fun club!
The staff at the door welcomed us warmly and the before midnight crowd was AWSOME! After midnight it got a lil busy for me but still had a great time and defiantly will recommend for all who visit the Omaha area freinds, family and co-workers alike :D
I live in Tampa and judging by the photos, we don't have any place like The Max. I'm living in the wrong city. And I can't afford to move. Yet.
The music is fun but one room was a lot quieter than the other and it didn't fill it. The bartender we had wasn't the friendliest. The lights were amazing though and the one room that had music at the appropriate level was absolutely fantastic. I've been told this is the number one club in Omaha. It was certainly packed by the time we left. It filled up by 11pm the Saturday night we came to visit. Pro tip: they only accept cash. There is an ATM inside that you can pull cash out of.
I love the Max. Been going there for years and always have a great time. However, my complaint is the same complaint every person tells me: they never ever change the music. It's the same music as 10 years ago. I've told the owner and told the dj but nothing seems to change. All they need is to train the dj or else have guest dj's. Then people would enjoy it more. While the dj is rocking out to his favorite tune, everyone on the dance floor is checking their phone. All my friends have said the exact same thing. Hopefully they listen before they have to shut their doors.
It's the best club in Omaha. Usually pretty packed on Friday and Saturday, but doesn't really fill up until later in the night. The room/dance floor on the left always has something, "different", going on. Not really sure what the deal is because it's never filled. Also the DJ could use some help, but does really well for the most part. Just needs occasional reminding that he's playing for people who came to drink and dance. The back patio is nice and there are plenty of bars (3! Count them! 3!!). It's your typical gay club but straight females and their predators seemed to have infiltrated to some extent. Either way, it's usually a good time out here.
If you want to dance, the Max is perfect. Great DJs who play all your favorite songs so you never want to get off the dance floor. Two separate dance floors with different kinds of music and just a great time. Drinks are pricey and aren't the greatest and cover is $10 after midnight so make sure to get there before then. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest of course, but definitely check it out.
They are so nice and inviting plus so much to do and a great atmosphere.

Always loved the place until one night the bar supervisor lady was super rude to my bf and myself for no reason. She kept helping other people and told us to go to another bar. Our friends who came after us tried to buy us a drink and she wouldn't let them. We went to another of their 5 bars and the bartender was super nice. I haven't been there since the night.
Very fun place, feels safe and friendly. Great and unique people every time <3
Who knew a club could be so fun in Omaha, Nebraska. I’ve been to a lot of clubs. And this would have to be on my top list of gay clubs; however, expect it to be mixed straight and gay. The lighting, music variety, and different dance rooms set this place apart. The venue itself is modern and setup well. The only dislike was that the bartenders were inattentive and there needs to be more of them. Oh and there are too many drunk white girls who can’t keep their composure.
For years, The Max was just a place to dance the night away -- it has two large dance rooms, five bars, an outdoor patio with a fountain, and a quieter upstairs lounge with pool tables. More recently, they've added weekday activities like karaoke nights, trivia nights, and television viewing for things like Drag Race. There's also free WiFi.
There's always broken glass and dog crap in front of the building. Can't even get near the door.
One of the coolest nightlife spots in Omaha. Multiple levels and types of music, awesome patio area.

Greatest club you will find in the Midwest. Rivals even some of biggest you'll find in the US.
This is the best dance bar in the Midwest. Great dancing, music, drinks specials and entertainment.
Great place!!!! Met my current man friend there
The best gay club I've been to hands down!
It's a fun place if you leave before it gets too late. By one am there are usually drunk people falling into me and in one instance a guy almost knocked my friend over on the dancefloor by just running into her and not even acknowledging it. There were mysterious pills all over the floor and the bathrooms were DESTROYED by the time we left. The drinks aren't great and neither is the music. The lights and dancefloor are impressive though.
Amazing place. Love it.
Best experience ever!!. Great atmosphere and everyone just have a good time. I would go here again if I had someone to go with. Who wants to go?
The bartender broke two glasses over the ice and proceeded to make drinks. When we told a bartender and asked for our drinks to be remade we were told to prove there was glass in our drinks and told to not worry about it. We told a second bartender who said he'd "remake them this time but if we have a problem with the drinks we're to go to the same bartender that made them." Like we'd go back to the same bar for more glass in our drinks? Thankfully that bartender did tell someone else who promptly went upstairs to talk check the situation. No telling if the glass was cleaned out of the ice bin.

I love this place me being single is the best times of my life love it
RUDEST Staff in town!!!! They think that because they are a big club they can treat people like they dont matter, over priced ****hole
Cheap drinks, usually pretty empty on the weekdays and even some Fridays and Saturdays... bartenders don't know how to make lots of drinks...
Have always loved coming here, but this last Saturday night (1/19) was probably our last visit. Our first stop was the bar straight down from the front doors, right in front of the doors to the smoking patio. The bartender at this bar was HORRIBLE! I work in customer service, as does the entire group I was with and he was easily the worst service individual we have ever encountered. A member of our group ordered a few shots for the group and a drink for themselves. He told him the total, he paid, then the bartender put the shots up and moved on to the next person. Our group member asked about his drink and the bartender completely ignored him. Multiple members of our group began asking where his drink was and continued to ignore us all. He then copped a major attitude and said that he hadn't ordered or paid for a drink, just the shots. Another patron next to our group had the exact same situation while we were there as well. I think management or ownership needs to step in here, because you have staff members literally stealing money from your patrons. Your cash only policy ensures this is easy for your staff and that there is no paper trail. Will probably not be back.
The layout of the bar is super cool but the bartenders there are TERRIBLE. They seem to serve male customers and ignore female customers. The bartenders were also super intoxicated and sloppy, and lastly they over pour by a ridiculous amount.
The music was bumpin’, the people were cool, and the drinks were mixed perfectly! The building itself is maintained perfectly and if things start to get a bit much for you, the outside smoking area out back is chill enough to cool anyone down. If you’re LGBTQ+ who’s looking to be social or just an Ally who likes to party, I highly recommend this bar!
If you are looking for a true club, this is it! This place can hold its place amongst the best in the nation. LGBT friendly but all feel welcome! Come dance, have fun, and never feel unsafe! BRING CASH they do not take cards.
Excellent club all around that comes highly rated by The New York Times. Looks like something you'd find in a big city on the West Coast. Several sections (lounge, two dance areas - electronic & hip-hop, outdoor patio, etc.) for what suits your fancy. Nice bevy of drinks. Amusingly, you'll read reviews that call this a rather straight gay club, based on the mix of people on some nights. I just see it as something for everyone. As others have noted, I kept thinking: "We have this in Nebraska?!"

Best place to dance in Omaha! You have to go!
This bar has a lot races fights and the bouncers let anyone in regardless if they look like they are looking for trouble. About 5wks ago this trashed trailer park guy was so drunk threw a glass drink into the glass door and shattered it. There is really no protection there
horrible customer service. rude bartenders, rude cocktail servers, and awful management. the snorting of coke off the back of the toilets in the bathroom was very distasteful. the bar is a run down outdated dump in a serious need of a make over/face lift. it is almost as run down as the run.
The max is not the place to be,the bar tenders were rude and the manager had nothing to say! Paid 10.00 to get in and it sucked!
Love it
Probably the best nightclub in Omaha. It can be fun for a straight guy, but be aware that it is technically a 'gay bar.' The bar only accepts cash. Large dance floor and good music. Pretty women always seem to be here.

Stopped by for literally three seconds, just to see the atmosphere and find have a little warm conversation since I’ve been on a bus for the last 26 hours. Before I could get two words out, I was given a dirty look and was told to leave because I forgot my wallet on the other side of the country. I understand doing your job, but I also understand doing your job with some actually hospitality. That is what you get paid for.

Just a great place to let loose, dance, and party in a judgement free zone. There are multiple bars with different music vibes and an outdoor patio. Pro tip - bring cash. There is a cover on Saturdays. The only downfall to this bar is that the entrance and bar lines can get long. That said, I can't blame the crowd for wanting to be here. :)
So fun!! Great atmosphere. Great music!!!
Great place
They called me a bottom :) I was flattered
I used to love going to this club, until my last visit and I will never go back. I was in the club for over an hour with my friends. Then we got our hands stamped so we check out some other bars, then return to the club. The stamp was a small thin red circle with a thin line in the middle. Upon our return they staff let my two friends in, but told me I had to pay because most on my stamp had been rubbed off my skin. Then the staff proceeds to tell me they "don't liked to be tricked." They tricked themselves because other clubs downtown have stamps that actually say their business name and is big and distinguishable.
happy Hanukkah
I have been here many times and have never had a bad experience the staff is always friendly, cook to serve you , and overall atmosphere is fantastic
Best place to dance in Omaha. Gay or straight, doesn't matter, just bring your dancing shoes. There's a $10 cover on Saturdays after 9ish PM, so come prepared with cash.
This is a nice bar. Good prices great drinks and good crowd. They could use a new DJ however, they constantly play the same music and they very rarely can play request.
First club I’ve ever been to with NO Re-entry would of been nice to know before paying the cover. Bartenders were understaff only having 2 at each station. Waited 20+ minutes to get served.
I used to love going to the max and always recommended it to others! There was an extremely rude bartender this last time that I went!!... I'm not planning on going back to buy overpriced drinks and be disrespected again.
