Wow! It not often you get cheerful service these days! This place has stellar service. The food was great. My son said it was the best salad he had had, ever! Buffalo burgers and meatloaf and a nice menu! Worth a try!

Many quality brews on tap. Many more in the bottle. Excellent wine and liquor selection. The portion of meals are huge. The fish and chips were perfectly prepared. You get a sizable portion. The atmosphere is wonderful. Restrooms are clean. You can even use the slot machines for a win.

As we walked through the door, a customer was leaving and gave us a warning: "Big plates!" They were very correct, which was perfect because my group was very hungry and searching for a good bison burger. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was great. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. Upgrading to buffalo meat on your burger is 100% worth it! Other things on the menu, like the regular burgers, burritos, and pulled pork sandwich were also very good. Overall a wonderful experience and we would love to come back if we are ever in the area.

A big disappointment. Buffallow burger was less tastfull than a regular one and those come out quite dull. I did have after fat burps (sorry for the visual) a faithfull sign of too fat and low quality. The salad was simple and plain. We left with 60$ tab for four and a very unhappy customer. Won't be comming back. Frankly, I failed to see what others found in this place.

We've stopped in at the Buffalo Bar a couple times. Burgers, beef or buffalo, are excellent; fresh and seasoned so you don't have to hide the flavor with catchup or mustard. Battered fries, good selection of beer. The wine should be avoided (stored warm, too bad). Sports on big screens with captions so it isn't too loud, even for a bar. Slot machines in a corner behind a huge stuffed buffalo. This is our favorite place to eat in West Yellowstone.

My wife and I decided to split the 16oz Bison ribeye steak, salad and mashed potatoes. From the start everything was delicious, the steak came and we discovered just how delicious and tender it was, and even after dividing the meal, it was plenty. Christina provided excellent service, we especially appreciated her charming personality.

They won't cook your order to a specific temperature, i'ts soley up to the cook. Consequently it comes out dry and over cooked. Also the bartenders continued to keep serving alcohol to a patron who was very clearly drunk, mumbling his words and couldn't speak a clear sentence. This restaurant has everything it needs to be awesome. But they're holding themselves back. They don't seem to care about return customers, just prey on the new tourists that roll through town. I won't be returning

Every time I go to W. Yellowstone i plan on one of my three meals at the Buffalo Bar. I'm in town monthly. The last two visits I was leas than pleased with the meals.. One was the Buffalo Steak (or Prime) The last was the Fish -N- Chips, Saturday night, and the fish was over cooked Not sure the issues this year, however, will try again once more this summer. Annoying they would not take a foreign ID (English) and needed a passport - had to leave and return. Rather than stating they couldnt take the foreign ID from the beginning and needed a passport, we had to ask why the drink was not delivered. Bartender was nice, the server could have been way more polite.

Not only the best food in town but possibly some of the best food in ANY town. I’m from a food city (Chicago area) and this little place puts 95% of any restaurants I’ve been to to shame. I have three kids with me one of which is a super picky eater and they all agree the fries are the best they’ve ever had. I had the steak sandwich medium rare (cooked perfect) it was juicy and delicious. Only negative I can pull up is we were never asked about drinks which seemed strange considering it was a bar lol. We stuck with water but the food more than made up for any of that. We have tried a couple other places in town as well and none of them even compare. 100% recommend this place.

Typical tourist trap with poor quality food and terrible service. I had the roast and it was mostly onions with tiny piece of meat. Friend's beef bites were impossible to chew. Our server was obviously very unhappy with her life or something as she never smiled and hardly even spoke.

Sports bar decorated with hunting trophies. It's crowded place so we could only sit in the bar, all tables were full. Service is ok but don't expect too much attention as the bar is usually full and they run from one table to another. Food is also ok in line of what would be expected in this places and they have buffalo meat!

The patio here was my sanctuary for an afternoon. The beer was reasonably priced, the salad was excellent, and the chairs and umbrellas were great for reading in the shade. The bartender Isaac was absolutely fantastic; he clearly comes into work choosing to be upbeat and attentive, which doesn't happen a lot anymore and made the overall experience even better.

Julie was our server tonight and she was awesome! She was quick and observant of what we needed when we were close to needing it. She made for an amazing dinner. Omar was the chef tonight, and the food was KILLER!! I highly recommend the Buffalo Bar to anyone passing through, staying near by and families. We have a 5 year old and she enjoyed her food as much as we did. 10/10 in our books.

We ate at the Buffalo Bar when most of the other restaurants in town were packed and had lengthy waiting times. We had a good server who explained the menu to us. I had the black and blue salad (with a sirloin steak on a salad). The bacon was ground up, thickly covered everything, and was curiously bland and didn't taste like bacon. My husband has the BBQ pork sandwich which likewise was rather bland (but the BBQ sauce was good). We would probably not return, there are other places with better food.

Literally had to chase a Server down, not once, but twice. First to get acknowledged and some menus, then again after waiting 20 minutes for the side mayonnaise my wife ordered. Server tried to make up for forgetting it by taking the extra cheese my wife ordered off of our tab, which would have been nice if they hadn't forgotten the extra cheese in the first place. Service was basically a train wreck but I gave 3 stars because it is a pretty cool place and the food was good.

The Bison ribeye was very flavorful, however, very gristley and therefire disappointing. Mashed potatoes were great, salad was tasty and fresh. Service was adequate. We split the ribeye, had we paid $40. each for the ribeye, the score would have been lower.

Loved this place! The pork handles were excellent in that sweet and spicy sauce ! Their salads were great , the hard hot chocolate with the huckleberry cream liquor was pretty good but the katabatic was better . A nice IPA . This place is really well decorated ! I loved that kicking bull with the tasteful Christmas balls for testicles. Service was quick at first but it was really hard to get a hold of her after we were served, but they were busy but I'd definitely still be back! The cheesecake was their only dessert but I'd probably pass on it for the price honestly but I enjoyed everything else very much .

Ate here once and wasn't impressed...food was cold and took forever to arrive even tho a friend and I were the only breakfast customers. I do stop in occasionally for a beer and never have to fight for a seat, either at a table or the bar. Maybe this is a hopping locals place late at night or on weekends.

The wings were all breading and no meat and the burgers were way overcooked. I think they slather them in mayo to try to hide how dried out they are. Might be a cool spot for a drink but do not recommended for food

This place is fantastic! Opened at 9am and had great patio seating for our dog as well. I think this is the only breakfast place that is dog friendly in West Yellowstone. They served us delicious food. The biscuits are to die for. Staff was friendly and efficient. I thought all the prices were fair. Around $12 a plate. Eggs were done perfectly and I loved my spicy sausage. Girlfriend agrees and loved the breakfast scramble.

Decent sports bar , dont go there if you have a time limit though. Luckily me and my woman where watching my caps play and got double OT so the fact it took forever actually worked out perfectly for us. However ...my womans burger was cold... my cod was hot though so I am guessing they were just waiting on my meal. It's a good atmosphere though and family friendly.

My wife and I had dinner here tonight after another option fell thru based on their limited menu. This place turned out to be a pleasant surprise. My wife ordered the hog hammers and said they were good and very filling. I had the buffalo meatloaf and it was really good. The service was satisfactory but nothing special. We would likely return if in the area.

The Buffalo Bar is one of the better places to have meal in West Yellowstone. It is technically a bar, but it's family friendly enough to bring kids for dinner/lunch time (beware there isn't really kid menu). It has a great ambiance, the staff was great, and the food was well made.
