I had the opportunity of sitting down with the owner Steve and relaxing with a few drinks as we talked business from a VIP table. Lots of people dancing and drinking and having a good time. DJ was amazing and kept the crowd in suspense of the next song and they would go wild again. I've been a lot of different places and this one was unique. I heard about future plans for the club and Boise is in for a treat. 3 different bars to order drinks from and water dispensers available so no need to wait in line for water. I will visit again for sure.

Go HERE if you love great music, visuals, friendly and speedy drink/bar service and a stellar dance floor and dance music community. Fatty's always has a stacked lineup and they are the best spot for Electronic Music nights as well when they have them which is quite often. 5 stars!

I've always gotten great service from the staff, there is a Thursday night cover ranging from $10 to $15 depending on the talent, drinks are some of the cheapest of the pubs ,usually a great place to start your weekend festivities!.

This place has a stellar location - downtown Boise, on the same block as many other great bars and hangouts. I really enjoyed Fatty's, and the drinks are great. If you're looking to just get a drink and sit at the bar, go to Fatty's on a Friday night. If you're looking for dancing and some wild times, definitely go on Saturday. I was shocked by the difference in the crowd between the two nights and was told by locals that it's simply how Boise is.

Centrally located in downtown Boise. We went on a Friday night. Probably not wise, it was a odd crowd, but we had fun anyway. Upstairs only. DJ and a stage. Scantly clad dancers present on stage. Very poor bar service. Nice lighting. Dance floor huge. Small bathrooms.

Just like to say I have been to fatty's a couple times most of the time I enjoy it but the last time I went there I did not enjoy it I had bought a round of shots for the group I was in and after had a beer then started drinking water the next thing I know I was told I got cut off? Which I think is bull because there was a lot worst people in there I don't know the reasoning behind me being cut off when there were people falling down the stairs cause of how wasted they were..... didn't really agree with the bartender and neither did the group I was with...

The pool table is level, Tuesday night must be an atypical night. I was impressed by the enthusiasm of the staff for taking the challenge to make a classic Manhattan cocktail, so they earn a full 5 stars. I could go back again.

There was a guy who was constantly sexually groping girls. We stopped him from gropping our friend and he got violent with our friend and I. The guy taking photos fattys, whom I assume is an employee, just said sorry and let him stay. 5 minutes later he continued gropping other girls. Fattys doesn't care about the safety of their guests.

This bar is fantastic, and the staff is friendly. Lots of loud music and dancing. The bass can knock your drink off the table if you are sitting in certain areas, so be careful! But the stripper pole is fun and they usually have spinners and various other visual entertainment! And its about to get even better, from all I have heard!

I love going to this bar, if you want to dance and have a good time then this is the place for you. The bartenders are pretty great and the drinks aren’t really pricey and they play some pretty great music. If you are looking to go there when it will have the most people then usually a Saturday night between 12-2am is the best time to be there!

$15 cover wouldn't have been so bad if some of the staff were more lively, mostly the girl working the back. Some were at least professional but the girl that was working the back door could use more training. I was the least impressed by her performance. Had a great time otherwise and was definitely a great place to dance. Need to stop using sharpies to track traffic too.

Not my first run in with the very unprofessional staff member. Came in town on business, decided to give fattys another shot. Was waiting to order a drink, had my card in hand, the bartender “Breanna” seen me waiting patiently multiple times then finally approaches me with the “don’t give me attitude because this is my bar and can have you removed in a heartbeat” I never gave the young lady attitude nor did I disrespect her in any sort of way. I was very offended, still grabbed a drink and left immediately after. Kind of hard to complain on a busy night and when the staff backs her and lies for her, it makes things difficult. When you’re a bartender talking to a man who makes 4x the amount that you do in a year then it’s wise to keep the customer happy. I guess she just has it out for certain people. Hope she works on her poor & hostile attitude because it won’t get her far-J.B

Overall it’s a great night club! I’ve come here a few times and I really enjoyed my visits. This night club is one of the more well kept ones because of its interior renovations and focus on keeping it clean. The drink servers are friendly and make delicious drinks. The music is fun and the seating is comfortable. I recommend it! I’ve also noticed that this bar tends to have younger crowds.

Very energetic club. The bartenders and staff have always been extremely polite and friendly. The facility itself is usually fairly clean, however when I visited on 6/30/18 the floor was so sticky I was literally sticking to it if I stood for more than a minute in one spot. Disgusting. I had to use a friend for walking support. I won't be coming back for a while, thanks though.

There's a saying in Boise Idaho. You don't start at Fatty's bar, you end up at Fatty's bar. The reason being is that it is very loud very hard to get a drink and often very crowded. If you're looking for a place that has dancing and moderately priced drinks than this is the place for you. If you're looking for a place that's a bit more relaxed and you can have a conversation with someone I recommend going elsewhere

I came here Saturday night with my best friends Jesus, Angel, Daniel & Ramiro. We were treated reall badly, the bartenders kept ignoring us & when they finally helped us, it took forever to get out drinks. I was rejected by at least 8 girls on the dance floor!! I am never coming here again!!

Same music that's been playing for years now. Once in awhile you will get lucky and hear some decent tunes. Bar service is great, with awesome staff. Venue has been getting some decent shows put on by different local groups, worth checking those out.

For the most part this bar is enjoyable. The staff is awesome! The drinks are great! However the crowd control needs improvement, I have noticed out of all the bars in downtown this one seems to have a drug problem, where often times groups of people are tweaked out and fighting.

If you're looking for a place with no cover that plays great music to get down to, this is definitely the bar, lots of different events as well. Bar tenders are fun and attentive, and drinks are pretty normal for cost most nights, they will have specials like $2 well drinks. I have a blast dancing it up every time I'm at Fatty's.

For all the negative reviews........I went to Fatty's for the first time but was very hesitant because all the negavity I read. But I am here to let you know they are wrong. Fatty's is a good place to hang out dance and have a drink. The Djs, bartenders everyone interacts with each other. They come out and dance and just have fun. And the drinks are not watered. If you are looking to get messed up to the point where you can't walk you should stay at home anyway. But if you want to dance and listen to all kinds of great music. Fatty's Bar is off the chain. Thanks for the good time.

Floor is ALWAYS sticky, I've seen people get stuck and fall. Typical college club, music lacks in that it's always top hits, bathrooms are gross, takes at least 10 minutes to flag a bartender down and even when they look at you and acknowledge and they move on. Drinks are overpriced and usually end up incorrect.

AH Fatty's bar. This is a nice place to stop downtown if you want to have a laid back time during the week. It has a nice atmosphere and a very well priced happy hour. The place stays calm until 8pm or so on the weekends. Friday and Saturday night this place turns into a "club atmosphere" Some love that some hate it. Pick the time you go for the best of both worlds.
