I love that there is stadium seating in this intimate venue which allows everyone to get a nice view of the stage. No photography is generally allowed during the shows so be prepared to stay very present in the moment. Seating is first come, first serve and be prepared to share your booth if it's a popular show. Food is good and arrives quickly. Staff is excellent at checking in/ moving about without being intrusive during a performance

Guaranteed rate mortgage lender bank put on an event for realtors around Oahu. It was great the band was great! The service was great, it was really nice being there. I had a lot of fun letting loose hanging out with my work associates dancing and talking and getting to know some new people. I did park in the wrong garage though for validation. Parkings a little tricky I didn't figure that one out. The blue note is at the outrigger, parking may be there. I followed the question of where to park at East Oahu hotel but gps took me to the International mall which was just a short block away it was $12 for a couple hours 8 to 10.

We went and saw local King of Swing Kahulanui play and it was foot tapping solid gold vibes. These guys were cool. The venue itself was quite large with excellent views of the stage from where ever you are. The venue reminded of the places where the rat pack used to play in Vegas. Drinks were reasonable priced and staff were happy and friendly

Beautiful restaurant and tasty food. Pricey but having live music makes it pretty worth it. We saw Jeff Goldblum play jazz here and what an amazing show it was!! We sat right in front of him and he chatted with lots of us, it was awesome! Oh and try the French Onion Soup, trust me, its delicious!

Music was great. However the menu is terrible. The food quality is on par with a dive bar. Frozen fries, plain sandwiches, and the "short ribs" we're definitely more of a pot roast that had been reheated. And the plates are $20 - $40! Hard pass on this place unless there is a band/artist you really want to see.

We will start up with me searching the user reviews on food items; user reviews are not very flattering. My wife and I did not see much that looked appetizing and at the prices they were asking, we weren't trying to risk it. These types of places arent usually known for their food. I'll say that the garlic fries did look appetizing though. We arrived to pick up our tickets at the front desk and were received by the worst receptionist I can recall having. He was rude, he hurried me (there was absolutely no line), and not helpful at all. I felt like I wasnt asking stupid questions and as it was my first time visiting Blue Note, I wouldn't inherently know the ins and outs of checking in. The service was decent on the inside. The layout was better. That is really what you are there for. The layout was set up for you to sit where you wanted within your ticket group. There are two classes of tickets, one group sitting on the floor next to the stage up until the barrier where the slightly cheaper tickets reside. The floor is set so you have a strong likelyhood of sitting next to strangers, which is great considering you both came for the same thing. The show was good. I cant say that I recognized more than the one song that made the charts (rebirth of slick) but the base, guitar and keyboard background music was excellent. They seemed to have a great deal of audio concerns as the group kept on signaling back to the rear. I suppose this is to be expected as it was the first show of their first night. Overall it was a great experience, but Blue Note was just mediocre.

I performed there recently. I am a guitar instrumentalist comedian. But I also go there and watch other artists there. The shows are always good when I been there. Top name artist play there. Kenny G, Bobby Caldwell, Andy McKee, Tommy Emanuel etc. Room has good sound good seating.

You really have to be enthusiastic about the artist you go to see because with ticket, parking, drink and meal, it is a very expensive evening out. But it is a great place to see that special band. Oddly for a Blue Note, jazz is not usually on the bill.

Went to the 9:00 show. Got to get there early to get good seats. They need a fan for the waiting line as it is so humid. There is no bad seat in the house. So you can get the less expensive tickets and still enjoy the entertainment. It has been several months since I've been and they now have 3-4 ticket prices. The premium shows have higher ticket prices. It used to be the local acts the price was cheaper but no more. I wish they would change the menu or have specials.

We love the entertainment that the Blue Note books. The showroom has a beautiful decor. All the employees are very sweet and welcoming. But we have to say that the table service at the Blue Note is very bad. We have been there since it opened about I would say 11 times. This past Saturday we where there also to see Big Mountain. The servers have to up there game or be retrained or get a new crew. It takes forever to have a server come and take your order. Then delivering the order takes evern longer. Truthfully, we would like to say that the Blue Note could make a lot more money if they had better servers. What I mean is, we had a table of five, premium seats and was able to order just one beer each at the Big Mountain show. Big Mountain was fantastic as always but our rating for the showroom has to be a two star. Hate to attend another show if the service stays bad. Sorry but it's sad and but true.

This venue is awesome. I love the intimacy of it. However, the prices of the food and drink are astronomical. The doors open 2 hours before show time, so if you want a good seat, you have to get there early. And then you might as well eat to kill some time, because you definitely didn't have time to eat beforehand.

Wow, the fact that a lot of folks living in Hawaii don't have to fly out to see the amazing people that perform here makes Blue Note a tremendous value. Been here many times and love the venue for its seating and sound. I've never been disappointed with a show there. Well worth the cost to see world renowned talented artists share their craft. The food and drinks may be a few dollars pricier than what you may expect but its good and I feel like the premium is more of a contribution than penalty to keep business going and I hope they continue to do so.

What a great show with Dionne Warwick! Don't order the Prime Rib though... Served cold inside, meat had a slightly sour taste and the worst Prime Rib we have ever had. The burgers were good or order a salad. Hard to screw up a salad.

Went to another great show featuring the Yellowjackets. Blue Note Hawaii is becoming a great jazz venue, not quite on the level of Humphreys or Yoshi's, but hey, we live in Hawaii and for me to say I saw Yellowjackets in Hawaii, is an awesome thing. Blue Note still has a little ways to go because the food is just average. Nothing spectacular to write home about. For the prices on the menu, you'd think their food would be off the chain. But it isn't. It just isn't.

Loved this place! Who knew we'd go to two concerts in Waikiki? (Jody Watley and Oleta Adams). This venue is intimate ... in that I was having serious eye contact with Jody Watley as we sang together (ok, while I was murdering the hits and she sang). This place is so cozy, you get to the see and hear the performer's true artistry - there is no hiding on that stage. There's a $10 food / drink minimum per person, so just add that in to your ticket price. Most of the food is overpriced but good. I personally liked the truffle fries ... a bit heavy on the parmesan but that's just how I like mine.

Generally speaking a good venue with comfortable seats; the only real jazz club besides Lowers However, the business of allowing cruise ship passengers access to premium seating BEFORE the patrons standing in line is B.S. No explanations to other patrons, no anything I understand having to fill the seats/revenue. But "First come" is printed on our tickets, right? They can stand in line with the rest of us. Or we may not so much in the future?

I was very disappointed with the seating. I bought VIP Tickets and they wouldn't let us sit at a booth because we couldn't share (which they state you cannot reserve a booth for yourself - it's all community). If I'd known that, I would have bought cheaper tickets. The service was super slow only enough time for 2 drinks for the entire show. The band was great! but nowhere to dance. You basically come here, sit in a chair and watch passively. Nothing like the OG blue note in NYC from back in the day! this is a tourist trap spot with zero charm from the original. 5 stars for the band, minus 4 for the location.

I went to a great comedy show there today for my birthday.. my food that I order before the show started came out roughly 45 minutes later during the main act... I was given the correct check but when I was charged I was charged the wrong amount.. the hostess accept responsibility and brought her manger as I requested.. I asked the manger for a discount due to the hostess negligence and the manager refused telling me “I don’t deserve a discount because her employee made a mistake” I’m not sure how the management is trained to handle disputes but this was not the correct way...

Depends on the shows obviously, but it's an awesome little stage. Drinks are average, especially given their price. Food was good, but again, fairly steep on price. It's the same with all things Waikiki, I suppose. I'd definitely go again, given the right showrunner.

I've been here for several concerts and I love how intimate the venue is. The sound system is sufficient. The drinks are decent. Typically priced for Waikiki. The food is good. I haven't had a bad meal yet. I absolutely love how perfectly cooked my truffle fries are all the time! If there is a performer you like playing here, I would definitely recommend this venue!

Writing for a friend who had a bad experience and I’m annoyed for her. the venue and sound is amazing but they force you to buy 1 drink per set. Ok fine whatever. More expensive than Mai Bar at the Royal Hawaiian during sunset...but ok. The options were $9.00 for cheap beer, or $19 for a watered down cocktail served by an unfriendly bar tender who begrudgingly serves you. Sorry you’re job is so ruff dude

Had a fabulous time. Good food, great entertainment. Best to go right to the venue store to purchase tickets. We purchased from our hotel and they sold us 4 tickets to a show that was not. Just by chance we went to the venue store and it came up we had tickets for a particular show. They told us there were not two shows that day. We then had to go back to the hotel and spend another hour or so waiting in line and getting it corrected.

What a great night for our first trip to the Blue Note. We got there at 5 picked up our tickets at the desk and waited for about 2 minutes before the doors opened. We sat down right away and picked a booth in front of the stage. It's community seating but we got lucky and ended up just being the 2 of us. It wasn't packed completely but just right, people got up and danced and enjoyed the great reggae stylings of Black Uhuru. But let's get back to the beginning

I've been to the Blue Note quite a few times over the last few years, and this place never disappoints. Whether you're here for the music, the laughs, or for an intimate night with your partner, you cannot go wrong by spending it at the Blue Note. If you're of age, I recommend a sazerac to set the mood, followed by dinner at your table. Be sure to drop by the shop right outside the entrance to grab a souvenir (and to validate parking), or one of Oahu Gear Company's latest lids.
