We went to Celebrations for a Bayou/Cajun Sunday and the event hall looked really nice. There was live music and the food was very good. We had the gator bites, gator gumbo and fried shrimp and old bag fries. The food was really good and it tasted very authentic. I can very easily see this event hall being good for smaller events or wedding receptions!

Very unprofessional. First, there was only one server and there were more tables than I can count. That means that our table barely even saw her when we needed anything. Then, when I received my check, I saw that they automatically take out gratuity and it doesn't matter how many people are sitting at the table. That was very unfair because of the poor service that we were given. Then, at the end of the night, every customer had to have their credit cards manually scanned because of some problem they were having with the credit card machine. I was charged the next day and it was shown to be pending on my account. This was three weeks ago. I just got charged for the same transaction an hour ago.

First time here. It was a private event. The facility itself was nice. However the men's room needed to be cleaned. The food was nothing special. I asked the bartender which single malt scotch they have. He had no idea what I was talking about. I then named 3 brands. He was still confused. I had to point out one to him. It was right there in front. Definitely not on my list of places to go in Wilmington.

This is a hidden gem in Wilmington. Celebrations is well known for its fabulous old school dance parties and one of the best places in the area to host private affairs. What many do not know is that this place is a culinary gem offering a blend of Caribbean, Southern, Creole and Latin American influenced cuisine. Try the Ox Tails.............or the Blackened Catfish with Shrimp Dirty Rice and Gumbo Gravy.

It is a very nice place with friendly staff and owner. It is perfect for small dinner parties and venues. It also has a small dance floor and a stage for a band it alsi has a deck on the side for outside dining. The prices are very reasonable.

We were looking for a new place to have a birthday brunch and Celebrations on Market came up as a advertisement while online...so we tried it. Thank goodness for that blurb or we never would have known of this treasure. It was easy to find using the GPS and the Business sign was big and easy to notice. Plenty of parking. When you walk in there is a nice sitting area with long white leather sectionals and large screen television. Then you walk into the sitting area where the tables are nicely decorated and perfectly spaced. To the right there is a nice sized stage and to the left sitting back is a huge fully stocked bar. Once we passed these areas there was the section where the breakfast buffet foods were located. The buffett was 19.99 per person. From what I remember the buffet included waffles, biscuits, bagels, fried chicken cutlets (DELISH!), some kind of special eggs (I didn't try the eggs as they were made with peppers and some other things that I don't recall), some kind of potatoe salad, hash browns (they were good), deviled eggs, tea, coffee, and a few other things. The best thing I had was the cranberry hibiscus tea. OMG...I was instantly addicted. We also ordered a pitcher or Mimosa which was perfect. The buffet also came with 1 entree per person which a few in our party ordered regular eggs and bacon which they stated were good. PROS: 1. It wasn't crowded 2. The service was EXCELLENT 3. There was live jazz (the music was wonderful) 4. As soon as I walked in it felt like home. I could tell that the owner was very much involved in the decor and that it meant a lot to them. Everything was immaculate and perfectly placed from the seating area, the stage, the bar, the restrooms and the buffet decor. 5: the food was ok. 6. Easy to find. CONS: 1: I feel as though the buffet should have included more choices. Regular eggs. There should have been more meats like bacon, sausages (turkey,beef,pork) patties and links. Although you could order bacon as an entree it makes more sense to just have it and the others on the buffet. Also, fruit. Brunch should definitely include fruits. Maybe some grits and French toast. Orange and apple juice would have been great. I personally wouldn't have minded paying a few more dollars to have these items already included on the buffet. 2. 18% automatic included gratuity. We were 3 adults and 3 children initially and two adults did join us in the last 30 minutes of our stay. While I would have tipped 25% percent as our server was wonderful I felt slighted by the automatic gratuity and therefore just paid the 18% rather than what I would have tipped. Overall we enjoyed our time there. I would recommend this location for things such as an open mike night, a music review, maybe a party or a bridal shower as the location itself is awesome but I probably wouldnt return for the brunch buffet.

It was girls night out we got there it was the 1st fri of the month so there were lots of ppl. We got there at 11 jam packed we were charged 15.00 per person. Never in 15 years have I ever paid 15.00 to get in Celebrations maybe 5 or even 10 but not 15.00! Miss you it's was 4 of us so they made 60.00 off us. 12 30 I went to go smoke a cig and was told when I go out I cannot come back in. So disrespectful well give me my money back and refused....

Didn't like the food at Soulful Sunday buffet. The chicken tenders were dry and hard because typically, chicken tenders should not be something that you leave under a heat lamp in a buffet they usually dry out pretty quickly. The food was also very Bland on the buffet. The Jerk Chicken was tasty and very tender and the seafood soup was very tasty nothing else on that Buffet was good at all. We also didn't think the drinks were very good and we ended up with a bill over $100 and nothing was worth it. The band was excellent and the customer service was very good. They also added the gratuity to the bill. Shame that it was only a 18% gratuity because I usually tip 20%. All In All To Me the food and drinks were not worth what we paid we could have gone someplace else and pay that kind of money for excellent food. I was not impressed!

Arrived @ 7 for an event that was from 4-9 it was advertised jazz...but some lady was screaming gospel music off key.. was told i could only order drinks because the kitchen was closed.. We wound up waiting nearly 25 min for a drink my waitress was soo unprofessional...on the way out two different people were brought steaming hot plates of food. The whole establishment was soo unprofessional, and a complete waste of time..which is sad because i had high hopes for this establishment we had googled and were really looking forward to it and they just dropped the ball completely.
