The vibe was nice but the drinks were not great. For one, they served them in flimsy plastic cups with mixer straws, I was cringing the whole time because of the sheer amount of waste and also the fact that it negatively impacted their image-it was trashy. For two, one of the bartenders was super rude. He was basically the opposite of friendly and I don't know why he still works there. I went up to him once and after that I asked my fiannce to buy my drinks so I didn't have to interact with him. My fiance and our friend noted his rudeness after we left, and said they solely utilized the other bartender after interacting with him. Third point, the drinks were just not crafted well. The screwdriver tasted like tap water and vodka with a splash of orange juice. It also looked like that. The ratios were not the same from drink to drink either. For $7 a drink I expect the mixer to know what they are doing. They also didn't have moscow mules because they didn't have ginger beer. It's not that big of a deal, but it's a pretty standard drink that most places serve. I wonder if they don't offer it because they don't actually mix drinks properly. I honestly don't even want to come here again just because of those three things, even though the music was good and there were a decent amount of people there. If you don't want to drink there, you will like it.
Love to dance my issues away with great peeps!
Great place to network good for meeting people and you can dance all night. The Darkroom is the best. Amazing dancers and really cool Locals. The sound system is the best in town. This is the place,
Great people, amazing environment. Definitely the place to be Wednesday & Saturday.
Amazing place to go if you love new wave, goth/industrial, and electronic. Each night they have different DJs, and at least 3 rooms with different music. Milk also has a huge patio if you're more into the smoking and hanging out scene. The aesthetic is amazing in here, and has really sick arcade. The only reason I'm giving Milk 4 Stars is because the staff are a bit rude, but C'est la vie. It is a club after all.
Great atmosphere, strong drinks, awesome music.
Alternative club with 3 rooms for dancing each with their own bar. Heated smoking deck for when you need a break from the crowd inside in the winter.
Thursday nights in the underground have my <3 Thanks so much for continuing to supply the city of Denver with incredible music!
Bizarre place with a sad sort of energy. If you’re going with a group, prepare to lose track of everyone almost immediately. This place is a maze of rooms and with the crowd that was in there for a “secret concert” it felt pretty unsafe. Just not my thing.
This place is shockingly cool!
Yup....
Cool place I like the style. Definitely get the scorpion bowl!!!! Good service stuff I'm glad there are still good tiki bars
milk n cookies
When I lived in Denver, and before I had my daughter, this was the best club that I knew about, and went to every weekend. I usually hung out downstairs with the fellow goths, and played pool in the pool room, and I met a few of my friends there. Definitely 5 stars here, and will be there next time I'm able to come to Denver
I like the bar/club
perfect for a really chill night out :) awesome game room, dark vibes
The Swiss army knife of bars. I found my self at Milk.
Great dance scene.
Great staff and always a nice group of people at the club. The special events are worth attending.
Cool club
Surprisingly fun and very chill. Great sound system. Loved the acoustics of the small painted room. A place where you can fly your freak flag without worry. Very unpretentious spot. Tons of Comfy seating areas, nice nooks, if you'd like a bit of privacy. Great lighting and design, I was very impressed by this place. Most days cover is free or very low, and drinks aren't super expensive. This place is a must see when in Denver.
Went with a group and had a great time dancing and was actually able to talk/hear each other. I like the other rooms too which blends different types of people to make one great party!
Not a straight people club.
Great drinks and music.
Best nightclub in Denver. Four different rooms with different themes, and activities every night of the week and throughout the month.
I absolutely love this place! It is probably the spot I frequent the most in Denver. I'd say the best aspects are in that: 1.) No two nights will be the same. Literally. The layout of the space will be varied from night to night-- you'll have to go to understand! 2.) It lacks pretentious folks. This is, in my book, amazing! 3.) The music varies widely from night to night and room to room...move around, find what ya like! 4.) The service is on par, prices reasonable, drinks well-poured. Staff has never been disrespectful to me or anyone accompanying me, period. 5.) Nice, central location! Heads up tip: entrance is in the alley! Now, just go have a good time! In fact, it's 9:15pm on a Friday as I type this, and I'm realizing...I think I have some place to be! See ya there!
Great place for drinks and good music during Goth night, which takes place every Wednesday night. Love the bartenders. They make great "surprise me" drinks for a cheap price. Just ask them for one, they'll prove it to you. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere, great for dancing and hanging out and meeting new people, or just being with friends.
I really enjoy this club but the speakers are CRAZY LOUD for such a small space. I do not know why they want to make you deaf listening to depeche mode.
Cool goth industrial hangout in Denver. Open minded and safe.
80s music
Lots of fun
This is one of my favorite places to dance in Denver! Lipstick night on Friday’s is so much fun. The place can be a little clicky but if you ignore the drama it’s a lot of fun!
You may find a room that fits your taste, if not, it probably isn't for you
Cool place and a really unique atmosphere
My favorite bar/club to go to in all of Denver. The people are awesome, kind, and easy to start a conversation with. The place has several rooms, 3 different Dj's and genres of music. They have a game room as well so you never get bored. The bartenders are absolutely great. Shout out to Suzanne, Fletcher, and Vincent! They are always kind, remember me, and what I drink. It's a great place all around and I love everything about it! So much fun!
Dance however you want. Meet in the alleyways.
Awesome place - you will have a blast. Great music (electronic/industrial, and 80's room also. Cheap strong drinks.
We had a great time, lovely people, great atmosphere. Loved being able to go to different rooms with different music. Bartenders were very sweet. Only downside, broken atm and coat check only took cash; had to carry our coats all night.
Good beats n strong drinks go a long way in my book!
I feel ripped off. $5 cover and that place was empty on a Friday. DJ's were so so. Staff was fine. Way more guys than girls. Probably won't go back. I'll post pic of what it looked like
Wednesday and Saturday nights it's the place to be, doors open at 9, get there before 10 and no cover charge. 1 room is 80's retro and the other Goth / Industrial / assorted music. Entrance is in the alleyway behind Bar Standard. I hadn't been there in a while and they now added a "Green Room" for EBM / Dark Electronica type music
My favorite place in the world!!
Seriously the best club in Denver, love the ambience, they always play the best music, cheap drinks great bartenders, especially two one named Doug one named Vincent, if you see Doug ask for a pink lemonade! Not to mention a amazingly cheap cover! What’s not to love!
always a good time with friends we stepped out on a Friday for a friend's birthday.
My favorite nightclub!
Best kept secret in Denver!
I'd heard someplace this was a dive. Not so! Went to Goth night. Employees were great, polite and such. Bartenders were willing to make what I asked for, etc. Restrooms were clean. Lots of places to chill and talk. Lots of room for dancing too. Nice place.
One of Denver's only opportunities for alternative clubbing. The goth nights on Weds and Saturdays both can be a lot of fun. Thursdays tend to be really quiet unless there's a special guest, which then means a cover charge.
$5 cover for a game room, main room, goth room, 80s room and another room? Amazing. It gets even better though. Milk is the perfect combination of dancing, music volume, seating, and density. I'll miss Milk if it ever changes!
Great atmosphere, the venue is soooo dope. Loved the music, i think the hemmed nights are awesome. It’s not full of immature people, it’s a club for people who can be respectful. So much space and a plethora of places to sit and chill. Lots of room for dancing! The staff is so friendly and positive. I was visiting from out of town and discovered this place. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you for an awesome experience
My Nirvana
Great staff.
Was on point
So my fiance and I came here for the night as tourists and it was dead, no one was there. Apparently the nights to go are Wednesday and not Thursdays haha. Their drinks are pretty pricy for the the size, $8 and up, just stick to beer, $5 a can. Different levels and rooms very cool to check out. The one bar closes a little earlier than 2 and they clear off the patio early too. The bar is in the ally way so when your uber drops you off on the main road, don't be alarmed! The music isn't that great but when you're drunk it's not bad.
Great bar in Denver! I went on Wednesday for the goth/industrial night. Easy, well lit parking, inexpensive & strong drinks, 2 dance floors, one playing generally darker music than the other. Lots of friendly creatures to mingle with. The DJ's definitely have a sense of humor. Most of the music in both rooms tended to be electronic ebm style with the darker room tending more toward industrial like Haujobb or Skinny Puppy, & the other more synth pop like Depeche Mode or early NIN...Not very much straight up goth or death rock. Quite a fun night, I'd go again next time I'm in the area!
Goth/alternative club. They're open wednesday-saturday, which is kinda nice. The bartenders are friendly. And the people are cool in general. It depends on the night and who's being sponsered how much of the club is open/how crowded it is. But sometimes the cover is free, so who can complain really.
It is a lot of fun but the bouncers do not care about women's safety. A man pushed me and when I went to ask for help from the head bouncer and he told me there was nothing he was going to do. Accused me of having sexual history with the gentleman and threatened to kick me out when I tried explaining I wasn't comfortable talking to him anymore. My friends then proceeded to try talking to other employees but because they were all friends with the man who put his hands on me, no one did anything. If you're a female, take extra precaution because the bar will not step in when you ask for help.
With the entrance in the alley, this dark basement nightclub maintains a strong and eclectic local following. The two or three rooms (depending on the night) are mostly dance floor, and the drinks are strong and reasonably priced. A good place to go have a drink alone or with friends, mind your own business, dance or watch, and be respectful of others and expect the same.
One of the best nightclubs in Denver. If you want 80's and industrial this is the place. Some of the best people watching you will ever see.
Awesome nightclub in Denver.
Went for the first time last night and had a blast! Good atmosphere, friendly and approachable patrons, nice staff and great djs! I love how the 3 main rooms are all styled completely differently and each plays its own grenres. I got to dance to Puscifer and ABBA in the same night. How cool is that! There's also lots of places to chill and sit when you are tired, there's a great rooftop patio with lots of couches for when you've danced too much. Best of all, the were ample bathrooms, all of which were well lit, full stocked and reasonably clean considering the volume of people they handle. I love this place and will be back!
Dark hole, bunch of Goth wannabes and crappy music
Arcade games, pool table, friendly staff!
This is my all-time favorite club, and I work at a club lol. Honestly best vamp club I have ever been too.
Great vibes and a great assortment of music.
Great club - cover was $5 night we went, not sure if that's standard or not though. Every room plays different music and every room has its own bar. There's a smoking room also. They have different themes in every room, ranging from oldies, techno, EDM, and hip hop. Worth checking out!
I would rate a lot higher as I really like this place, it's awesome and has multiple levels with different music on each floor, prices are reasonable etc. However, it says that it's open until 2AM when in actuality the lights turn on and everyone gets kicked out anywhere from 20-40 minutes before closing, seemed to be at a different time everytime I went. So don't show up later in the night because you won't get as long as you expect/and pay for. Only once have I seen someone act belligerent who was bouncing up and down chaotically, bounced into me a few times and then wanted to fight me and this was in the chill retro room... made no sense at all.
Love the vibe and atmosphere, needs more patrons but still had fun.
Great Vibe!! Love the rooftop!! Amazing views!!
DJs are hit and miss
Great place to hear music, dance & drink.
Always a good time.
What a great place! Friendly people, great bartenders, ambient atmosphere. 2 different dance floors spinning 80s and industrial music. I will be coming here again when I visit Denver!
So many different vibes within an eclectic atmosphere. Always a good time.
Such and interesting and awesome club. Apparently there are between 7-12 different rooms depending on who you ask, but I was only able to find 5. Very funky vibe
Fun place.
I don't get the hype. Why are people saying this place is worth going to? The alley way where you have to walk through had 4 homeless drunk/strung out people. It also smelled like urine and puke. I went today for Thursday drum and bass. It was okay at first and just turned strange coolio remix of gangsters life. It was quite awful. I thought it was drum and bass? Then the DJ switched to a top 40 song. It was god awful. Nothing close to drum and bass. I would like to say that goth night is quite fun with the two rooms open and you get to chill in a relaxed environment and there's eclectic, strange music. I was piss drunk when I went on goth night... So okay i can't completely fault milk but at the same time I felt stiffed by the tiny ass 4 oz plastic cups that they charge $10/drink for which BTW is mostly filled with ice. Terrible waste of money with awful music to boot. Sounds harsh but really, the living room was the gem in this area of bars. They had live jazz and it was fantastic with live band too. Not to mention nice quality drinks that are served in glasses with a relaxing clean environment.
I can’t even begin to describe how wonderful of an experience I had here. Brought my date as a surprise and they curated our drinks perfectly to our liking. Then the apps came and all it did was give me goosebumps for the main course. The atmosphere is sophisticated and sexy. Music comes on late night which pairs so well with the late night vibe. Moss was my server and I want to come back and request her again! Don’t think. Just come.
Lot of dance rooms/floors with different kinds of music in each. Crowd is great, drinks are awesome, servers are kind!
Had a awsome night! Thank for making my first night club experience a great one! So glad i chose to come here tonight
Love the varieties of different crowd they cater to. Friendly staff. Home away from the stress.
The best party in town is at Milk Bar every week
If I could give this place negative stars, I would.. Point is, my best friend had went here the other night, was ruffied and possibly raped.. Apparently this happens often here according to others that we've spoke with.. It also apparently is ok to bring in duffle to this establishment.. All in all, don't be a victim..
Best club in town! (Wed. and Sat. nights!)
Great place to dance and meet new people, has 3 rooms and each one with a different pace, super polite and friendly attendants
I’m from Kansas City and went to Milk for a Birthday party! Cool place, and what I loved most is the eclectic interesting fun people! All kinds of beautiful people! I saw people from all backgrounds and it was refreshing! A little hot and sticky in one of the rooms, but can’t always control that. Overall, great place, nice staff, great drinks, great vibe! If you want to meet cool people, it’s a must go!
One of the better new age clubs lots of music options from 80s to goth industrial & i was very impressed...
Hands down definitely my favorite night spot in the whole city. Been living here in Denver 3 and a half years now and have not found a better club. There's other cool clubs out there to be sure, but this place has character, and that can be hard to find. The people, the staff, and the music are all incredible as they are diverse. My fiance and I come here every weekend if we can. In fact, we're about to head there right now! Come join us! We're the ones with all the cool glowy toys!
Great atmosphere fast drinks
Fun place with multiple rooms for dancing so you can pick your groove to dance to. If you're all about shaking your butt this is your spot.
Really the only place I want to party in Denver. Wednesdays are fire. I love everyone there.
Milk is awesome. It's my favorite club in Denver. The only downside is that it can be pretty hard to find the first time (it has a rando alley entrance). Once you get there you're in for a good time though.
It's my favorite place..
We are homeowners within the vicinity, sometimes the volume is extremely loud on Friday nights, even with earplugs in. Please respect the homeowners and residents around you by keeping an appropriate volume after 11:30pm. Thanks.
Djs spinning dance music in several different rooms.
It's been a minute since I've been here, don't remember the last event. But been here a couple times mainly for edm shows. It's a big venue, but depending on the event it can still get really crowded. Inside has a lounge area, 2 bars, a dance floor and tables. The tables are on the sides of the dance floor. Never got a table here so not sure of the pricing. Outside is probably my favorite patio than anywhere else. It's big, very open, has a bar, and some lounging tables and chairs. It's nicely lit and can still kinda hear the music from the inside, so can head in if your favorite song comes on.
This is the strangest club ever. I’ll never go back there I got such a strange vibe. Definitely not my crowd.
Was here last night this place is absolutely amazing. Great place to chill and kick it. Get weird and no one bothers you.
Best underground club in Denver. Thursday night's are the best if you like deep house/techno. A lot of great Djs worldwide are featured here. Einmusikk and soul button were here just a couple months ago...really cozy place and the bartender is awesome ! Great place to unwind and enjoy the music, the crowd is also very nice, good people, you can feel the vibe. Call and ask before if you're not sure about the music, chances are you will end up liking it anyway.
Went here for George Michael night. It was a great time, not overwhelming if you're lowkey. Pretty cheap too.
One of the weirdest places in Denver. Love it
Great club, make sure to check out the green room, different type of music every Saturday,. Don't forget to check out Ascension A Dark Clubnite
Fantastically cool bar and dance place with a lot of 80s music on tap. Drinks are reasonable and they have a good selection
It was cute and fun to dance in. I was there for a drum and bass show they hold every Thursday and it was very nice as far as crowd size. The rooms are super cozy too.
Mmm its ok
Milk's strength is in options and cost. For an inexpensive $5 cover, you get access to 3 different dance areas with different types of music, typically electronica, 80's and goth. It can be a good crowd or not, like any place. We had a good evening and bailed when we'd had enough without feeling like he had to 'get our money's worth'.
Cool edm music, great dancing atmosphere and very nice staff!
Great DJs, great atmosphere, cheap cover, cheap drinks, several rooms to bounce between. Mostly wheelchair accessible: one room and the smoking deck has stair access.
Diverse crowd with interesting scenery. Open your mind and be ready experience folks from all different areas of life, and the understanding of such.,
Interesting place. It closed early when we were there and the music was a little outdated but we generally had a good time. I like the retro atmosphere though and would visit again maybe on a weekend
My favorite spot for drinks and dancing. Multiple bars including a video game bar, 80's bar, and of course the goth bar. You can find anything you want at milk!
So much fun to explore. Lots of venues in one- makes it a good place for people who don't know exactly what they want for a night out. Excellent music.
Came for Goth night, not even my scene. It was a Wednesday night and I had a blast. Very welcoming and friendly people here. I will definitely be back. It's very accessible for those in wheelchairs however no access to patio.
Wasn't here for long but there are a few rooms that have an assortment of Gothic and Industrial music so you could probably find something you're into. Drinks were good and cheap. Good place for people watching. More legit than The Church.
I normally love this place. I've normally been upstairs and enjoyed this particular area. Last night was a different story. Nothing labeled stating my friends and I ended up in a new bar. No way to get back downstairs. Bouncers treating us like we were incarcerated. We were just trying to meet up with people for my birthday and they wouldn't verbally explain that we were no longer in Milk. Continuous shaking of the head and looking at us like we were 4. A few thoughts: 1. Clearly label the location. It's dark and it's a bar. 2. Be a little kinder to your customers. Especially when they are asking simple questions. 3. If an area is "blocked off," have a person there. Not a trash can. 4. Have your employees address others like they are adults, not stupid lost sheep. We were just confused why our normally fun spot was suddenly a completely different place. Felt like being a vegetarian but ordering a double cheeseburger. Thought about not writing this review and letting it go, but it was a huge letdown for many people. A birthday party became a scavenger hunt, and a place that's usually so welcoming and fun instantly became an exclusive, confining bird cage. Milk, please figure out a way to make your establishment a place where customers and employees can work/play smarter, not harder.
Not the best music. I wish there was more Latino or dance music and less remixes. But the cover fee killed it
So much fun. Dance, dance!
My favorite bar in Denver by a long way.
Small venue / poor capacity management for a high fan based artist -- Also no AC.. It was super packed and not worth it. - However I'm sure on a normal weekend this place could be decent.
You can't beat goth night. Great bartenders, great DJ's. The environment is fantastic. It's safe. I've never had a creepy guy manhandle me here. It's a much better crowd with much matter manners and they appreciate body space. The decor is eclectic. It's fun and everyone is friendly. I just love coming here!
Strong drink, good music, and great atmosphere.
This club is so much fun!! I love the vibes, the people, and the music is so varied that everyone is pleased! Drinks are as expensive as they are at any club but considering the reasonable entry fees, im not too mad
Great vibe but half the staff is ridiculously rude. The drinks are a bit over priced and weak sadly.
Fun and upbeat!
Vincent was an amazing bartender. Great atmosphere and music.
Thurs for techno
The staff alters the tip amounts and charges patrons more than what they leave on credit card receipts. I visited Milk on 3/31/18 and had a bill of $18.00 and left a $3.00 tip. My bank alerted me on 4/4/18 that a $13.00 tip was left on an $18.00 tab. Needless to say, the bartender who served me added a 1 to the front of my tip to increase his profits. I've contacted Milk who never responded to my complaint and filed a dispute with my bank and left a complaint with the BBB.
Cool Club
good underground acts on Thursday's and a general good vibe. Bit darker which adds to the ambiance.
We showed up on a Saturday night and they were closed!
I was looking for a victim...I found my mime friend from childhood instead....instead I bought two steaks and found bubbles..I'm still in bad trouble
This place is amazing. Entrance is in an alley and plays great music. The night I was here, they were playing house in one room and hip hop, I think, in another. The fact they even have two music styles playing in two rooms is cool as hell to me. Supposedly inspired by the Milk bar in A Clockwork Orange, but I don't see it. Moderate drink prices.
Went on a Saturday night, a couple of the rooms had really fun music (some industrial and synthwave stuff) the other had some more typical sounding stuff. Lots of different places to get a drink, drink prices weren't the worst I've seen. Staff and other patrons were all nice. Lots of different vibes, but everybody seemed to be having fun. Will definitely be going back, gotta check out one of the goth nights
Themed rooms, theme nights. Very polite staff. A ton of fun. Going again!
