My family had a nice experience. Our waiter, Kevin, gave very conscious service for us and was very friendly. Cool mountain atmosphere, and my wife said she thought it was the best steak she'd ever had (literally).

Just walked into this place for breakfast. Did not feel welcomed...upon entering we weren't greeted at the door. When the waitress with long braided pigtails noticed my boyfriend and I standing at the door she didn't say anything to us or asked us to take a seat...just glared at us. It's not like they were super busy..they had three other customers there. I'd recommend going to 'the good life cafe' a few minutes down the street. They were fantastic! Like they say, first impressions are important..

Good food slow service

Upon entering there was no hostess .We waited too long to get seated, restaurant was empty with plenty of staff running around. We were seated and not given menus, which took around entirely too long for us to get. Our drink orders were taken about 20 minutes after sitting. While waiting for our food, two parties had similar experiences in waiting for a hostess. They waited around 15 minutes and eventually both left after receiving no help. When it was time for our table to order, I asked about the spaghetti bolognese sauce, which i was told was a marinara based (not cream) with meat, and ordered that. The plate came and looked and tasted like a can of sloppy joe meat on top of pasta, there was no marinara sauce to it and the pasta was dry. The meat "sauce" also had chopped carrots in it, which i was not a fan of. I asked for some marinara sauce but this did not help much. I made it clear i did not like the plate but no aplogies were offered. For 22$ i expected much more in a bowl of pasta. The bombay flatbread had very little flavor to it. My buddy had the porterhouse steak which he enjoyed, but the staff could not find a decent steak knife for him to cut it with. He kind of had to tear it apart with a dull knife and fork. Overall the food was overpriced, and was not very good. The service was poor and slow, our waiter did his best but it appeared not many other staff members cared enough to provide good service. I would not recommend this place.

Rafters is the place for a crackling wood fire, high ceilings that soar above a stunning bar, and one of the best happy hours of all time. Dining is always exceptional, with perfectly prepared dishes that are beautifully presented. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and never been disappointed!

I have eaten at Rafters many times and am overdue for this review. The atmosphere is my greatest attraction to Rafters. It has a real locals feel that is unmatched in Mammoth Lakes. The food is always good and drinks are priced reasonably. Best Moscow Mule Deer in Town.

The waitress was great super friendly, and checked to make sure we didn't need anything frequently... But the food was expensive, and not impressive. The menu is very limited and really only dinner items. My burger was burnt and very dry. They either need to lower their prices or make better food.

Salads in the "for the table" section really are for the table. Mushroom ravioli was great. Free range chicken had nice crispy skin and was juicy and tender. Filet minion was ok, though slightly overcooked to order. Dessert selection is limited.

Nice place, empty. There is a reason. Poor food. ie burnt lamb shank. Supposed to be braised not burnt and dry. Shabby looking kithen staff. Poor hygiene. Poor presentation on a $30+ meal.

Enjoyed supper here 08/21/2019. Server Georgia was excellent, attentive but not intrusive, manager Brent was friendly and helped me find a decorative candlelabra they had that I liked, sommelier Chip served me an excellent Grenach, atmosphere was perfect, food was excellent, hard to find enough good things to say about my experience here.

Spend good money. It was snowing. They closed early. Waiting for my taxi they asked us to wait outside. And they stood behind us until we step outside. I would be okay if it was just guys but we had women in our party. Do not spend your money there. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Server dropped a hot plate of food all over my brothers lap. Never apologizes. Brings the bill at the end and took 10$ off the meal. His new Volcom boarding shirt and pants were ruined and they didn't even offer to Comp the meal. I was livid and told the waitress she should have tried to fix it by doing more for him. She didn't. The bill was still 107$ for terrible food, ruined snowboard gear and an inexperienced waitress who embarrassed this restaurant.

We had been there for about 10 mins without anyone getting drinks. She finally came up and asked if we needed drinks and when my wife said a well drink she said I'm a wine person so if you need any wine let me know. We said no thanks. She came around a few more times asking about wine even though we already had drinks. A

Food was extremely bad. Service was not good either. My family and I got there around 940 am. There was not many people there and still we felt the service was bad but not as bad as the food. It even made my sister physically sick. She was in pain for the rest of the day. On top of everything else, they automatically charge you a 15% tip. It's ridiculous. I strongly recommend trying a different place. Don't even consider going here.

The burger I had was one of the best I have ever had, but the free range chicken was small and over priced. The mushroom ravioli was good, but over priced. The menu was limited and the carpet has not been changed in this place since the 1950s. Overall, not great, but I would go back for the bacon cheeseburger again and again.

Absolutely loved this place and luckily stumbled across it while driving from Las Vegas to San Francisco. The food was excellent and the owner was very charming who knew his stuff about wine. He made me and my girlfriend very welcome.

Really cozy. I attended a concert at this Ski Resort and Spa. During the day the traffic is mostly families and college students. At night it was a live concert venue. The restaurant’s happy hour starts at 3:30pm but the bar is open early. I wasn’t able to eat at the restaurant but the club was lively.

We came here around 7 o'clock to get some dinner before we headed to our hotel room. This place was recommended by the hotel nearby, saying that they have great food. We decided to try it and boy was that a bad decision. We waited about 3 mins to be seated which was awesome but that's where all the good things end. We were given bread and water within the first 10 minutes but then we waited for a good 30 mins before a server came to take our drinks or meal order. We asked someone to help us and the person presumably went but he never returned. We finally asked another person to order and he was able to help us. I attempted to order the prime rib but was told they were out of that, I went to my second option which was the ribs and they were out of that as well. I ordered a burger. In all honesty the burger was decent but my friends food which was over $20 per plate was apparently not good and not worth it. We finally had a waitress show up to help us which made the experience better. She felt bad for us for having such bad service and food that she decided to give us Chocolate Cake on the house. She offered my friend more food since his portion was not very big. I think her name Liz, if management is reading this make sure to give her a raise because she made the experience just a bit more tolerable.

Very very poor service. They do not acknowledge you when you walk in. They close the bar whenever they feel like it at 3pm and dont do a last call. We were there watching an awesome band today on 4th of july and I walked in to buy a 2nd round of beers and after almost 10 minutes of standing there they finally walked up and said the bar is closed. Not sure how they expect to stay open in this expensive town but good luck.

Rafters restaurant is located next to the Sierra Nevada lodge where I stayed at. It's very nice inside with friendly staff with a full bar. What I liked most about the restaurant is the big fireplace in the middle of the room to stay warm in the winter.

We were graciously served by the executive chef during our Sunday Brunch. We ordered the duck confit benedict and the burrito with Mexican cheese inside, both were delicious and hot when they got to our table. Usually I resort to some hot sauce for heat in my food but everything was so flavorful the addition of hot sauce wasn't necessary. Good experience overall.

Servers were polite and helpful, however the food was not that great. All four of us had burgers, I ordered mine cooked medium- everyone else ordered theirs well done. However mine came back well done. And all of our parties fell apart as soon as we touched them. The fries were nothing but grease, and our appetizer came out with our entrees. It went horrible, but definitely not worth the $90 check.

Rude staff and poor service. Extremly expensive for food that wasn't even good tasting. There was zero salt in any of the dishes so it tasted like nothing. Our waiter didn't even to bother welcoming us in they just placed us at a table that wasn't clean when there were plenty of other empty and clean tables that were available.
